3801  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hello I need help in accepting bitcoin on my upcoming lottery website on: May 28, 2020, 03:56:58 AM
Can anyone help me with that
Not sure if you're looking for a particular function along with having the option of accepting bitcoin but the following services should do the job:

- BTCPay
- Blockonomics
3802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 27, 2020, 01:29:19 PM
I saw some goal celebrations in Germany today, it looks so joyless. Players kind of high fiving with their lower arm bones, just weird. I guess we have to get used to it though.
Either have contact or don't I think. This elbow handshake is just stupid.
Such movement are indeed unnecessary but well...players always do silly things. The essential thing is that they are screened.
What they're doing is spreading awareness [a positive thing to do, even if some of them do it as a joke]...
- It might not completely eliminate the chances of getting infected or transmitting it but it significantly reduces its chances.

Based on the latter part of that statement, anyone knows how many stages there will be before actually resuming the season?

Stage Two of the Return to Training protocol has been agreed following consultation with clubs, players, managers, the PFA, LMA and the Government.

Discussions are ongoing as work continues towards resuming the season, when conditions allow.
3803  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Data Center on: May 27, 2020, 10:28:38 AM
Any thought's on good places to advertise it to this community?
Apart from this board, for a fee [if it's urgent and you need to get the maximum exposure] you can try purchasing an "ad slot on this forum" or if you prefer to not spend anything, you can try the following Reddit marketplace (BitMarket).

You might want to consider doing the following things as well:

  • Add the following tag to the subject field of your thread: [WTS]
  • Add photos of the data center [write your forum name on a piece of paper and include that while taking each photo as well].
3804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 27, 2020, 05:35:21 AM
Wolves have Jimenez and Campana, they also have good wingers like Traore and Diogo Jota, and they have all been scoring couple of goals for wolves to keep them where they are in the table. So just like you said, if it's between the two teams, then Newcastle need him more.
I just read a rumor that Man U is interested in capturing Raul Jimenez...
- If that happens, then Higuaín fits well in Wolves.

I'm seeing a lot of rumors about "Coutinho to Arsenal [again]"...
- His agent is connected with a few Arsenal players.
3805  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] JacksClub.io - Signature Design Contest [PRICEPOOL 0.045 BTC] on: May 26, 2020, 09:22:55 PM
I've notified the escrow about the payments, they shall arrive shortly.
And again thank you all for a successful and fun contest!
Here is the "payment link" [sorry guys, it took longer than expected to receive verifications from some of you]...

Once again, congratulations to all of the winners Smiley
3806  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ProExchangers Exchange Review and Aggregator platform on: May 26, 2020, 08:00:10 AM
ProExchangers will be the voice of the end users and will protect their opinions, no review will ever be deleted and any review considered to be a shill or spam will be moved to the spam folder.
Apart from the highlighted part, what other measurements are in place to combat against other creative ways that some of these scam exchanges do to take advantage of such platforms?
- Care to share your criteria for considering a review as a shill or spam?
3807  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1miau 2nd anniversary giveaway [2 mBTC] on: May 26, 2020, 07:16:12 AM
I'll take the number "85" pls and congratulations in yet another year on this forum Smiley
3808  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to improve my app ratings easy job! on: May 25, 2020, 05:47:30 AM
But he has also added "Installs", may be he will not get fake reviews ?
The installation part is just a cover-up to match the number of reviews with installs...
- OP also mentioned in the subject field that he/she is after "improving" the ratings for his/her app.

Update:
You cant review without installing them .
I stand corrected [for my first line].
3809  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Importance of use forum PM during make a financial deal. on: May 24, 2020, 09:43:07 AM
So what will happen if seller scam you? You can make accusation with proper evidence, if seller deny your claim then it could be verify via forum moderators by report to admin from PM option.
I agree with other parts of your post but AFAIK Admins or even Moderators aren't verifying the validity for such things since the "Report To Admin" button was designed for something else...

19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

Q: Why haven't you banned <insert scammer username here> who is an obvious scammer?
A: Possible (or real, not for me to decide) scams are not moderated to prevent moderator abuse. If we start picking out which ones we call "scammers" and ban, we would make a lot of decisions based on biased opinions.

Q: Do you moderate/delete (possible) FUD, accusations and untrue information?
A: No. We don't have enough time to check every single piece of information and verify the validity of the sources. Also, just like scams - too much room for bias and abuse.

In another case, using forum PM has other advantages for buyer/customers.

In addition to what you mentioned, they need to have the correct settings on "Personal Message Options":

3810  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Satoshi Bitcoin Converter is now a web app at SatoshiBitcoinConverter.com on: May 23, 2020, 08:12:13 AM
Hmm. Try a different browser.
Based on the provided screenshot, "JeromeTash" was on the USD to BTC table and should've typed in the last field that's highlighted in red and in other fields if he/she is on the BTC to USD table.

I bookmarked your website [I'm sure it'll come in handy] but the only change I would like to see is having the box field for each row to be a bit bigger/longer than it is now...
- In order to see all of the numbers without having to highlight them.
3811  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: May 22, 2020, 05:21:24 PM
After posting in another thread [earlier today] about a related topic, I noticed a part of "Signature restrictions" is still outdated...

The description part for the "Avatars" sections needs a little update as well...

It must be no more than 120px wide, 80px tall, and 100 KiB in size. It must be a PNG, GIF, or JPEG image. It must be safe for work.
non-animated PNG
3812  Other / Meta / Re: Affiliate program as a signature ? on: May 22, 2020, 01:20:29 PM
As a newbie rank, your signature will look like a normal text and not clickable with limited of 50 characters, it will be updated soon as you rank up it to jr.member or purchased the copper membership.
A few corrections:

  • Newbies no longer have the option of adding 50 characters as part of their signatures [that option no longer exists on their "Forum Profile Information" part]...
    - Newbie: No signature.
  • They need to reach "Member" rank in order to have clickable links.

