3821  Economy / Economics / Re: This shows Putin got the costs of aggression wrong on: March 01, 2022, 11:21:11 AM
I do not understand how Russia could still stand, I was expecting 1 dollar to become 500+ ruble by this time. Putin will use this wrongfully to show how "strong" they are, I am afraid it will end up badly.
I think it already ended up badly? Like I was sure Putin was trusting of how strong their army was, but well, results show that it really wasn't any stronger. From what I read about how it was described, it was something like a paper tiger. Putin probably overestimated his side and underestimated the other side. Pretty sure this war has brought nothing but losses to Putin's side probably contrary to his earlier expectations for the results of his assault.

Russia is probably gonna experience a huge shift after this, and most likely in a negative way.

Agreed, at first, I didn't think economic sanctions would have much of an impact because, as far as we can tell, they are extremely powerful. However, this is only true for those armies that are currently suffering economically, and we can expect them to struggle as a result. I'm not sure if they'll be able to recover economically from their war with Ukraine because most countries have banned them. I am seeing a lot of assistance from other countries to Ukraine right now. I'm hoping that Putin will put a stop to this right now.
3822  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 01, 2022, 10:32:11 AM
I support this type of support because it is similar to showing support to Ukraine, which we can see now that there are a lot of people doing things like donating bitcoin to them to help them with the finances. As gamblers, we could do this, but it still depends because there are gamblers who only depend on those gambling platforms, which leads to them having to switch to a new gambling site, which I am not sure if it is difficult for them, but as my self, I would say that it is not difficult for since i am playing to other websites.
3823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The way things are going with new crypto is worrisome on: February 28, 2022, 04:35:34 AM
Almost everyone I knew now creates their own tokens  Grin these guys aren't even crypto developers to begin with, they have no coding experience or knowledge now this makes me worry, imagine how many crypto tokens that are created by inexperienced personal, I think we need to buckle up for there will be huge rain of scam tokens upon us than what we've seen before...... Sigh! I wish that only few qualified people knew how to build blockchain projects.

Yeah, this is going to turn into a scam. A lot of developers have already created coins in the hopes that someone will fund them; however, they are all serious developers who understand the importance of creating a coin but have refrained from doing so because they recognize that it would be a huge burden on them and they do not have the funds to do so. Now, those who are inexperienced are almost certainly creating it for the purpose of scamming, as evidenced by the large number of scam coins and the fact that the whitepaper is a sham that they did not prepare.
3824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Overthink Potential of Bitcoin on: February 28, 2022, 04:24:21 AM
I think that the expectation is based on some hype and prediction commented on by many influencers and also crypto enthusiasts previously. I personally also feel the same, overestimate the price of Bitcoin to reaches at least $100k. I have been imagining the profits that I can earn if the BTC price really hits the rate.
but unfortunately, the rate will not happen this year. The market is still chasing moreover because of the war and also other bad condition.

There's nothing wrong with it, but I do need some time to think about it because a lot of people are now thinking about the huge price, which we could say is absolutely possible, but the price is absolutely enormous, right? and it takes time to arrive at that conclusion. I believe this is the reason why there are so many people who post about bitcoin when the price drops, because they always expect the price to rise in the next few days. Well, I believe that we should begin to refrain from overanalyzing the situation in order to reduce our concerns about the price.
3825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to be investing in Bitcoin? on: February 27, 2022, 02:43:14 PM
Hi everyone I was wondering if the overall Russian-Ukraine situation in Bitcoin is now pretty low, will it soar if the whole war is resolved again? What is your opinion? Thank you.
believe me, the war between russia and ukraine did not have such a big impact on the price of bitcoin. Indeed, investors' fears are very reasonable, it's just that at this low price, it is a very good opportunity to buy Bitcoin. this year the price of Bitcoin has not touched ATH, it will definitely happen, maybe in the next few months.

No, it is also due to the economic crisis; it is affected in the same way that stocks and forex are, but bitcoin typically falls in this month. It is a good time to buy right now or, in my opinion, at any time as long as you have money to invest because bitcoin has a bright future and is a good investment. However, the price now is not too low, and what I see is that it will stabilize in this price before regaining momentum.
3826  Economy / Economics / Re: Who gain's from War ? on: February 26, 2022, 08:39:49 AM
This is typically profitable only for those who deal in weapons. Each and every one of us is in pain. Although it may appear that they have already obtained the land, a large number of people have died on it. As a result, no one will be victorious after the war. They are only wealthy because they manufacture the items required for war. As a result of the current situation, which affects people all over the world, hopes are high that peace talks will be successful; however, I believe this is an unrealistic expectation.
3827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I can't access a casino while my country isn't got blacklisted? on: February 24, 2022, 05:56:22 PM
You can ask the casino support team to know whether they allow the usage of VPN or not and also in their ANN of bitcointalk if they have one. Just because many people doing it also not facing any issues at all doesn't mean we can also commit the same mistake and get our money back at any time.
Asking the casino support team is the right decision to know the VPN usage, and we need to make sure about that. The casino can do anything with their members, including freezing their account if the casino thinks we do something suspicious or break their T&C. Hopefully, we all not have a problem with any casinos now or in the future to play gambling comfortably.

