Fulltime result:
Man City vs Brentford : 1 - 0
Finally Man City can win after an only goal by Haaland
Thanks Haaland
Finally you made it

Again this season, Premier League is more and more interesting to watch, more than previous seasons.
What a beautiful numbers:
Quote
1. Liverpool - 57 PTS
2. Man City - 56 PTS
3. Arsenal - 55 PTS

And what a nice smiling faces

Premier League title race

It is absolutely interesting this year to see how the top Premier League teams are putting in the work to ensure they take the title home, especially Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal. But at the end of the day, only one club will emerge victorious with the title. That club is yet to be mentioned. at least, I think there are about 10 matches left to go, so there’s still much to be decided. I’m sure nobody can predict all the outcomes accurately right now, especially with the three teams mentioned above.

So, I believe that the title for this season will come from these three clubs, as they have been closely competing with each other from start to finish. Now, let’s watch and see what happens in the next couple of matches to be played. But for me, considering how they’ve been striving to win this title, I would hope that Arsenal can take it home again, at least for another time.

Manchester City, along with others, has also been very consistent in their pursuit of winning this title. There were periods where they were not performing as well, but they managed to pick themselves up, similar to what Arsenal and even Liverpool have done. So, let’s watch and see what happens in the upcoming days, especially with the few more matches left to play. I believe that within the next five matches, we should be able to determine who the winner will be.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wednesday had been my bad day to gamble. on: February 21, 2024, 09:16:44 AM
you might be transferring what you are experiencing at home to your gambling environment because their is actually no direct relationship between a day of the week and the outcome of the activity that goes on at that particular day.

I would also like to reason it this way because my thinking is, perhaps what is happening to him is that whenever that event occurs, which involves gambling on Wednesdays, he may not perform as well as he does on other days. Maybe there is something psychologically affecting him on those particular days when it comes to gambling. You should check that.  it’s very important.

I’m trying to examine or evaluate those things happening on Wednesdays that make him feel this way. Is it that he’s not waking up early enough for work, or is he not getting enough rest? Is it that he’s facing crazy distractions from elsewhere? Maybe those could be the reasons why he underperforms on Wednesdays. Also, Wednesdays are weekdays, and it could be that he’s overworking himself before gambling. That’s another possibility. On Sundays and Saturdays, which are weekends in most countries, perhaps he’s more relaxed.

I also believe it’s more about environmental causes rather than being attached to Wednesdays themselves because days themselves do not affect people. people take action based on what they do on those days, which could be a true reflection of their performance. There’s nothing particularly special about Wednesdays that other days don’t have. Everything depends on how you perceive it mentally and how you act upon it, which determines whether it will be productive or destructive.
383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 20, 2024, 11:15:31 PM
finally after dominating throughout the match manchester city was able to score in the 72nd minute. the goal was scored by manchester city goal machine erling harland. if able to maintain victory until the end of the match the race for the premier league title between liverpool manchseter city and arsenal will be exciting again.

Haaland is one of my favorite strikers and forwards in the Premier league. He's always on top of his game to fill in the goals when they are yearning for one. I enjoyed the way Haaland broke the deadlock at the 71st minute of the match when both clubs were haunting for one I was expecting a win by Manchester City at every minute of the game but I didn't know it will take them that long to conceive one.

This 1 goal win tonight has helped push Man City to the second position of the league with a point ahead of Arsenal and a point below Liverpool who leading the table right now.

Liverpool next match will be against Luton Town tomorrow which I believe its a good game for them to win to remain at the top of the table or lose to endanger their chances to remain top there. Arsenal's next EPL match will be against Newcastle which is ordinarily tougher but it is also essential For Arsenal to win that match.

