3801  Economy / Speculation / Re: get a loan and reinvest it on: March 19, 2021, 12:19:07 PM
Not a good idea. I have known that feature but didn't tried it even one time because it is too risky. Risky in a way that you don't hold the coins you're going to lend.

That interest might be a good profit for you. But holding it with peace and no worry will make your decision better and lesser stress.
3802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter hackers pleads guilty and agree to a 3 year in prison on: March 19, 2021, 10:35:09 AM
That's a short term jail time for him. During the past years, when there were hackings like this but don't involve a scam, they were hiring and taking the hacker into the company that has been hacked. But in this case, it has scam involved so I do not think that even Twitter will take him.

But that doesn't change the fact that this kid has hijacked Twitter and accounts that were affected are not normal accounts but from prominent people of the society and can be classified as premium.
3803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Get NBS off of Binance - United States former customer on: March 19, 2021, 08:22:23 AM
There are plenty of exchanges that supports it if you can't trade it on Binance. Although, I am not aware about the other exchanges if you are allowed to trade it knowing that you're from the US. But it is not going to hurt you by giving it a try.

3804  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustadice – Next Generation Dice on: March 19, 2021, 07:17:15 AM
I wanted to share my latest experience with bustadice with everyone here. I played for about a week and I liked it; I got a small but decent profit and tested a withdrawal that was sent, like advertised, within 24 hours. I wasn't able to do any scripting but betting manually with hotkeys is fast.
I may come back as an investor as I trust RHavar a lot. The guy doubled a donation to a charity I made long ago.

I am glad that you had a good experience playing at bustadice for a week and enjoyed it.

Good luck and keep on dicing as you become an investor soon.
3805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic IV on: March 18, 2021, 04:01:58 PM
No need to panic. Bitcoin has always been bouncing back after it drops. And for the alts, the most noticeable lately is ADA.

Because of the news that Coinbase Pro listed it.

3806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: March 18, 2021, 11:55:18 AM
That's what needed for one to feel, to be satisfied upon selling a portion of their holdings.
Specially for OP that he only wanted to feel the selling chance and nothing more , it wasn't about the profit or anything but the feeling.
Well, count the profit for that reason because the price is good when he had sold. Unlike the others who did it and was caused of panic, they're regretting it now.

Quote
As long as you're happy and you know what you did at the current price which doesn't hit you mentally, that's what needed for you to look at. You're good and you can just buy it again which is part of what you've said and that's a good strategy.
He has not plan using the amount for even trading , that is solely selling chance is what he wanted.
For the record, he had said it that he's going to buy again if it dips.

Quote
There were many that sold theirs and don't plan to buy back those sold bitcoins that they've done. You sell some and hold more.
Lol that is only for Bounty hunters , in which selling their coins because that is all they wanted and not like OP in which Holder and the intention to sell is that the feeling only.
I don't get where you got the idea that it's only the bounty hunters who do that.
3807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano Price Predictions For End Of 2021 on: March 18, 2021, 08:51:33 AM
How much is your gain in Ada right now that it has moved more than $1? I think that you have posted it on the wrong section.
Well Asking about ADA profit , I bought  back when the price is 21 cents and now that the price increased to 1 dollar and 21 cents so i almost gain 5 folds.
Congrats to you, are you planning to sell it now that you've made a lot from it? or you're going to keep on holding it and will wait for a better price before selling?

But for OP? i think he must add more now before the value go high to 2 dollars as speculations says constantly.
Quote
To be in correct section about speculation of Ada and other altcoins to continue discussions about it, it is on Speculation(Altcoins).
Agreed this is in the wrong section , Altcoin speculation is the place for this one.
Is that your plan of selling? you're going to wait until it reaches $2. Well, that's a very easy price to be reached and just a few more cents and ADA is likely to get on it if there will be no slips and bigger corrections that would come on it.
3808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 55% of bitcoin circulating supply have not moved since 2018 on: March 18, 2021, 07:28:32 AM
But what if bitcoin hits $100k? we will know if those wallets won't move a single bitcoin and will keep on holding it.

