381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: September 30, 2017, 10:39:51 PM
The current NBA MVP Russel Westbrook has signed a new five year contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder in a deal totaling $205 million in all he is going to earn $235 million in the entirety of the contract, his contract extension has overshadowed his former teammate Kevin Durant's birthday which is today. I am sure this is no coincidence at all.

I think he deserves everything. This is the result of his last season's performance. He will carry this team once again but with the help of PG and Melo behind. Happy to see Westbrook got to this point of his career. He should thank Durant for that. If Durant didn't leave the team, then he can't performed the way he shows last year. And signing a big contract will surely inspired him to give another best this season. But he need to cap everything off with a nice ring around his finger. And it would be really good if it is against Durant and the Golden State Warriors. OKC-GSW for the West Finals.
They are a better team now with great addition and to see Westbrook playing again with his best will surely entertain us fans.
He get what he deserved for and with that big salary, I am sure he will be the most motivated man in the team, he can lead this team to step on the bigger stage and actually I have high hopes for the Thunder this season, I hope they can blend well and will compete with the Spurs or warriors.
Westbrook deserve this contract with that astonishing last season performance. Trade of Melo to Thunders is the greatest thing that could happened to him. I think that he and Westbrook will cooperate good. With PG they also have `big three`, only thing that they need now is good chemistry. I hope that they could play together on high, championship level. This could bring more excitement battle in West conference this season.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 30, 2017, 09:18:58 PM
What a match played by  Manchester City. A flawless and classy performance. They totally dominate Chelsea at Stamford Bridge wich is very hard to achieve. Guardiola did beat conte when it came to tactics. But to be honest, Alvaro Marata's injury affected Chelsea's performance.
Manchester city confirms their intention for this season as a number one continder for the Premier league trophy and a strong contender for Champions league.
The Manchester City fans would also give the excuse that had Aguero played the games, they would have won by an even larger margin in the game. Conte should have brought in Batshuayi when Morata walked out injured but it seems he didn't have a lot of faith in him.
Aguero had car accident in Amsterdam, he was in taxi and the driver lost control over the car. They hit into pole and Aguero broke his ribs. He went on the concert that his friend, Columbian singer Malume, had in Amsterdam. By some information he will return on the filed for two months.

What a match by PSG. They totally dominated Bayen Munich which is something only few teams can do it! I think tonight they presented themselves as a on of top three teams in europe now and propably the best. They sent a message that they are coming to get the champions league trophy with much confidence.

Great match by Kylian Mbape from PSG yesterday. He is doing everything on the field and he is only 18 YO.
Definitely he is the future of the world soccer.
Amazing match for the young player, all the credits for the second and third goal goes to him. I watched the game with my father and he was impressed with Mbape, talking all the time that he is the best player in the team. As you said amazing moves, football intelligence and calmness for someone that is 18 years old.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 27, 2017, 06:45:10 PM
My bet for tonight:
Atletico Madrid-Chelsea 0-2 @ 1.6
PSG-Bayern Munchen over 3.5 @ 2.35
CSKA-Man United 2 @ 1.8

I think that Atl Madrid and Chelsea will run true war on the middle of the field and it will be difficult for any team to score easy goal. However early goal could change that completely.
PSG and Bayern are offensively oriented teams and always goes on scoring one more goal than opposite team.
Manchester will have difficult task in Moscow but Mourinho has great team, he manage to compose them into good collective and he is master of Cup competition system.
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $100 of bitcoin in 2010 is worth $75 million today on: September 24, 2017, 11:25:55 PM
That was a real investment. Right now we could expect for bitcoin value to rise, to hope that its price will be 50k+ or 100k+ and to say that we made good decision when we invested when price was 3 or 4 thousand but we can not know if something like that will ever happened, just like people in 2010 couldn`t know that its value will be this big.
Today I have to spend much bigger amount so I could buy one or two btc, back in the 2010 it was much much less and that`s what makes pretty big difference.
Anyway who ever buy then and save till now made amazing investment.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal played as doubles partners for the first time on the second day of the inaugural Laver Cup in Prague.
Swiss Federer and Spaniard Nadal, who have won a combined 35 Grand Slam titles, are part of a Europe side playing a World team over three days.
They beat Americans Sam Querrey and Jack Sock 6-4 1-6 10-5 to give Team Europe a 9-3 lead.
It`s great to see those two players playing together, I think that they are great friends despite to rivalry that they had through whole carer. For example, Sampras and Agasi had totally different relationship, as I recall they did not like each other very much...
Team Europa win this event with 15-9 in score. Federer and Kirgios played last match and what a match that was... spectacle for the end.
This was practically duel between team Europe and team America plus Kirgios but it doesn`t mater, we watched great matches, great show that was  Smiley
387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Barcelona in La Liga, should they stay or not? on: September 24, 2017, 06:20:31 PM
Imagine La Liga without Grand Derby big financial loses for Spanish Football, even majority will vote for independence, that referendum is iligal in Spain,Catalonia independence it may happen after years from now

