381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Your Country Who Gamble More? Young Ones or Elderly Ones on: June 09, 2024, 07:11:44 PM
Personally I think people won't actually be able to accurately tell the majority of gamblers in their region based on age group more like older or younger gamblers. My reason for saying this is because most of the time people easily tend to Carry out their conclusion based on their present circle or the majority of people around them or even based on what the notice most of the time. For this reason if a person who knows a great deal of young gamblers is asked what age class of people gambles the most he will most likely say younger gamblers since it's what he perceives more often.
Likewise if a gambler who knows a lot of old gamblers and also little or no young gamblers is asked a similar question he would also say older people Gamble more.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling increases computer education. on: June 09, 2024, 07:04:35 PM
I am sure many of them wouldn't have learned anything about the computer if not for online gambling. What are your thoughts?
I do not think you are correct about this. There was a time you will not see computer in the bank and other places. But today you can see computer in basic schools. Computers and phones that perform the functions of computer are common these days. The reason more people use computers today more is because of how computers are now common in the society and not because of gambling.
We are in a dynamic era and hence computers and digital devices are becoming soo important and useful overtime to the extent that they are actually transiting from the stage of secondary or tertiary needs to primary needs. The fact is people have to adapt. Online gambling has a vast majority of audience ranging from younger to older people with a greater percentage of their users being younger gamblers.
Personally I am of the opinion that online gambling didn't come to wipe off or replace regular traditional casino Gambling but rather it came as a more convenient alternative for gamblers. The fact is even with the present level of computer adoption, some gamblers still prefer offline gambling.

384  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does addicted gamblers only lose money all the time on: June 08, 2024, 08:57:38 PM
People who gamble excessively become experienced at gambling. As gamblers become more experienced, they are more likely to win than lose at gambling. A gambler may win a lot of money by gambling but cannot keep it. Because gamblers become addicted to gambling, they  Gives loss. And those who understand that now they cannot win by gambling, then they cash out the money and stop gambling. And those who spend more time gambling without stopping gambling are the ones who suffer losses.
People who gamble excessively are necessary not responsible gamblers. Your level of responsibility as a gambler actually depends on other Gambling habits and in fact gambling too frequently is not even a proper habit. Experienced gamblers are usually those that take time to study and understand not only the gambling activities the indulge in but also their level of dependence and seriousness in gambling activities.
Personally I believe that people tag gambling addicts as addicts mainly because they lose more too often than they make wins making their gambling none profitable. Gambling addicts most of the time are unable to control their spendings and even time they put into gambling activities.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fixed matches group in 3rd world countries on: June 08, 2024, 04:31:05 PM
Of course we often comment that gambling is based on luck. However the undeniable fact is that as from that it doesn't fully depend on luck. Winning and losing are things that benefits either the gambler in question or the casino. A casino will eventually shut down if their customers are winning more than they can fund , and like wise they will also shutdown sooner if no one is able to hit their wins. Therefore both have to be balanced evenly to avoid either the gamblers or the casino running into consecutive losses.

Many a time I have come across discussions where people are of the opinion that some huge casinos partner with teams before games to be able to predict a majority of the most important aspects of the game thus putting them on a safer side.  I am however not sure how true it is but I think if possible it would be more common in friendly games than more serious games and matches.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Religious leader barred from casinos because of big wins. on: June 08, 2024, 07:27:35 AM
If you observe closely you would notice that a lot of religions are against gambling activities and for a religious leader to go against the religious beliefs and rules means he's probably not fit enough to be the religious leader he claims to be. The fact is if you should view gambling from a lot of religious beliefs you would classify it as a wrong act. for the fact that mentioning a particular region may seem awkward, make it even ok to say that a majority of the most popular religions in the world are actually against gambling activities most of them because of its result on people who are unable to manage it and eventually turn out to be addicts.
387  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: June 08, 2024, 07:17:56 AM
Well, sometimes I don’t really feel excited why gambling but I just proceeded because I don’t have a choice. I just want to make money and follow the strategies already have but if you notice the losses you have in cure and gambling, you may be sad and it will result you to do the wrong thing but if you let it go and try to be happy, it will be perfect, it’s my state terms are to be a lost game but try not to be sad because I don’t feel like sadness can support you doing anything in gambling
Being over excited to gamble is actually different from being happy or excited to gamble. Being over excited can also make a gambler lose as he may out of anxiety stake improperly or make a couple mistakes when placing the bet that would affect his chances of winning. Although it can be quite difficult, it is important for a gambler to be in a neutral state of mind when carrying out gambling activities. Also being quiet happy is common especially when the gambler makes a lot of wins or even mostly when he eventually hits an all-time high( jackpot).

