3821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Technical Analysis for 19/3/2015 – Rebound Likely on: March 19, 2015, 02:12:55 PM
What do you think of newsbtc's technical analysis?
Does it have basis for us to believe?
http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/03/19/bitcoin-price-technical-analysis-for-1932015-rebound-likely/

I don't think nothing, it is only an "useless" opinion. As the other forum users said : no one can predict how much the bitcoin price will arrive, it is only a supposition. No one can predict the future, this is obvious ... isn't it?
3822  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What Do You Think Of Fitcoin? on: March 19, 2015, 02:06:00 PM
Think of it the other way.

Bitcoin people are unhealthy and is always in front of the computer right?
So, forget bout incentive and think about health.  Wink

You are right but I think a lot of people think more about "money" than "health". So if there isn't an incentive no one (or only a little group of person) will play for gain some of "health".

PS: fantastic phrase 'he was able to generate 5 cents in equivalent bitcoin payments.'
3823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please no more merchant adoption!! on: March 19, 2015, 01:53:46 PM
Well if it's a merchant who doesn't dump their bitcoins every time the price drops a fraction of a percent, i say why not?

Then in that case, the merchant understood the real concept of bitcoin. If him keep the bitcoin he will can spend them on another online merchant or maybe (why not?) a physical store. It's called "a peer-to-peer electronic cash system" the merchant is a normal thing.
3824  Economy / Economics / Re: Deep Web Drug Market Disappeared Overnight, $12 Million in Bitcoin Missing on: March 19, 2015, 01:47:46 PM
Multi sig is pointless if you're not one of the parties involved. If the owners are saying they all have multi sig on the funds then you're still just trusting them that they're all not going to conspire to run off with the funds together so it's meaningless really.
Yes of course, a real multiSig address should involve 2 or more "person". If one person (like the admin of evolution) know all the private keys of the address then in that case it is very useless to have a multiSig address (just my opinion).

According to the article they did have a multi sig wallet (at least thats what they described) But they could have just been lying about that I guess.

Who cares more darknets dye hopefully less will pop up. Just sucks that there isn't even any honor among thieves these days with bitcoins

There is not any honor in a Darkweb marketplace, that is selling illega stuff (this is obvious) or am I wrong?
3825  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What Do You Think Of Fitcoin? on: March 19, 2015, 01:39:10 PM
Exercise and earn?
http://bitforum.info/t/workout-and-get-paid-with-bitcoin-through-fitcoin-app/536

For me its the best app ever. You know, bitcoin fans face the computer a lot, maybe with Fitcoin it encourage them to exercise more.
Might be funny, but I think it would work.

I will try it maybe if it will be available for android.

Really interesting, but I don't know if it is all 100% sustainable. As I read in the yahoo article:

"When you sync your band to the Fitcoin app and start your workout, it’ll automatically begin recording the length of your activity and the level of your heart rate. The algorithm within the app then triangulates those stats to determine how much energy you’re expending, and ultimately, how much that’s worth in Bitcoin."

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/this-app-pays-you-in-bitcoin-based-on-the-113689371979.html

I didn't try the app, but I think it is a very "successful" applied idea.
3826  Other / Meta / Re: Account Banned without any reason provided on: March 19, 2015, 11:21:06 AM
I don't know if you are actually participating in a discussion or trying to increase post count and thus, payment. This is same with admins. They can't know either. So you should put more effort in posting. Honestly, your posts looks spammy to me. Smiley

Ok, if that is it, which it isn't. Then the admin is supposed to let me know about it.
I have sent messages to the admins but haven't got a reply yet.

And its easy to say a post is spam, if you consider it after being banned. But they aren't. And it was permanently banned which makes it seem the spamming wasn't the reason.

If the seller's other account got banned so will be yours. You took that risk when you bought it.

I checked, his account hasn't been banned.

Maybe the reason is another one, and not only the sig ad that you are wearing. I think the signature campaign "will be" banned in the next few month (because it is impossible to stop the spammer and who make insubstantial posts ).
3827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if you wanted to stop Bitcoin? on: March 19, 2015, 11:06:05 AM
I will do nothing, because it is impossible to stop bitcoin (only if all the miners shut down their hardware machine). Can you stop a wave? Can buy all the air? I think the reply will be , no I cannot. Bitcoin will succeed because it is the best alternative for the moment (much better than the actual economic system).

3829  Other / New forum software / Re: New rank? on: March 19, 2015, 05:57:09 AM
The current highest rank here is Legendary with 775-1030 activity points to achieve. Perhaps we can have a higher rank at like 1300-1400 points? Like 'History Maker' or 'Part of Bitcoin History' etc.?
It's just a suggestion. You can take or not take it.

Maybe it would be a good idea, but the range should be more random (more than the actual legendary).
3830  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Problema con blockchain.info on: March 18, 2015, 07:38:36 PM
Bene. grazie a tutti ragazzi.