Man City's next game will be on that same day with Bournemouth, I am pretty sure they will win on that match too. Two things are more likely to happen to Arsenal, either Arsenal will win and move ahead of Manchester City (if they lose) and Liverpool (if they lose) or Arsenal will draw or win to Newcastle and remain at the same position on thetable allowing both Man City and Liverpool to continue to lead.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 20, 2024, 09:08:55 PM
Currently Dortmund has a 0-1 lead in the first half even though this match looks even. Both teams have opportunities and this makes it possible for both to score goals. Dortmund has the potential to win the match because of its experience in the Champions League, but PSV, which has good performance, will be the team that can prevent Dortmund from winning.

Okay, I will renew my hope for Dortmund. We’re talking about the Champions League here, not the local league, where Dortmund hasn’t been performing well at all. They’re not even in the top three in the league. In that regard, there’s been a decline in performance for Dortmund.

However, in the Champions League, they seem to be stronger somehow. Their last two matches, one with PSG which ended in a draw and the other with AC Milan which they won, are quite impressive compared to their performances outside the Champions League.

So, since this is the Champions League, I may say they are likely to win against PSV here. But if it were the local league, I can confidently say that losing this much, even though they already have one goal, is concerning. I don’t really know what’s wrong with the team or the club, but they need to do better, really.
385  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How Does popular economic trends solve real life problem? on: February 20, 2024, 08:55:18 PM
Everywhere is currently flooded with the price of the dollar and fuel rising too high that has directly affected the price of foodstuff and so many things in the market and BTT is not left out as so many threads is now centred about our current economic situation.

My question is, how does this whole trend help reduce the price of dollar?

Wouldn't this public talks about how bad our economy has become tarnish our image and reputation in the public space? Or could it possibly make our leaders more concerned and set up strategies to help reduce the hardship on the citizens?

Are you asking why people are responding to this crisis or how they are responding to it? If your question is why, I will tell you that people are responding due to the current situation, which is tied to the high rate of the dollar. Unfortunately, Nigeria is a country that engages more in importation than exportation. This means most of the products we export are semi-finished or raw materials, which we then need to import back as finished products since we lack the machinery to manufacture them ourselves. Consequently, we end up buying these products in foreign currency like the dollar.

For example, Nigeria is one of the top 10 oil-producing countries globally, with vast oil reserves. Our oil sector contributes 70% to our economy. When the oil sector suffers, it leads to hardship, difficulties, and a depressed economy for Nigeria. Since we buy imports in dollars but sell them in naira, there's a systemic problem where we lose out, benefiting those purchasing our oil but suffering when buying back finished products in hard currency.

As for the how, people react to the situation when basic commodities become increasingly expensive by the day. There's a significant increase in the prices of everyday items like rice and petrol, making it challenging for individuals, including business owners, to afford transportation. The minimum wage does not align with the current cost of living, with items like cement priced at 10,000 Naira per bag and rice over 50,000 Naira per bag.

As a result, people are advocating for the government to address local problems and not to prioritize external interests. The government needs to engage with grassroots communities to understand their issues and implement initiatives to alleviate poverty. People are hungry, and the government's lack of action is pushing them to respond through protests, interviews, social media, and other means to air their grievances.

The government must focus on solving these issues promptly, keeping its promises, and engaging with the people effectively. Nigerians are enduring and persevering, but the situation is worsening, and the government needs to address these issues to prevent further deterioration.
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and its impact on my life: A journey to a better tomorrow. on: February 20, 2024, 08:00:15 PM
In conclusion, with this contribution, I want to convey the following to people, especially those deciding to enter the world of Bitcoin: Educate yourself, stay informed, and don't panic. Only invest what you are willing to lose. I didn't come up with this advice; wiser, more experienced individuals did, and I listen to them. If you encounter any issues, reach out to people who understand it better and have valuable experience. I found support in the Bitcoin Community group on Facebook.

I wish everyone, especially those who managed to read this far, robust health!

Thank you, Satoshi!

Your story is truly amazing and absolutely inspiring to me. Taking the time to write about your history with bitcoin, I believe bitcoin has impacted many lives, especially in developing countries like mine. I have gained some level of financial freedom since I started with bitcoin, which makes even more sense now as the local currency is declining and the dollar is rising. This newfound financial independence has made me more confident than before because of bitcoin technology.

