3841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 29, 2021, 01:23:21 PM
I only watched the replay and really admired how Kambosos handled the favorite Teofimo Lopez. Big congratulations to Kambosos. He deserves the win. Lopez is a strong fighter but he had gone too eager to prove something, probably to the boxing fans, or to his opponent, or to himself and his camp, etc. Regardless, this eagerness did not make him any good.

He'd gone too confident of himself, resulting to the underestimation of his opponent who is actually dangerous. Lopez was the sore loser in the end.
Same here I just watched the highlights and you will see how these 2 fighters were fighting toe to toe.
I just can't move on with that first round KO of Kambosos on Lopez. Its a surprise punch and he didn't expect it that's why he got knocked down.

After all, this is one of the possible upsets that we will see this year. If I remember correctly, one of the commentators said that the odds is 10 to 1 so the chances of Lopez winning really is high. Many belts just got lost for Lopez and I will not be surprised if a rematch between the 2 of them will happen possible next year. A well deserved win for Kambosos and if there are somebody who put the bet on him before the match then congrats Cheesy.
3842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 29, 2021, 12:49:01 PM
I know that most of us here are talking about the Game Fixing and I just want to share this news.
One Sports, a page on Facebook posted that there is already a schedule into when the Governor's Cup will start. It will start on December 8 2021.

In addition to it, Comm. Willie is trying to communicate with the LGUs on hoping that they will allow spectators or audiences to watch the games in person. Well, this is a good news for PBA fans including me Cheesy.

With the alert system of most of the places in our country in Level 2, I think that they will allow 50% of the total capacity of the stadium but with the new variant of the virus that has been discovered which is the Omicron variant this might change and the worst scenario is that PBA will return to bubble again once this variant will come to our country. We know for a fact that this variant will come. Its just a matter of when. I just hope that even though this variant will be in our country, the Governor's Cup will still continue.
3843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mercatox is a SCAM on: November 29, 2021, 12:16:12 PM
They disabled withdrawals for doge, and have been 'working' on it for a year.

Any advice on how to attempt to get my funds back?
Why only focusing on DOGE when Mercatox is supporting many coins in their exchange.
One thing more is that, disabling withdrawals of coins isn't enough to say that an exchange is a scam. I tried trading and withdrawing funds from Mercatox and in my experience, there is nothing wrong with the exchange. Its just that the UI is bad for me and the volume of some coins out there is close to zero.

Well, the only thing that you can do is to contact their customer support. I don't know if their CS responds fast Cheesy.

I also use changelly.com
https://changelly.com/how-it-works
My first trade with this exchange is very smooth and lesser hassle too.
The second one? I didn't get anything. I tried to exchange my coins into another one and both of them are supported by it. Tried to contact their customer support, filed a ticket and they responded once. The ending? I didn't got the coins that I want and at the same time, they didn't refund me so they got my coins. After what happened, I will not use it again.
3844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Meme Coin Will Survive Long on: November 29, 2021, 09:07:57 AM
Since you are pertaining to only one "coin" then I will say only one meme coin.
ALL HAIL DOGECOIN Cheesy.

It is the first meme coin in the crypto world and it was created in 2013. 9 years from now and it is still on the top 50 in terms of Market Cap and it will stay as the most popular meme coin in the crypto space. Its the same as Bitcoin where it is the most popular crypto coin while on the other hand, Dogecoin is the most popular meme coin and it will survive for a long time as long as it is being used by people. Well, Shiba Inu might survive as well but I still like Doge.
3845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 29, 2021, 07:56:46 AM
Steph Curry massacred the Clippers in the 4th quarter after the technical foul and even made fun out of it.  Grin
Steve Ballmer should sue that referee because he lit the fire in Steph's game. Just kidding.  Cheesy The big difference was the defense. Curry even made 6 steals for the whole game.
This guy really surprises us more. Last time he made 2 blocks in a game. It just proves he never stops with just 3 pointers and doing his best to avoid being a liability on the defensive end.
Now Steve Kerr can focus on their offense more. If you all remember, they do a switch in defense before whenever someone forces to match up with Curry. It won't be the same anymore.

And this two teams are know for their defense that's why the score is low and it's under. I think a great player such as Curry always find a way to ignite the competitive fire in himself. And so Steve Ballmer is the one who did that and as you can see he hit those 3's again. I'm not sure if he hits 6 or 7 in this game, but it was enough to put the dagger on the Clippers heart. He also has some good assists as well. Next up is the game that probably everyone is anticipating, GSW vs P. Suns, I will take GSW with handicap against Phoenix.
The old rivalry of better PG between Steph and CP3. Still lingering inside my minds those exchanges of uncle breakers.

Both are good and very competitive. The game between them will rely on how their support teammates will play.
I also like GSW to win to establish a good gap between number 1 and 2 from the west.

