Working fine for me Working fine for me as well. Followed the instructions in the OP and was good to go. So 2 or 3 people can sync and no one else. Real fucking fair launch huh. Post your nodes since hardcoded ones dont work. The same happened on all other coins of this type. The network isn't getting raped so settle down. There's no instamine. I've got 2 x R9 280x and I haven't gotten that much. |

as we prepare for launch tomorrow, i just want to take a few minutes and thank everyone thats helped us get to this point so far. when we release the main net package tomorrow before launch, new wallet addresses will be generated, thus im going to need those with incoming testnet bounties to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write me as soon as you are set up with your new SOIL wallet address. i want to be able to ensure that those bounties are paid out as quickly as possible, and be able to update the public ledger for the community reserve with those debits. ill be contacting everyone personally tomorrow after launch if i dont hear from them and get their updated wallet address, just to remind them. if i miss you, somehow... tomorrow WILL be a crazy busy day... please dont hesitate to let me know and ill get right on it.
we've also been working with the admin from c-cex and should have SOIL up on the exchange tomorrow within a few hours of launch, so therell be at LEAST one confirmed exchange for you to trade your testnet bounties on. we will also have our basic block explorer ready tomorrow as well, and ill post that link for everyone as soon as we launch.
id updated the information regarding the reserve on the genesis block on our website at soilcoin.xyz but since we've been busy as anything last few days preparing for the launch, much of that hasnt been updated on the OP. the community reserve will be referrenced in a public ledger that i will update here on bitcointalk twice a week (at least) and immediately upon any debit or credit on the website , under the "community" tab.
we are preparing a 800,000 SOIL community reserve. of that, a little over 160,000 SOIL will be paid out immediately to testnet contributors. this will help to bring volume and liquidity to the market for SOIL, bringing it into the hands of many people who are as of yet unaware of this project and the wonderful community supporting it. we have an official faucet prepared, and will be keeping that topped up from the community reserve when needed. the core development teams reserves is set at 200,000 SOIL which is nearly matched immediately upon launch by the testnet bounties. both myself and soil will have our wallet addresses publicly available on the website and you will be able to check our balances for veracity on our claims to be holding our reserves simply thru gsoil with the command:

we are very much dedicated to a transparent operation, and there will be nothing hidden. i will not release the names of the individual wallet holders for the testnet bounties on the community page... cryptocurrency is something that focuses on pseudo-anonymity and i respect that. the individual wallet holder will know their address and thats enough transparency regarding those debits from the community reserve. as for the development team, that anonymous protection is not needed. for the record, my name is abvhiael crowley, you can google me if youd like, im the only person on the planet with the name "abvhiael" (thanks mom..) and you can find me on facebook (abvhiael and-janet crowley) as well. just to put a public face to the name....
the vast bulk of the reserve will be set to bounties and further development, and thats where you, the community, will be desperately needed. we need ideas to what sorts of changes will be useful for the evolution of the system. we will move towards a one SOIL/one vote apparatus when we reach a proper threshold that ensures the distribution of SOIL has reached as many possible souls as possible. my target for this implementation is after we have minted 2million SOIL.
our first order of business after launch will be getting SOIL accepted as a mode of payment at merchants that conform to our target industry, and we've made some inroads towards that already, and will be concentrating the tech development after launch towards that goal. beyond that, it will be setting up DApps on the blockchain and making SOIL not only a currency but a stable and relevant network as well. these projects WILL take time. i envision a good year of ridiculously hard work to get this project halfway to where id like to see it go. i hope we will have each and every one of you along for the whole ride, and i hope that you make ridiculous amounts of money from mining and trading SOIL as well.

There's absolutely no reason anyone needs to mine this on a pool, it's just as easy to mine solo and is better for the network and decentralization.
I know this post won't affect most miners decisions, but at least take it into consideration. ANYONE with a single video card should be able to mine this solo and hit blocks regularly.

I've seen a lot of bot promises these days, especially from scam ICOs. I'm sure the cost will be unreasonable. But I'll watch and see what happens. Well, we've never had an ICO and we're not making any promises we can't already back up. We've had multiple users testing the site for a couple weeks now ironing out bugs and providing feedback for improvements. Maybe one will stop by and chime in. The cost will absolutely be reasonable. All "costs" will be in SNRG and sent to a verifiable burn address. When users log onto the site, they will be presented with an amount, in SNRG, that will be required to burn for each day of use. You can fund one hour of use, or you can fund a whole year of use. It's up to you. This will be updated regularly. Each user will also have a unique address where they will send SNRG in order to add time to their account. Once the SNRG is sent to your unique address it will be accounted for and then sent on to the final, verifiable burn address I mentioned above. It sounds really good but I need more details. How many coins do you need in your wallet? I don't want to spend several BTC to use it. I do like bots over spending hours on an exchange constantly changing orders... Will this affect my staking? I'm loving those 10 SNRG block rewards. Access to the sites functionality will not be controlled by your holdings in your wallet, so it will not affect your staking. We're going for adoption here and the cost to use the site will be minimal, nowhere even remotely close to a single BTC, let alone several. |