For sharing your incredible story, I am willing to donate a prosthetic for you, which will help you walk with your artificial foot for the rest of your life. I will also ensure you receive training on how to use it effectively. I'll also provide a one-year warranty for the product, so you can always have it serviced or replaced if something goes wrong within that time.

Please send me a private message if you're interested in the prosthetic, and we can discuss how to arrange its delivery. We all consider ourselves part of one family here, especially when it comes to bitcoin. This forum has brought many of us together and continues to do so. Sharing inspiring stories like yours encourages more people, especially newbies, to commit to this platform and bitcoin technology at large. Therefore, we need to offer you every support we can to help you navigate this forum and continue to fulfill your purpose here.

Thanks, it's a truly inspiring story. It proves that Bitcoin is for everyone - it doesn't matter what ethnicity, social status, skin color etc you are. If you are patient enough and make clever investment decisions you will succeed even with modest investment. Thanks, Satoshi, thanks, Bitcoin!

Oh yes, that's one aspect I'm proud of. Bitcoin, as a decentralized currency, knows no ethnicity, coloration, nation, or continent. This is one distinguishing aspect of Bitcoin. Another aspect is its decentralization, which means it cannot be controlled. Even if one tries to manipulate or hoard it, it won't affect others. There's no scarcity in Bitcoin technology, so even bad actors won't benefit disproportionately. It's difficult for governments to print too many loads of cash and end up moping the ones available, which can lead to inflation, as Bitcoin operates independently of such centralized control.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: Carbon markets and climate change mitigation, Are we in the right direction? on: February 20, 2024, 05:32:33 PM
All these will continue to happen when we keep having leaders that are less concerned about the people and their welfares than what they stand to benefits from every of human activities be it harmful or not to the environment once it is under their own regulations because they are earning from it, this is the kind of economic activities our leaders have the courage of going for what is not beneficial to man but  accept their uses and operations because they earn from them.

I agree with you on this matter. We currently have leaders who are not concerned about the issues affecting us as followers or the masses. instead, they prioritize their own interests. They focus solely on activities that benefit their pockets, without considering the potential negative impacts on the environment or our livelihoods.

In contrast to the leaders of the past who prioritized the interests of the people and the nation, today's leaders exhibit a starkly different characteristic. Unfortunately, we tend to overlook this trait when selecting leaders. Instead of evaluating their performance, trajectory, and track record of tolerance and humanity, we often concentrate on the personal gains we stand to receive from them.

While I cannot speak for other nations, this is the reality in our part of the world. People place more emphasis on the financial power of leaders and what they can offer during elections. Consequently, we are unable to hold them fully accountable for their inability to prioritize the needs of the people.

This situation has led to leaders accumulating debts during campaigns and struggling to repay them with interest to their associates. They often misuse public funds, which should be allocated to projects, to settle these debts. In our region, there are political financiers who invest heavily in promising political candidates, expecting substantial returns on their investments through high interest rates.

So the carbon market was supposed to help fight climate change but now it seems like some richer countries are using it as a way to keep polluting. They invest in harmful projects but just buy carbon credits from others to balance it out. The issue here is that this can harm poorer countries which are already dealing with the worst impacts of climate change. It's like a loophole that might not be helping the planet as much as it should

Such situations compel us to questions like, who are these countries, what are their interests, and why are they involved in these carbon emmission initiatives? Some of them advocate for climate change reforms and other things, yet they contribute to the problems. How can we address these issues?

Many countries in Africa, particularly those in West Africa, face climate change challenges due to poor management of carbon dioxide emissions. This has adverse effects on the environmental health of their populations. Despite these challenges, leaders often prioritize personal gain over addressing the needs of their people. They focus on profiting from intervention funds and programs rather than implementing solutions.