I think, real hodlers won't even care of $100k as they know the potential of bitcoin. If bitcoin hits 100k, all those wallet will be on more than 27x  within 3 years. Than, everyone can imagine where it'll go in the next 5 years, even there is a major possibility of a bear market.
Probably they won't and they'll aim to the next level which is going to be $1M. But $100k is already a high price to be considered of the price for taking profits and they're likely to do that but as we say, we'll know or we'll never know.

But at the end, bitcoin's movement will uptrend as it's never disappointed any hodlers ,even anyone buy it at the top pick on any bull run.
Yes, those people who buys at the peak and keep on holding it will definitely have no worries if the plan is to hold long term.
3809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 55% of bitcoin circulating supply have not moved since 2018 on: March 17, 2021, 10:53:27 AM
If that's an accurate data, it is still known that many are not wanting to sell even if we're on the ATH. In that case, those wallets that haven't been touch for so long, the owners of it have the plan to hold for long term.

But what if bitcoin hits $100k? we will know if those wallets won't move a single bitcoin and will keep on holding it.
3810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play fewer hands to earn more strategy - Poker on: March 17, 2021, 09:16:48 AM
Don't bluff every time and don't reveal your strategy about when you are about to bluff because in poker you actually need to make your opponents Believe that you are having high cards than others. Bluff should be random and even people who won by doing it when they have no combination of cards just because their opponents gave up.
That's okay if you're bluffing and you have a certain strategy. Just don't do make yourself obvious when you're about to bluff. Don't make any sign even if you do it from time to time.

Just make sure that you're not too obvious when you do it. Because when you do, they will not be scared of going against you when you and a few are remaining in the table. You can do it from time to time or any random time, just combine it and for sure the other players on the table will be confused.
Bluffing is a great strategy but as a poker player it is important to not over do it and no change of expression when doing it, if you watched the casino royale movie then you might noticed it but the opponent used it as advantage against bond in a particular bet.
You can do it as much as you can. And changing of expression can also help to scare the other guys on the table which will make them hesitant to think if you are bluffing or not.

Movies are movies and it is different in real life. I have seen guys do that in tournaments and real life table plays.

There is no point in selling your coins, if you plan to purchase them back at some point in the future. Because despite temporary fluctuations, the long term trend for Bitcoin is always positive. That means, if you are selling your coins then in all probability you'll be purchasing them back at a higher price. On the other hand, if you want to do profit booking, then it is OK. At one point or the other, we need to sell a part of our holdings in order to cash out. There is no point in not spending some of the coins, as long as you have enough holdings for the future.
I think you do not understand the point of selling and buying it back at lower price. The point that op was telling is that when the price goes down after taking profit, that is the time he's going to buy.

And what you are telling about selling a part of holdings and telling that it has no point in selling contradicts each other

3814  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could be in for a very long sustained bull market on: March 16, 2021, 01:18:59 PM
That's how it's expected to move. It won't be the same most of the time that we get to see a $1k-$2k increase per day, there will be those days that there won't be that much motion at all or instead, it's the price that keeps on falling.

It's not always that we get to read news about institutions buying and fomoing at it. We've peaked at $61k+ and this correction could lead to another pump up to $65k-$70k.
3815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site for esport? on: March 16, 2021, 12:03:44 PM
yeah i remember back in 2019 when this gambling site OneHash is conducting Signature campaign almost every other month for one month run.
But since 2020 and up to now , they are missing in action .

Maybe they are not interested in luring people here in Bitcointalk.org anymore and instead they are targeting people outside here?
I don't see any other advertisement that they do outside the forum. Whatever is the reason, we won't know it unless they come on this thread or on their thread and tell voluntarily why they don't haven't done it again after a long time.

The outside world is vast and if they see a need to reinvent through other types of marketing, it's all on them. Just as the other casinos do just to gain more users and potentially loyal customers.

