381  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinvisitor Unable to Pay on: April 10, 2013, 04:40:48 PM
Hey,

I did ask you personally about delayed payments and you were the one who told me all about the problems in the chat. If that was not you then your Mods are using your name and engaging in chat and answering questions. It is either time to address that or search your memory banks. If you still want to claim that you did not verify any info about payment problems or anything else I listed then everyone here should know that you are not being honest.

I received information that Coinvisitor could not pay their users all at once if they were to cash out. Upon signing up for chat I found (immediately) 4 users in the chat asking when they should expect to be paid from their chat earnings that they had requested. Knowing they were new users and concerned:

I told them to be patient and it would be in 24 hours

I told them that because the site was growing so fast and because your were switching servers that even if it had gone past the 24 hour mark it shouldnt go much further past that.

I told them that I had been paid from my earnings on page views and chat earnings would be no different.

I went into this thinking, and almost 100% confident, that the info that was relayed to me was wrong, inaccurate. After all, I had been paid recently. But the claim DID include the ability to pay on ALL earnings. This would include earnings from the chats.

I made a request for payment for chat earnings

& stuck around for a couple more days

Each day, throughout the day, every time I looked at the Coinvisitor chat it would only take a few minutes before I saw another person emerge with the same concerns. I was hoping that I would have a blockchain link to show them my own payment from chat earnings soon.

But 24 hours come and goes

48 hours comes and goes

The person who  originally made the claim to me said "If you took the amount that they owe and compared it to what they have on hand they are short"

Now I am reminded of what you (Kev) told me in chat of placing an order with MtGox and not having it fulfilled yet and having them jerk you around. I told you that I would never use MtGox again because of the way they jerked me around, hedged the price changes on the timing of filling my order so they could send me less, etc.

But even then I said to the person who seemed to have a hard on for attacking Coin Visitor that that was proof that you were involved in legitimate business practice. You were attempting to obtain BTC funds. In my mind, this meant if you were short BTC at least you were attempting to correct it.

48 hours comes and goes. No payment from chat. It was such a ridiculously low amount that it was odd that it still remained as pending.

But now here is the kicker, and proof that you are either dishonest, non-caring, or both...

In your frustration with Mt Gox and people asking in chat when they were going to get paid, you or your Mod said [sic] that if it was not fixed soon that you would start making payments from your personal wallet.

Well, well

1) Admission that you did not have the funds to pay your viewers

2) Admission that you could cover at least some of the requests from your personal money (but werent because people were waiting)

So before you dare respond and tell me that I should consider the implications of making a posting like I did, YOU need to get honest. I received a claim that said you couldnt pay. You proved it through your own actions and what was said by you and your Mods in your own chat! The worst part is that there were people new to BTC flocking to your site because of praise from people like myself. Even when people were getting concerned I was still there telling them that you were the good guys and you definitely had the money to pay. I tried to make sure that they wouldnt worry and think their time was wasted.

In the end everyone here learns that I was too optimistic in the beginning, probably shouldnt have stuck up for you or your practices, because you eventually admitted that you couldnt pay and couldnt be bothered covering the costs from your personal account. THAT shows just how much of your efforts are geared towards fulfilling the customers' best interests.

If what I have said is inaccurate then publish the chats

If what I have said is inaccurate then publish screen caps of what was owed at the time of my first post right next to your company wallet balance

If what I have said is inaccurate then why didnt you cover the payments owed from your personal wallets?

Sincerely

Douglas M Stewart

382  Economy / Scam Accusations / Coinvisitor Unable to Pay on: April 10, 2013, 03:07:28 AM
It has come to my attention that Coinvisitor has been having trouble fulfilling payment requests. After people spending more time on that site than most of the other "Paid to" BTC sites the Admins there are aware that they will not be able to make good on all of the payments they owe to their users.

Much like we saw Bitcoinfaucet.at take the money and run (which was not intentional either) we may see Coin Visitor go the same way. The frustration began withtheir switching over to new servers. Then, thinking it was going to be smooth sailing, orders for coins were placed from MtGox and never fulfilled in time. In addition the site was not able to handle the traffic on the 'Pay per view" side of the site but they assured their visitors that it would be fixed and they would not lose their balances. And they wont technically lose their balances. The balances will still be there under their address. But we will see if they will ever be able to make good on what is owed. If just half of the users decided to cash out it would most likely run them completely dry.