In some parts of Africa, especially those near the Mediterranean Sea, flooding has caused widespread destruction, leaving many homeless and increasing the prevalence of diseases related to carbon emissions. Despite the availability of programs aimed at addressing these issues, leaders fail to take advantage of them, prioritizing financial gain over real solutions to pressing problems.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 19, 2024, 03:57:30 PM
Here your mostly points are valid which need to be settled because Manchester United is big club in Premier League and every season going like this has never been good they need to work on this which bring better things and discipline as well into their performance even with current performance most chances they will be able to achieve fourth spot with Aston Villa and Tottenham both are on decline which is surely beneficial for them but loses into early rounds are surely going to hurt them with right now we can't say they will be able to have third spot because this is really tough challenge 11 points difference and top performance from top three are not achievable.

Ten Hag is now doing impressive job just like he has done in last season with achieve good result but their consistency and players internal depth is also important for them if they want to keep things at better level in future hopefully now we will have good results in last few rounds which will create good entertainment in Premier League before end of 2024 season.

Aside from their match with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United have won their last 5 games consistently against Luton Town, Aston Villa, West Ham, Wolves, and Newport County, although the latter was an FA Cup fixture. With this performance, one can boldly say that they are capable of winning their next two fixtures, which include Fulham and Nottingham Forest. However, winning over Manchester City is going to be very difficult. While one can acknowledge that they have improved and are working towards earning more wins, the overall contest still remains in the hands of Liverpool and Arsenal.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 19, 2024, 01:45:54 PM
With this defeat, Bayern actually gave the victory to Bayer; everything that happens next will be just a formality to wait until the end of the season. I thought that this defeat could lead to Tuchel's dismissal, but the Bayern president said that they do not plan to change the coach in the coming months. Well, perhaps these words should not be taken so easy, let's see what happens if Bayern fails to beat Lazio at home in the Champions League.

Bayer Leverkusen is leading the championship at the top of the table, currently eight points ahead of Bayern Munich. This indicates that this season belongs to Bayer, and they are unlikely to lose their lead.

All they need to do now is to remain confident and continue winning more games. There are only approximately 12 games left before the end of the season, and with the gap Bayer has already established over Bayern Munich, it seems they will maintain their position at the top to win this season.

Bayern Munich can still hold onto the second position since they are six points ahead of Stuttgart, which is third on the list. Considering these margins, I don't think it will be easy for these three clubs to overtake each other in the remaining matches of the season.

Last time Bayer played against Bayern Munich, they won three goals to none, demonstrating their capacity to stay ahead of Bayern Munich. It's not going to be easy for Bayern Munich to catch up, but it will be easier for them to maintain their current position, at least.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 19, 2024, 01:17:00 PM
Monza is not in the top 10 of the points table. Nobody expected Milan to lose against such a team. But Milan can't play very well in the away match. Milan's defense in particular was weak in this match. This is why Monza managed to score 4 goals.
However, Milan have no chance of winning the SerieA title. Now their aim is to secure a Champions League ticket from among the top four in the table and win the Europa League title.
I agree, no one thought Monza would win this match even with a score of 4 - 2. Milan players began to feel they could maintain a draw at 2 - 2 and provided several mistake that can maximized by Monza players to take this opportunity. Monza's 3rd goal proccess startubf from mistake by Milan defender that thought there would be a one-two pass, so they focused too much on the Monza players who were running to fill their positions, so that Bondo had enough space to shoot and succeeded in scoring the 3rd goal for Monza. Likewise the 4th goal where Colombo was also very free from pressure from Milan players.

This is why I have never personally enjoyed seeing a team play reluctantly after winning a game or gaining a draw before the end of the match because anything can happen. The game's possession can change in the dying minutes, even at injury time. So, I believe in those teams that remain strong regardless of the situation. Even if they are winning 2-0, they continue to fight as if they are not the ones winning. That is the kind of football that I love to watch.

