3801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF I SEND BTC TO A FRIEND/FAMILY, DOES IT MEAN THEY CAN KNOW MY WALLET BALANCE? on: December 10, 2021, 11:45:59 AM
If I transfer BTC to a friend/family, they now know my wallet address, correct? Does this mean they can see all the transactions I have done from that wallet? It seems like wallet information is public except for identity, but that would be forfeited once I make a transfer, right?
Yes they will know your wallet address since you are the sender but if the receiver doesn't know anything crypto related then he will not know your address Cheesy.
Since there is a thing called "blockchain" which acts as an online ledger then they will see all of your transactions unless you will use mixers.
That is the reason why Bitcoin is pseudo-anonymous because they can still track the owner.

If you don't want to forfeit and want to make your identity to be private, just use another address to send money to them though they can still track you if they will try to track that address' transaction. Maybe just use mixers so that you can keep yourself private whenever you will send BTC to your family or friends.
3802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn’t KYC anti-ethical to Bitcoin? on: December 10, 2021, 11:22:13 AM
When i first heard about bitcoin, one of the selling points then was the pseudo anonymity. But as of recently, it is hard to purchase any crypto without encountering a form of KYC.

I’m just curious of everyone’s thought on this.
There are DEX'es that is under Ethereum which isn't require KYC to have access on it. Unfortunately Bitcoin doesn't have anything and we can't access it thru DEX'es as they aren't supporting it.

Anti-ethical or not, it doesn't matter anymore I think. What's important is people will have access to Bitcoin and other cryptos even if it costs their information. Lets just take Binance as an example. They are requiring KYC to their users so that they can use their exchange. People don't care about their personal information as long as they will have access into it. Either way, if you don't want to share your personal information then you still have a choice not to.
3803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should i buy? on: December 10, 2021, 10:16:45 AM
We all know that market is collapsed and reviving again and i don't want to miss this opportunity which coin or coins should i buy?
If you have limited budget, you should pick Bitcoin.
If you have a 4 digit budget (in dollar), maybe Bitcoin and Ethereum.
If you have a 5 digit budget, add Solana and BNB.
If you have a huge budget, just pick the top coins and you're good to go.

Each correction of the crypto market is an opportunity for other investors to enter and buy. If you are a conservative one then just go with the top coins especially Bitcoin and Ethereum. If you want for a quick money then go for meme coins or new NFT games. Good luck with your investment and I hope you will buy and get profit in the succeeding weeks.
3804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 10, 2021, 09:33:20 AM
Lebron James with his 100th triple-double despite losing against the Grizzlies. Congratulations to him and is now listed on the top 5 of the franchise joining Jason Kidd, Magic, Robertson, and of course the top 1, his teammate, Russell Westbrook with 189 triple-doubles already. If he will have more years to play he might even pass Kidd at 4th place with 107 or better Magic @138.
I think he can surpass Kidd at fourth place in terms of triple-doubles. 7 triple doubles is still achievable knowing he is LeBron Smiley.
They lost still to the Ja Morant-less Grizzlies and they won 4 of their last 5 games without him. It seems like they are playing better with Morant out didn't they? Hmmmmm. Anyway, their next game is against the Rockets who is on a 7 winning streak and they also defeated the Nets on their last game. Grizzlies or Rockets? Cheesy.

Nikola Jokic also registered another triple-double in 3 consecutive games. He is back on his MVP caliber type of game but it's not enough to give them a win. Someone in that Nuggets team needs to step up his game or they will be doomed trying to reach a playoff spot. They are now at 7th seed and it's not safe there.
The Nuggets don't have Murray and Michael Porter Jr. because of injuries.
Well, it seems like Jokic is having a hard time carrying the team himself and we can see how impactful Murray and Porter is with the team. I think the problem with the Nuggets right now is their bench. As I'm looking at their roster, it seems that they don't have any reliable bench player unlike other teams. Like you said, I think that somebody in the Nuggets needs to step up if they want to enter the playoffs and at a higher spot because 7th spot isn't a safe spot.
3805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 09, 2021, 02:21:16 PM
Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers game was also a nice one. Since Lillard got injured, Portland haven't been performing very good. And we understand this from their current form as their losing streak has increased to 4 games by this one. GSW destroyed them by 104-94 even though Curry didn't play that much impressive. But I guess there are not too many people who are surprised by this result.
A win is still a win even though the Warriors didn't have an impressive shooting percentage on the game.
At the same time, Lillard and CJ didn't play so I think this is almost expected that the Warriors will win the game.