Faster Texas will be independent country than Catalonia
Exactly. La Liga would be desecrated without derby and without Barcelona it self. If they gain independence I think that Barca will not play in Spanis league. The solution is maybe some kind of economical, sport union. Not just football club but all the other franchise of Catalonial club is important part of Spanish sport history and its future. There was a country that has fallen apart, Yugoslavia. They had one of the strongest league in the Europe. Now, its parts(independent countries) have one of the weakest leagues on the European Continent.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I told my grandma to put all her lifesavings in Bitcoin because you guys said on: September 24, 2017, 05:55:51 PM
To put all your life savings on any investment(not just bitcoin) is wrong by my standards. Any investments could go wrong and we are facing with losing of money. I would advice to everyone to invest in things that they want and think that will make a profit for them but never with full amount, just in case if something goes wrong. In that case you have tried, failed, but you haven lost all of your savings...
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible? on: September 24, 2017, 05:05:16 PM
Maybe in distance future it could be. We still don't have world currency. World should be place with one government, totally globalized first so we could get a unique world currency and I don't know if it ever will happened.
Bitcoin is close to what we epitomize as a world currency as you could send anything throughout the world without any hurdle, you really do not need to convert bitcoin in exchanges right now,all you need to do is send the money in bitcoin anywhere in the world and deals can be done quickly and that is what a world currency is required to do and bitcoin does that,so why the distant future when the future is here. Grin
Hehe you are right, it is close to world currency looking from that point of view, but we still need to exchange it into dollar or some other currency so we could buy stuff. Very few places in the world allow that kind of transaction, i hope it will be more of that in the future. To buy or sell something in agreement with another person it works great and we can named it as a world currency already  Smiley

Here's the draw of  Davis Cup 2018 (World Group):

France vs Holland
Japan vs Italy
Spain vs Great Britain
Australia vs Germany

Kazakhistan vs Switzerland
Croatia vs Canada
Serbia vs Usa
Belgium vs Hungary

the most interesting matches are Australia vs Germany and Spain vs Great Britain (especially if there will be Nadal and Murray)
If I may add, Croatia vs Canada and Serbia vs USA can also be interesting duels. Cilic and Borna against Raonic and Shapovalov, it smells on 5 game duel, Double could decide who is going in next round. Even if Djokovic plays for Serbia it doesn`t mean that they will have advantage, Troicki,  Lajovic and Tipsarevic can have a difficult task to win against USA team (Querrey, Isner, Sock, Young). Double match can also be crucial for those two teams.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think you are a gambling expert? on: September 17, 2017, 10:18:46 PM
I just want to know how you feel when you get a big win from the gambling you play, I know that feel is definitely fun.
But, do you feel or ever assume you are a gambling expert after you get a big win?
Then what kind of gambling has made you think of yourself as a gambling expert?
Every time when I win in a big row I think that I am an expert. And then I lose let's say three in a row and I think that I don't know nothing. And it's happening all the time on that same way.
That situations I experience when I play poker and sport book betting.

There is an expression: who has luck in gambling doesn't have luck in love and otherwise  Cheesy
I know people that have a good luck person and a bad luck person and they gamble or decide not to when they see that one. I don't believe in that kind of energy but that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. I just haven't experienced something like that.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA eurobasket 2017 on: September 17, 2017, 09:24:58 PM
Congratulations to Slovenian team. They deserve gold medal, have finished this championship without losing a match. Goran Dragic is a true MVP of the Eurobasket. All the congratulations to Serbia too. With all those injuries before and on championship this is crazy result for them. This was amazing finale, great game, two hours of quality basketball program.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA eurobasket 2017 on: September 17, 2017, 01:24:59 AM
I didn't know that Anthony Randolph is playing for Slovenia. They have great players, their leader on the court is Dragic. He scored 30 points today. Also Igor Kokoskov is their coach, man great NBA experience, currently assistant in Utah Jazz. I think that they can fight for first of second placed in the group A.

I checked all the replies from this thread and I think you are the only one who mentioned Slovenia and almost everyone picks Spain (including me) to win the FIBA Eurobasketball 2017. Nice call.

