3821  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 teaches all of us. on: March 20, 2020, 03:02:21 PM
COVID-19 is still spreading around the world, there are so many lives that passed away because of the virus, but despite of danger that this virus can give to use, it teaches us something in our lives.

1. Our earth feel free because there are a lot of company that produces air pollution that is being closed.
2. There are so many people who clean our environment, there is general cleaning in our community.
3. People learned how to be careful and protect their health.
4. Because of this virus, the government decided the lockdown on our are and by that we get so much bonding on our family.
5. There are a lot of cancelled activities and gathering such as (night club, vices, etc.)
6. The virus makes us so conscious on our environment.
7. Our camaraderie increases.
8. Our faith on our God increases.

I know and I believe that we can overcome this problem, let us all help each other, stay at home to prevent the risk of spreading the virus.

.
10. You are focusing on the effect on Earth but it is not the one suffering right now but the people.

I think Op is right to focused on Earth too. If the earth is destroyed, almost everyone dies. It's like human cells not getting bothered about the state of human body. Cancer cells probably won't be that bothered too. They keep growing unnaturally until the body is destroyed.
3822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What You Should Know About Cryptocurrency Taxation on: March 20, 2020, 10:49:58 AM
As someone who deals in Cryptocurrency, it has taken me quite a while to figure out how taxation on Cryptocurrency works in my country, and exactly what I can and cannot be taxed on. It is not exactly clear cut by any means.

If you were or still are just as confused as me here are some guidelines for Cryptocurrency taxation in different countries around the world: https://e-cryptonews.com/what-you-should-know-about-cryptocurrency-taxation/

Do you think governments should be allowed to tax Cryptocurrency based income?

As long as it's not unfair taxes. If you don't create problems that deserve taxing, use government or anyone things, why would they tax you unless it's voluntary taxation or something?

You should probably be careful how and where you use your coins so you don't get taxed too much.

3823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Blockchain-based decentralized instant messaging apps? on: March 20, 2020, 09:49:42 AM
I have seen status couple of times. I haven't really used it yet. Not very sure about using it now. Will probably research Adamant Messenger  soon.
By the way, Freedom of speech in my humble opinion should be saying things the "right way" otherwise a community risks encouraging evil to spread and getting vulnerable to attacks. .. that is always an opportunity for "evil entity" to attack, destroy and enslave a community. Communications have to be decent.
3824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things you shouldn't do when gambling at casino this time... on: March 20, 2020, 09:18:15 AM
It is a nice post in this Corona time as some jokingly say.
I miss the traditional casinos, I remember having attended in some just for fun. I wasn't looking to make money just to experience some gambling halls.
Las Vegas is known for being emblematic for its casinos, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak ordered the casinos closed for a month. Las Vegas looks completely empty.

The fun part (without considering profit/loses) is probably why some will keep coming despite being in serious loses.
I really don't think difficult-to-win games in casinos should be too fancy/attractive.
Casinos should really play their part in stopping addiction
3825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Physically vs Gambling Online Using Crypto on: March 20, 2020, 08:50:38 AM

We all know how gambling does really makes us feel good especially if we're tired and we won a decent profit from gambling. That's why it is good to talk about the excitement we feel while gambling but here's the question, what is more fun to play? Gambling physically, or gambling using bitcoin online?

For me, gambling physically is really good especially if you have a lot of funds to play, but with the alarming COVID-19 virus, it is quite dangerous especially to play tangible equipment that people are using so at this time, online gambling through cryto, on the other hand, is more reasonable,

Here are some reasons that we should consider thinking about gambling online through bitcoin and crypto from this resource:

1. Gambling using bitcoin is fast, you can deposit amount, withdraw your funds, faster than other platforms available.
2. When you are gambling, one thing you consider is your anonymity, and with bitcoin, you can play no matter who you are, with you identity isn't at risk.
3. Games from cryptocurrencies are probably fair, you can guarantee that you can win with a 50/50 chance.

And in addition, based on my experience, gambling through cryptocurrency allows you to play even without a fund deposited because of some gambling platforms allows players to use faucets so if you are not a hardcore gambler, then you don't need to worry about putting much amount just to play.