Looking forward to see another monstrous game from Curry and his gang! If only Klay is already there, that's really an interesting match up,
Klay- Booker and CP3-Steph!

Both teams are definitely a sucker for offense, DBook and his consistent midrange and Stephen Curry's limitless range, this match will determine on who's much better offensively and defensively, GSW and PHX ranks among the top 3 teams in defense, combine their offensive power and we just might see the best match this season. Placing my bets on GSW.
48 hours from now, the top 2 in the West will have a match and this might be a early sneak peak of what might be a Western Conference Finals Cheesy. I mean they are the top 2 teams right now and the 3rd seeded Jazz are 5 games behind the Suns.  I will bet for GSW here not because I'm a fan of them (for a long time already) but because I think that they are still better in offense than the Suns. Though I want to see Suns' streak continues but I got a feeling that the Warriors will stop it Smiley.
3846  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin resistance and support price on: November 27, 2021, 02:21:04 PM
The support is strong at $50000 and bitcoin has not falled to the level at all but is this not the begining of the bearish market?
Too early to tell since we are above that price as of now.
TBH, I'm thinking of the 2017-2018 scenario and it might happen today as well so if it will happen then we might see the market turning bearish at least at the start of 2022. Well, many will not like it to happen but... I'm thinking that it might happen.

Either way, I think being patient and calm is the only thing that we can do right now. Wait until the end of the year or possible until the first month of 2022. Make some plans in advance Smiley. I'm also thinking of taking some profits at the end of the year or possible 1st quarter of 2022.
3847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's Wealth on: November 27, 2021, 01:37:57 PM
Do you guys think that this will remain a mystery? Or maybe we'll see this holdings moving soon?
The hype regarding Satoshi's identity is long gone already and nobody is interested on it anymore... or still there are Cheesy.
Anyway, I don't think that Satoshi will reveal its identity and I think that would be better knowing that Satoshi is holding that huge amount of money right now.

Does it matter if Satoshi will reveal its identity or not? Will it change how Bitcoin is right now if Satoshi's true identity will be revealed? I don't think so that's why its better that Satoshi will just remain a mystery. TBH, nobody knows if that 1.1 Million or whatever amount Satoshi holds will be transferred for some reasons. Maybe it is inaccessible right now or Satoshi is dead already and nobody has a way to get access to that huge amount of Bitcoins.
3848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are they doing this? on: November 27, 2021, 01:01:12 PM
How are they doing this?
In every investment, there will always be newbie investors who are easily attracted to these new projects.
High APY, burning mechanism, dividends just by holding. These are just some of the few ways to attract these newbie investors and sad to say, there are some who are falling into it and there is nothing that we can do about it.

How and where are they getting the buyer from?
Online. Like I said, they are just inputting some flowery and attractive words that can attract investors to invest into their project.
Right now, these meme coins are just the same and to my surprise there are some who became successful to gather some buyers to support their project. Most of them though ended up as a dead coin or a scam coin.

Is there a secret to this?
There is no secret into this.

Also what is the correct way to gather community members for a new project?
Advertising into different social media platforms. I think that is the correct way to gather community members. TBH, I don't know how some meme coins are gathering tens of thousands of members in their channel especially in their Telegram. Its also possible that most of their community members are paid just to join in their channel.
3849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t Miss Out: Play To Earn on: November 27, 2021, 12:33:54 PM
Just right after the rug pull of Squid Game Token, now another "Squid" named token has arise.

What are the benefits of Squid Cash?

There are so many benefits to buying and holding Squid Cash it is difficult to count them all, but here are some of our favourites:

Simply buy and hold to receive dividends in BUSD automatically.
Enjoy massive ROI as the value of the token increases thanks to buyback and burn.
Win more tokens by playing fun games and much more!.
We've heard this phrases so many times already. A coin that can give you dividends just by holding it. A coin that has a burning mechanism. What is their ending? Well, some of them ended as a rug pull like Squid Game Token.

Like others are saying, a project can't be called a scam until it becomes one but just a quick glance at it we know that the chances of an investor getting scammed by investing here is really high and knowing that a "Squid" named token just made a rug pull a few weeks ago I'm pretty sure many are thinking that this might end up like that as well.

Either way, just 2 words is enough. STAY AWAY.
3850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 27, 2021, 11:08:28 AM
Triple overtime loss for the Lakers lol
They could've win that one in the first overtime If LeBron didn't take over too much. I mean he had the ball the whole time. He's shooting zero percent three point attempts, that could've been converted into a score If his teammates got involved with it.
2/13 from three point range. He should've give the ball to somebody else if they will focus on shooting threes.
Anyway, lets just say that he has a bad night that's why they lost and its unfortunate for them to see them playing like this knowing that they are a team filled with superstars and all-stars. I think its the age that hinders them because they are kinda slow affecting their defense.

