3801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs. Investing. on: March 01, 2020, 03:06:30 PM
Trading is a very risky part while investing is you're always is a safe zone. Why? Because you can hold it depend on how long the time frame you want and the profit you have been targeted on it.

Not necessarily. You being in the sort of "safe zone" completely depends on what you're actually investing in. I mean, you could hold certain penny stocks for god knows how long and you could still end up in a huge loss.
Tend to agree and my mistake is I didn't clarify what kind of investment that near in the safe zone. Cheesy
What I mean is to stick with Bitcoin when you have a plan for investing and hold it for the long run.

You will end up huge losses if you were invested in ICO's project the usually end up almost nothing. So, all of these were depends on your own research on which potential coin good to hold or to trade.
3802  Other / Meta / Re: I received 1 merit for exactly 10 posts on average. on: March 01, 2020, 02:50:52 PM
It isn't necessarily to make a thread like this if you just wanted to save your nice merit.

You can post it here, Save your nice merit records, here.. You will find different users saving their unforgettable merit records there.

Keep on posting and contributing a good quality post, you will never know you will receive beyond your expectation.

Congrats on that achievement you had.
3803  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What is important for you when buying things online with bitcoin? on: March 01, 2020, 02:03:50 PM
What's the most important thing for you if you started to buy things online with bitcoin?
To be honest I didn't use my Bitcoin as a payment regularly. Sometimes I used it occasionally when I saw that the market was pumped price.

The most important thing is, of course, the brand name of the merchants that already well known and trusted enough for your orders and fast shipping even worldwide(but I prefer on local merchants). This is the reason why I use Bitcoin occasionally as payment because of the high fees. Maybe if merchants allow using Lightning Network for Bitcoin payment that can transact micro payment it is a good idea.

I like what have said the post above that merchants will not use the same Bitcoin address, it will automatically generate a new payment address when you having a payment.
3804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safety Precautions Towards Investment on: March 01, 2020, 01:30:10 PM
Due to the large spread of having profit in digital currency or known as a cryptocurrency. Many people keep engaging in this (they are newbies) and thinking that they will earn too without further technical knowledge on it how it will work. As they heard that investing ICO's project is a way to make a profit but the truth is they don't know the consequences may happen.

Now, to enhance their self and protect from possible scam and maintain safety precautions. They should always have the first research before investing their money. Or direct investment to Bitcoin is pretty safe than those ICO's/IEO's projects that more likely turn out scam. Educating their selves first is a protection against scam/fraud investment.
3805  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs. Investing. on: March 01, 2020, 01:11:14 PM
Yes, they are good at making money but they are totally different when it comes to action on how to make money. Trading is a very risky part while investing is you're always is a safe zone. Why? Because you can hold it depend on how long the time frame you want and the profit you have been targeted on it.

I may advise if you have a capital for that, just split your money into two. Half for the trading and another half for investing. Probably in that way, you can cover your failure if there is.
3806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 10:31:39 AM
That is a great video and also in that way it can help to promote Bitcoin. Let me innumerate it here the list of what are those ways to promote Bitcoin that stated in your video.

  • Personal conversations through friends, colleagues, siblings and etc.
  • Holding/conducting a seminar
  • Writing articles such as blogs
  • Making memes, stickers and giphy
  • Making Videos

Yes, there are a lot of ways to promote Bitcoin but it doesn't mean they will easily learn with it. It will probably take time for them to understand very well how Bitcoin works. Explaining to people about Bitcoin without technical knowledge to understand how it will work is not easy for them to absorb in their minds.
3807  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn from this forum? on: February 29, 2020, 09:39:10 AM
snip-
We are all here because we want to earn money, money is the reason why we keep on working hard in any aspects, I do not understand why they do not answer the topic about how to earn money here, which is very important to the beginners to know. I am still hoping that there is someone that will answer what I want to know.
But this isn't the right place for that, just bear in your mind that on this aspect 85% is for discussion and learning through blockchain technology and other cryptos related issues. Since you are newbie here, please stick and engage first to the different discussions (forum rules and how Bitcoin works together with blockchain technology) before you think of earnings.

Find a decent job for you and when you have a vacant time after your work, reading forum discussion is the right place for you while you are taking rest. Once you are knowledgeable enough, you have a high chance to earn merit and rank up and also have the opportunity to join a signature campaign. It is not a good idea if you are here relying on your source of income.

If you really want to work using your internet and your device. A freelancer job probably is the best place for you.
3808  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Charts Are Garbage on: February 29, 2020, 09:06:04 AM
How could I vote the poll if the choices are the same?  Angry

Crypto chart reading or having Technical Analysis(TA) through reading a chart is wont to give an accurate result in actual price results in crypto. It is very helpful for traders to give a forecast price movement based on the previous price. It is good to predict if you have references in trading, otherwise predicting the market movement without using this is might be boring.

Targeting profit through candlestick pattern might having beneficial to traders, I didn't consider this tool as bullshit and no use in trading.
3809  Economy / Economics / Re: Are socialized healthcare and higher education inevitable? on: February 29, 2020, 07:22:45 AM
As far as I know, socialized healthcare and higher education are the two things that are really needed to be supported in a country.

