Now those clever fuckers at Blockstream seem to want to concede somewhat. However, SegWit with 2MB does NOTHING to get rid of the real problem. The real problem is a private takeover of the blockchain to support Blockstream's view of the future where they charge you money to use their private 'side chains' to the disadvantage of the network's miners. This is a wholesale diversion of funds away from network participants into the private pockets of big investors.
SegWit with 2MB will be marketed as an improvement in capacity. However, it will only serve to let the boys at Core continue to build toward a private 'off chain' system owned and controlled by Blockstream.
Fuck Core/Blockstream and their SegWit2MB
Get out of here with your crazy theories. If you re so worried just FORK ALREADY.

I have a question for you dev:
Sometimes my I have problems with the stakes. I don't whether it's normal or not, but out of 11 staking 2 got an error. Instead of them being confirmed it says: "Generated but not accepted". (these transactions are not even present on the explorer) What can be the problem? Or is this completely normal?
This is perfectly normal. "Solving" a block is a race to get there first. Two nodes might solve a block at almost the same time. Both will tell itself and the network that it solved the block and submit its block to the network. The network might receive the one block before the other one and verify and accept the one it received first. The network will reject the block it received second and when the node that solved the block second receives the rejection message the solved block in the wallet turns to "generated but not accepted". The good news is that the coin age is not reset when a block is rejected and you will find that a block of very similar reward size is solved very soon after the rejection. The error means that your block is an orphan block and not accepted by the blockchain. I also noticed this on the master wallet and have seen it on other pos/pow coins. I think it might be related to the pos block not accepting your stake. Thank you for explaining it Hey Dev, Are you going to update the payout list before tomorrows payout ? I and a few other people were anxious to get on the list before the next payout thanks in advance!

That is because once you stake you have to wait for the staked transactions mature then you can stake again. Its not a bug its how it works. Its a tad confusing but everything should be fine. Theres an initial stake period though when you first move coins, Im curious what that is.

My only regret is not spending my life savings on Bitcoin back when I first learned about it, when it was going for $15 a piece.
Oh well.
Yeah sadly I was a broke college student at that time and 0 is still 0. I did pick some up but not a lot at all. I regret not pushing my parents harder to buy more, but it just as easily could have failed and I would have looked like an idiot.

It will probably only increase and thats a good thing. IMO I would like to see bitcoin pull back dominance from some of the other coins though that are obviously being used just as a way to speculate until the bitcoin infighting ends.

Please don't run translation bounties and other wastefunds ).
I dont think they are a waste of money in the long run, maybe not right off the bat with languages that arent as large, but translation into Chinese is definitely needed.

even though most users didnt get all their money back I am still very surprised that they even came through.

I really hope they filmed this and will release it on youtube. Andreas in India is too big to pass on.

Dont be fucking stupid.
You can't get blood from a stone, there's no perpetual motion machines, you can't fold a piece of paper in half unlimited times, if a genie gives you three wishes, no you can't use one of the wishes to wish for more wishes, and you can't fit more than X bits of information into a space providing X bits of information.
WE AGREE! I was going to say the same thing, for once I agree with Johnny

I wish masternodes werent so expensive to start up. Is there a reason for this besides needing them to be up 24/7 and having more at stake if you have more money? Also what % of coins have been distributed at this point in time ?
|
|
|
As long as we make progress I dont care which solution gets chosen honestly. I want segwit for transaction mal fix which in return is bases for lightning , but I also think that a 2 MB fork if BU agrees isnt as dangerous as many believe it to be. I think the danger in a fork comes if it splits the community. A compromise hard fork isnt that.

but by turning a lets say 400byte tx into a 1.4kb tx by appending on a commitment to the tail of a tx.. is not good
and now people will see why blockstream had the 4mb weight but wanted to keep the 1mb base.
1mb =txdata minus signature ~1.1mb = signature ~1.9mb = commitment =4mb weight all combined.
But not everyone is going to use the privacy feature, I for one have no use for it.

just got a dedicated laptop to run a masternode 24/7 so im ready when the coin releases. Gonna stock up on some more spreadcoin until then though
