When will people spend BTC as easily as fiat , not seeing it as an investment opportunity but a better currency for them to use ? Most of my friends that I have currently told about Bitcoin are most intrigued by its rapid rate of growth and not its outstanding features as a currency. They don't really care that it is free from government control , but are more focused on the fact that it has risen xy% I don't really spend much of my Bitcoin , because I am always in fear. I am not talking about cashing out , but for digital goods. How do you spend 10 mBTC on a 5$ digital good when you believe that the same 10mBTC is worth atleast 15$ , probably more. How much of your Bitcoin have you hoarded , and how much have you really spent ?

Overall , I'm trying to look at how much my guess is true by the poll and your estimates of when majority of people will start looking at BTC as a currency. So, the latest buzzword in Bitcoin is manipulation. Has anyone worked out how much money and bitcoins is needed to trigger a change in the buy and sell behaviour of traders on exchanges? I know the Silkroad Auction did not make a significant impact on the price and the same goes for the odd coins that were sold from the MtGox hoard. How many coins can individuals dump on exchanges to push the price down like this? How long can they sustain such an action to sabotage the price? These are questions that are very relative at the moment.  If the SEC says that the high price increase of last year was manipulation, then they must bring the proof. Let's do our own informal assessment of the situation and determine what would be needed to cause that kind of a spike in the price.  i think with 1 000 BTC you could start to manipulate somehow the market, but i don't think it is inaff, you need serious cash for such things. |

When will we hit a critical point at which there's just too many lost bitcoins due to someone loosing their wallets, dying or corrupted hard drives and etc? At some point this is bound to happen right?
I know that for the time being, low circulating supply means that the coin will increase in value but how low can it get before it starts to give diminishing returns and actually inflict damage to the system? What would happen to crypto in general if all of the coins and altcoins will suffer the same ending?
You are not an optimistic person. The only way to lose all the cryptocurrency is someone to use an EMG (electromagnetic weapon) or a strong virus. |

There were 9/11 terrorist attacks in which 4 large planes were crashed into 3 giant buildings by hijackers/terrorists. Still they show all those nonsense actions and fights in hollywood movies and other movies. Superheroes and action heroes saving the world.
Afghanistan war is in its 18th year now. Suicide bombings and terrorist attacks on military and police. Last year, 10 terrorists killed 160 Afghan soldiers in a single attack.
But people still pay $20 or $80 for tickets to watch those nonsense movies and the movie directors, production houses, movie theatres earn $100 million or $800 million from a single movie.
Money wasting is also economics.
After 9/11 attacks in USA, all the superheroes (superman, spiderman etc.. must have been scrapped)
So you have a problem with the movie industry or with the war in Afganistan? Even if there are some faded stories thru this movies people, uninterested in politics, finde out that something is happening over there. I know it does not change anything but once with the comercial movies cammed the documentaries so i thig it is a good investition. Don't judge the people, judge the war. |

at present, bitcoin is becoming known to people around the world, especially in developing countries. the majority of bitcoin is introduced through news on television and on the internet. Therefore people are starting to want to know what bitcoin is and if it appeals to them, they will invest instead?
Well the government should not be silent on bitcoin, they think bitcoin is disrupting economic stability and there will be inflation in the country.

i don''t believe that such kind of things can happen because of a cryptocoin, i think that this such kind of power has the countries like Russia or Slovenia where there are active many crypto projects and true those projects they create jobs and generates economic values. |

In my country the digital money are almost in-existent, they are not so popular, there are a lot of people who simply likes to count their money with their fingers. a cashless society is a clean society with cheap money and with low risk to get mugged.

It is a question of trust and trust it is hard to win over others. It is true that scams happened but even so there are a lot of positive examples in the crypto market.

This is my opinion.Banks won't make you rich.saving in bank can never do that,because of interest rate that bank gives you is too tiny.You saving will be simply be eaten up by the sleepy monster called inflation. As a example I will take ,When I'm in grade school,each day I received 10Rs (my country currency) from my mother.It was enough to by me 2 meals,but in now 10Rs enough to buy 2 candies.  Banks are just for keep your money safe!  Regarding you position mentioned above relating the politics of bank all i can say is that you are right, they don't have on their agenda tasks like getting rich other people. |

I didn't think this way but is a good point for evolution, yes i do have some incomes and i believe that when i will start a business it will be for sure in crypto, now all i have to do is to find out that outstanding idea. |