I was doubtful and decided to test this after receiving this info from someone who is familiar with the inner workings of the site. After all, I had used the "pay per view" side of the site AND had been paid before. So I hopped into the "paid to chat" side of the site, accumulated .00015 btc and requested a payout. Sure enough, 24 hours went by...no payment. 48 hours went by...no payment.

It was starting to look like the info that was given to me a little while back was in fact turning out to be true.

So now what?

I dont know. But if the mods know right now that they do not have the funds to pay their users then it is unethical for them to continue to gain customers that are viewing ads with the expectation of being paid, then they should make an announcement and close the site until they can live up to their promise.

(PS - The short temper of the mods and irrational quick fire banning is characteristic of site management with the intention of not paying people knowing they are in trouble. Their frustration is already at maximum level and they seem to already be practicing just how to ignore people)

In the end I hope everything I was told was wrong. But I dont think it is. It can easily be tested. Everyone cash out. We'll see right away if they can make any payments. I am willing to bet they can not. And if this post causes them to scrounge together $$ to buy BTC just to cover themselves in anticipation of this event, then the very act of exposing them would cause them to do the right thing. Then, and only then, can their users come out on top.

Good luck all

Sincerely

Douglas Stewart
383  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: April 09, 2013, 09:00:37 PM
So, When I go to my Instawallet URL it no longer gives me an update on the claims process. Only an error.

I see nothing on Paymium site regarding Instawallet claims

Where are we supposed to go to do this?

PS - Im really kind of pissed that I have to most likely wait 90 days to get these coins. That wallet was only used for donations that were supposed to be cashed out (by being sent to a another site/online wallet) and sold, and then having the USD sent to charities. But I guess it is serendipitous that it happened right before we were about to go all out and start accepting a lot of donations, because we wouldve lost a lot more.
384  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are Coinabul still operating? on: April 09, 2013, 08:50:13 PM
yeah just a warning I never got my 2 bars of silver from coinabul some 6 months ago, or a refund on my 8btc paid... why ?? because the guy never paid customs and apparently the bars were returned to sender, but coinabul never repaid me the BTC or declared they recieved the bars back... a trusted friend of mine then told me to watch out for coinabul as the guy running it is a sly piece of work and skimps on anything and he was not surprised by my situation...

btw it took like 2 months for the guy to even send the bars in the first place.... if he ever did...

Does anyone have a physical location for where they are doing business from? I just ordered from them ( a small test order to see if they are legit) and they have not responded to my emails yet.

I really shouldve searched the forums first but the site looked legit and I had never heard anyone complaining about them. I talk to people in chats constantly and we always talk about what sites are no good or rip-offs. This site never came up as being bad.

Now Im starting to get worried. Especially since I lost a little over 1 btc on Instawallet recently I really dont want to lose anymore.
385  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 90btc on: April 09, 2013, 08:46:47 PM
Crap! I really shouldof searched the forums before sending coins to Coinabul. Luckily I only ordered 1 Silver American Eagle for a test order. They have not yet responded to me or sent me confirmation of my payment being received.

I just figured since I always saw them advertised all over bitcoin sites, and never heard anyone complaining about them, that they were an ok business.

I emailed them again and no response. So there was an initial email after I made the payment just to confirm they were on the lookout for the order. Then another follow up one the next day asking if they sent an email with tracking info when it shipped.

So far no response.

Is there any other sites that are legit, that people are happy with, that are selling bullion for Bitcoin? Ive seen Amagi Metals pop up recently.
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin part of the elite, the illuminati, new world order? on: April 06, 2013, 12:15:17 AM
this is rubbish and your claims are unfounded.  welcome to the internet.  you're free to spout whatever crap you want, everyone else is free to call you an idiot.

+1
and another +1 for good measure
387  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinvisitor Hacked or Seized? on: March 10, 2013, 08:37:50 PM
Yeah it was working today and then after a little while the site transferred me to the trololol site

I hope this isnt the owner doing this because this is starting to become a pain in the ass. It was funny yesterday but I am going to stop visiting the site if this is going to continue
388  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Be careful using Blockchain as your wallet... on: March 10, 2013, 02:39:47 AM
I've been using Blockchain for a couple of months now. I've sent/received bitcoin on many occassions with no problems. All of sudden today I an unable to log in with my password. I am aware that Blockchain does not store your password locally so I wrote my password down on paper and put it in my safe. It is the same password I use on several of my banking sites, so I know the password well. For some reason I'm unable to log into my Blockchain account and there is no way they are able to help me!! I have this funny little feeling that they maybe have something to do with this. Since I'm unable to get to my money now and that account will just go stale I'm pretty sure that Blockchain will get that money eventually. Maybe they do this on purpose for random accounts? I'm %100 sure that I know my password. It is a little ironic that they don't store your password on their server and can't help me. Strange. So, if you have a lot of money tied up on Blockchain I would send it to your local wallet instead. I'm finding out that the best place to keep your bitcoin is your local wallet and NONE of these online places.