If you have any other reasons why gambling online through crypto is the best, please share it.
Yes it's true gambling physically is more fun because you can talk and you can see the people who gambling with you. But for I love online gambling using bitcoin because I can manage my loses. Once I get lose I never go back and play again because I have limitation to add bitcoin in my wallet once I lose I will gamble again once I have bitcoin. But in physically if hot lose I go home and take money again and I go back to gamble again. So I think gambling online is enough for me.

When you play gambling online, it is very hard to limit the money that you can spend. You're just playing online at your home and you can access your bitcoin wallet easily. You don't need to withdraw your money outside, although you're staying at home, that will still make you spend a lot of money in gambling. While in physical gambling, you can withdraw or bring a limited amount of money for you to stop when it is over. You can manage your money and stop yourself from withdrawing again because you see that you're unlucky that certain time. But in this circumstances that there is a Covid-19 spreading, in physical gambling, most places are crowded and not safe. If you really like gambling, you can do it online but the consequences are there and you're the one who is responsible for that. Always think twice because it is not easy to earn money.
I'm thinking that online gambling might be the most reliable because of the viruses that is spreading "Covid 19 Virus". For most of the time Online cryptocurrency Gambling could be a modern type of gambling, maximizing the technology with this their could be a lot of users that could play in the websites, You just need to go to the gambling websites and then deposit your funds or cryptocurrency and then you could already play.

We already use currency like chips or token in gambling or why not use cryptocurrency and play gambling with it. Still physically gambling is always a thing for entertainment, but online gambling was also entertaining and profitable.

I guess you mean (at the bolded) that the online ones are more profitable than the physical ones? If true, provable fairness could be one of the reasons for the profitability, unless there are other ways they guarantee fairness in the physical and fiat based online casinos. The non-crypto based ones should probably adopt crypto provable fair feature. Some are probably doing that already?

I'm obsessed with Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality and now that obsession also includes cryptocurrency lol.

The Obsession probably caused by the issue in physical space?
Well, both VR & AR would work well in cryptocurrency/decentralized space. And they are likely better for the environment than traveling to/from long distance in airplanes, vehicles, ships etc. They probably use less energy considering how much it'll cost to travel around, rent spaces in physical world. VR or AR will only cost you reasonable amount of data, and maybe more work on many computers/phone processors.
I wouldn't rely too much on both realities (VR & AR) though.
3827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas closes casinos and hotels in lieu of coronavirus on: March 20, 2020, 07:32:34 AM
Security and safety first before our hobby or relation to the gambling business. Everyone has to sacrifice. I've seen huge companies that have protected their employees and customers more than their own interest and that is to profit.
But, others that are still operating because they have the least concern and they're not affected.

It would've been better if important businesses operate in open space (probably won't work well in cities & towns) with good spacing between employees and customers, plus other preventative measures. Just hope businesses don't close for too long. The result could be worse than the problem they are trying to stop. The governments should just ensure that people don't get too close to each other or crowd together.
3828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horseracing & Greyhounds covid19 shutdown on: March 20, 2020, 05:53:58 AM

Bettors must have anticipated it already that all events are going to be postponed, MMA fights were also postponed for the purpose of preventing covid19 to wipe out human race. There were news that Covid can also be transmitted to animals, this virus cam mutate itself.  Gambling though can easily be done online, there are even racing ponies in some gambling sites. Check fortunejack's be page promotion is all about racing.  Cheesy

Transmitted to what animals exactly? horses, dogs (heard dogs don't get it?), chickens, etc? Another thing is to know if can be transmitted from animals to humans.
Ponies =virtual horses? It is probably better than racing with real horses. Sometimes I wonder if the real horses are ok with people using them in racing. It could be a good way of getting them exercise once in while though. They mostly look healthy to me, and well taken care of.

What do you think about this? Imo, if people actually buy the produc then it can really reflect the price of a coin?