This is truly the best, but it is still recommended that you read their Terms of Service because some of the support will state that VPNs are prohibited, but if you ask another support, they will state that they are not. I'm not sure if they are aware of the situation, but reading their terms of service and looking for some sort of anonymity keyword or VPN so that you can confirm it was not allowed was. Gambling is still prohibited in a number of countries due to religious beliefs or other negative consequences, but as you can see, the majority of countries are allowing it because it generates significant tax revenue for the government.
3828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 05:08:00 PM
If he had a gambling addiction he would have gone bankrupt a long time ago. If he is still a millionaire then he is in good control of himself and his money. I could be wrong, but it seems to me more and more that his winnings are a kind of advertising campaign aimed at attracting new users to Stake.com. If that's the case then it turned out to be a very successful campaign so talk of him winning has been going on and on.

That would be really true. I think that Drake also has his own financial manager or people who would organize his assets, advise him stay in his limitations and the likes. And if this is just an advertising stunt then they really did a good job because the name of stake has been loud ever since Drake came into the scene.

Yeah, as most of the people have stated, it is simply a sponsored , and he used his own money to participate. I am confident that half or a significant portion of the money will be returned to him as a talent fee, even though he won, the event still generates a great deal of publicity. This is a really good strategy right now because it works for everyone and attracts users because they are using big celebrities. In regards to that financial manager, he does indeed have one, and they do, in a sense, control the money he has.
3829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World War III & Bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 04:37:54 PM
War between russia and ukraine has a great impact on the price of bitcoin. Crypto currency is a international market. So, when wars start first the stock market goes down. Peoples sell off their stocks. And that's a reason bitcoin price fell down in last few days. Now price of bitcoin is near 35000$. Many analyst says that price of bitcoin will fall more if war will not stop. I pray that war between russia and ukraine will stop.

I believe this is true not only in cryptocurrency, but in all aspects of currency. Right now, the forex market, the stock market, and cryptocurrency markets are all in the red or down. Stock trading has also been halted in the Russian Federation. As you can see, the Dow is down 35%, which is similar to 2014, and experts predict that it will be surpassed by 2015. If the war comes to an end, the price of goods will drop significantly; however, prices are rising at an alarming rate, and most people are unable to keep up. Let's put an end to this nonsensical behavior because it is affecting people all over the world.
3830  Economy / Economics / Re: China's strategy on the Ukraine invasion war on: February 24, 2022, 04:20:02 PM
There is no strategy they are simply happy about all the destructions on both sides but there is no wonder if they goes by the side of Russia if US started some army help to Ukraine. But somewhere in the corner has no relation with both the countries also is getting affected due to financial crisis.

I agree with you that they are pleased that these two powerful countries are pitted against one another, but I believe that if this were to happen, the Russians would do something to solicit Chinese assistance. However, as you can see, it is completely ineffective because we are all affected, and millions or billions of dollars have been lost solely as a result of this war, and people are suffering not only in that country but throughout the world, as evidenced by the rise in the price of oil, food, and other commodities. I'm hoping that this will be over as soon as possible.
3831  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Access Sportsbet.io or any kind of gambling without VPN on: February 24, 2022, 05:04:05 AM
I think it would be effective but it has a huge risk in the long run especially if it's breaking the site's TOS. You might have big trouble when it comes to future withdrawals and deposits. You would just put your funds at risk which you might also regret in the end.

As I've read in other threads, after a few months, he was discovered to be violating the rules, with the VPN suspected to be the cause, and he had funds on it. This is a huge problem because you can't really get your money back because it is a violation of their terms of service, and you violated them. Because it is a huge problem when it is banned in your country, it is best to find websites that are not banned in your country and, if you have the opportunity, do not leave your funds on the website just to be safe because I believe it is not still legal in your country and will be banned in the near future.
3832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin War on: February 24, 2022, 04:53:08 AM

Do you anticipate a future in which there is a large-scale battle between pro-and anti-Bitcoin nations?