They dont store the password for security purposes. This means that anyone that infiltrates their DB's can get all the identifiers they want but wont be able to do a damn thing with them other than look at them and wish they had a password
389  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Something very wrong with blockchain.info on: March 10, 2013, 02:37:42 AM
It adhoc accepts my password then does not

this is a copy and pasted pass word from a file

also cut and paste identifier

so no typing errors

wow!

what is happening

it seemed to occur more after i used google authenticator.

Clear your Cache!! This happened to me before. Clearing the cache resolved it. And I also cut and pasted both fields from a text file.

PS-What OS and browser are you using?
390  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinvisitor Hacked or Seized? on: March 10, 2013, 02:35:43 AM
That domain is a google DNS. Verifiable through network-tools.com or a quick nmap

Could be a PR stunt. The site was growing rapidly and maybe this was a big push along with the current growth.

OR...

It very well couldve been hacked/defaced and the redirect to the site with this image is just the final result/proof.

We wont know until the owner makes an announcement. Im just glad I cashed out recently. I think I only had 0.0002800 btc as of last night when it was still working fine.
391  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinvisitor Hacked or Seized? on: March 09, 2013, 07:13:44 PM
So I hop onto Coinvisitor.com and a png image appears on the front page that suggests the site has been seized by federal authorities. But It must be a joke because there is no way that Homeland Security would say "Censorship is Security" proceeded with sayings from Orwell's 1984. Im hoping the site is just under maintenance and the owners thought this was funny to put up temporarily in the meantime. See below for link to screencap

392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] FIRST Feature-length Documentary on Bitcoin, 100% BITCOIN FUNDED! on: March 09, 2013, 01:16:09 AM
Monster Tent has the best idea in making multiple short parts. This way it can stay current and also at a later time can be watched together to show the whole larger picture. And if one section is slightly outdated by the end it wont matter because it will be understood by the viewer.

Also, releasing shorter parts will allow faster completion of each part ensuring faster market availability to the consumer. If Bitcoin was not changing so rapidly I would say "just make a single, standard, long documentary".

Has anyone noticed that Coinad wont open?  Shocked Does anyone know what is going on? This is the first time I have seen a problem with that site. Also, I wasnt sure where to put this post so mods feel free to move it.

394  Other / Off-topic / Re: [POLL] Should BFL get a Scammer tag? on: February 27, 2013, 05:31:04 PM
What the hell is BFL? I keep seeing it mentioned around the forums
395  Other / Off-topic / Mini-Pc (Android) Anyone have any experience with these? WTB soon on: February 27, 2013, 05:25:56 PM
Ok folks, I want a mini pc. I was thinking about getting a Raspberry Pi but I am caught between that and an Android mini-pc. They are really cheap enough that I can get both but I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had any experience with with one or both and what your impressions of them are.

Most likely I am going to wind up hooking it up to my tv and purchasing one of those small mini keyboards (w/trackpad) as a remote. I basically want to have a computer hooked up to my tv that has the functionality of a regular computer

396  Economy / Marketplace / (UPDATE) Re: BitcoinGet Newest Pay per View Video site (High Paying) on: February 23, 2013, 09:10:43 PM
UPDATE

Seems bitcoinget.com is having technical issues. About half of the videos that I watch, and then enter the capcha, give me a message that they are unable to verify that I watched the video and will not credit me. At first this only happened every once in a while. But now, it is 50% of the time and sometimes higher.

Over the past couple hours I have tried to watch 12 different vids; I was only credited for 4.

Something is very wrong and you may not want to waste your time with this site.

Thanks

I have no idea how the site works, what I am betting on, how to win, etc. Am I the only one just looking at this site and saying "Ummmm"?

Good luck with it. I wish I was able to test Android for you because I would love to help out. But unfortunately I cannot
