I suppose the contract never states when the insurance money has to be paid out. The issuers can just sit around and buy back bonds at less than their face value from investors wanting to get out.
What a joke.
Here, I'll quote the relevant post for you: Update. The depositors will return the backings on the 9th of September and the 28th of September respectively after these two payment all of the GIPPT shares will have been paid back 1 BTC. How much we will receive during each payback I do not know yet. //DeaDTerra

Mods, please delete this post if this isn't allowed. Thanks Looks like the filter answered that question for you Yes, it did. Sorry for posting. I recall having read that link on these forums previously, so I figured it would be fine, but I guess I was wrong. Again, I apologize

I can reach their login page just fine. I don't have an account though, so I can't check whether it's possible to log in. The site is quite slow, however. Not sure if that's normal behavior.

Oh wait, I think I've misread something. Have all Yarr shares been bought back with a forced buyback (@1.0 each)? If so, please disregard my previous post I still hold all mine shares. If you sold yours, that's late now Ah damnit. Usagi, is it possible for me to get my 8 shares back for 1.0 each? I put them all up for sale at 1.0 each, because you told us to do so, because you were winding down business, but that was before you told us your new plans you have with Yarr. I already paid my insurance premium by buying Yarr at 1.40ish each, and I'd hate having to pay yet another premium to get my shares back, which I previously thought were going to be worthless in the not-so-distant future anyways. Thank you very much in advance You had a VIP YARR subscription, so I don't see the problem with that. Please send 8 bitcoins to your subscription address and I will send Mushoz 8 shares of YARR Ah, that sounds very very good Thanks for the offer! Does that also mean I can send more BTC if I would like more shares? Can't say I would mind having a chance to pick up some more, although I understand if it's only for those 8 shares. Thank you very much again! Pleasure doing business

Argh! I want in on the new deal, but I had all my shares standing as a sell order @ 1.0. Now they are gone I would have kept them if I knew Yarr was going to continue... Is there any way I can get my shares back at 1.0? :p It was only 8 shares, but still, love the way where this is heading If the shareholder vote passes, then I will wait until Nefario and/or CHM can approve the new contract, and then we will immediately begin operating under the new deal. Sorry, I think my post wasn't as clear as it could have been. What I mean is: If I knew Yarr was going to continue, I would have kept my shares instead of selling them for 1.0 each, because I would like to be part of the new deal, but now I'll have to rebuy my Yarr shares for more than 1.0 probably Or was there a forced buyback? Because I'm not seeing any ask orders currently. Thanks

Go with a Crucial M4 or Samsung 830. They are currently the best SSDs for their prices. They perform really well, are reliable, and don't take performance hits on non-compressible data.

Hello Patrick,
Have you considered adding Vescudero to the list? From his thread:
I already sent him my credit data and even got my postal address verified through senbonzakura that also vouch for me before Patrick. Nevertheless this was several weeks ago and as I said, I have not received any answer from Patrick since then.
Yes he did send data some time ago, and over the past day have updated for a couple of additional items - he is now listed in the OP. What about Ciuciu? Did he submit his credit data?

This means I have set up the service so lenders are not at risk. I will make 3% interest payments for as long as possible. If for some reason I see in the future that I can not take any additional deposits because of risk then I will not, meaning I will not take what I can not handle. I have shared with PatrickHarnett (for Credit Rating) my BTC Reserve and BTC Monthly Income to back the deposit system.
PatrickHarnett suggested that to have a meaningful CR you would need 100 BTC or more in deposits. You seems to have more than double that at this point and have been operating for a while. Have you done anything further or have intentions to seek and receive a CR in the WPW thread? I would be interested in making a deposit but only with a favorable CR from PatrickHarnett. RustyRyan, could you please comment on this post? Thanks!

We're sorry again for the issues, withdrawals should really work now. As little bonus for your waiting time, we increased the rates of the savings by 1%.
If there are any errors left, please let us know.
Regards Simon
Damnit, withdrawals weren't working, so I decided to reinvest most of the BTC instead. Now withdrawals are working again _and_ the rates got increased Oh well

It is currently recommend to use an address for a single use. There is no need to re-use addresses but many users do.
I mainly re-use addresses because I know my backup wallets only have 100 keys in them, and if I use too many addresses it makes it necessary to do backups too frequently. I hope the qubitcoiners of the future send us a message on any modifications required to the bitcoin protocol via this technique. We just have to start listening to any entangled particles we coming across really carefully.
Dips on the day shift! You can increase the pool of 100 addresses to much larger numbers.

Over our entire collection interval, the daily volume of sales approaches 11,650 BTC/day. By means of comparison, the average daily volume of exchanges for US dollars on the largest Bitcoin exchange, Mt.Gox [4] is approximately 59,980 BTC/day
Very interesting quote in my opinion. A buyer on SR needs to buy BTC, while the seller on SR needs to sell it if he wants fiat. So every BTC traded on SR is traded twice on Mtgox. That means 11,5k daily SR volume can lead to 23k daily Mtgox volume. That's close to _half_ of Mtgox volume!! Now not every seller will want to sell his BTC, but it's an interesting quote nevertheless. Edit: Okay, maybe not close to half. But significant still. This does dismiss other exchanges though. How big of a market-share does Mtgox currently have? 60% I believe?