In my honest opinion, the US must keep socialized healthcare and higher education as it is fairly considered as a long term investment. The reason why countries mostly grow is just because the people in the country are the majority educated. In contrast, poor countries tend to be poor because of a lack of education and healthcare access.

It really is hard to live a life when you have no finances and proper education. But I guess the government is trying to miss an important one. The financial literature. I don't imagine a country with financially literate/educate fellow countrymen. It would be the best country of all. IMO.
3810  Economy / Economics / Re: Wells Fargo Fined $3 Billion for 15 Years of Illegal Practices Affecting Million on: February 29, 2020, 05:45:34 AM
This is so sad. I can't imagine how much did Wells Fargo earned with their scheme. This news made me have trust issues with the bank. I feel very disappointed every time I learn things about the banks and how they do their businesses.

The $3 Billion dollars fined for the Wells Fargo is not enough to cover their misuse of identities of their users/depositor/ customers/client.
Another question is, where would be the $3 Billions goes then? Well well, another cash to be corrupted.

3811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have an idea in percentage how big gambling industry's contribution? on: February 28, 2020, 02:49:59 PM
BIG ENOUGH that the gambling industry could clean the dirtiest money in the whole world. Imagine how do they contribute with the oligarchs? They are the ones who play the laundry game. Whales of the cryptocurrencies are relying on these gambling platforms to clean their cryptocurrencies. That's the truth. So Gambling companies are very vital to our industry.

As of now, we wouldn't feel the benefits of gambling. But the time when we will need to clean our crypto due to taxes or crime, Gambling platforms are the ones to connect with. If only churches could adopt cryptocurrencies, it would dominate the laundry business and gambling platforms will be kicked-out. IMO
3812  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Map of Stores Accepting Bitcoin on: February 28, 2020, 02:34:35 PM
I viewed the map here in our country because I'm curious about it to know the popularity but it is sad to know when I saw the result. It's different from what I have expected. Cheesy

Thank you for sharing this.

I really find it sad since people are expecting bitcoin to be mass adopted by the herd sooner or later. But then, the governments are already taking action to prevent the users to liquidate their assets from the cryptocurrency-space.

I have this paradigm where governments would possibly stop the crowd using the cryptocurrencies by enforcing them not to liquidate and mind their cryptocurrency assets anymore. Because for them, cryptocurrencies are a threat. And the revolution is never cheap.

I will be more than grateful for the cryptocurrency for letting me have a better economic paradigm. It taught me how to play with the market. But I think, the good days are meant to be over. And change will then come.
3813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to improve the usability of bitcoin? on: February 28, 2020, 02:09:31 PM
There is a lot of solution since then. Bitcoin is currently playing its role in the market already. The Bitcoin doesn't need to be revised and for its risk to be reduced. The solution from that is to build another coin and back it with stable currencies, I mean cracking the bitcoin usability code is a work in progress in the future. That basically it. But those coins can be converted to bitcoin as well and are considered as cryptocurrencies still. (just backed by stable currencies)

Probably, the freelancers job is really great help to increase the usability of Bitcoin since now they eventually used Bitcoin for payment.
3814  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto mass adoption achievement on: February 28, 2020, 01:46:46 PM
Just if Libra of Facebook made it to the market, it could have made the whole cryptocurrency adopted by the mass. I still remember the day when Mark Zuckerberg announced Libra. The organizations around the world were shaking to join the said project.

Visa joined the group. The Libra's original company owners from Swiss almost made it with the unicorns in Tech and Fin-tech. But it failed since the government stopped them.

Maybe mass adoption is getting more and more blurred today. The governments are not happy with the cryptocurrencies. Disruption and revolution are never cheap. They said.
3815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency vs. Fiat currency. on: February 28, 2020, 01:22:53 PM
In my opinion, it's not really necessary to compare or compete with the two currencies. Why? They have different principles. They are definitely two different things.

We need Fiat currency to make sure that we will be having a nearly stable currency for liquidation. Cryptocurrency is the one who will help us to enjoy the volatility of the market. There will be a time where Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will not be decentralized anymore (but I don't know when). The governments around the world are already taking actions regarding the liquidation process of cryptocurrencies and are trying to avoid crimes such as money laundering and other cybercrimes keep growing. But for me, Bitcoin and other crypto are good for having a good asset.

Settling with cryptocurrency is not a good idea. At least for now.
3816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: February 27, 2020, 07:59:33 AM
snip-
Now I feel that BTC will trend down hitting sub 1 dollars prices possibly even 0 over the next 12 to 18 months.
You'd witnessed now a downtrend but that is only a small correction of the Bitcoin price. I have been watching the Crypto market price for almost 3 years and I experienced the worst downtrend last year compared to this year. So, there's nothing to worried about because that's how volatile works on Bitcoin.

Bitcoin will never have a predictable movement. Ever. Unless someone is actually trying to control the market and is trying to fool the mass that they can predict the movement. Then the result might be something we wouldn't want to happen. That is for them to change the movement quickly and since the people are fooled with their nonsense prediction, then the real players would take advantage of it.