What product exactly? Product people sell for the cryptocoin? Well, if that is what you mean, it could increase the price of the cryptocoin.
If you sell a horse for 1 Bitcoin, and someone sell another cryptocurrency or fiat to buy the horse, that will likely increase the price of Bitcoin if supply remains thesame or decreases. However the effect on price will be little, depending on how popular the coin is.
Buying the crypto somewhere to pay for horse means increase demand for the crypto.
3830  Economy / Economics / Re: Sans monetary stimulus and injections, how do you respond to an economic crisis? on: March 19, 2020, 02:03:24 PM
I believe some with conscience know the truth, and want it implemented but are afraid it would drastically change societies. Those who choose the easy way will have themselves to be blamed in the end. I am not against handout to people who need them. Just wish they will be used for "only good things".    If you list the "good things" people should spend on, would they believe? I just hope the believers do what is right.
I prefer the decentralized approach to things. It is much safer in my opinion
3831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things you shouldn't do when gambling at casino this time... on: March 19, 2020, 10:39:13 AM
Interesting. The last one could be minimized via good spacing, and probably playing in an open space or space with windows properly opened... unless there are special air-conditioners/things that can keep people safe in casino with closed windows.
I guess the firearms thing could be replaced with something harmless(probably don't make too much noise) and can easily immobilize/capture dangerous criminals?   Extremely loud sound could make people panic and touch themselves in harmful way.

Thanks for setting this up - cant wait and I really want to win this time, lol. Being chipleader for the most part of the tournament and sucking out the way I did, well, this time you.cant.win.  Cool

And please everybody bring your toilet paper... thx to El duderino_  Cheesy

via Imgflip Meme Generator

The dude = back in business

The picture and emojis made me smile, but then I realized why some people may actually be buying up the toilet papers. I guess to wipe things they share with others , and not necessarily due to the other reasons I have seen people give online... Maybe that's main intention of those who started the toilet paper idea, but many people misunderstood it and start copying anyway.

I will hopefully watch this thread once in awhile for any good opportunity in the casino tournament.
3833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any Casino with good Investment Returns? on: March 19, 2020, 08:55:21 AM
I think in these days it is a good idea to invest in a casino bankroll as it is a safer investment compared to gambling.Usually people have made a profit no matter small or big by investing in a casino in a relatively long time.Just due your own search about the casino you want to invest. It is true that nowadays not a lot of casinos offer this option.

I was thinking you would say it's safer due to the current problem in physical societies. That could be one of the reasons, you know. More people are staying home and they may be trying the online casinos as there is alot of time to try different things to see what will help them mentally, financially, etc
3834  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the right Church to attend? No right church to attend on: March 19, 2020, 06:01:05 AM
Whatever church helps you become a better person is the right church to attend.

As long as the church is not deviating from GOD's rules and teachings. Small deviations, especially those done intentionally can easily lead believers into sin and continue to keep them under the bondage of satan. And the deviations could increase more and more when followers are blind.
"Better person" in the context of the true teachings = someone living in GOD's Righteousness and Holiness... no compromise. GOD Bless!

3835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steem community hardfork - Hive.blog will be launched on Friday on: March 19, 2020, 05:43:15 AM
Hope they resolve this issue and possibly strengthen their decentralization.  That problem is what happens when you allow wealthy investors to rule the consensus instead of community rules, principles, honesty, merit, quality, loyalty to community values/rules, loyalty to Blockchain principles/values,etc. If you make these things more important, I doubt investor will dare to risk using huge sums of money for consensus... because he/she knows it will be frequently frozen when rules are broken continuously... unless they'll start printing the money illegally from somewhere to game the concensus
3836  Other / Off-topic / Re: Google GMAIL March 31 Policy Change and how it affects US on: March 19, 2020, 05:16:28 AM
Doesn't decentralized peer-to-peer email exist?

Well, If you fully control your mails, I don't see how Google will be able to shut it down for no good reason.
We have depended too much on centralized powers for all most anything these days. It's high time we started decentralizing, owning our most cherished data, using peer-to-peer.  If these can't be achieved on the current internet then we'll have to abondon it for safe internet
3837  Other / Off-topic / What is the right Church to attend? No right church to attend on: March 17, 2020, 05:30:26 PM
Right Church to attend? No right church to attend as far as I can tell. Nice video on that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_6lFk4mZHU. Christianity is a way of life, while church is a group of true believers, not a physical building. GOD does not dwell in temples made with human hands. HE dwells in "clean humans". This is what Isreal failed/fails to understand, and the "church" is making thesame mistake today.  Satan has infiltrated the false ones and has continue to decieved them.

