I've never done a coin swap before. Are the coins in my existing wallet safe?
You coins are safe in wallet so far as no one else can access them .

I presume there will be a big burn party when the swap is complete of all the unswapped coins, right?
That's right, we will burn all unswaped coins . How about trading coins from new chain (xevan)? Same exchanges as for "old" coins?
Still no word from coinexchange as to whether they'll participate in the swap?
At this moment we still have no response from Coinexchange.io. We have to wait until coinexchange.io answer or apply for new exchange to trade Solaris with Xevan algo . Thank you for your support!

hey there,
so please correct me if im wrong.
does tomorrow blockchain started on new network from block 0 ? and all coins there are still mined getting swapped to new network ?
Greetz
Alex
All coins CAN be swapped, if people do it. If they dont do it within the limit, they will be lost. Tomorrow we will start mining from the block 2 ( the first one is premine for a swap old Solaris with Nist5 algorithm to new Solaris with Xevan algorithm ). During these 60 days you will be able to mine Solaris with Nist5 algorithm as well and swap for the new one with Xevan algo. Thank you for support !

I'm looking forward to seeing Solaris gain in popularity as word of the swap, new algorithm, masternodes, etc... spreads to more and more people. Will there be a guide for setting up Masternodes on Oct. 7 when the new network launches? @Elder thanks for your interest. SolarisMasternode tutorial will be ready for Saturday as well .

What about the bounty? You will need to send a new address the wallet and will do in the future bounties?
Dear signature campaign participants. Please make sure that Solaris address for your weekly payment is not from the Cryptopia .
Thanks for support!

the wallet is not syncing for me. so i cant withdraw my xlr from cryptopia? Also is it possible to make a discord chat for this community?
You need to create solariscoin.conf yourself ( notepad) . Make sure you show known file extensions so you don't accidently name it solariscoin.conf.txt Close wallet first , then edit your solariscoin.conf ( the config file for the Solariscoin wallet is located at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\solariscoin ) rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=18921 rpcuser=USER rpcpassword=PASSWD daemon=1 server=1 listen=1 mining=1 addnode=185.183.99.171 addnode=185.183.99.19 Thanks for support !

Swap process will be 1:1?
On Saturday 07 October at 14:00 UTC the new Solaris network will start. Then we can start swap Solaris ( 1:1 ) through our swap system (swap website and new wallets will be given in Saturday 07 October at 14:00UTC). Thank you for your support!

how much need coins to masternodes For a masternode you will need 1,000 XLR.

I am very happy to read that the swapping is being organised in a very professional and user friendly manner. I am really looking forward to supporting XLR in the future.
Thank you @fedmahnkassad for your support! New XLR coin will have new wallets/addresses or I will be able to use current wallet.dat ? The problem that if old address will not work the users of faucets will lost all referrals and gaming progress.
@startsts new Solaris with Xevan algorithm will have new wallets ( new wallet will be installed in the different roaming folder - old Nist5 have Roaming\Solariscoin). By the swapping time ( until 06 December) Solaris with Nist5 will be still mineable, this mean old network will be working to support swapping. After 06 December will not be possible anymore to swap Solaris with Nist5 algorithm to Solaris with Xevan algorithm. Thanks for your support!

So coin will be starting as an Xevan coin on Oct 7th?
On Saturday 07 October at 14:00 UTC the new Solaris network will start. We keep the same name and ticker (Solaris ,XLR ). The new algorithm is Xevan ( the old one is Nist5) . I hope you get the bounty from both BSD and XLR. If I were closer I'd buy you a beer, or whatever the drink of your choice may be. So, does anyone have Windows compiling skills? This is good news ! @krnlx very good job ! Dear signature campaign participants. Please make sure that Solaris address for your weekly payment is not from the Cryptopia . Thank you for your support!

i have withdrawn from cryptopia to local wallet. lets see what happens.
I also withdraw my coin, so by what serious exchange can i buy XLR for the MN? XLR come back at Cryptopia? After the swap is complete we can apply via Paytopia to have new XLR relisted on Cryptopia. On Cryptopia you have now 29 days to withdraw your XLR. At this moment you can trade Solaris on Coinexchange.io :
https://www.coinexchange.io/market/XLR/BTC
Thank you for your support.

Is there a pool prepared for the xevan launch?
I have xevan support at cryptohub. I will add new coin solaris-xevan that will mean new coin. Mining of solaris-nist5 will be avalable for a while too. For now, you can check your mining software for xevan on mining AMS (AmsterdamCoin): https://cryptohub.online/pools/@startsts I appreciate that ! Thanks

SolarisDev, can you provide instructions for those of us who aren't savvy with the tech behind this? I have coins on Cryptopia, too, and don't know where I should be placing them.
1) How do I withdraw the coins? Where should I store them? Should I send them to CoinExchange.io? 2) How do I get my coins swapped, and what's the timeline for that? 3) When will the coin be relisted?
1) This is an instruction for Beginners how to withdraw coin from Cryptopia :
https://goo.gl/gmoTkU
You can withdraw XLR to your local wallet (your PC) or you can deposit your coins at coinexchange.io as well ( https://www.coinexchange.io/market/XLR/BTC ) . Until Saturday we should agree with Coinexchange that they will do a swap of their entire holdings with me, so users don't have to worry about swapping.
2) On Saturday 07 October at 14:00 UTC the new Solaris network will start. Then we can start swap Solaris through our swap system (swap website will be given in Saturday 07 October at 14:00UTC).
3) After the swap is complete we can apply via Paytopia to have new XLR relisted.
To ensure the smooth swap old coins for the new one we will give you 60 days for swap ( until 06.12.2017 ) through our swap system . On Cryptopia you have 30 days to withdraw your XLR.
Thank you for support !

I'm going to lose my XLR?
2500 in cryptopia.
I'm going to lose my XLR?
2500 in cryptopia.
Cryptopia started delisting Solaris. When a coin is being delisted from Cryptopia , users are given 30 days notice to withdraw their coins. This is a standard Cryptopia practice because they not support coin swap. You need to withdraw your XLR from Cryptopia. You can still trade Solaris on coinexchange.io .Thank you for your support!

For a masternode you will need 1,000 XLR.
Please let me clarify. Like I said before, Solaris Masternode will require to have 1,000 XLR collateral. We will pay 3,000 XLR bounty for the first Windows XEVAN Nvidia miner

Hi guys
Is there someone able to explain to me the advantages of Nist5 hashing algorithm? Sorry if the question seems stupid but actually I don't find a lot of infos while searching on google
The brand new XEVAN algorithm will be replaced our older NIST5 algorithm. XEVAN was found by the Bitsend developer and has since then proven to be a stable, ASIC resistant and efficient algorithm. The Xevan hash algorithm is an unique combination from the dual X17 difficulty algorithm with an extension to 128 bits. The new algorithm should give even more equality for CPU and GPU miners. GPU miners have less advantage making mining more energy efficient. ASIC hardware is unavailable and very hard to design due to the nature of the XEVAN algorithm.
