The Nets played last night and it's a back to back game, so I have a feeling that the fresh bulls will win this game to stop their losing streak, so I trust the home team here to win and cover.

This is a tough choice man but I'm riding it. The bulls need to win this game, they will be in a 3 losing streak if they would lose and that's not good for them as they have a good start. They lose against the 76ers twice, but this is a different opponent, a much better team compared to the 76ers so it's a good test for them if they could really compete and be in the playoffs. Yup, tough choice but I like @stadus reasoning, plus the Bulls are going to play in their home court, so I think that's a big advantage though. They really have to prove something here that they are for real and not a fluke. And as you can see in this game, the Bulls are the favourite: Chicago ML: 1.83, Brooklyn: 2.03. The odds probably move as it's already 1.78 now, and to get decent odds, I need to adjust on the spread by betting -2.5 for Bulls, I guess that not be a problem if they will really win this game as most of their wins are in high margin, so it's worth to take the risk. For MVP candidate, never miss Caruso LOL! Well, tbh I guess on the likes of Durant, Jokic, Giannis, Curry, are in that race.
IMO, Durant should be in the top 1 now being a contender in the MVP race, he is very efficient and he can make at least 30 points per game without a problem. Giannis and Jokic, they are not so consistent yet, their teams struggles a bit but Durant keeps winning for his team and getting good numbers. Yeah, who wouldn't missed Durant in the top 3 of the MVP race for this year? I don't think that Jokic can do back to back, his Denver Nuggets is not the same as last year. As for Wiggins, he is still part of the GSW, not sure why the discussion of him being traded. His points might be down a bit from last year, but still the same Wiggins for me. It's that Jordan Poole is now the new player in GSW as the second best scorer. He will always be in the trade discussion because he isn't producing like what a superstar should produce in a team, maybe some people are satisfied with his performance but for me, this performance is not that satisfying based on the huge contract he is receiving. Commey stats are very impressive wins 30 with 27 KO'ed from 33 matches, but looking from which boxer his fight most of them were amateur boxer. The interesting part both of them have fought with Lopez, Lomachenko lost with unanimous decision result while Commey lost got TKO'ed by Lopez in round 2. I think we can draw the conclusion Lomachenko will win this fight, probably 70-85%.
That would probably happen since Loma has already taken the lead by fight experiences. However, slight chances that anything can happen in the ring especially when your opponent can change tactic anytime he feels threatened and distances himself to avoid power punches just like how the fight turned out with Casimero and Rigondeaux where he was nearly defeated by Rigondeaux with his runaway tactic. This could happen to Loma but with other tactics that his opponent has been practising till the fight. I'm sure that is not the reason, in terms of fight experience, Richard Commey has more because he got 30 fights already in his professional career while Lomachenko only has 15 of half of Richard Commey total fights. That was a great win for Canelo Alvarez. It was not just another ordinary win in his record to celebrate. There is another big reason for a bigger celebration and that is because Canelo is already an undisputed champion. He is the only undisputed champion in the whole history of super middleweight. That is amazing.
As to the fight itself, it was not really that exciting. The whole fight was Canelo's. Caleb didn't give much challenge to Canelo. He only won a few rounds. He didn't hurt Canelo at all.
That's correct, as usual, the early rounds are for his opponent but when he heats up and begins to find this rhythm things would be then in his favor until the last round of the game, whether it's a KO or through judges' decision. Canelo has made his name in boxing already but he is still young, so I'm expecting him to have more fights and probably moving up would be a good idea for a tougher challenge. |

That's the problem, others are considering the Lakers as a superteam so they are expecting something different. I don't see how they become a superteam even prior to the start of the season and I mentioned it here. These guys are composed of mostly veterans. They are prone to struggling. But yes, these veterans should know how to step up. But still, too early to conclude they are a rubbish team with no chemistry. We are still in the early phase of the season even they are already behind other teams in terms of proper blending. The question is how long they will struggle, people would always assume they are the best team because they have the best player in the NBA which is Lebron James, they called him the came for a reason. Davis and James won a championship together and now added Westbrook in the roster, that should make this team better, or maybe let's give them more time to figure out how to do it right and last option is to trade Westbrook whom I'm sure other teams would also be more interested on him. For the topic here about MVP, I think it's too early to discuss. In most cases, weekly power rankings always changed. If we see someone who is able to maintain their stand at the weekly race until the All-Star break, then we can somehow predict who will be the possible MVP this season.

Just enough for the Miami Heat to win and cover the spread of -2.5 because they only won by 3 points. Butler, Lowry, and Herro were solid in that game, Herro might really win the 6th man of the year award. I'm also thinking that same, Herro has now embrace his role of coming from the bench. And he really contribute big when his three point and then playing good defense early on Clarkson. I guess he really wanted to take Clarkson because he wanted to be the Sixth Man for this year. Although the score was close in the end, Miami built a commanding lead and they are also one team that is good in the 4th specially if they have a good lead. Good win for the Heat and enough to cover the spread. If that last shot went it, this game could have gone to OT and it will be more exciting, but it's still good as Miami was able to win at home which is very important especially in the playoffs. Clarkson struggles in this game but Mitchell was really unstoppable, unfortunately, it's not enough to help his team to win. |

The kid is now gaining confidence at every game. Since the start of the season, Steve Kerr puts him as one of the starters for 8 consecutive games now. There's also an improvement in his playing compared to the last 2 seasons at the Warriors. He's now 2nd in the team with the highest PPG surpassing Andrew Wiggins. The kid has the potential to become a new face of the franchise. He just needs to be consistent and puts up a high-level performance especially if they are up against a much strong team. I think the Warriors should get rid of Wiggins, once Thompson will return, they are full-pack with shooters and they might not need Wiggins who is very inconsistent. The warriors are doing pretty well but in the playoffs, I'm sure they need to be better because it's a series of games and adjustments are necessary, also they need to improve their defense, so trading Wiggins for a player that could help them improve their defense, I think that's a + for the Warriors. They haven't thought of trading Wiggins, they like him in the roster so there's no issue whether he is underperforming or not, but his effort surely gives contribution to the good start of the Warriors.