It is now being traded on Binance. Before it was only those stakers can get it so they've got the advantage. But now, it's tradable on Binance and other exchanges like HBTC and Uniswap.

3817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: March 16, 2021, 10:02:11 AM
I'm not saying that everyone should hold bitcoin. I'm saying that it's for everyone which means to say that anyone can own it, anyone can hold it as they wish.

It's not the point of saying that bitcoin is everyone and everyone "must" buy it and invest on it. What I'm saying is that, regardless of your age, your occupation, your gender, your ethnicity, your belief, it can be used by everyone just like having money and any asset that we wish to have.
I agree with you Bitcoin is for everyone not just for HODLers everyone is free to invest and do what they want with their crypto.
It doesn't matter if they are short term or long term investor there isn't a rule that says we couldn't sell it when we need it or we couldn't be a short term investor.
Everyone has their own choice of investment just like how they handle their life.
Yes and that's why it's very much for everyone but many are stopping to invest and look at it because they're only looking at the price. As usual, every year and every time they look at it, you'll mostly hear them say that it's not cheap.

It's expensive to buy and they're too late to invest. The excuse that you'll hear them say from every price. When it was $500, they said it's expensive. When it dipped to $3,000, it's expensive. And now that we're above $50,000, still the same excuse. And once it goes $100,000 and above, again, the same words.
3818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site for esport? on: March 16, 2021, 08:36:27 AM
That can be the reason why they stopped or it's about the volume that they're getting and it's no longer enough to support the bookie so, they decided to dive into another venture for most casino games.
I doubt you can cheat on the odds since they still get a 5% cut no matter what their players bet on and even if you do get better odds it's very easy to turn it around knowing the volumes aren't that high. I think it's safe to say the volume is the main issue since the parimutuel style of betting isn't that common in crypto sportsbooks compared to the fiat and skin betting sportsbooks. Also it's really discouraging to make a bet when you see low volumes on most of the matches they offer and that only hinders the growth of their sportsbook so you can't blame them for pulling the plug after a few years.
That's very noticeable and why they've not become a popular sportsbook in the market and also in the forum, although some really knew them that they're made as a bookie.

When I bet there, the volume really isn't great and encouraging but that's how it goes. Even with small bets since it's mutual betting but anyway, good luck to their future business.
3819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: March 15, 2021, 08:42:44 PM
Bitcoin is for everyone. Anyone can hold and sell it at their will. Anyone who owns it has the full authority whether to sell it or hold it for long term just as what we do, we hold it.

But that doesn't mean that it is only specific for holders. It is free to be held and owned by anyone regardless of the plan he has while owning it.
No, not for everyone because if that is the reality, all of us now are holding Bitcoin but the majority are still ignoring Bitcoin and calling it a scam. And you can't tell that those poor people will have to risk their money here because it surely they don't.

And not all who knows Bitcoin also are holders, they often dump sell their Bitcoin once the price goes down.

For me, Bitcoin is only for the risk-takers either be a holder or not. We have the freedom to hold or to sell it, it is our own investment, we can do anything if we want to.

Check it out and most of the games you'll find out that are active are casino games. They have various games and even live virtual sports but esports have been removed.

And with their signature campaign, it's been a long time since they've conducted one in the forum. We don't know if they'll run one again in the future.
Interesting why they stopped sports betting services, I have heard there are players who were taking advantage of the wrong odds and things like that with bitcoin sports betting since most of the sites don't require KYC so they can just cheat and run away and make new accounts to scam again. I wonder if that was the reason why they stopped sports betting, players cheated them too much I mean maybe. As for the signature campaign, I don't think it is much of a concern since not site spends the marketing funds in the same manner for a long time.
I don't have an idea about that issue, when I've visited them that's a surprise to see that there's no more sports and esports to bet on their casino.

That can be the reason why they stopped or it's about the volume that they're getting and it's no longer enough to support the bookie so, they decided to dive into another venture for most casino games.