I know many clubs fall victim to this particular relaxation syndrome when they are winning, maybe leading by one goal or at a draw in a tough match. What I prefer from a club is for them to remain confident and maintain their strength as if they are losing, even when they're winning. They shouldn't give the opposite club any opportunity for chances that could lead to a win. This mindset should be maintained until the end of the match, even during injury time. However, there are situations where clubs switch to a defensive game when they are ahead or at a draw in a tough match, even among elite clubs.

The truth is, Monza displayed more confidence yesterday in their gameplay because they were able to score the first two goals before Milan equalized with Giroud's goal and then the second goal, which was scored by Pulisic.

On the flip side, the Monza manager was more emotional yesterday as he dedicated the four-goal win over Milan to Silvio Berlusconi, who once owned both Monza and Milan and passed away last year. It was quite emotional and thoughtful of him; at least that will bring more fulfillment to the players.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 18, 2024, 10:07:57 PM
Napoli were going through a tough time and this prompted the call up of Mazarri. At his debut game, he did well to win, even though much is expected of him, he just shouldn't be blamed if up until now the team are struggling to be consistent in victories. At least they're not always loosing games. They've got some wins and some losses too. Even when they played away from home to Roma who were a better side too so definitely it'd have been difficult for them to win although a draw wouldn't have been much of a bad result.

Napoli has not been performing as I expected them to this season. In fact, Napoli was one of the promising clubs that I thought would perform outstandingly this season. However, due to their inconsistency, which I believe is caused by the entire management team, including the manager, they have encountered some setbacks. It's not that Napoli is not performing at all, but their performance has not been as good as it was initially. This is why they have continued to drop down in the table and are not among the top teams or even in the top three, as they were before.

I think the issue stems from their internal divisions among players. There are players who have been performing exceptionally well, putting in their best efforts to ensure victories for the club. However, in the end, they are not being celebrated as they should be, possibly because they belong to different racial or ethnic groups. I believe this happened to players like Victor Osimhen, who were performing excellently for Napoli before encountering issues with the team and considering leaving. These internal issues are concerning for Napoli.
392  Economy / Economics / Re: I went London i have questions now the wealthy life there on: February 18, 2024, 09:50:32 PM
So far as I know, there is no report that there is a major crisis in London, UK, right now. Now, if you ask me if it is easy to survive there in that country, I think if you are not strategic, you will have a hard time surviving there. Because the cost of living there is too high now.

Properties and rentals are also expensive in London, and you know that. But there are many opportunities that you can find there that will suit your career.

For a long time now, I've been aware that living in London is very expensive, especially for someone from a developing country where costs, such as income taxes and house rents, are relatively lower. These aspects are quite challenging in the UK, and if you're earning a good income, you can expect to spend a significant portion of it on accommodation and living expenses. That's one aspect of living in London that I find disheartening, despite the relatively high level of security and the abundance of opportunities available.

As an individual, you can't simply go to London and stay at home, as you'll likely end up accumulating debts. The best approach when moving to London is to settle down and secure a well-paying job, unless you're there for tourism purposes.

In London, you need to work extra hard to enjoy your money, which is quite different from the Middle East, such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. There, accommodations and living expenses are more affordable, and there are job opportunities that cater to your needs, including basic necessities like food, housing, and utility bills.

Given the choice between the UK and Saudi Arabia, I would quickly opt for Saudi Arabia before even considering the UK.

The people you saw is very much the minority of the population. For every one of those guys there are tens of thousands who don’t have that much money & success. Try to be happy for what you have, there are a lot of people much worse off. Money doesn’t make you happy, material goods won’t help you be happy.

And that is why, for me, I believe so much in believing in yourself and self-contentment. Being content with whatever you have at your disposal is the best way to live life. Today, there are people who are ten times richer than you, have ten times larger houses, yet they are not too contented. They are still fighting to make more money, even shedding blood for it. But when you look back, you may find that you are doing better than them in terms of peace of mind.

