381  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: December 15, 2016, 03:43:34 AM
For investers and normal users of bitcoin the price of bitcoin does matter. Like I want the price to increase a lot so I can have much more profit. A daily user might also want the price to increase. On case of developers I think they would want adoption more than increase in price.

Bitcoin prices matter for every user of bitcoin.

However a large chunk of that user-base in composed of traders and investors. They are important aspect of the entire bitcoin ecosystem in order to drive the bitcoin economy. Traders want prices to fluctuate so they can buy/sell and make profits. Merchants want stable prices while developers want the prices to keep increasing - since this denotes greater acceptance and increased popularity.

At this moment I think the option can bring more people to the Bitcoin world to start using it is the stable price. When this happen, stores and shops will start accepting BTC as payment system, because that is what they want, stable prices. Consequently, many people will want to buy with BTCs to avoid high fees that we have to pay using fiat because the banks. Cheaper stuff for all customers and happy sellers earning a good stable price currency.
We hope that big merchants will be able to adopt with bitcoin, in such manner the adoption process with be fast track and millions of shoppers will come around and use bitcoin for good. Hope someday it will happen, I am too excited to this community grow bigger.
382  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: December 15, 2016, 03:40:30 AM
Probably the worst characteristic of gold is that it can be easily confiscated by the government if another ban on ownership of gold were to be put in place, unlike bitcoin that can be very difficult to confiscate if you take the right measures.

Gold as an investment is most popular in the US, but there the possession of gold is said to be well correlated with the possession of guns, so come and take it. Apart from that, nowadays metallic gold can only inspire interest among gold bugs and central banks. Consequently, the government (by which we obviously mean the US government) doesn't need either to ban gold or confiscate it. Given the amount of paper gold out there, they could just directly affect the price of it, and no one apart from die-hard gold addicts will be interested in it any more. Hard assets are very vulnerable in this respect...

Just create a derivative market for them, and they are basically done with (whenever you need that, of course)
Gold was used since long long time ago as currency and it still worth now as an investment, but to get profit we need atleast 2 until 3 years latter. But I agree with you that use bitcoin give more control and freedom, government cannot confiscate it.
Therefore gold is more stable than bitcoin, however although we accept that reality, we still have our own asset to consider and that is bitcoin because we are hoping to get profit from investment in the future.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: December 15, 2016, 02:57:25 AM
I first heard about bitcoin when I was searching about ways to earn online and I found out this online currency and I started doing a research about it and here I am now Smiley
i my self first hear about bitcoin on social media and did not show any interest now, after that i heard about this from a friend and he give a detail introduction about bitcoin and after that started using bitcoin.
In social media, there are a lot of HYIP affiliates who are spamming, I also hear it there but my first usage of bitcoin is on gambling. I was a victim of scam investment when I was new and happy to learn from mistakes of the past.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin died tomorrow on: December 15, 2016, 02:54:21 AM
What would you do?
Move onto another coin?
Cry all day long?
Throw your computer in the pool?
Eat 100 bananas?

this will never happen.
It could happen because there's no impossible in crypto, if we have reach this level we can still go back to the lowest level but we do not hope for that, our dreams are at stake here, our investment in the future will be affected and we lose a lot of money.
385  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the big whales are not cashing out? on: December 15, 2016, 02:49:28 AM
Interesting thought. So those who have a lot in btc don't exchanging it, because thus they protect it from the governmental control? I doubt any government would buy so many bitcoins. It is too risky for their own economical situation in the country, their own currency will fall and the the btc will fall, because it is all theirs.
Why would they buy it, bitcoin is shady in their eyes because it's the favorite of the criminals for illegal transactions and the government does not want to involve in shady transactions but they regulate the law to combat that kind of activity.
386  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: December 15, 2016, 02:44:35 AM
For me it will outside Bitcoin world because its very volatile which might be risky to put all hopes on. So the best thing for me is the real world in which you go to college, get good degree and get a good job or if you are going to be an entrepreneur, be good at that you are doing and the income will be steady.
Do not just rely your investment in bitcoin, it's good to learn how to diversify. It's true that you need to have a source of income outside crypto but there's opportunity here also, so you have to balance it.