Still, I can't believe that the Rockets defeated the Nets by 10 points. I mean yes Durant didn't play at that game and yes we can say that Harden played on that game as well but we already saw how Harden is playing right now. He is kinda struggling for me and his numbers are obviously lower than his stats years ago. He really is affected by the changing rules that he is having a hard time to it. He had 25 points and almost a triple double but see his FG and 3PT percentages. Both at 25% and if you will ask other players, this is unacceptable and consider a bad night still.
3806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Is HODL the only strategy? on: December 09, 2021, 10:49:32 AM
I own different crypto and mostly I stake with them because I am interested in the long return. With bitcoin I am actually doing nothing. Can you suggest any strategies to make even a little APR? I know that I can't stake with bitcoin.
I don't know if some will consider this as staking but there are some apps that offers an X amount of percentage per year just by putting your Bitcoins in their exchange and hold it.
Basically it is just staking but under a company or the app not by the developers themselves. In reality, there is no way to stake Bitcoin like the way Cardano, Tezos, Ethereum and other does.

You can try it if you want but do it at your own risk since once you tried it, you will not be the one who has control of your Bitcoins. I'm just putting my Bitcoins into my Cold Wallet and I have no plans of putting it in these apps. It will just earn thru capital appreciation in the long run. Good Luck Smiley.
3807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my Bitcoin when I die? on: December 09, 2021, 10:07:55 AM
If I die (let's be honest, that will probably happen), would my wife or family get my coins? What if they don't know my passwords/private key?
This is the reason why now that you are still alive, you should pick the most trusted person or people in your family so that if an accident will happen at least somebody knows how to access your Bitcoins or altcoins.

If they don't know your passwords or private keys and you die (hope not) then those coins will be lost forever at least for now. We don't know what can be the technology in the next years and decades and maybe we can see something that can get lost Bitcoins (though I'm not expecting this to happen) but to summarize, if nobody knows your private keys then your holdings will be lost forever.

As for me, I already gave all my private keys to somebody that I trusted with so that if something bad happens to me then at least somebody knows where are my holdings and just sell it immediately.
3808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Things will always work out differently on: December 09, 2021, 09:42:48 AM
I told many that charts can be deceiving at times but many don't believe me, some even go and bring out 2017 bull chart and start comparing to 2021 charts so now tell me are the charts still the same? Whatever is going to happen in this December still lies in mystery 🤣😂🤣, things will never work the same way as the past
Charts aren't crystal balls that will predict the future.
In crypto market, there are no such things as certainties but only probabilities. What happened last 2017 might happen this year or it might not.

The point here is we are just basing our analysis on its price movement in the past but the reality is we don't what "exactly" will happen in the future and nobody knows. Many are expecting that this month will be more bullish on Bitcoin but it seems that it didn't happen. I disagree though with what you said that it will never work the same way as the past. I think the correct phrase for that is it might work the same or it might not Smiley.
3809  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Finally Climbs Back Above $50k, but can it Remain there? on: December 09, 2021, 08:02:53 AM
The next days of this week are very crucial for Bitcoin.
The resistance that analysts see is the $52,000 price and if Bitcoin goes above that price this week then we might see a continuation of the bull run but if it goes below $40,000 then chances of a bear market increases significantly.

Overall, seeing Bitcoin at the $50,000 price range is a sign of bulls controlling the market but it seems like Bitcoin is at the edge of the cliff and still there is a chance that it might go below that price. Like I said, the next days of this week are crucial to Bitcoin but Bitcoin going to $90,000 this year seems impossible after the big correction that happened.
3810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 09, 2021, 07:43:22 AM
The Houston Rockets just beat the Brooklyn Nets today 104-114, that team is the number 1 seed in the eastern conference. Man! this team is starting to get on their rhythms, you won't see such things happening in an NBA season more often and they are now on their 7th straight win. They were the last team last month and they were struggling too much to get a single win after losing almost every game and now they are rallying to get to the top 10 just a few more wins to go.

I was also amazed by their performance.

last time they've been questioning if they can continue the rally since the last 6 straight wins are not
a super-team types of opponents, but boy' they now beat the top seeder from the east side,

Though that's a KD less squad, but Harden was there and the supporting players are capable of competing. It's interesting no betting with Houston, handicap for them would be nice next target.