I think it is very important to live a true life of yourself and not to fake any aspect of life. The truth is, most of the people you see there, maybe just a sizable number or percentage of people in the town, are really working hard to make money in the UK. It's not even funny because sometimes you have to take on multiple jobs to pay bills and live comfortably, maybe even relatively lavishly.

Like every other environment, there are people who want to impress the whole world, even if they are going into a lifetime of debt. You don't want to be like that because you don't want to incur debts that you cannot cover.
393  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics Are down now it's time print money but not the old ways new ways on: February 18, 2024, 09:26:38 PM
That is something that only US can do, not others including EU. That's because dollar is still the most used currency that is being printed out of thin air.
Additionally you are forgetting that when they print money, they are printing it to ALSO use it domestically. The money injected into different sectors will eventually lead to inflation even though they suppress it hard by increasing the interest rates.

I used to wonder about the rationale behind printing money and its connection to inflation, seeing it as a game and gimmick in the financial sector. Why is it that printing more money leads to inflation? And is there a bias towards the internationalization of the dollar over other currencies? Okay, we understand that for the sake of ease in the foreign market, also known as Forex, it may be preferable to adopt some currencies over others to facilitate transactions among transitioning markets. But if this practice is detrimental to citizens living in developing countries, then why can't every country operate with its own currency? Why must a country resort to using the dollar for foreign transactions? Why can't I simply use naira or yen for my transactions?

I suppose it should be a matter of choice whether a country decides to use its own currency or adopt another currency. I feel will be easier or beneficial. But why does it have to be the dollar? Isn't that somewhat imposing in the market?

Why can't we shift our focus away from fiat currencies and towards digital currencies? At least there are numerous benefits tied to the use of digital currencies. For instance, with digital currencies, there's no need to worry about being attacked on the road and having your cash stolen. I believe it would be easier for us to use digital currencies compared to cash because it would reduce issues like armed robbery and kidnapping, as these crimes often involve cash transactions.

I'm not denying the existence of cyber thefts, but protecting online money is generally easier than protecting physical cash. The world should be simplified, and while there should still be an option for those who choose to use cash, its usage should be reduced, and the adoption of digital currencies should be encouraged. I may not know much about how the financial sector operates, but from a layman's perspective, life should be made easier and simpler.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 17, 2024, 11:59:17 PM
Matches play are mainly for the elite teams, these categories of teams knows what they're doing and bringing on their best. If Juventus continue to record poor results in matches, they might as well end up becoming one of the elite teams facing difficulties. Juventus will climb down from second spot and slight into the categories of clubs fighting harder to enter the top four this season. So Massimiliano Allegri should talk to his boys because there are more challenges that ought to be overcome, it's not easy but gradual process.

Also quite annoying to see that Juventus is not able to win their match yesterday even though it is an elite team or Club I wonder why they could not just hold it tight with those guys and when the yesterday's match because I feel like winning that yesterday game would be a morale booster for them.

How Inter Milan continued to lead with a landmark 63 points ahead of others and Juventus is second to them but with 54 points making Inter to lead with 9 strong points. My calculations were that Juventus will win yesterday to close more gaps between them in points which would have really canceled 3 points instead of one.

Yet one will surely give respect to Juventus for their performances thus far as they've been able to stay strong to this point leaving AC Milan, Atalanta and Bologna behind. I think some players like Lookman of Nigeria in Atalanta had not been around as they went for the AFCON but without the player, the club was still strong to win its matches to push the club's forward.

Barcelona got what they wanted and this was a very meaningful win for them after experiencing bad results along the way. Celta Vigo can make Barcelona work harder in this match and maybe if there were no goals in the last minute from the penalty box, the result would definitely be a draw like before. Lewandowski looks to be back to his best and he was the winner for Barcelona with two goals. Lamine Yamal is indeed a talented young man and I think he can become a future Barcelona star if he continues to contribute well.

