Can you share what your current first name is ?
I assume you don't like it?? And that is why you are changing it, so its probably a good one to share :p ??

BTW... Why Alwin ?? Or am I missing something ?

Jonathan. I haven't liked it since I was in elementary school. I shortened it to Jon in the early years, then John up until 2008 for aesthetics.

I requested a spiritual name change and was told Alwin, meaning 'noble friend', and it hilariously turned up in my ancestry later on. I forget the exact relation... I need to look in my dad's database.

I guess he has some sort of affinity for Germans!

Alwin is a German form of Alvin and may refer to:
source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alwin

German affinity? Not really, other than some DNA. Japanese affinity, absolutely, which is why I can't see regretting Satoshi as a middle name.

Something I found that will save some money...

https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=201720180SB179
"(5) If the petition for a change of name is sought in order to conform the petitioner’s name to the petitioner’s gender identity, the action for a change of name is exempt from the requirement for publication of the order to show cause under this subdivision."

I was planning to switch my driver's license gender to non-binary when I renew/convert it to REAL ID in 2020 anyway, but this will eliminate the "$65 to publish order to show cause for 4 weeks in a newspaper" in the budget & I will pay the "$27 to change CA driver's license" since I need to pay that anyway. So that mainly leaves the San Diego, CA Superior Court filing fee (still $435 Effective August 1, 2018), $? certified copy (or 2 certified copies?) of Decree of Name Change, and $23 to change birth certificate per https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CHSI/CDPH%20Document%20Library/ADA_Court%20order%20name%20change%20(01-18).pdf (not optional, required to change name on REAL ID driver's license). I've mostly filled out the 5 court forms, so they will just need a legal review before I sign/date them.

Eventually all the criminals in Detroit will be pacified or flee for "fuck civil rights, gun control!" jurisdictions. Then the newer Detroit residents will laugh their asses off at your lack of foresight.

he was trying to off someone while sipping on small soy latte in starbucks somewhere.

If this is true, why haven't charges been filed against him for attempting to solicit murder?
He has been. It is a separate case that will take place in MD where the guy who was the middle man for a large coke (I think it was coke) purchase that turned out to be a sting. I believe this trial is going to be after the SR related trial.

I think DPR is even more nefarious than Walter White.

Let us compare the body counts of the fictional characters "The Dread Pirate Roberts" (multiple successors) and Walter White (one man).

Pretty hard to claim LEOs who stand idly by during civil rights violations and don't break the blue code are "innocent".

Not like they have to worry about Mr. Ed turning state's evidence.
3834  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying a house with bitcoin on: August 29, 2014, 08:01:36 PM
I'll be depressed until the day 1 btc can buy you one house
It can! Have a look in Detroit.
This technically isn't true. Even if you were to buy the house as an asset for $500 (~1 BTC) you would first have to pay a lot more then that in order to make the house habitable. You would also have the increased tax payments to the state and local tax authority that you would likely need to pay if you were to move from out of state and have the same income. Not to mention the likely medical bills from the increased chances of getting mugged and the replacement costs of your assets that would have a much greater chance of getting stolen.

Considering you can actually defend yourself in Detroit, I don't think being a mugging victim (as opposed to an attempted mugging victim) is that big of a threat.
It is generally not a good idea to try to defend yourself against a mugger that has any kind of a weapon. If someone is willing to pull a gun or a knife on you then they might as well be willing to use it against you. If you give them what you want then the worst that will generally happen is they will get whatever valuables you have on your person at the time.

“Studies that directly assessed the effect of actual defensive uses of guns (i.e., incidents in which a gun was ‘used’ by the crime victim in the sense of attacking or threatening an offender) have found consistently lower injury rates among gun-using crime victims compared with victims who used other self-protective strategies,” the CDC study, entitled “Priorities For Research to Reduce the Threat of Firearm-Related Violence,” states.

Guns are valuable, so rather than be murdered or maimed after complying, I would prefer to give my gun to them, bullets first.

Season 14 Episode 109 Show #2718 aired Mar 12, 2007.

Can't fucking find it anywhere in HQ.

Can you get me a video?

CBS and Worldwide Pants Incorporated do not provide copies of past shows or segments. Dave's production company, Worldwide Pants, owns the copyright to Late Show episodes. They don't mind if fans trade segments among themselves.

I get video requests every few days, and have helped people with segments many times, at no charge. I have 540 hours on tape from 5,800 hours of episodes. I almost never record musical acts. I have digital captures of very recent episodes, but you can get them from the Late Show web site.

I'll be happy to check my Late Night and Late Show episode logs to get you the date and episode number, and make you a video if I can, but I will not give you contact information for other fans.

Email button towards the bottom of that page.

Check this out, http://www.eggify.com/real-estate/houses-apartments-for-rent
It has a listing of Apartments to rent near San Fran in which landlords accept Bitcoin.

Thank you! That's a good list there. Not certain if any of those will quite look, but I'll keep my eye on Eggify.

You should stay out of San Fran unless you only want to be able to defend yourself with harsh language and self-urination.

Don't forget, nudity. That might be enough to turn most people away.
