I wonder if those who are opening short positions right now are aware that GBTC is currently at 50 USD per share.
Do they think that this is not going to affect the Bitcoin exchange rate?
if people don't see it being reflected in the price the anwer is no. gbtc price is way over priced and doesn't represent current value.

My opinion is it will be $1 or $1000
Why do people think so small? Your idea of success is a mere 1000? If bitcoin is shown to be able to survive and go mainstream, at least 30k. Could possibly have reached 6 figures at one point. he is being realistic. you are not. how can you think bitcoin will reach $100k one day? that really is beyond insane. stop dreaming.

Cryptsy.
In spite of all the complaints this is one which was never hacked or lost any deposits.
them never publicly stating that they have been hacked doesn't mean that they haven't been hacked. for an exchange it is very simple to hide it.

i buy sometimes small things from dinodirect with bitcoin. but now i am holding so i can buy a smartphone very soon with bitcoin.

28k after a bubble pop at 120k in 2018
stop trolling. $120K won't happen. never. it won't even go above $28k. there are way too many dreamers at this point. it's hillarious.

like most people i would sell like 20-50% and the rest i will hold it for a very long time. better safe than sorry. don't want to stay behind when it reaches a few $k

Does anyone know what the highest tx fee reward has been for a single block? Fat fingered manually entered fee glitches aside.
I have seen miners getting 1+ bitcoin as a miner's fee. However I've never seen more than like 1.3+btc as a fee. i have been reading about people by mistake included a fee of 60btc? not sure how much exactly but is was a lot for sure.

my guess is max $2000 but not much higher. but it's too early to talk about +$1000 while $500 looks like million miles away.

I prefer this graphic ... rising value ! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fimagizer.imageshack.us%2Fa%2Fimg910%2F6553%2FWTGgIU.jpg&t=663&c=3DqeGIGrMsNK_w) Yep! It's all about context on how "good" it looks there are also other ways of looking at that chart. it's called the look of the bear. they would draw a very different line for sure.

i am contributing to the network with my node that has been running for 1.5 months already. people should do so if they have a vps or dedicated server that they barely use.

of course bitcoin will still be around. it's getting stronger and stronger. my guess for the longterm is a price of max $2000 before 2020

why people think that bitcoin is in the way to die/collapse or whatever, because of the recent dump?, did you know that adoption is much bigger now than it ever was for bitcoin? there is no reason why bitcoin should collapse now instead of collapsing, let's say in 2012 or even 2013
price matter until a certain point, there are other factor to take in consideration, before you scream some death sentences...
people only see what they want to see. with a low price there are loads of bitcoin will fail nonsense threads. that shows how little their knowledge about bitcoin is. or they are bears.

1. buying bitcoin needs to be much easier than it is now. 2. we must be able to pay in retail stores around the world in every sort of store. 3. banks and law must change their unfriendly policy towards bitcoin. 4. getting rid of current exchanges and only use something like a stock exchange with the same security etc.

i'm sure most people here would love such movie, but the fact is that there need to be a very decent amount of money to be invested. demand for such movie outside the bitcoin community is low.

Any one can try to kill bitcoin , but no one can success. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) at this point it's not even worth it. not big enough. but that might change in the future when the market cap reaches a new ath.

big guys shorted bitcoin at around $300 and others will or might do it now. that's the difference. they know exactly when to short and buy the coins back at 20% discount.

the market has been unsure for quite a long time. can't really see this change any time soon. even when it does breach the $250 barrier a dump will bring it back down to where it was.

cyprus had no impact on bitcoin. it was pure coincedence. greece bankruptcy will also not have an impact on bitcoin as there are safer ways of getting money out of the country.
I wouldn't necessarily call it a coincidence. I very much doubt that a single Cypriot got involved but it could well have inspired people who were already into BTC to go deeper into it. It's exactly the type of situation it's best suited for in theory and they would've gotten all excited. i understand your point. and yes that might have been playing a certain role in the peak at that time. but it didn't last while the problems in cyprus and other countries were getting worse.

you can invest in a btc talk account that can get other btc with a signature campaign.
or maybe you can make some "buy and sell" with high skill sector (like stamps, coins, medals etc) and try to get some returns in shorts times.
Invest in signature campaign is really low risk investment ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Most of signature campaigns in Bitcointalk are trusted and good payment ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) investing in an account to join sig campaign is quite risk friendly indeed. but the payouts are quite small unless you're a very active poster. some people make hundreds of posts per week which is insane.

exchanges connect your identity to your coins. for that reason it's higly recommended to get rid of your marked coins and get clean coins in return.