I'm not yet impressed with the way Barcelona is playing their games right now with less accuracy and confidence left for the fan because you cannot beat your chest as a fan and boast of Barcelona winning again in this season, example was their last match against Grenada where they drew with the team instead of winning. Their win over Celta was a big celebration for them even though Celta is in the 17th position of the table standing.

Now, Barcelona is at the 3rd position with 2 points below Girona but it does not seem like they will overtake Girona so easily as those guys have also been on top of their games this season and that's impressive.

Liverpool are now sole leaders, Arsenal are 2 points behind, and City can overtake Arsenal by 1 point if they win their game in hand. I'm really looking forward to the end of the round (how these separate games on Monday annoy me) to see what the bookmakers think. Maybe Liverpool and City's odds for the title are already equal?

Arsenal did me proud today, I think it is safe for me to say that Arsenal have improved in their game play to the point that have been able to overtake Manchester City yesterday and and now the second leading club in the Premier League for this season at this point and just two points below liverpool. I have Take a look at the last five matches and all I can say is that they have really proved and there is every possibility that they can overtake Liverpool at the table.

Arsenal played Crystal Palace 5-0 , then went ahead to play Nottingham Forest 1 over 2 with Arsenal leading the match, then they met with Liverpool who are the leading club and gave them a 3 - 1 defeat, then went ahead to win West Ham with a 6 powerful goal over none and the last one yesterday which was 5- 0 win over Burnley. Arsenal will be playing it next Premier League on 24th of this month against Newcastle and sure its a sure win for Arsenal too. Well done guys!

Even though it is nothing if you go out there to make something for your pocket, I don't think that should be your major reason why you are here. The forum is not all about making dollars but a data bank where you can learn a lot of information and get a lot of understanding on how Bitcoin and other cryptos operate.

You can be able to invest and trade Bitcoin among other things that revolve around Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. It is not enough for you to say that you came to the forum for the purpose of making dollars. That means you wouldn't come with a passion that you need to survive in the forum because, as far as I'm concerned, the forum is a well-disciplined place and it hasn't gone against its core values, one of which is to impart knowledge of digital currencies such as cryptocurrencies to the forum members.

The forum has also taken into account that to introduce local boards as a means of identifying the diversity that is in us and giving us that sense of belonging to contribute and also learn from activity and events that are happening within our own society or country, as well as how countries are adopting the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Saying that someone told you that money been made here and that's probably the reason why you came to the forum, I don't think that person has exposed you to the core objectives of this forum. Therefore, it may end up being problematic for you because you may not be able to understand the rules and guidelines guided by this forum and result in breaching the set rules and guidelines which is not what we hope for.

If the forum will look at that before picking moderators and merit sources from the local board, then the system is not fair to the Nigerians in the forum. Just like every other country in the world, scammers and good people nest everywhere and it differs to what extent they are in a particular location. The OP shouldn’t have just come up to say such about his country, although he must have been saying it out of context or joy of writing about scamming. He might also have said it because he is only aware of what is happening in his country without comparing it to what is happening outside of his country before making conclusions. I hope he learns from the corrections he gets from this thread.

I also don't believe that freedom of speech should allow someone to disgrace his country outside the world. Some Nigerians are looking for the slightest opportunity to pounce on the integrity of the country, and we cannot allow that to happen because we should not allow our country to go out with the notion of being a nation for scammers or painting us black in the face of the world. As Nigerians, we should remain our own ambassadors, and we should be the promoters of our own country. We are the citizens, and we know what we are facing. However, we cannot let our guards down out there because as much as we denigrate the country out there; the more it becomes difficult for the outside world to trust us, and that will affect us even more than it will do to the country or  leaders. So, if our leaders are not doing what they should do to ensure that our country remains great in the comity of other nations, then we cannot be like them as well. We must protect what we have and cherish it at the best.

The moment you carry the flag of Nigeria, you are meant to protect the integrity of the country, and whatever you're going to do that is going to paint a bad image of the country, you should avoid it. Let us be our own image caretakers, and let us try as much as possible to correct those problems and wrongs that we are facing today in the best way that we can. If speaking good about this country is the best thing we can do to right the wrongs, then let's continue to do that because that is what the nation needs.

