How much hashing power do you need to get 1 BTC per block?

pool is about 42ph   so 4.2 ph  would be 1/10   a block is say 13.5 with fees   so 4.2 ph or 1/10 gives you  1.35 btc

so 1/1.35  x 4.2ph is your answer  roughly 3.11ph   .  it is more complex to be exact.

first  you need to  do the 3.11ph for 5n   which is maybe 80 hours in a row

second  if you add 3.11ph    the pool  goes from 42 ph to 45.11 ph   and you would be short  the 1 btc per block

third  I used  1 btc for the fees.  meaning the block is 13.5 btc  some are lower some are higher.

fourth  with a bit of  in my head math  I boost the 3.11ph to 3.333 ph  if the pool is at 45th

So for today  a range of 3.11 ph to 3.333 ph is a good guess

The rewards you've earned for each block the pool has found.
See the Payments page for the payments you've been sent.

Block-----   Block UTC------   Miner Reward---N Diff-----   N Range---------  Pool N Avg

463502   25/Apr 22:48   12.61703676   2.618T   80hr 38m 43s   38.73PHs

I got my n range from the bold line above  it fluxes
I got the pool hash  from 39.72 and 38.23 and 43.13  it fluxes

so my estimate is 3.11ph to 3.33 ph

Awesome, thanks for that information! It is amazing. I would need to spend $308,0000 approximately to get the 230 S9's @ 13.5Th/s to achieve that  Cry  Shocked  Imma get right on that  Cool

A nice fat one too

Whoohoo!  That's 2 blocks for today...it just keeps rolling on! Cheesy Cheesy

Very nice indeed!  Hopefully we can start solving more soon.  We gained 5PH just today and almost are at 40PH now!

My new s9 shipped friday so should be here soon!

Just a remonder about such posts above - you can post saying you are selling Bitcoin (only) miners but any replies/discussions need to be in PM, not in here, and if you are not mining here for the past month, then no I don't want you posting about selling stuff at all.

Sounds good, I was just kinda thinking out loud lol, didn't intend to start a for sale thread   Kiss

Whelp, I was able to get an order in for the April 25th Batch of S9's @ 13Th so i will soon be adding another s9 to my motley crew and save up to get one of the 14Th+ ones if they have another batch in the future.

At this point I can probably phase out my S5's, sell em on Ebay. Someone with cheaper power can put them to better use than I. Just run two S9's (At 13.5 and 13TH) and 2 S7's @ 5Th give or take.

What type of monthly pay out are you getting on the S9?

Not sure I can calculate that offhand as I run several miners, but it is getting (stats from Kano):

Worker   13.259k   7s   9,058   120,100,022   15.76THs   11m 48s   0.099%   0.040%   13.92THs

I know this month, with all my miners, I have made around  $265

43 hours! honestly WTF!  Huh
Don't recall you bitching about the 0.323%, 4 minute block.  Huh There's a reason it's "on average".  Wink

You haven't heard bitching until it hits 60 hours!  Roll Eyes

I suppose a PC Power & Cooling 1200W PS is not sufficient to run an ANTminer S7 at the standard frequency?

Hey guys, how can I get faster speeds with this miner and my two Nvidia GeForce 980 GTX cards? I install the latest CUDA drivers and this just seems slow, I mean really slow. I found if I install just the GeForce drivers, then the miner doesn't work because it doesn't have CUDA, I install the driver with CUDA and the hash rate drops from 40 to 3 Mh/s. What can I do to get a decent speed?

I hope you all don't mine asking, but I am setting up this miner and i have a few questions. I am not seeing any activity on the PASCL side from the pool, but the miner looks like it is processing PASCL and ETH packets. How can I confirm it is working?

Also, I am running XFX RX 480 card, what is a good driver to use for the best speed? it doesn't look like the 15 series is current.

Is there anything I can add to my batch file to increase performance? i haven't messed with the BIOS yet as I have had a few issues getting more than 5 cards to work. I tried 7 then 6 then 5 and finally got the 5 stable, I hate to jinx me in trying again to add the other two cards. I X'd some stuff out I thought might not be best shared public but here is the batch file I am using.