It is possible for a gambler to be quite sad when placing a bet and it is normal especially when they lose a lot of games. In such a situation the gambler has to careful to avoid staking with the anger of losing further on.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hello on: June 07, 2024, 08:47:40 AM

Hi everyone,
I am curious to know if there any possibility for any other crypto coin to replicate the feat of Bitcoin or even surpass it in the near future.
Op if you are speaking from the perspective of price and network decentralization with emphasis on price, I believe the chances of an altcoin surpassing Bitcoin is near zero. Bitcoin has been a long for a very long time now and aside from that I believe it's also safe to say it has gained a great deal of trust from a lot of crypto investors especially because of its ability to battle inflation and also because of the fact that it is decentralized and therefore the government can't control it.

Majority of altcoins and shit coins as well as meme coins out there are all pump and dump schemes. They are used by their creators to target people who aren't able to understand the dynamic nature of such market. This is the more reason why they have a high price during the pump period to draw people and almost lose value when they enter the dump period.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are any of you guys are winning with probably fair games? on: June 07, 2024, 08:15:36 AM
I'm currently searching for probably fair games and how they work. Are you guys playing this? If so, which games do you recommend?

Probably fair games, do they depend solely and exclusively on luck or on skills too?
Provably fair games as the name suggest are games that should be fair. There are couple of provably fair games out there and it would be best if you picked out one yourself by trying out a couple of them and finding out the one you understand the most and likely stick to it depending on your preference.
Personally I believe all gambling games are luck dependent and the only difference between the different gambling activities is the level to which luck contributes to be able to achieve a win. Sone gambling activities are more of analysis and calculations Which can also contribute to the gamblers level of experience over time.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 07, 2024, 08:05:06 AM
The undeniable fact is that it is possible however it is a very poor practice which often drives some gamblers into addiction. Every one tires as much as possible to take their source of income very seriously in order to maximize their earnings or income. Similarly, taking gambling as a source of income will compel such person to spend more time and effort into Gambling activities just to be able to make more money. Most of the time they Begin to play with greed as well as other  unhealthy practices which all contribute to gambling addiction.

Everyone usually says gambling is a fun activity and trying as much as possible to put that boundary makes it more difficult to become a gambling addict.
391  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling is a fatal mistake on: June 07, 2024, 07:58:14 AM
Let me start by spotting out the fact that everyone including gamblers are responsible for their mistakes or situation. Gambling addiction as well as many other addictions are nasty and the fact is , it is touching to have a loved one affected by it. A lot of family members and loved ones try as much as they can to assist their family members in gambling addiction so they can do away with it. However most of the time it is easier to assist an addict when they actually wish to ditch that addiction otherwise all efforts may be in vain.

The most common reason why a lot of addicts drift into gambling addiction is because of their inability to manage losses and the time they put into gambling activities.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convert 12 word secret phrase to private key? on: June 07, 2024, 07:42:52 AM
Other members of the forum have made different suggestions and to a newbie some of them may seem a little bit difficult. Now I suggest you get an open source wallet like Electrum and access your wallet via the electrum software. You should be able to find your private key with a few toggles. If it is an HD wallet you will find both your master private key which was generated directly from your seed phrase and also your child keys which were generated with your master key.

Make sure to do All these under a safe and secure network connection. Also make sure that neither your keys or seed is exposed as they are direct access to your wallet .
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why 6 comfirmation? on: June 06, 2024, 11:19:10 PM
Just like hosseinimr93 mentioned, as the number of confirmations of a particular transaction increases, the probability of having that particular transaction dropped from the block chain gets thinner and thinner. The reason is because the Bitcoin block chain is more like data including transactions, POW etc being stacked with a particular chain pattern from the genesis block at the base or foundation level to the latest block at the peak or top level.

As newer transactions are confirmed and new blocks are added to the block chain it becomes more and more difficult to alter older blocks since the most recent ones have to also be altered consecutively to be able to alter an older block. 6 confirmations puts a transaction on a safer side.
394  Other / Meta / Re: Brand new / Newbie accounts shouldn't be allowed to post links early on on: June 06, 2024, 11:07:41 PM
No more newbie jail so if you see something bad from newbie posters, report it.

Read theymos' vision on newbies. They are welcome here and there are spaces for them to enjoy. They can be given time and chance to correct mistakes but if they don't change, ban hammer will drop on their accounts.

I agree a hundred percent with dzungmobile why the heck should newbies be restricted from posting links? The forum is an open and free space and if you feel worried about some newbies that spam with links why don't you take the personal duty of reporting them?
Infact if there were no spam posts to be nuked, of low quality posts to be deleted of what importance will the moderators be? . As far as I am concerned as well as there are newbies that spam and scam so there are also those genuinely here to learn and also express themselves via discussions.
Newbies have been restricted from posting images, using avatars and signature and I believe it's quite ok.
395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is Interesting on: June 06, 2024, 10:59:23 PM
Personally I think people that have issues with crypto related stuff are likely having a hard time understanding how they work. Similarly people who view Bitcoin as a scam or get rich quick scheme are those that are reluctant to getting valid information from reliable sources like Bitcointalk about it.