Practicing Christianity is very easy and beautiful. You don't need to attend physical building to please GOD. All you need to please GOD always, is to be righteous and holy. This means doing good too others, reading/listening to your Bible always (I love listening to any book of the Bible like Matthew, Isaiah & others repeatedly), obeying GOD's word, and serving HIM.

Complete Bible in Audio format: (King James Version and New Living Translation):

KJV (King James VERSION)

NLT (New Living Translation)

I used to think the Bible was irrational and full of violence as an atheist until I read/listen to it repeatedly without doubting the words. That was when GOD began to open my minds to mysteries a hardened mind will hardly understand. The words are full of Powers if you repent, read/listen, believe, and obey, without doubting.

My favorite book of the Bible
1. Book of Genesis:
2. Book of Isaiah
3. Book of Matthew
4. Book of Romans
5. Book of Corinthians
6. Book of Galatians
7. Book of Ephesians
Other Books of the Bible are all wonderful and full of excellent teachings. They can all be found in the links above ^
If you don't understand KJV , you can always listen to NLT
3838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most durable paper/material for Bitcoin paper wallets? on: March 17, 2020, 04:10:21 PM
You could always engrave your keys on stainless steel or something. If you decide against that then how about a tattoo in a less than visible place Cheesy

One of my favorite solutions is just to make tiny numbers/alphabets with malleable metal like copper and tie/hold them together like a bunch of physical keys. The letters could be as small as letter on laptop keyboard and as large as typical car  keys.
You could make shaping the keys easy by firstly creating a hard tool that contains all the numbers/alphabets common in Crypto private keys, then get yourself a  tiny but strong long copper wire, bend it around the tool's numbers/alphabets... shape & cut the way you want.
Example: you create a single tool with small alphabets a-z shapes, then get your copper wires and shape it around the tools alphabets.     Assuming your private keys is azetsnitsvkgcsdhysdgywiinn, you shape your copper wire around the tool to mold out all the alphabets azeynit....

The tool could easily be created with a good wood....and you engrave all the necessary letter/number on the wood.
I would create the private keys without the tool though.
3839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: March 17, 2020, 10:51:38 AM
We know that day trading or short time trading is like playing with wild fire, not may can handle it. That's y most player's end up in loss and very few are successful day traders.
Is that hold true for gambling also?
There are posts here that gambling is addiction and how to get rid of.
Are there gamblers here who are in profit overall?

The longer you play, the more likely you will lose. This is a mathematical rule and it will not change until there is house edge. I think that only by playing the lottery and being lucky by winning, in the long run can we be on plus. House edge is a "tax" that we pay for our fun. Addicted people who lose control over their finances have worse..

Those luck based games are those that house a house edge, and its true that we can never beat the house and that is not comparable to trading since in trading its like using your skills to gamble and be profitable, you can't do that in games with house edge.

Poker and sports betting, these are popular gambling games where there are people who are successful, so this is more comparable to day trading.

Better yet, "using your skills to day trade & be profitable"... that is assuming you don't trade with amount you can't afford to lose. If your trading skills isn't working for you, and you are trading frequently with risky amount, it's likely that you are gambling.
In regards to poker and sports betting, do you know anyone who is consistently profitable in both? I do not doubt that though, as long as skills are concerned.
3840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and KYC on: March 17, 2020, 09:54:20 AM
I didn't see any post on the security and moral aspect of implement the typical kyc. Imagine if the governments implement the kyc on every business on the internet... That will probably lead to mass exodus from the internet if people aware of the real risks. Those who decide to stay will be exposed to big risk as long as evil exist.
Kyc should be safe for everyone. It's a very bad idea to put thousands/millions/billions in unsafe situations because of few people.

If majority are avoiding kyc or don't feel conformable with it, it's likely for a good reason.
Why not decentralized and safe kyc? What matters is that kyc system does the job  societies want it to do, right?