Coronavirus outbreak has nothing to do with the price of Bitcoin they are not correlative. And, it is impossible that Bitcoin will become to zero price unless if the whole world against it and banned all sites that may access Bitcoin. Adoption is not the thing here. Blockchain has never been adopted by the first-world countries to support crypto. They have used it for different purposes and that basically it.
3817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Keeping A Record Of Your Losses Will Make You Realize To Stop Gambling on: February 27, 2020, 04:13:55 AM
This is a big no for me. And I'm sure no-one would do this in gambling. Gambling is not a business, no need to take down notes. Keeping a record of your losses would only result in frustration and urge to recover the losses. Never a good idea.

Instead, stop without any reason. Stop as it is necessary. If you felt that you've lost enough cash and some assets for your vice, then stop directly without looking for any options to quit it just to justify and to keep your gambling. No more last bets and no more resolutions and just stop, that is the solution. You should make sure to avoid the addiction to gambling. It will never be healthy. But gambling is for fun should be the thing.
3818  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Decentralization System Effects on: February 27, 2020, 03:49:55 AM
In addition to replies above.

1. Ain't so sure how long would it survive. The decentralization is currently getting so much attention from governments around the world. Since yes, even though there is a lot of things that makes decentralization impact lives in the positive way. There is still a number of negatives that are really needed to be stopped. (the Cybercrimes and money laundering)

2. More than secured. However, there is a least chance that government will lock all the custodial wallets by not letting people use theirs and stop them liquidate their assets. They can't convert from crypto to fiat or vice versa.

3. If may number 2 happens, there is a lot of people who will be hurt big time including those companies of all custodial wallets that may regulate by governments.

4. Not so much. Some countries see it as a threat. Revolution is too expensive for the government and the current businesses. Disruption will never be cheap.

5. This one is a big topic. Too much argument for this one and no one can guarantee it. But the chances of the Government embracing it
is small (luckily here in our country we freely use crypto even it is not declared by the government that it is legal). As I said to my number 4, some see it as a threat.

3819  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just some Busting on: February 25, 2020, 05:19:37 PM
Okay, let me explain what @cabalism13 said.

TBH, I never arguing here in reputation even in meta because I dont want to involved dramas that moreover other criticized people when we talked connected accounts. Some of them did not believe of what you have said.

TBH, way back then Bitcointalk was introduced to my eldest brother that is jhongzjhong account. We know that joining and giving merits to each other was a forum offense and we never do that even though I have some post that must deserve to be merited. I know what is the rule of the forum that why I always abide on it to avoid problems in the future. And I told him that doesn't cross any signature that I joined because they will think you are my alt and even in previous accusation I never make dependable on my side because I know that we dont have anything wrong and alt account is okay as long as you are not abusing forum(that is a crime). And I think @cabalism was wrong of saying committing crimes. Now, he got a job and having a family he totally leaves on this forum

Now, let's proceed to the second one. BTCeminjas, that account was created by my elder sister(I'm the youngest sibling among them) and that was stated to me before in meta.
From my 2 lovely sisters, because I'm the youngest sibling among them all- they love me and care with me.
From the end of their names have sheen and shane, I've got this combination username of their names just because it is symbolized for me in a return for their love and care to me.

Now, our mistakes are we used the same wallet before because since we are newbies we dont know that using the same Bitcoin address will result like this. And due to the laziness of my eldest sister, I dont know what is the reason for banning as far as I remember she said she used google as a reference of posting. But I know we are not committing crimes of joining the same signature or joining the same bounties.

Yeah, I know those who are reading this will not believe because I saw most cases like this and that is why I did not give my feedback before as long as I'm not abusing the forum. And besides, I'm more active on local. I don't know this OP barking me this old issue that only mods will make an action not by giving feedback as cabal did.

Now, everyone read my opinion and I respect what mods taking action about this. They had a right to investigate my case and do what is right. Even though I'm not so useful in the forum but I contribute and keep active as much as I can even I have work in real life. It might this is my last post or whatever mod decision is at least I'm honest in this forum and there's no CRIME happen. (hacking, running money or even trolling) I'm trying a good member of this forum.

But I really appreciate if there is forgiveness I can continue my journey here and keep helping those who wanted my help.

To OP, I respect what you are the purpose of posting this. Just continue busting alt accounts that abuse on the forum. That is the real toxic here.

Thank you so much I will not respond to this thread anymore.

A good member of this forum,
-sheenshane-
3820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: February 25, 2020, 03:51:58 PM
Your purpose is invalid to me, I will never do that because it is very risky. What if you lost your bankroll in betting everything was gone but your debt there will remain. I will suggest if you are willing to that just use your own money. Or much better you have another source of income to sustain your bankroll fund and to lend others just for gambling is not a good idea for me.

Though that is good if you are very lucky it will easy to generate profit from it but on the other side, it might be faster to drain your wallet.
Think it over twice and the possible consequences might happen, the decision is all yours. Because sometimes I believe in saying "Taking and Managing risk might lead you to success".