Nevertheless, the Lakers are gradually turning into a hopeless team towards the playoffs lol.
I think this is too early to tell knowing that we are just starting the season (most number of games so far is 21). Lets say this if they don't have any adjustments coming into the all-star weekend or after it. Maybe we're expecting too much for them since they are filled with superstars aren't we? Smiley

Anyway, why most of us are focusing on Lakers. I mean we have the Warriors getting victory against the Trail Blazers by 15 points and the Suns who are in a 15 win streak with their win against the Knicks. The longest winning streak in the NBA is 33 by the 1971–72 Lakers. Well , the Suns are almost halfway to that Cheesy.
3851  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you manage Bitcoin price now on: November 26, 2021, 01:41:08 PM
To you how would you manage the price of Bitcoin now will you still risk the market or patiently wait for a new break-out on either side of the trend?
Right now, I'm just patiently waiting for the market to go down even though I'm holding Bitcoins. I'm still saving up some fiat money to be used to buy some Bitcoins and other coins when it goes down.

The market as of this moment goes down very hard because of the new coronavirus strain that has been found in Africa. Because of this I think that is why the investors has a negative sentiment thus, selling their holdings and put the prices of the crypto coins down. I think the best thing to do right now is to wait and be patient. For me, as long as Bitcoin remains above $50,000 then it is still bullish but if it goes below that level then the downside pressure might increase and put Bitcoin to even lower price.
3852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 26, 2021, 01:25:15 PM
I'm not actually watching MPBL but because of Marc, I might be following a few games not only from him though. It's really good to see someone out from retirement goes back.

MPBL is more entertaining to watch compared to PBA. Cheesy
~
Can I ask where can I watch MPBL games?
I'm not following them back since but since you said that the physicality there is more entertaining than PBA who had these very soft calls and very inappropriate calls which makes the league more boring to watch.

I don't know but I just love to watch basketball games that has a bit of physicality since it is how PBA started. There is physicality involved like how the NBA is back in the Jordan Era around 80-90's (correct me).
3853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Facts about gambling addiction on: November 26, 2021, 01:06:54 PM
2. It is common for people to blame certain types of gambling methods, such as lotteries, casinos, and racetracks for causing compulsive gambling, but gambling problems are not caused from gambling being easily attainable, they are caused from a person’s inability to control their gambling habits. There are far more people who gamble on occasion than there are people who are compulsive gamblers.
I agree with this because gambling is not the problem here. It is like people who are the problem and not gambling itself because they can't control themselves. They can't control themselves whether they are winning or losing thus, they are having problems with themselves.

3. It has been estimated that around 80 percent of the US population has gambled in their lifetime. Gambling can be done in various different ways and therefore is easy for people to access.
No surprise with this especially in US where 80% are gamblers. There is Las Vegas out there where gambling is mostly done out there. The fact too that gambling is easy to access is the reason why people are gambling and of course money too is another reason Smiley.

9. The last gambling addiction fact to remember is that compulsive gambling does not mean that you are a weak person. Many people who have become problem gamblers are very successful and are seen by others as strong and intelligent people.
Well, after reading the first ones as kinda negative we saw a positive one with regards to gambling like this Smiley.
At least we saw that there is still positivity behind gambling and this is it. There are gamblers that are very successful for some reasons but the number of successful ones to failed ones are far. There are way more losers as compare to winners. After all whether it is gambling addiction or any kind of addiction, it is all harmful. Just learn how to control yourself so that you don't experience what the most are experiencing when they are gambling.
3854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 26, 2021, 12:17:20 PM
Lavine and DeRozan are currently in the top 6 and 7 respectively in the PPG ranking this season.

What do you think are their chances of winning the MVP?
Will one of them beat the top 3 now (Curry, Durant, and Giannis)?

I like to hear some thoughts since the Bulls are really surprising me this season, I'm sure not only me.  Smiley
Its a big surprise that the Bulls are right now at the top after not entering the playoffs last season.
Lavine and DeRozan played better this season compare to last season but I think that they have a low chance of winning the MVP this season.

We know who is the top pick for MVP right now and its Curry. Maybe if Curry gets injured (hope not) then these 2 have a shot of winning it but right now, my and some others' pick here is Curry. The Curry that we are seeing right now is almost the same as the Curry way back in 2014-2015 and the difference is that, he has more help from other players compare to that time. Still he is my pick right now but too early since we are nowhere the half of the season.
3855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store your keys? on: November 25, 2021, 01:33:26 PM
Crypto investors are turning to Military grade vaults to safeguard their Keys. While some prefer to know the Keys by heart, some have their crypto stash in physical dedicated crypto wallets like Trezor and pay big money to have them stored in Nuclear sheltered safe vaults. Take for instance Swiss Crypto Vault who offers Nuclear sheltered vaults to crypto investors. if you had 2000 bitcoins what options would you pick?
I'd rather keep my own keys than let other companies or group of people keep my keys.
Not your keys, not your coins.