Thanks!
There will be no war here, I think you are overvaluing bitcoin. War only happens because of power struggles, asserting sovereignty...Bitcoin is simply a profitable investment asset or currency traded on the internet. if we want to own them as long as we have the money, we can buy them anytime we want.

That is correct, and it is extremely exaggerating that people will go to war as a result of cryptocurrency. We can all agree that one of the primary reasons for war is to gain power or resources. With bitcoin, I do not believe this is the case, but there will be a lot of discussion online about pro and con bitcoin, but I do not believe a war will break out as a result of this. Let us just take pleasure in the bitcoin because it is our opportunity to make money, and therefore we should have no time for war.
3833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am doomed on trading on: February 23, 2022, 05:31:30 PM
Trading comes with a lot of risks, so instead of using your last money or borrowing to trade with is not a good idea that is why one is always advised to trade with spare money in other not to slide into depression when your trade goes wrong.

It's quite unfortunate that these mistakes always happen to newbie traders because lack control and adequate knowledge in trading.
The problem here is the cockiness, newbies tend to spend more than what they should because they think in the measly wins that they've got, they suddenly think that they can take over the world and then they suffer losses which could have had a least negative effect if it wasn't for their cockiness and then they go in a downward spiral at this point.

Agree like overconfident that thinking that without knowledge they can dominate trading or just earn a single penny but the truth is just hitting that button it could ruin your life and lose all of the money so that is why before hitting that button you should read and learn something before diving into trading but all of us will be going thru that weather you have knowledge or not but with knowledge you can lessen the risk and able to start earning a penny.
3834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun alone? how true? on: February 23, 2022, 05:19:26 PM
Have you heard that some people gamble for fun and not necessarily to make money?
It depends me and most of my fellow workers always do gamble but not in casino or sports betting like gambling if the other workers would be able to do something what we told him for example drinking 3 pint of beer in 30 seconds and we place bet that he can or he can't and that was fun and we don't care if we lose or win since we are enjoying it. Same as in casino and in gambling if you are being entertained by the game without worrying if you are losing or winning then you are having fun but if you are only aiming to have money and getting anxious on what might be the outcome then you are playing for money and not the fun.

I also do that kind of gambling which basically to have fun, but am still also always after the money, because if I know I will lose I don't always participate, but if the chance of me win is high definitely I will participate because I believe we are all going to have fun and still I might still make money, if am able to do what we are competing then we laugh and the money belongs to me and if I lose we will still laugh then I will drop my own money.

I agree with the majority of those who have stated that winning is just a bonus because when we do have that amount of money to spend, we are well aware that we will lose it all and we simply want to have a good time. Even though it is extremely difficult to have fun when you are losing, you will still have a good time if you are gambling with your friends because it is more enjoyable and enlightening to gamble with your friends than it is by yourself. This is also the most effective mindset for avoiding addiction because it demonstrates that you have the ability to control your emotions.
3835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 23, 2022, 04:04:05 PM
~
This reminds me that criminals prefer fiat money to digital money, when Pablo Escobar's time handled a lot of money and the way they counted millions of dollars was by weighing them, just like weighing 1Kg of beef , well, the dollars and that was the way for them to count quickly because it was a lot of money that counting it normally was something almost endless, it took a long time, and like that in physical form, well it was palpable, sure, maybe that's why the great crimes have been done with fiat money than digital money.
I have heard about stories of Pablo Escobar and how he used to deal with his money and how he used to burn dollars to get warmth and there are many stories along these lines, even now all the illegal deals are done with fiat currency, either in digital or otherwise but you cannot track them. Even criminals use any form of currency but the problem is all the transactions in Bitcoin can be tracked and hence doing any illegal activity is like having a money trail.

Exactly. That's what I would like to emphasize here: very soon when all those criminals come to realize that using cryptocurrencies(not only Bitcoin) can very likely lead to lead to their capture, they will stop using it, and Bitcoin will no longer be associated with criminal activity, like, ever.

Because in the end you will be converting the money into something that is associated with a real person, unless they buy some identity to spread it, but I know there are still ways around it, yes, it can be tracked but at the same time anonymous and also easy transactions, with the real fiat it could be tracked because you have banks or if holding large amounts of money, but later on it will be bypassed and not able to detect to it, with the virtual fiat it could be tracked because you have banks
3836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun alone? how true? on: February 23, 2022, 07:43:34 AM
Have you heard that some people gamble for fun and not necessarily to make money?

I find it hard to believe completely because who doesn't like to make some more money even if it is not needed.

If you knew the exact sum you were going to loose gambling, and you are the type that they say " gambles for fun", will you find it fun loosing that money still? will you return another day in awareness of how much you will loose and still want to loose for fun?