We can see how the Super Eagles brought happiness to the country, and even the comments of football fans and other football lovers across the globe, including some FIFA officials, respecting Nigeria and the Nigerian players for how they have performed extremely well. That should be the way we should go about selling Nigeria out there, not looking for opportunities to downgrade our image and to let our guards down. There is no nation that doesn't have scammers, and even big nations that we think that we are copying have issues too, a lot of bothering issues. But what they do that we don't do is they hide their weaknesses and continue to show to the world that they are the best. But it's just never enough. An example that I'm going to end this discussion with is just because you can defecate, or as a human being, you're meant to defecate, doesn't mean you let your bum-bum (buttocks) out there.

399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL bitcoins, you can do it! Look at HODL camp map to build up strong hands on: February 17, 2024, 02:15:06 PM
Rightly said, every investor (Both Bitcoin as well as other assets) needs both knowledge and patience. It's not enough to just buy Bitcoin and hope for the best, you need to understand the market and the technology behind it because if you're not fully equipped with the knowledge you need to make certain decisions, you'll be exposed to lots of dangers that is capable of negatively impacting your investment and you might end up making wrong decisions and putting your investment in jeopardy.

And you're also right that the key to success is often HODLing for the long term, rather than trying to time the market or make quick profits and it takes a great deal of patience to HODL. This is a lesson that many new Bitcoin investors learn the hard way.

These are some of the pivotal aspects of Bitcoin that I want a lot of people to understand. The kind of perception we had about Bitcoin earlier was that it was a get-rich-quick money platform where you just put in some funds and tomorrow you expect it to grow bigger than normal. But that was not the case.

The truth is that Bitcoin is just like any other asset out there. It grows over time as the market is being patronized. The only difference that Bitcoin has over centralized currencies online is that it is a decentralized platform or asset where people jointly contribute to the growth and development of each, and also to the uptrend of the market, rather than just a government or a few sort of people deciding the fate of the currency.

This is, in fact, the reason why Bitcoin would continue to be an outstanding advancement in the financial technologies sector. Because the world is moving towards a world of freedom where individuals can have financial freedom and breakthrough through their own means, not influenced by a few people in the government or so. But many of us, like myself, thought Bitcoin was a get-rich-quick money platform where you just sink in some funds and expect magic to happen tomorrow.

And as we were studying the processes over time, we came to realize that that was not the case. Because this kind of situation creates fear in your mind and there are just misconceptions that were probably propaganda flagged by the government so that people would be discouraged from the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

But because of the consistency of Bitcoin and how it has grown over time, which the decentralization has really helped in the longevity of the currency and how it has been able to stand the test of time, now the government cannot fully lay out campaigns that would negate the use of Bitcoin because people have become more knowledgeable and gaining more understanding of what Bitcoin stands for. And it has grown over time. For those that have believed in the process, at those very critical moments that Bitcoin needed people to believe in it, they are the users that have benefited immensely today. Indeed, everything in life needs consistency.
400  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: House of reps moves to stop sports betting in Nigeria (am news) on: February 16, 2024, 11:16:08 PM
So my own na be say how in see this move?? Wetin be the advantage and the disadvantage wey dis move fit get on the society especially the young people them, make we discuss our ideas how una see am.

The small knowledge where I get on top this matter, I no think say them fit just remove sport betting for the country but I feel like say them fit try to regulate am to the best of their capacity which cannot stop Nigerians from sport betting. Nigeria no be China abeg, and na only for countries like China such kind of matter fit happen. For other countries, not Nigeria alone, them no fit stop gambling by the government

Make we even reason am say government wan ban people from betting, shey na all the betting sites them fit identify come ban us from logging those sides. As if guys no get VPNs again to tweak their location again and even if them seize the license, boys go look for alternative so nake them just forget about that one use the same energy fight insecurity.