Yes, I checked their line up and I'm seeing Goran Dragic and Anthony Randolph among them plus Luka Doncic we played excellent game today and has a good overall impact with almost a triple double today. I think its the combination of Slovenia hitting 3's while Spain missed a lot and Luka really playing well and assisting his teammates by creating a lot of pick and rolls. Slovenia has the momentum now and I consider them to be the favorites whoever opponent they meet now in Sunday's finals.
Thanks man, appreciate that. I saw other players, beside Slovenia 'big three' that can contribute( Blazic, Muric, Vidmar, experienced player...) and they looked like good composed team.
I thought that they will burn out against great game and great victory against Latvia and that they will lose match against Spain easily, but what a deny that was. They demolished Spanish team and right now I don't know what to think about final match that Slovenia will play against Serbia.
And what a story behind Serbian team... all those injured players... I just couldn't saw them as one of the favorites. But they played great basketball through all the tournament and with a bit of luck one of the medals is guaranteed. Coach Djordjevic and his team are doing great job scouting opponents and closing main threats, playing defence perfectly... and players trust him unconditionally, doing everything that have as a task.
Tomorrow we are going to watch exciting final game, I can't wait for it. Good luck for both of the teams.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA eurobasket 2017 on: September 10, 2017, 11:46:03 PM
Time to summarize what we saw in in first rounf of playoffs. There was some surprises - 2015 eurobasket vice-champions Lithuania and bronze medalists France already eliminated. Greece improved their game after group stage and Germany beat Francy after great 4th quarter. Russia smashed Croatia, Shved & co played amazing tonight. I expected more from Croatia, but as usual - they start to play terrible after group stage - we saw it in previous champs.
Quartefinals:
Germany - Spain, Slovenia - Latvia,
Greece - Russia, Italy - Serbia.
For me, most interesting game will be Slovenia vs Latvia.

Totally agreed. Match Slovenia- Latvia is finals before finals. It's impossible to predict a winner there.

P.S. I have some feeling that I am only one who is talking here Tongue
Heh.. I have that same feeling too Cheesy
I wanted to point on Greece before this game but I didn't(for some reason, I don't know why. Their last match in the group was great and I didn't know if that is a turnover in form or just one game but to win pretty easily against Lithuania... Same thing with Italy. I think that Serbia will have big big problem in quater-finale with them.
Russia and Croatia suppose to be a true derby of this round but we saw what happened. You are right when you say that they play really bad in knockout phase. And Russians are my new favorite for final game. Very good composed machine.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: September 10, 2017, 10:07:33 PM
So does this factor affect how you gamble?

If prices go up, do you lower you bets? For example, you normally bet 0.001 per bet, do you lower it to 0.0001 per bet?

If prices go down, do you place higher bets? For example, you normally bet 0.001 per bet, do you place higher bets like 0.01 per bet?
I have some specific amount that I use for gambling but it is in dollar metric system. When I use bitcoin for gambling it is always proportionally equal as I would place dollars instead.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 09, 2017, 09:42:56 PM
Real Madrid couldnt win today against weak Levante and finished with a draw 1-1. I think that the fact that Ronaldo is suspended influence on them very badly.
Barca won 5-0 and for now Madrid has a long way to another championship this season.
This slow start could cost them the championship title. That's second draw for them and Barca won all three games that have played. In situation where they have to chase team like Barcelona, chances are getting smaller for catching them. Ronaldo is really making difference when he is on the field, no question about that, but they should really win in duel with team such as Levante is, especially on Vicente Calderon.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 09, 2017, 06:02:48 PM
Quite sad to see Del Potro lose vs Nadal. He really wasn't lucky with the opponents he had to face. I think everyone will agree that the real final was played between these two. Kevin Anderson is a good player but I don't think he will be able to do anything vs Nadal.
Del Potro had to beat Federer, and had one day less to rest than Nadal. I think a two day full rest should be available when we go for semi-finals and finals. I guess this wasn't really fair for Del Potro but it's how the tournament is run.

I think its less than 48 hours before he faces the Nadal so I guess he's body wasn't able to recover from the Federer match. But I do agree that its not fair specially that players have to go a lot of matches before reaching the semis and its getting tougher and tougher as you go along. If we all know that he will be beaten by Nadal, we just wish that Federer should have won then to see Federer-Nadal once again. Oh well, its gonna be easy for Nadal to take the trophy against Kevin Anderson. I'm not saying that Kevin can't win, but knowing Nadal in this kind of tournament, its really hard to go against him and pick Anderson.
Well it's just that way it is. It is not first time that schedule is not merciful to a player. For example Djokovic lost few titles because he had difficult matches in semi-final. I like to say that he didn't loose title in finale but he lost in semi. Delpo played great but Nadal's tactic gave the result, forcing Delpo's backhand all the time he took full control of the match. Congratulations to Rafa. Big favorite for championship trophy. As I said earlier, I would like to see interesting match in finale so Kevin Anderson, give your everything tomorrow please Smiley
