I never registered on their forum, so they don't know what IP to ban. Grin not much worth reading though to be honest...

I just got in touch with Discover card to inquire about my disputed charge, they also haven't hear anything back despite repeated attempts to contact Alpha Technologies. When it hits 30-days of no contact the dispute automatically goes in my favor, so just keep doing what you're doing please AT. Smiley

No reply from Eric Gunn on LinkedIn yet btw...

These credit card companies doing charge backs on Alpha-Tech doesn't bode well for their getting a Payment Gateway.  No processor will touch them with a 10 foot pole.  I don't know how they could be in negotiations.  Maybe not negotiations, maybe its like begging and pleading any processor to pick them.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my wallet password bitcoin 10btc on: July 11, 2014, 02:47:35 AM
bram_vnl, Even in the best case scenario (the password is comprised entirely of lowercase text) there are 2630 combinations. If you had the capability to run 1 billion combinations per second it would take ~89 septillion (1024) years to run every combination. Our sun will supernova long before you discover a 30 character password by way of brute forcing. Even knowing the word "forum" is in there won't help you to brute force it before our sun dies.

Sorry dude, unless you can remember your password you may as well accept defeat.
You forget the exponential growth of computational power.  So the time it will take to solve with halve every 18 months.  So he may solve it before our sun supernova's but not until after our sun becomes a reg giant and swallows the earth.

But hey those bitcoin will be worth a fortune by then right?  It will totally be worth it!!!

Eric accepted my connect request on linkedIn, I've sent him a message, no reply yet.

Interesting . Lets hope he replies with some useful info.

I'll LOL so hard if they just stole his identity to establish some credibility for their company.

You need more GPU´s  Cheesy

If the alt coin market wasn't such sh!t3 right now I could get more!  Hmmmmm.  Maybe I'm in the wrong line of work...

Crack any strong password 9 characters or less brute force for $500. 3 days or less guaranteed!
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my wallet password bitcoin 10btc on: July 10, 2014, 11:05:47 PM
He said 30 characters!

Sorry 12 is my limit.  I won't be alive that long.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my wallet password bitcoin 10btc on: July 10, 2014, 11:03:11 PM
I have about 150 GPUs that can crack that password for you if you pay for the electricity to run them?
Here are my rates

12 or ^ characters = 5000 years electrical cost + 10% finders fee
11 characters = 60  years electrical cost + 10% finders fee
10 characters = 8 months electrical cost + 10% finders fee
 9 or v characters = 3 days electrical cost + 10% finders fee
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt Asics -Doomed? on: July 10, 2014, 10:51:37 PM
Since the manufacturers are making the money I think it's only a matter of time before group buys turn into crowd funding to start their own ASIC productions.

That is laughable.  If you think the motley mess of scammers and incompetence of the current round of ASIC manufacturers is high, crowdfunded attempts will bet that 10 fold.  Most crowdfunded projects end up barely breaking even or a failure with only a shoddy product as a result.  Sure there are good ones but that comes from sharp management.  If management was that sharp they would have just went straight for preorder.

When scrypt coins collapse because of the KNCminers released all those ASICs will be absolutely useless.  People will be cutting their loses hoping to sell their miners to a sucker on ebay for a fifth of what they bought it at because they are not even making their electricity bill.  Most of the manufacturer orders will dry up and if they are lucky to have made back their NRE they will be fire selling their miners in order to cover overhead and expenses.  Most will go bankrupt and any orders in the queues will be wiped out.

What is different this time from the ASIC run on BTC is that this time there is a lot more money being pulled into ASICs for a lot less profit.  There was a fall in BTC prices when ASICs started coming out and there was a sell of or even chips being thrown away.  It will be 10 times worse for Scrypt.

From 'The Doctor', server manager/admin on the alpha-t forum, trying to quell the riot regarding unavailability of a credit card processor: ( https://forum.alpha-t.net/index.php?topic=687.100 )

"But I must point out I cannot go in to full details due to the policies of some of the involved processors during negotiation…"

The Doctor writes just like Fiaz … sounds like either a relative or a sock puppet but he claims his name is 'Liroy'. This guy's name and style seems familiar … wasn't there a guy with a name like that hired to manage public relations and run the bitcointalk topic of another bitcoin miner scam a few months ago that got moved into some backwater here by an admin ?

