Atletico Madrid is indeed a solid team in defense, but the quality of Atletico Madrid's defense is almost the same as Inter Milan in the Champions League.

The form of the two teams in the Champions League is relatively similar and both are unbeaten in the group stage. I believe both teams will try to win the match and take advantage of the opportunities that exist, but Inter playing at home is considered more deserving of a high probability of victory. The team's performance in the domestic league is a reference, but I think the atmosphere of the Champions League will never be the same as the domestic league.

Inter are really very highly favoured today. I must say that they have been doing a superb work in the Serie A so far. But their opponent is Atletico Madrid anyway. This is technically a quite difficult match on paper. Atletico Madrid aren't having a poor season either so I wonder where I'm missing a point.    I don't feel like it would be a very comfortable win for Inter in terms of score. But when it comes to how this would end up I would expect Inter to win one way or another.

They had better do so because their job will be much more difficult in Spain. 

The main job of these teams is crucial winning in matches. Inter Milan are favorite to win Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 first leg. What do they need to have thrilling winning against Los Colchoneros? Inter Milan are home and we already know what that means, don't we? Champions league night and am caught in between watching some kinda not so entertaining games in CL versus watching Manchester City still trying to break down Brentford and it's a boredraw going on at the moment..

But coming back to Champions league football, was watching the PSV- Dortmund game which looks evenly matched, though bookies favourite should have got a goal but they are too playful busy looking for yellow cards but I believe they will come back stronger in the second half.

Both teams played a very controlled game in the first half hour. I wasn't surprised since both teams came to the forefront with their defensive plans, but I was bored watching the match. In the last 15 minutes of the first half, Barella joined Thuram and Lautaoro from time to time and the Inter offenses were enriched. They can win this game if they do this more in the second half.

Actually, the match was quite even between PSV and Dortmund. However, this time, Dortmund was able to take the opportunity to score a goal. Even though this is only 1 goal, this creates greater hope for Dortmund to be even superior. Of course, in this match, Dortmund are the favorites, but this is not guaranteed. Dortmund had to try to be even tighter in the second half so they could at least maintain that lead. PSV remains a club to watch out for if we look at their style of play so far in this match.

Okay, I will renew my hope for Dortmund. We’re talking about the Champions League here, not the local league, where Dortmund hasn’t been performing well at all. They’re not even in the top three in the league. In that regard, there’s been a decline in performance for Dortmund.

However, in the Champions League, they seem to be stronger somehow. Their last two matches, one with PSG which ended in a draw and the other with AC Milan which they won, are quite impressive compared to their performances outside the Champions League.

So, since this is the Champions League, I may say they are likely to win against PSV here. But if it were the local league, I can confidently say that losing this much, even though they already have one goal, is concerning. I don’t really know what’s wrong with the team or the club, but they need to do better, really.

And in the end PSV was able to match Dortmund's game. It's quite unfortunate here, once again Dortmund made mistakes that weren't really necessary. So far both teams have found it difficult to score goals because their defense is good, so the possibility of a draw seems to be increasing.

The tension in this match is so high that it is still very difficult to get one of the two teams to score. Good defense is the advantage of both teams, but Inter tends to have a higher chance of winning. Let's wait and see whether Inter can really take advantage of their home advantage or whether Atletico Madrid will win this match.

The reason why PSV is considered by bookmakers as favorites was because they are a good team while playing at home, and Dortmund is not in good form and it can still happen since PSV has leveled the score line.

Yeah you are right, PSV Eindhoven has equated the score to 1-1 through a penalty and PSV Eindhoven is still on attacking, if the score does not change until it ends then this is an advantage for Dortmund of course in the 2nd leg match therefore PSV Eindhoven also tried to win this match. In the 70th minute it seems that Dortmund implemented a defensive strategy by replacing several players they want to lock this score until the last minutes.

In another match Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid entered the 70th minute without a goal but it seems that Inter Milan did not want to lose this opportunity and they continued to storm at least 12 shot efforts were made unfortunately the accuracy is bad. Although the match left a few minutes but Atletico Madrid was not safe, we know that Inter Milan can change the score at any time because they have great players.

Inter Milan game in this match was quite good but Atletico madrid had a strong defense so that many of Inter milan attacks did not result in goals in the first half. In the second half Inter milan also still dominated possession of the ball and they continued to pressure Atletico madrid to score goals. These two team have quite strong quality player, but in the first leg of the match, Inter milan was the host, of course Atletico madrid played quite carefully in this match because Inter milan was able to control the flow of the match from the first half.

Thuram has made 2 shots so far. I hope he can make a big contribution to scoring goal in the remaining minutes of the second half. I was impressed with his performance in this match, but yes, Thuram was guarded quite tightly by the Atletico madrid players so it was very difficult for him to find a gap to score. Martinez was the same, he performed well from the first half but unfortunately he failed to convert several opportunities into goals.

Although in these matches we cannot guarantee any team winning because both sides are going to be consistent to win the game, I think Inter Milan is the favorite in these games. Even though I believe what you said that Athletico Madrid makes surprises against big teams, I think in these games Inter Milan is going to win because another thing that will make Inter Milan stronger is that they are going to play at home. At this point, I will say they are stronger than Athletico Madrid and are still going to play at home, so I believe Athletico Madrid are going to find it difficult to win the game.

There's no need to see whether Atletico Madrid is in good shape or not, but so far they have always given surprises when playing against strong and great clubs. For example, against Madrid, sometimes they make things difficult, that's why Inter Milan still have to be aware of that and be careful when playing. Simone Inzaghi must use a special strategy to face Simeone's men today, it is likely that this match will show their best game. I definitely won't miss this match to watch because I bet on Inter Milan.