Definitely no,but losing small amounts of money for fun is OK.
Almost all the gamblers are gambling for fun AND for making money(if they are lucky enough).
Only a handful of gamblers would say that they are gambling for fun only.
Gambling addicts are gambling ONLY for the sake of making money, which is delusional and there's no fun.
I only gamble with small amounts, because losing a big amount of money via gambling isn't fun at all.
It would be painful as hell and it would make me quit gambling forever.
I'm glad that I can control myself and keep myself away from the gambling addiction trap.
When starting a game, or entering a gambling site, any of the players hopes to win. When it comes to small amounts of winning or losing, then a good psychological excuse for yourself is the argument that you played "for fun".
By doing this, you calm yourself down and this just gives you reason to visit the site again - to play, maybe another time you will be lucky, and if you are not lucky, then again "for fun".  Smiley
Etc... Smiley

Well, this has a point in that it can help you to keep your cool when you are losing so that it doesn't hurt as much. When I lose, I do the same thing to myself so that I can think about how much money I have left and be able to control my emotions. Most of the rich are having a good time when they lose or win because they have a lot of money, it doesn't really hurt them, whereas it does hurt us and we find ways to calm ourselves down when we lose or win, which is the case with the poor.
3837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I’m planning to surprise my soon-to-be-bride sister some BTC on her wedding day on: February 23, 2022, 03:50:52 AM
My sister is getting married in April this year. She’s asking for money from everybody as a wedding gift. I’ll probably give her £100 or something. She’s not having any of my BTC Grin

Yeah,  you don't need to give her any bitcoins from your holding, but how about buying £100 worth of bitcoins now or at her wedding time and gift her.
If i was at your side, i would probably ask my sister before her marriage, if she is willing to get bitcoins and if so, i would have purchase bitcoin for her.

It isnt a surprise anymore if you are asking her if she wants bitcoin. You already gifted her before sure i am sure that she would accept and appreciate it a lot since it is in the hardware wallet. Any worth is okay as long as it from your heart.

Your sister would really be happy in receiving your gifts. Send my best wishes to them
3838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What I understand about bitcoin on: February 22, 2022, 05:38:54 PM
Yes, all of them have risks, such as trading, mining, holding and many more, all of which have risks. But back to each of us, how can we minimize that risk, because all have different levels of risk. We don't know how bitcoin will be in the future, but we can analyze it and always follow its development.

And how could you be successful if you are not willing to take a chance on something? How can you become wealthy if you do not take some sort of financial risk? You are absolutely correct; we simply reduce the risk, but it remains; however, with knowledge, we can reduce the risk and increase the likelihood of success, allowing us to earn more profit. Knowledge is power, and you will not be successful unless you have it. Bitcoin's future is impossible to predict, but many believe it has a bright future, which is something to be happy about because it would mean a lot of money for us.
3839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun alone? how true? on: February 22, 2022, 05:26:00 PM
-snip
believe it or not, there are people who find gambling relaxing, entertaining, or just like you said "fun". there are people who don't really mind losing and winning is just a bonus. it might be hard to believe because we have been so used to knowing/seeing that gambler's priority is to win money.

I agree with this because I see mostly those who are wealthy or wealthy who are gambling for fun, to relax, and to kill time because that is what they find enjoyable. However, I believe that those of us who are middle class or lower middle class are simply hoping to win, with winning considered a bonus for some. I believe we can all agree that it is more enjoyable to play with friends who are also present and participating, as it is rather tedious to be playing and losing a lot of money.
3840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I can't access a casino while my country isn't got blacklisted? on: February 22, 2022, 12:26:52 PM
If VPN is the only solution then why are you keeping yourself from doing it? I don't understand. It's legal for a cheap price.
I have the same problem before and that's the solution so I used it to continue playing in a selected gambling site that I love the most. They are getting strict about this rules to avoid other problems from restricted countries might as well do your own fixing to be able to play again.

I also don't see any problems using a VPN. It was used for IP privacy or related stuff but not for the purpose of getting access to the site in the restricted regions or locations. It's really prohibited. I don't think there is another way to solve OP's problem here since the site already knows his situation.

It's up to OP if he will still push his luck or leave everything on the site and forget it.

Although it is an obvious lose-lose situation, the most common recommendation is for him to try his luck, because even if he does nothing, his mind will be racing about it all night, causing him to become stressed. There are a few gambling sites in our country that prohibit using a VPN, which they will detect over a week and ban you from playing. This is stated in their terms of service, which I don't understand because a lot of people from other regions want to play, but it is their choice and rules, and we should abide by them.