WTF.  Credit card processor want to keep dealings quite during negotiation?!?!?!  What kind of BU!!SH*T is THAT?!?!?!  I've never freaking hear of that ever happening.  Credit card processors are services not FARKING partnerships.  You aren't doing doing a trade negotiation!  What?  Do you think because you publicly announce you are using Frontier Processing that the deal is ruined and its going to cause a hostile takeover of their corporation?!?!  Does it mean that if AT concludes the deal that it will prevent other ASIC manufacturers from establishing deals with teh processor?!?!

Seriously the crap that comes out of their mouths theses days.  They have ran dry of excuses and they are digging so deep that they are pulling their tounges out of their own arses.

What are you talking about? Fiaz is totally legit! He's not hiding, look I found this new pic of him:

"Ooooh those Vipers smell sweet!"

http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/eric-gunn/0/287/59

No mention of Alpha Technologies on his page though...seems he's an external consultant.

Sounds like Alpha Tech paid this guy a load of money to "consult" for them.  Probably because the current management of Alpha Tech didn't know what they were doing.  So Eric acts as a figure head and that is it.  I've never seen him post on the forums, here or on the AT website, and this is the first time I've even noticed him.  If this guy was their head of ASIC development he is doing a lot to avoid getting too close to Alpha-Tech.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This altcoin-section has become a massive fail-parade on: July 09, 2014, 12:56:05 AM
Lol same type of thread every year. After the big alt coin run up and the profits gained comes the scams and then the overfeed pigs complain their stomachs hurt. Lol
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 09, 2014, 12:18:16 AM
Is this a real picture ? Cheesy
'Fraid so.

I love the irony of the ADT boxes on the outside to protect the business from the criminals on the street while the real criminals are free to commit their crimes on the inside.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 08, 2014, 01:33:09 PM
Well even though fiaz doesn't post here anymore he does read these posts and chooses to not to provide proof or defend his position.

I know because I just had a post deleted because it was defamation of fiaz appearantly.

The fact that he does visit here and read the comments but does not response speaks a tremendous amount about his defense. He has none.

No credit card processor.
No chips.
No cases.
No power supplies.
No more money.

Face it Alpha Tech is wiped out.

396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 08, 2014, 02:02:51 AM
The absence of any attempt by Fiaz in this thread to address the concerns many have expressed here does not speak well for the chance of a positive outcome.

I'd give him a few hours.  He likes to post late in the night or early int he morning in the UK.  But he did say soon.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Beware of buying from HASHRA (not shipping, pricing practices, communication) on: July 07, 2014, 11:40:55 PM
You have to be careful when dealing with one man startups.  If they get in over their heads chances are they will try to do it all and fall flat on their faces.  My guess is he is not having a good time assembling, shipping and doing customer service.  Trying to make everyone happy he is making everyone miserable.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happening with DOGE? on: July 07, 2014, 11:35:19 PM
1 doge = 1 doge

Doge was never intended to be an investment vehicle. It's true value is in it's community.

By the devs, maybe. But every single reddit thread contains people assuring each other that they think it will turn into a good investment. Like 99% of altcoins, the price is supported by people who think it will be the next bitcoin.

The defining feature of the dogecoin community is that there is a collective delusion that nobody cares about the price. Once that's gone, the coin is no different from Auroracoin.

But DODGE had much NASCAR.

399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats up with LTC? on: July 07, 2014, 11:28:05 PM
Ever since I could count the number of altcoins out there on the fingers of a couple of hands.
This is just a temporary phase. As someone pointed out above, unfortunately, I too sense that the LTC devs are sorta complacent though. Just my two litecents Smiley.

Yeah I remember when I could count the number of alt coins out there.  But that's a long time ago.

As far as LTC development, there are a few proposals going around.  There might be a few enhancements going in hopefully by the end of the year.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Combined Altcoin Index Market Cap Graph/Chart? on: July 07, 2014, 10:32:38 PM
I saw someone post a combined altcoin market cap graph, but now I can find it... anyone got the link?

This one compares selected coin market caps on a graph.  But it won't show a total market cap.... http://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/marketcap-ltc-ppc-drk.html

This ones shows coin market caps combined (2 charts) but it hasn't been updated much as there are many more coins and some of the ones it shows are dead.  http://cryptocoinstat.com/pie.php

That is as close as I can get.