The rockets are supposed to be tanking this year. I’m not sure what’s going on. This is a situation where better might really be worse. Come draft time, they may wish this winning streak never happened. I am shocked they’re managing to put up wins with an all but forgotten roster.
They are tanking but not to the point that they will let all of their games lose.
I think that they will still show their 100% performance in all of their games but TBH, I'm a bit shocked with how they are playing with their last games. They are on a winning streak after having a losing streak. We might say that the Nets didn't have KD but still, a loss is a loss. After all, I don't expect the Rockets to enter the playoffs still since they are tanking.
3811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 07, 2021, 02:37:48 PM
As of now, there are no omnicron variant cases that have been reported in PH.
Hopefully, it will stay that way, as one case reported of Omicron virus may mean a lot has been infected already since PH health workers are not so active in detecting early virus spread.
Hopefully that it will retain to zero since other countries have been already detecting their first cases. In our country, many were fully vaccinated and have taken the first shots and boosters.
It has helped to mitigate the contraction to other people that have also the virus. It's actually good that the IATF was already loosening the other restrictions and this is in favor of all of us and as well as PBA management.
This will not happen.
When COVID19 started, many hoped that it will not enter our country but it happened.
When Delta Variant has become a variant of concern, many of us are hoping that it will not enter our country but what happened? We know what happened. Cases surged to its all time high but fortunately we got the control already.
Now Omicron variant is the new variant of concern and it will enter the country whatever the government will do. Its only a matter of time until this variant will come. I'm not pessimistic, I'm just stating the reality that this variant will enter Smiley.

What the IATF can do right now is to just delay the enter of the variant to our country what I'm hoping too is that the Governor's Cup will not be stopped because of this Omicron Variant.
3812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 07, 2021, 02:30:05 PM

I can't believe that the 76ers are already in the top 7 now, they really have a struggle when Embiid was out, and now that he is back, I'm pretty sure they'll start climbing in ranking again. Great game for these two teams but must better game for the winner.

This trade should be able to boost their performance as a team because they are really struggling without Ben Simmons on their defense and most of the teams are playing 100% this season. Looks like this is a good offer for both teams and the Portland needed Ben Simmons but he needs to showcase his skills in his new team if he ever wanted to make a good comeback and shut all of his bashers.

The question is which players will be included with the trade deal if this happens.

I'm thinking of CJ plus other players in exchange for Ben Simmons. I don't think they will trade Nurkic as they don't have any reliable centers than him (maybe Nance Jr. but he isn't that reliable as well) unless they will go small ball which I don't think will fit with the team composition. If this trade happens then the ball will be focusing on Lillard as he will be the one who will shoot the ball most of the time and this might be trouble for them. What if he injured (hope not), can anybody fill what he is doing especially in offensive.

I like the trade though but I think the ones who will get the most benefit here are 76ers. Well on the other hand though, if this will be the way for Simmons to redeem himself and he will improve so much with this trade then the Blazers will win the trade. If Simmons will learn how to shoot at least at the perimeter or three point then it will be a big help for the team as he already is a good defender and an all-around point guard as well as he can get rebounds and pass.
3813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Altcoin for December ? on: December 07, 2021, 01:55:46 PM
Ethereum and Cardano

We might see the entire market going down in 2022 we don't know but one thing is for sure, these 2 coins that I picked will withstand the bear market and still be at the top trust me Smiley. Many might be looking at the low market cap coins out there but I'm the opposite of it. I'd prefer lower risk coins like the ones at the top than those lower market cap coins at the bottom because even though a bear market happens, these coins will still be there busy developing their project.
3814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Copycats good for the industry? on: December 07, 2021, 10:49:20 AM
Against or not doesn't matter right now at least for me because most of the projects right now are open-sourced so people can copy it, make their own one and then market it.

If you will see what Binance is doing, they just copied most of the features of the exchange but they are right now one of the most if not the most popular crypto exchange as of the moment and at the top 3 in terms of market cap. Well, if copying the source code will have a big improvement in the crypto space then I have nothing against it and I think that developers know it too that there will be a time that some other developers will copy their code thus creating their own project.
3815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 07, 2021, 10:21:54 AM
Social media blowing up today on reports that Dame wants to pick up Ben Simmons in Portland. If Dame says it, Portland better make it happen. I don’t really see how they could pull that off, but it seems like the Dame/McCollum days may be numbered. This would probably be a good move for Portland, but more importantly it might keep Dame in a Trailblazers uniform.

It does mean that even Dame was frustrated with how the organization always ended up every season, and giving a hint that he might end up switching teams, he still wants to continue his loyalty to the team.

If Dame requests something, the Blazers should try to give it no matter what.