Although you really don't have to invest a lot in Bitcoin to be regarded as an investor the truth is Bitcoin investments are more profitable for those that invest more and most especially for a longer term. Another thing I think some people fail to understand us the fact that Crypto currency is more like the future of digital banking, and Bitcoin being  the Og of the crypto space makes it one of the safest crypto investments.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin security risk? How many miners make up 51% of the hashrate? on: June 06, 2024, 10:43:28 PM
The 51% rule on the bitcoin network is like a protocol that suggests that if a miner or mining pool is able to attain 51% of the total Bitcoin network's hash rate they will have an edge over the whole network and can dominate blocks more significantly by being able to do certain things like alter more recent blocks and some other stuff.

The fact is that the chances of some miner or mining pool pulling a 51% attack is very thin. This is because aside from the fact that attaining such amount of hash power would not be easy, I believe no pool will be soo foolish to waste such huge amount of hash rate to harm a network that they can benefit heavily from with that same hash rate. Every miner is out for profit and pulling such an attack that might even be neutralized would be uneconomical.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Quiz] Answer the Bitcoin question and earn merits! #4 on: June 06, 2024, 10:11:12 PM

[Edit]
Initially radioed wrongly I'll be settling with this

My solving is very simple .
The Bitcoin network tries to balance the networks mining difficulty by increasing or reducing it depending on how fast the previous block was solved. Now the network protocol tries to make sure that the average time for solving a block doesn't exceed 10 mins but rather is within 10 mins.
Therefore to calculate the mining difficulty of the present Epoch C we have to first find the mining difficulty of Epoch A and Epoch B keeping in mind that the ratio for Epoch A is the standard value (20160 for 10 minutes).

After solving for Epoch B difficulty I then used it to find that of Epoch C by rationing their average time of Epoch B and Epoch C and multiplying with the difficult of B.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin gradually turning away from its purpose? on: June 05, 2024, 10:56:23 PM
Personally op I don't agree fully with that. I believe the reason why it seems like Bitcoin is gradually drifting away from the plans which Satoshi NAKAMOTO initially had is because of the debate about Bitcoin being a P2P currency or a valuable form of investment. The fact is that from the initial intension of Satoshi, Bitcoin was meant to be an easy form of electronic peer to peer cash system without a third party involved.
The fact that Bitcoin price is increasing doesn't mean that it isn't a suitable P2P currency. However the difference is that it is a better currency for larger volumes of transaction in cash.

Although Satoshi's original dream was a simple P2P transaction system, we can arguably say that the result of Bitcoin gaining adoption and value was actually quite inevitable given special factors like decentralization, POW and even halving.
399  Other / Meta / Re: Non-Profit Forum Signatures Initiative on: June 05, 2024, 10:45:17 PM
Nice suggestion @pawel777. I believe there are a couple of nice projects like this on the forum how ever it can be difficult to differentiate them from paid ones on the service board.  I agree with your suggestion Op however there are a couple of things you have to consider. Firstly I would say this thread should be updated with all available free signature campaigns and also you the Op should be quite active so that you can update the thread from time to time with newer ones.

Secondly I am not really sure if another thread like this already exists, and also , alternatively a thread carrying all the free signature campaigns can be created also in the service board and probably also pinned if the moderator sees it fit.
400  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Adding a seed phrase to your wallet on Electrum? on: June 05, 2024, 10:35:04 PM
Op every Bitcoin address has it's own special seed phrase.
This is not true.
Each bitcoin address can be generated by a very big number of different seed phrases.
I have made the necessary correction. The big number which you are referring to is actually the public key which is used to generate the respective addresses in that particular wallet. I mis typed address instead of wallet in that particular statement. Funny how choice of words can be that important in cases like this "LOL".

I think your further explanation of this thread actually counters your own point in the first sentence, every address doesn’t have a specific seed phrase rather a single seed phrase can be used to generate multiple child private keys as you stated which in turn can be used to generated different bitcoin addresses. With a single bitcoin seed phrase you can even have addresses of different formats just by creating new wallets and specifying the derivation path you wish to have it. This is what I think OP is trying to do maybe get a bech32 address from his existing private key or seed phrase which he will just simply change in the options when creating a new wallet with same seed phrase
Thanks for the heads up EL MOHA. I actually miss typed wallet in place of address. Like I was trying to express earlier, a seed phrase is for a single wallet and in the case of the wallet being an HD wallet, there could be multiple addresses having their individual private keys which were generated from the master private key which was in turn generated via the seed phrase.