I can vouch for this guy, I bought 1 account and the transaction is fast.
388  Economy / Economics / Re: How would you double $100,000 safely? on: December 15, 2016, 02:37:37 AM
There is no magic solution and none investment is a hundred percent a secure sanctuary. Maybe a good one is your portfolio to include the following types -stocks, bonds and cash (including bitcoin). An asset allocation of 50% stocks, 25% bonds, and 25% cash would be a good one but you could to reform according the risk you are willing to take.
You got to be specific with your investment, having that big amount will enable you to invest in different investment opportunity just make sure you made the right study before putting into investment. Do not focus in crypto only as in real world there's a lot of opportunity also.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: December 15, 2016, 02:29:41 AM
I like bitcoin because of what it is as a technology. It's safe and fast transactions. I love the block chain technology. It's given us an opportunity to get use to what the future is like for currency, one day this might replace dollars. Bitcoin is awesome
It's safe, yes but not in overall. It's a risky investment because it has not assurance that in the future the value will continue to increase, it's something we have to gamble when we put our money here and we must be ready to lose what we put. I like it as an investment cause I am a risk taker.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I use Bitcoin ??? on: December 15, 2016, 02:22:22 AM
Generally speaking, I choose to use bitcoin over any altcoins because bitcoin has more of a real future than all the current altcoins.

When it comes to using/spending bitcoin vs fiat, currently in the present time, I prefer to use fiat actually. The reason being is that I want to hodl onto and accumulate as much bitcoin as I can, keeping in mind the upcoming halving.
Bitcoin is the real deal and we have seen how valuable it is already, you only invest for altcoins if you decide to trade it over a short period of time. Most of them does not succeed actually so be wise.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: December 15, 2016, 02:05:19 AM
Trading will be the best income source for bitcoin there are other option but i don't considered you to use it HYIP is the most dangerous way to grow our bitcoin if you are just using the affliate program then you can earn profit at least 10% of initial deposit. Also investment in ico's is good but does not mean you are going to invest it's always up to you if you really want too.
yes i am also agree that trading is the best source of earning bitcoin, as i am also interested in altcoin trading. there are so many other people who are good in gambling and they consider gambling as the best way of earning bitcoin so it depend on your interested and your experience and skill.
Well, earning by gambling isn't possible, it's too risky and inconsistent. trading is less risky in my opinion, and it's possible to make good profits. please don't gamble to earn, it's for fun/time pass. Smiley
Yup trading and investing is the best source to earn money from Bitcoin. yes, the gambling is not a source to earn BTC. To compare to Trading and Investing, i too vote for Trading. this is the best way to earn money through Bitcoin. and now the price of the BTC is too high so this the time to do trading.
Not the best source if you do not have a good capital, better try to find a job at least you will receive a constant income for your daily expenses. You only trade when you have set up a good savings already.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: December 15, 2016, 02:02:39 AM
Could be the price that is being manipulated, we cannot ensure our investment will still be valuable in the future. I am afraid of that to happen, hence i only put what I can afford to lose.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2016, 05:03:09 AM
Looking at the statistic in blockchain, there are 146M addresses with >0 BTC. This will be the upper limit.

As we know, almost all bitcoin users have more than 1 address with >0 BTC; I myself have at least 50 addresses with balance >0 BTC. Some enthusiasts and organizations have thousands of these addresses. My guess is that we are still <1 million users, but not far from that.
This is the most logical way to get a range of how many users there really are.
I guess that's a good number already. My suggestion also, is try to check if the number of users are moving or not. I am pretty sure it's moving, so it's a great sign that we will increase in terms of number and the demand will follow.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: December 14, 2016, 05:01:12 AM
Even im new here, i guess the best i like in bitcoin is the freedom it give us. Since it is an open source, we can share the things that we know, we can get some ideas here in the forum, get more information about what bitcoin is all about and maybe extra money to earn.
Extra money is just a small aim of yours, there more than we can do here, you can even quit your job and just focus in investing here. It will be more valuable for your time and that would be possible if you are risk taker.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting porn sites to accept bitcoin on: December 14, 2016, 04:54:18 AM
Well, personal opinion here, I think a lot of porn sites already do accept bitcoin, and other altcoins such as titcoin and wankcoin. However, these altcoins are not used as widely as bitcoin, so i believe that bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency that is accepted by the porn industry.