As of now, it's still a rumor. If happens, I think Simmons will be utilized more in the Blazers as a Small Forward instead of a Point Guard. He just needs someone to extract his best role and that might be Dame.

I don't know how they piece that trade together but if they can keep Dame, cj and nurkic on the team that would be interesting.  I can't see them being able to get Ben and keep everything together they just do t have that many other good pieces for a team that wants to win now
If Dame, CJ and Nurk will stay and will not be involved in the trade then who will Portland trade to get an equal amount of Simmons.
In the last off-season, the 76ers are desperate to trade Simmons that they even approach the Warriors to have a trade which includes Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, the #7 and #14 picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, and two future first-round picks.

The salary of Simmons is quite high (around $140M in the next 4 years) and I don't think that the 76ers will just get bench players in Portland for Simmons. For sure the trade will include either 2 of the 3. Well, lets see if this rumor will become a reality as Simmons really is having a hard time right now with his current team.
3816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys think 0.1BTC is enough to "make it"? on: December 06, 2021, 02:45:14 PM
Considering the supply vs global population = 0.003BTC per person to go around.
~
Do you think 0.1BTC will be like owning a mansion?
It might be or it might not.
Maybe the OP is at his highest when he posted this. You know what I mean Cheesy.

TBH, there is no mansion here. Not in the next 5 years or in the next 10 years. There is no mansion here but the only thing that we have is a bungalow. Though what the OP said is true, I disagree that 0.1 BTC will be equal to 1 mansion unless you will hold it maybe in the next 15 years possibly but right now we are very far from it and 0.1 BTC isn't enough to buy a house (you can rent one using that amount though Tongue).

0.1 BTC = 1 Mansion might be possible but it will take time to happen or it might not happen as well.
3817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This December is a weird one on: December 06, 2021, 02:21:49 PM
Those who are easily beaten by their emotions are the ones who will loss their money and those who will just remain calm and patient are the ones who will survive to this market.
TBH, many surprised including me with how the market is moving at the start of the month. When many are thinking and hoping that December will be a bull month and the market will rise even more, the opposite happened and TBH this might be a start of the bear market if you will ask me.

What will happen next week will be crucial. If this situation will continue until next one to two weeks then we might enter 2022 with a bloody market or bear market but if we will see a perfect bounce at the psychological resistance at around $50,000-$52,000 then we might see a continuation towards the upwards.
3818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 06, 2021, 01:54:44 PM
My question is... do you guys believe there are chances for the Rockets to participate in the playoffs this season?
Nope.
I think that the team is tanking right now and focusing on developing the skills of Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr.

Its like the OKC where they are honing the skills of SGA, same with the Rockets that they are developing and furnishing the abilities of Green and KPJ. These 2 can be a future all-star so... I don't think that they will do it. Its good though to see them in a winning streak after losing 15 games. Maybe if Wall return and will play for the Rockets then they might have a chance next season Cheesy.
3819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $550,000 gambling on sports this month on: December 06, 2021, 01:37:47 PM
We always see people post about losses, but I won $550,000 this month betting on sports (soccer mostly), and it has truly changed my life! I mostly bet on total goals and match winner! Would love to know if anybody else has experienced this level of success!  Smiley

You're one of the lucky gamblers that are very lucky in gambling.

This is one of the benefit that gambling can give to the gambler but this benefit can be a disaster when things didn't go into your way. Gambling for me is a "hit or miss" game where you will win huge or you will lose all of your money. Its just like investing into memecoins and new projects that you will either lose your money because of rug pull etc. or you will get huge profit. Overall, OP is very lucky to get a huge profit like that. Hope that you will use that money into good things Smiley.
3820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any Proven Method To Identify SCAM 🤬 Projects At ICO Stage Or Even Before⁉️ on: December 04, 2021, 04:36:05 PM
I am not much worried about my loss but I want to prevent others from being scammed.

So please share your experience on how to identify a scam project at or before ICO.
Correct me but identifying whether a project is a SCAM even before its ICO stage is impossible to do.
Just think of it. If we know that there is a method to identify scam, do you think that SCAM projects still exists until now?

SCAM projects are always there and will always be there. New projects are the ones who are mostly the scam projects. This is also the reason why I'm not investing into new projects. Not because I'm afraid to get scammed but because I don't want myself to get scammed.

There are some projects in the past that seems to be legit. Whitepaper looks good and the team is great and they are responding with every question. Things are looking good but after a few weeks, they are getting the money and run with it. Right now, there is no proven method to identify which new projects are scam and which are not and I doubt if there will be ever a method to prove it.
