Try number 2 for the price to break support at 630.  Second chance?

My guess is a ping (bounce off resistance).

Market depth shows lots of ask pressure and hardly any bid pressure. First 1000 btc on ask @ $645, first 1000 on bid @ $580.

http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/mtgoxUSD_depth.html just fyi

Guess was incorrect, whales took over.  Now to test 700. I  have a really hard time seeing a breakthrough here.  But I could be wrong again, because overstock.

FTFY

If it ends up being the case that the chinese gov is simply retarded and they are going to let the exchanges back on, we will be back over previous highs by march for sure.

After factoring the news from China into the stages of a bubble model and extrapolating, I've come to the following conclusion:

Guys I tried to warn you. Hope you listened.

Everyone who takes this stuff too seriously, please ignore me.

omg so much chuckle

He is talking about ex England international footballer, England manager and number one hit wonder Glenn Hoddle

Are you guys serious? You've been missing the best thread around town!

bitcoiners not hodling are missing the point.

Very Doge, many coins  Cool

I laughed a little too hard at this.

Anyone think we will break 600 and stay?

I do.  Alot of indicators are starting to point at buy.  Will we dip down?  Sure.  But I believe we're in recovery mode now.

Were slowing oscillating up,  I think were in the clear until China wakes up.

China doesn't matter any more. They will decouple from the market.
But.. But.. http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1t1o9d/satoshi_found_chinese_gov_has_bitcoin_shutoff/

Lol, someone posted proudhon's joke, haha

Judging by the username it seems to be Proudhon. Even less people got the joke there than got it here.  Embarrassed

If you rely on what masterluc said, the process of finding a bottom will be long and painful. Don't rush in too fast.

I feel bad for you if trust someone else more than yourself trading this market.
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 18, 2013, 09:26:04 AM
Wow lebing. I thought that your honey badger don't give a shit.

Honey badger doesnt give a shit about the short term. Honey badger is all about the long term.
388  Other / Off-topic / Re: Alert: Bad news, from sources! 嚇人的話 <---Proof on: December 18, 2013, 07:57:43 AM
For those of you who dont get the joke yet, Proudhon is trolling the shit out of you.

He doesnt think bitcoin is going to end, he is making fun of people who panic.
389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 18, 2013, 07:50:17 AM
So many bears in here its crazy. Please tell me one good reason that doesnt involve an imaginary line why the price is going to go down farther than it already has?

Edit:

Heres an imaginary line.

it seems we just crossed that trend.

Yep, some fundamental news came out which changed everything. Without China essentially stopping bitcoin, we would be heading back up but now we are going down I think to an area similar to what Brisance posted.

It's almost as if you're personally offended by the fact that we think price is going to go down further. Are you maybe a tiiiiny bit overinvested?

Re: your graph. Yes, I agree, that's a possible line of support. Will it hold? I don't know. I wouldn't bet on it Smiley

I actually stand to make quite a bit of money should the price go say under 500 however I simply do not see any rational reason why that will happen.
391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 17, 2013, 06:56:27 PM

In response to lebing, As you are obviously a bit bullish, perhaps the burden of proof during this price decline is for you to prove to us, why we should start thinking the price will stop going down, and start going up? Something more helpful than an imaginary line would be nice!

Well, I dont make bets on short term movements with bitcoin generally speaking, but time has shown repeatedly just how dangerous it is to bet against bitcoin in the medium/ long term.

The reason why I think this line will hold is simply because its a very different world for bitcoin now than it was 6 months ago in terms of acceptance/ consciousness and overall momentum (The details have been repeated ad infitum elsewhere). Therefore it simply makes more sense from a fundamental perspective that it would continue to go up rather than down. There is simply no reason fundamentally why we should continue to go down. The correction from the bad news on China is already very much baked in imo.

I see alot of soon to be on fire bears in this thread.

No legit target during few years. Fuck it, I go away.

we both know you're not going anywhere...

Its his party... He can cry if he wants to.

I prefer him around though.  And internet suicides are always overvalued.

Why should he cry? He is one of the few guys here, who consistently made money, playing this market.

You havent been around long enough to know that that statement is simply not true. He got badly burned a few times turning bearish when he underestimated the honey badger. I dont see this case as any different than that time period.
395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 12, 2013, 08:03:06 AM

Also, bitcoin don't give a shit.

seems that gold followed us this time lol

Wow, I don't go in for TA much but that's a revealing chart ^^

Also shows that after the $1200 double top we've now had a $1000 double top.

Maybe but what's more clear is major moves happen at the same time on both markets. It's been proved beyond any reasonable doubt that the exchange stabilisation fund manipulates the gold and silver markets so matching moves on the bitcoin markets strongly suggests the exchange stabilisation fund is manipulating them too.

As to the TA, imho bitcoin is too wild to to have patterns repeat themselves with any precision yet that's exactly what we're seeing, according to the April charts we should be entering a downtrend but that doesn't take into account the huge growth in bitcoin awareness. The market wants to go up because so many people are interested but the manipulators want the market to go down to match previous patterns, hence this fairly futile and blatent attempt to start a downtrend.

Bingo. In any case, it will bring a smile to my face when the would be manipulators get burned by underestimating this market.

I'd like to know what exactly triggered this. Are the US buying in big, or is this driven from somewhere else ?