Bitcoin's irreversible nature should give incentive for porn sites to use it. They are probably sick of people using stolen CCs to scam them, lmao.
That's probably true, they are not operating with license and people who love porn would be more comfortable using bitcoin than credit cards. It's not good to be transparent online especially when you are doing a shady online transaction.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin died tomorrow on: December 14, 2016, 04:32:00 AM
If bitcoin died tomorrow, Litecoin will take it`s place.

I don't think it is not that going to be easy for litecoin to replace bitcoin in the position. Don't forget that they are many in the league and in the line queue. They are monero, dogecoin, ethereum, ripple and many more. So, it is going to be a hard battle for lite coin to replace bitcoin in the top spot, but who cares bitcoin will not die tomorrow.
It will not even happen, if bitcoin will die then maybe all the altcoins will die also. Bitcoin has a big influence in the crypto world as it's the father of all, so when the father die the children will not grow. Just to relate what might happen in the future I sight an example.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I use Bitcoin ??? on: December 14, 2016, 04:27:00 AM
I use bitcoin and not any other cryptocurrency because I trust bitcoin. And also because it is worth a lot more than any other.
And another important reason is that it is the most used, most accepted and most renowned among all.
It's because we are business minder, we love to take risk bitcoin is a good investment worth to take risk. I am one of the supporters who are willing to take more risk depending on the performance of bitcoin and as I can see now, it's very progressive so I need to put more.
398  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 14, 2016, 04:22:38 AM
the choice of savings i will say it's an habit if you are good at saving for the raining days is little bit okay but if you were ask me both are good but i really think that investment is far better than savings because the money will just be there without good re-trues or increment investment is a good form of savings.

Actually savings starts as goal, then once started, it will then be an obligation and doing it for a long time become a habit.  And savings at any given season is always good.  From this, you can have a start-up capital for your ventures, investment or personal business, your choice.  Just make sure you also save from the profit on all of your ventures from your savings.
Brilliant, base on what I read some people have brilliant ideas and that can be apply in savings, however it will not work if we do not execute our brilliant idea, the hardest part is the execution IMO.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: December 14, 2016, 04:18:52 AM
maybe for the high class restaurants or store's. But here in the philippines i dont think that bitcoin can be use as transsaction many middle class people dont know or dont have any idea about bitcoin .

that's true many people in the Philippines didn't have an Idea what is bitcoin as most of them didn't heard about it yet even its name . but for sure many businesses already knows about bitcoin but they do not just already adopt and make it as an alternative payment method . by the way I am not even belong to the middle class but I do know what is bitcoin and how to use it maybe it's not true that many middle class people don't know some thing about bitcoin .
The other reason that the people from that countries do not know about bitcoin is that they do not have any computer to connect to online world. A few months ago i asked from a boy in Philippine to learn about bitcoin and start earning from different services available with that payment. He replied me that he do not have any computer and even do not have any electricity.
Some has computer but they do not have interest in the crypto world, and it's only small of the total population of people who do online with internet has adopted with bitcoin, to be able to understand you must have the passion with crypto.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does a President Trump mean for Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2016, 04:06:34 AM
I think that he doesn't have any opinion about Bitcoin and just doesn't care. The question is has he even heard of it. He made his fortune on different way and that is what bothers him.
Don't think that the fact he's been elected will influence Bitcoin in good or bad way.

I agree. probably he said bitcoin to impress people to choose him as a president. but I see he does not really care about bitcoin, and I am not sure he really knows what bitcoin is. even if he was serious about bitcoin, probably he would promote it to the people, but I am not really sure. imo.
I think Trump in contrast to Hillary know more about Bitcoin than we may assume. He is supported by people who are known to be Bitcoin enthusiasts.
The Silicon Valley's billionaire and known supporter of Bitcoin Peter Thiel agreed to work in the team of the elected US president:
thttp://cwt.top/news/570/known-supporter-of-bitcoin-peter-thiel-joins-trump-s-transitiona
Trump is a businessman so definitely he knows that bitcoin can help people and will give the economy of the world a great benefit. In online transaction we can save with the expenses and it's fast, he is the voice of the people so he must consider our voice.
