381  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info: STOP DEFAULTING TO USD on: January 24, 2014, 11:55:31 PM

It seriously has no reason to default to USD. Let people who give a shit about some obscure worthless paper currency click the thing.
382  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitBet Stole ~$7,000 from me (10 BTC) on: January 24, 2014, 09:20:45 PM
(also, why are you in bitcoin if you think voting by completely unrelated, anonymous parties should matter)

Because he's a fuckwit that follows whatever happens to be on TV, and this week Bitcoin happened to be on his TV.
383  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitBet Stole ~$7,000 from me (10 BTC) on: January 24, 2014, 09:09:32 PM
75% out of almost 200 people voted the money should be returned.. Scam job wrote all over it, It's time to give negative rating to MPOE-PR

Go suck a donut, scammer.
384  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBet settles biggest bet in BTC history on: January 24, 2014, 08:09:03 PM
This company should be used with caution. They currently hold a D- rating and choose to scam selectively.

Sources: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=339544.300

You being retarded != scamming selectively, but as per your request I have added a neg rating on your name. Enjoy.
385  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info: STOP DEFAULTING TO USD on: January 24, 2014, 08:06:27 PM
If you want to be taken seriously, why do you swear so much?

You can want to be taken seriously all you want, you won't be. I am taken seriously whether I swear or not. That's the difference between us, and it is a matter of substance. Form ain't nothing to do with anything.
386  Economy / Gambling / BitBet settles biggest bet in BTC history on: January 24, 2014, 06:32:54 PM
Easily blowing all other bets well out of the water: Bitcoin difficulty at or above 2B before Feb 2014.

That's 1868 BTC and change paid out over 99 winners, out of 123 bets. Bitcoin's largest settled bet to date, and quite possibly the largest in all of prop betting.

This'd also be one of those cases where what initially looked like a longshot ended up a nail-biter. And one of those proofs that BTC's betting is decidedly happening on BitBet.

Congrats to the winners.
387  Economy / Service Discussion / Blockchain.info: STOP DEFAULTING TO USD on: January 24, 2014, 06:13:52 PM
Seriously, what is this shit? Why are bitcoin transactions being represented in USD BY DEFAULT?!

It's people who want to see USD amounts who should have to dick around with clicking buttons and whatnot. NOT people who are looking at BTC transactions to, you know...SEE BTC TRANSACTIONS.

Why make sane people click shit every single time they look at a tx? If USD is front and center why is the site supposedly about BTC?

Etcetera etfuckingcetera.

How many more times do you plan to spam the forums until then? Seriously already.

390  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Exchange on: January 23, 2014, 11:06:23 PM
good questions by you now OP thinking about this all and hope he will back with answers

Do you also hope to hear back from people who send you email spam? 'Cause I fail to see the difference, functionally.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Hearn, London 2014 [video presentation] on: January 23, 2014, 08:58:58 PM
Hearn is a run down government whore. Nobody cares what he has to say on any topic. No project associated with him will ever get anywhere.

End of story, really.
392  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Intersango - are they still legit? on: January 23, 2014, 08:48:10 PM
WOW! Thanks, bud, for the link, but WOW!

Indeed.

OP, inasmuch as your question is whether they're still legit, the query is nonsense. They never were, and there's a reason they were dubbed Interscamgro.
393  Economy / Securities / Re: High Frequency Trading with BitCoin on: January 23, 2014, 06:38:13 PM
It amazes me that this kind of thing works.  I would believe that any rational person would see gains of that magnitude in WEEKS and laugh their asses off knowing it is a falacy.  Perhaps in bitcoinland though people have gotten accustomed to huge gains and instead believe it?  IDK the human rationale is amazing sometimes.

More likely at work is the desire of most people to achieve without having to confront themselves, their problems, or the various cruelties of interacting with reality. Profit without having to understand? Success without having been an admitted idiot? Bitcoin or not, it's the ideal for the vain masses. The sense of novelty they find in Bitcoin may simply make for easier drug delivery.