3831  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum - Multi Signature wallet ? on: March 18, 2015, 07:17:41 PM
The purpose of a multiSig address is that you sould "store" some bitcoin with your partner for (example) a project or a contract, if you know all the private key then it is no sense to have a multiSig address 2 of 3 (better a simple address with a single private key).
3832  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: What's your offer for this hero account on: March 18, 2015, 07:05:09 PM
Well, there is no trust among people here, I'm just try to sell my account and that makes me a account thief, never mind, I will probably give up this sale. Have a good day everyone.

I asked only if you can sign a message, not to post here a message (or send me a PM). A simple question for a simple answer, and it seems you are so "provident". Have a great day.

PS: I suggest you to close this thread ( Lock topic , left side in the bottom of the page).
3833  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: What's your offer for this hero account on: March 18, 2015, 06:24:18 PM
account details: registered in 2013 , Activity 500+, 3K posts , no avatar, with one posivte trusted feedback from member who on the default trust list.

Want to know your offer first before I decide to sell it or not.

Before an offer I think the majority of users want to know if you can sign a message from a bitcoin address posted here in the forum, as proof of ownership.
3834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins strong bullish signs and efforts just got rekt, again. on: March 18, 2015, 06:15:15 PM
I hope to see these exchange closed very soon, the future is not "centralized" and we need a new type of exchange  peer-to-peer (the basic). Like the mercury "wallet" but it is still in the alpha version. I suggest you to read this thread :

- Exchanges: their way of using a fractional-reserve and generate inflation.

Aren't you advertising an exchange yourself in your signature? Well it's still very difficult to have a decentralised exchange for FIAT, since that is by definition centralised.

LOL

redsn0w got caught red-handed! One of those people whose motto is "Do as I say, do Not do as I do!" Hypocrites!

Read please
Yes , but I don't keep my "bitcoin" in any exchange. When I want to "exchange" some bitcoin for euros or dollars I send them on an exchange, sell them and request my FIAT money (fastly). I know that a lot of users are keeping a lot of bitcoins in the various exchange, and these people cry after an hack attack "stole" their bitcoins.
3835  Other / Meta / Re: CanaryInTheMine is further abusing the trust system [Edit2] on: March 18, 2015, 06:12:31 PM
Also, not that it matters now that CanaryInTheMine has been removed from both level 1 and level 2 default trust (he is 100% out of the default trust network), but it appears that I also have been excluded from his trust list.

It also just so happens that I recently gave FC a negative trust rating saying that he is a scammer (which he is). I wonder if this is somehow related - I don't doubt that it is considering that I have never done any business with him not communicated with him in any way

I also have been removed (because I was in the trust list of CanaryInTheMine) but it doesn't matter. I have left a negative feedback to a lot of suspicious users (revealed scammers). I don't know what is happened with FC, maybe can someone (through PM) explain me what is happen? Thanks.

PM sent
That should help you out a bit with understanding the AM situation.
If you want more details though just PM me back

Thanks for the PM, I will read all the info. and I'll check also the facebook page.

It'll get fixed soon, someone else will pick you up. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=383349 should be a neutral by the way.

I hope, however trust to that account changed (thanks for the heads-up).

It was, but I restored it to the original owner a while ago.

Is theymos_away really theymos?  This is my first time seeing this account.
Yes.

From this account's profile:
Quote
Admin notes:   This account is controlled by theymos, but it is less secure. Do not do business with this account.
I don't think 'normal' users can create an admin note

Yes of course a "normal" user cannot create an admin note, by the way I really like this note when the password is changed (it is really useful) and can prevent a lot of scam attempt.

3838  Other / Meta / Re: Question about Ban Evasion on: March 18, 2015, 03:39:04 PM
It would be the same of course. What is the point of banning permanently if you still allowed to post freely?

25. If you get banned (temporary or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.

then if someone is permanently banned there is no way he can post again anywhere in this forum? or likewise what should the banned person do so that he can post again outside Meta?
Wasn't there an email that you can send your appeal to, directly to theymos?  Or was that for something else?

Yes, in same case there is an "univocal" email for send the appeal to theymos. In other cases there is not the email, so the unique thing to do is open a thread here in the meta section.
3839  Other / Meta / Re: Is GGGGG hacked on: March 18, 2015, 03:27:25 PM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=80240

The above users password was recently reset and it received positive trust from Stewartj who received negative trust from theymos saying that Stewartj is a likely alt of GGGGG that is a stolen account.

Yes I think GGGGG is hacked, because theymos has left a negative feedback to him. So I don't think that theymos was "wrong" but I don't understand the relation with Stewartj.
3840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please no more merchant adoption!! on: March 18, 2015, 03:24:24 PM
It's harming the price. A new merchant comes in then old time bitcoiners start buying stuff.

Joking aside, we need to promote not just merchant adoption but also ways for companies to pay by btc.

Again "Money is a means of payment, not speculation". If you are thinking bitcoin only as "speculation" then I think you are wrong, because we need a lot of more merchants (online and physic) that should accept bitcoin (also) as method of payment (due the lowest fee, respect a bank account or credit card).