There is an issue about this way back. I remembered some people part of a signature campaign where there signatures have links containing their own referral links got a negative feedback for promoting the service at the same time using their referral code.
I believe OP's case is different from what you're referring to.
- He/she is after promoting the referral link for his/her own future services.
3813  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Fantasy Trading game seeking for suggestions Your help will be rewarded on: May 22, 2020, 07:36:30 AM
Players can educate themselves and learn about the trading before entering into the market. The process is quite similar and with the help of Live charts and data shown when you are playing it will give you the same feel as it is based on live market data.
Apart from the learning part prior to entering the market, it would be nice to allow players to do some tradings [practice] with virtual funds [in order to give them some confidence and also help them decide if they want to continue risking their real money, before trying the real trading part].
3814  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Any experience with STICPAY payment service? on: May 21, 2020, 06:22:46 AM
Any experience with STICPAY payment service? Is there a convenient API there? Please, tell more about practical experience. Any reviews?
Couldn't find any reviews on this forum but "here's their Trustpilot page" with most of their reviews being bad and poor...

Is it a scam or not?
Based on those comments, it might be so if I were you, I would stay away from their services.

We need to use a bitcoin-friendly payment service on our site. Any other recommendations or comments?
You can try the following options:

3815  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How does a BINANCE LOAN WORK? Help please on: May 21, 2020, 02:55:52 AM
I didn't know Binance offered such service so did some digging and found the following information:

Could someone please walk me through an example:

Loan Amount: 10,000 USD
Collateral: 1.7 Bitcoin

Now it's where I am getting confused.

Margin Call: 75%
Liquidation LTV: 83%

How do I calculate the margin call and the LTV in this example? What are the values than?
This is the formula for LTV...

  • 10,000 $ /1.7 BTC [16,180 $ = current preev rate] x 100%
    = 61.80%

And this is how you can calculate for other values in margin call and liquidation percentages:
  • For 75% use 10,000 $ / 0.75 = 13,333 $ [1.402 BTC = current preev rate]
  • For 83% use 10,000 $ / 0.83 = 12,048 $ [1.270 BTC = current preev rate]

What happens if bitcoin crashes? Do I get automatically liquidated or is there a certain time frame I can top up? I am not permanently at my computer if I am taking a loan for 90 days for example. Is there a grace period to top up?
It depends on the crash...
- If it reaches or goes beyond the Liquidation LTV [83%], "it does the liquidation process automatically [no grace period]".

Useful information:

- Loan-To-Value (LTV)
- How to use “Binance Loans” Service

3816  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinTasker.com - paid in btc? on: May 20, 2020, 08:10:23 AM
Since the forum is very new and lack of trusted members then what will be the security of money during buy?sell?
Based on its current state [no rules or FAQ page], I'm guessing both involved parties are on their own...

@satosh!n@kamoto: You just created a pool of funds for scammers to fight for.
- I'm not saying anyone that uses your forum is a scammer but there will be a lot of scammers that'll try to take advantage of the situation.
3817  Other / Meta / Re: Escrow Section / General Scam Prevention on: May 20, 2020, 05:41:55 AM
Making an escrow section with a stickied post defining how to use escrows would be pretty beneficial in my opinion, as it eases a learning curve that buyers/sellers may have while offering simple scam protection on the forum.

Another step would be to have only trusted members be able to post in that area, meaning escrows would be of hopefully higher quality.

Any thoughts on this approach?
~Snipped~
I do agree with both of your posts but the likelihood of this happening is slim to none at the moment...
  • It's somehow similar to the outcome of other requests for various sections [e.g. Signature campaigns, LN, accelerators and a few more] and that's not having enough demand or threads for this kind of section/board to be created [yet].
3818  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Coinmarketcal : A browser Addon ! on: May 20, 2020, 04:44:54 AM
Oh, ok I was not aware of this rule, do you have a link to it ? In any case I will delete this part, thanks for the information.
Sure, here you go:
- Including addresses like that for donations/support is directly/indirectly counted as begging.
- Thanks for taking the necessary step.

7. No begging. [5]
7. Begging can usually be identified when someone posts their cryptocurrency address, and is asking for "donations". Specifically, any post that is begging for monetary gain should be reported , and if required due to the post being lengthy include a quote.

A question regarding "blacklist words":
  • Are excluded words saved forever or should we type them for each search query separately [each time]?
3819  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's seclog log on: May 19, 2020, 04:43:26 PM
I know Firefox can handles large HTML pages better than Chrome.
As LoyceV stated, Firefox handles it slightly better, and that's what I tested it on.
Just tried testing it on Firefox and the difference was night and day [quite responsive].

I've added a compressed file. If it's slow after downloading, you have your own computer to blame Tongue
I have a beefy computer but the improvement wasn't that significant in Chrome Tongue
- Perhaps as you said earlier, it has to do with browser limitations.

I disabled "hardware acceleration" in Chrome and noticed some improvements...

Bugs
Please post if there is any problem with the data.
Not sure if it's my internet speed or it really loads slowly [it took me a very long time just to be able to load the data for the previous day and scroll down without having lags]...
  • Highlighting a certain part seems to contribute to its lag.
  • After a certain time, it stops loading the data (I waited for 5 minutes but it doesn't load any data past may 16th, on my side).
    - I was able to replicate this issue twice (tested in Chrome).