Anyway, healthy reactions in here.
394  Other / Off-topic / Re: A hack to steal steal your Gmail password? on: January 21, 2014, 09:24:05 PM
Besides some potentially faulty features like auto fill-ins and such, what's your reasoning? And what solution do you suggest otherwise?

If it's in your head it's in your head. If it's stored by the password manager...well...then it's in there.

Dr. Michael Moriarty
The Moriarty Bitcoin Network

Bitcoin doesn't need yet another user-submitted pool of confusion and reputation farming branded as a review site. Wanting to help people who have or who may be fleeced is all well and good, but there are specific tools available for taking responsibility, figuring stuff out, and communicating this to others, the WoT principally among them.

Speaking of which, what is this Moriarty Bitcoin Network? Why are you appending it as though you were speaking with authority bestowed upon you by the mere fact of capitalization? That sort of thing won't fly here; you'll have to put in the work.
396  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Free $20 Moneypak to try our service on: January 21, 2014, 07:31:57 PM
Get in the WoT, back up your assertions with something other than newb accounts posting positive experiences.

Good prices, Top quality, Best customer support.

Bitcoin & litecoin are accepted as form of payment.

Failing to mention what service you're actually offering is a pretty lame attempt at the whole link bait thing. Prolly best to see here.
398  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Betsofbitco.in login not working anymore? [SCAM] on: January 19, 2014, 02:21:30 PM
How do you "put the work in" dude? Give us some tips on how to know whether to trust an online service.

Seriously? Did you read what you were commenting on?

Well then see here and stop feeding the scammers.

It's right there.
399  Economy / Securities / Re: Cryptostocks Turnaround on: January 18, 2014, 02:52:18 PM
Hilarious. And all 4 (yes, four) MPEx stocks are owned by…guess who? Go on…guess. Alright - Mircea Popescu!

So, you get to pay MPEx 50 BTC for the privilege of paying MP even more BTC.

What an honour!

But hey, at least they're producing a financial report each month. Not that the companies they back actually do anything or plan on doing anything. Except taking your money of course.

It might be best to learn how to read before you publish conclusions; it'll be less painful later on.
400  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitSimple. Looking for a dozen or so beta testers who want early access. on: January 18, 2014, 02:44:29 PM
Quote
About Us: North American Cryptographics
The operator of BitSimple is North American Cryptographics, a FinCEN registered MSB, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Tangible Cryptography Inc. BitSimple was created as an answer to the question, "isn't it about time someone made it simple to buy and sell bitcoins?".
https://bitsimple.com/Home/Contact

You know Tangible Cryptography right?    The company which has been around since 2012, never been hacked or "hacked", never lost a single satoshi of user funds, and paid back all debt on time.  That company?  I appreciate your cut and paste noob script but it is out of place here.   As for "who" is posting right now, it is Gerald Davis (D&T)   however this account is for BitSimple support so it probably won't always be posting on it in the future.  My goal in the near future is to expand hiring including dedicated customer support personnel.

I debated ignoring the post or responding and risking this turning into a rant/derail; I went with the later, I hope it wasn't bad decision.  If you have any specific questions about BitSimple I would be happy to answer them.  If not there should be a press release going out in the next couple days.

Every day with this. It isn't a noob script. It's a very gracious effort to help people who have shown they could use some help. Stop being offended by the notion that you are fallible. You are. Do you have another thread on these forums in which you've more adequately introduced yourself and your service? Because the correct move would be to link to that.

And no, an equally unsubstantiated blurb from the site's about page doesn't satisfy the criteria. WoT identity. Who are you, who knows you, where's your proof that you are who you say you are? You don't get to rest on what laurels Tangible Cryptography may have simply by throwing the name out there after you've tried and failed to properly introduce your service here, in the midst of taking it personally and being unable to comply with the most basic steps of bitcoin business.
