Let's get serious again. I've prepared my first parlay for the next games. I've picked only four games to start with, suggestions are welcomed.
I would like some ideas on Swansea Hull

Man Utd - Southampton over 2,5 goals
Stoke - Man City over 2,5 goals
Burnley - Liverpool Liverpool wins
Swansea - Hull Swansea wins
3822  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: August 18, 2016, 10:24:12 AM
One month has passed but I think we will see the halving effects in the next 3/4 months. I still don't believe some miners can continue with their business with such a small reward.
3823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 17, 2016, 04:31:26 PM
I think Manchester United has no real opponents this season. It seems they have the most solid and skilled team. I think Mourinho has something in mind to win the EPL his way. However, I'd keep an eye on Chelsea

Don't be ridiculous, of course they have opponents this season. Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal & Liverpool can all get involved in the battle for the title.

Man Utd beat Bournemouth & you already think the title is over Grin

Come on man, I'm not looking at a single game, I'm going for the bigger picture. I see a very good team trained by one the best in the market.
I'm no Man Utd supporter, I simply try to look objectively at what they have

Wait after the summer's gone. Accumulate now. You won't regret it

3826  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price cycles on: August 17, 2016, 08:51:11 AM
going back to this thread I must say comparing old charts with recent trends I found quite interesting info. Probably, even without finex hack we would have dropped to these prices. Finex pushed just a bit more.

Waiting for some updates with recent trends

We don't need no random guy. If the 15% of the average smartphone users would start buying and using BTC our beloved coin would go out of the Solar System.

Some stats:
Copay for Android has something like 10.000 downloads
Blockchain.info has something like 100.000 downloads
Coinbase around 500.000 downloads
I expect similar data for IPhone users (can't say, I don't have an Iphone)

Push these numbers to at least 150 M and then you need no random guy to push the price high.

(While searching for those numbers I stumbled upon the >100.000.000 Pokemon Go downloads  Roll Eyes )
3829  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still have time to reach the 21 BTC goal? on: August 16, 2016, 08:58:43 PM
21 BTC only? That's not enough even if I really think in 10/15 years this bitcoin thing will go to the moon for good.
Anyway, I'd say why stopping at 21 BTC?  Smiley
3830  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Dont use Coinbase on: August 16, 2016, 08:40:30 PM
Have you saved any screenshots you can share with all of us? Since most of the people use (and started using) coinbase after bitfinex was hacked it would be good to have some actual proofs.
Can you provide any?
3831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 16, 2016, 08:35:45 PM
Tonight there will be another game which is valid for the third round of the Italian Cup.
Cagliari is going to play against Spal.
I think this is going to be an easy win for Cagliari
For sure it will be.
Cagliari has the "talismano" Padoin!

Yeah, i'm also sure Cagliari can win with many goals at least 3 goals on this match versus Spal. I have bet Cagliari -1.5 and over 2.5 goals for this match.
Certainly cagliari win with the strength of the team they have now has given them promotion to Serie A maybe i would bet up to 5 goals for this match

You got it right! Final score was 5-1 for Cagliari with a very good performance by Borriello, Cagliari's attacker.
My bet was Cagliari to win and over 3.5 goals. Nice one  Wink
3832  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 16, 2016, 08:31:48 PM
When it comes down to it, most of Bitcoin's problems tend to come from the interactions with the fiat system.

~$70 million of their problems came from their oh-so-clever 2-of-3 wallet implementation.
If not for "the fiat system" they wouldn't have a business (which, as I understand it, is exchanging BTC into fiat and back again).

Once you have bitcoins you shouldn't need to go back to the fiat system and all the problems that come with it.

Get real, Elwar.

I am not trying to be argumentative with you, but merely because you are making an attempt to detach yourself from fiat does not justify that others should engage in such efforts to make meaningful attempts in that fiat detachment direction.

Your proposal is just not realistic for a very large majority of folks who are not going to want to put so much of their financial future into bitcoin and such a likely to continue to be volatile situation.

My own attempt to detach from fiat is not just for myself but to prove that it can be done. And it can. My location or the infrastructure around me is a lot more difficult than it is for most people as I am in a foreign country where I do not even speak the language.

Sure, in places without the Internet it may be difficult. I defer to those places alternatives to Bitcoin.

Telling the first people with telephones that people will not want to invest in these expensive devices that can only be used to talk to a few people who also have telephones that they should just stick with the telegraph because a large majority of folks are not going to put up with such large hassle and expense with so few rewards.

Volatility goes away when those majority of people are using Bitcoin. And the fiat system will go the way of the telegraph.

Your point is clear and I think most of us would love to have the same possibility that you are experiencing right now. I mean Bitcoin has proved itself: it simply works. But, as you pointed out, is far from being recognized for what it is and what it could do.
I hope it's only a matter of time when people like you (us) will not be threatened by TPTB for having rich such a financial independence.

My bet for Chelsea - West Ham is a mix of Double Chance and under/over
I'm going to bet on
Home/Draw + Over 1.5

I'm sure Chelsea will win but I want to try it differently
bookmakers need to becareful everybody choose chelsea moneyline as their bet.

yesterday i have seen the odds for chelsea moneyline are @1.65 to @1.7 but today it is decreased to 1.5 wow , this is a good odds for a sure win i am very confident! i wish there no unexpected thing happened like a red card for chelsea?

As you saw mine resulted in a perfect combo. I did not bet much since it was just the beginning but I bet enough to make some good profit.
In my case after 1-1 I was already enjoying my win.
3834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: August 15, 2016, 09:07:01 AM
I mostly bet on football. I like to follow it and why not placing some bets on the teams/games I feel confident?
I don't gamble much, I would say is more like a hobby. I won good money but I don't want to become rich like that also because that'll never happen.

Bet only if you enjoy it, don't bet to become rich. You'll lose everything.
3835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 15, 2016, 08:56:17 AM
I picked Chelsea to win straight moneyline option for @1.54 ML. I don't think West Ham can defeat Chelsea. Chelsea will have a good start after beating West Ham badly in new season of Premier league. West Ham was impressive in friendly matches but can not be relayed on when we are going for serious matches.
Yes I totally agree this is way I've decided to pick a different bet for Chelsea - West Ham even if I'm sure Chelsea is going to win. But I'm telling you I am also very confident regarding my bet. Good luck Wink
3836  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-08-14] July Bitcoin Price Report: Confidence Hits 2016 Highs Amid Halving on: August 15, 2016, 08:39:04 AM
Bitcoin prices experienced some notable price fluctuations in July, pushing higher as anticipation surrounding the halving drove bullish sentiment.

In spite of ups and downs over the 30-day period, bitcoin volatility fell significantly in July. By the end of July, 30-day realized volatility had declined to 27%, compared to 30% at the end of June.

Arthur Hayes, CEO of leveraged trading platform BitMEX, said that the decline in this key metric likely had both positive and negative effects on the market.

On advice of monkey I am short btcusd over the coming month or so.

Looking at recent trends I'm sorry to admit that your monkey friend might be right.
I would say let the summer pass and we shall see at the beginning of September what will happen.