For me, I already kept it in a storage where I'm the only one who knew it. Maybe its an advantage for me that I'm the only one who knows crypto here in our community because they don't know that I'm holding that huge amount Cheesy. I also kept all of my Bitcoins in different platforms/storages. A huge percentage of my Bitcoins are just in a wallet sitting there while a small percentage of it are in an app earning passive income. Yes they are holding my Bitcoins but I trust them and I'm ready in case the worst happens (I hope not).
3856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 25, 2021, 01:08:17 PM
You can see the way they play right now, they are not like they used to be when they were won the Championship. They are against the Pacers today which is not that competitive but they still struggling.

I thought the Pacers will win tonight's game because the Lakers are obviously struggling and with the absence of Anthony Davis, that makes things worst.

The Pacers are always on lead the whole game and the Lakers just got their first lead on 4-minute mark 4Q courtest of Malik Monk. They make again another rally like what they did in their 2 previous games and this time, the result is a win. Lebron James with a big 39 points and Westbrook added 20. But the one I noticed is that, Coach Vogel gave chance to Malik Monk and Wayne Ellington to showcase what they got. Good thing that someone from the bench stepped up.

Yes, it's a huge win by the Lakers starring Lebron James, and there are a lot of Lakers who really step up their game on this one.

Monk - 17 points
Anthony - 14 points
Ellington - 14 points
Howard - 9 rebounds

And almost everyone really scored in this game, although it is another close one for the Lakers, they have to go to OT to secure their victory.
Well, it might be the start of their better performance don't they?
Just let Lebron their go-to guy and just support him.

Good thing is that they have made some adjustments at least by giving more time to play those bench players. The only problem that I see is that, Lebron played 43 minutes on that game. Can he sustain to play that much time when we know that he is 36 turning 37 already? Well, a win is a win for the Lakers but they need to sustain how they played tonight or have a better performance as a whole team.

The Chicago Bulls who played well at the start of the season lost to the Pacers by a huge margin and then lost to the Houston Rockets who is at the bottom right now. What can you say about that? A bad night probably Smiley. On the other hand, the Warriors who are having a deficit of double digits at the first half dominated the second half and defeated the Sixers by 20. The Phoenix Suns also continued their winning streak and now it is at 14 after defeating the Hornets Cheesy.
3857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My plans for the next bear market on: November 25, 2021, 12:44:16 PM
I think I will sell everything I have (btc and alts) in the end of december, to USDT.

1) transfer it (usdt) on Tron on my ledger
2) Wait months
3) Wait again
4) buy back when bloodbath looks over
5) triple my holdings

Main question about my plan is it safe or not keeping usdt for months?
Your plan seems good and TBH, I'm thinking of that strategy too when the bear market comes.
The question is will 2022 be the start of the bear market and you are selling all of your coins and hold USDT? Because if the opposite happens and it continues to go upwards then you will incur losses in your portfolio.

There is nothing wrong keeping USDT for months. There is this risk of getting potential gains when you held BTC and ALTS rather than holding USDT and worse if it didn't go the way you like then you will get losses. Its better if you will just convert a percentage of it into Fiat, wait and then buy when you feel that it is low than converting it to USDT. Keep a percentage of your holdings too to hold BTC and ALTS just incase they will go higher then you'd still gain profits.
3858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 25, 2021, 11:12:19 AM
A news about Marc Pingris. He unretires and will play for Nueva Ecija in MPBL. His passion for basketball can't be removed and good to see him back play again but no longer for PBA but now for MPBL.
If you really love basketball, you will really make a way for you to always do it and for Pingris he really did it. As long as he can still play some minutes then it will be all good and for sure, he will share his experiences in PBA to his fellow teammates. Good thing that he returned in MPBL. Maybe in the next years, some old players from PBA will follow what he did as well.

On other news, SMC really is doing unexpected trades as they did another one again.
They traded Kyle Pascual and Justin Melton for the 8th pick of the last draft which is James Laput, a 6'10" center from TerraFirma Dyip.

Sangalang is considered an undersized big and Reavis is already old. They really need a big that can help Sangalang defend the paint and getting Laput for the team is a great pick. Though Laput didn't played well when he is in Dyip, many believe that his size will be a big help with the team he lands. After all he is just 25 years old. Just let him practice and hone his skills and he will be a good back up center for Magnolia. With this trade, its obvious that Magnolia won the trade since Melton and Pascual isn't used by Mags that much. SMC really is afraid after getting swept by MVP last season Cheesy.
3859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 24, 2021, 12:31:36 PM
What do you think is the problem why the Lakers are struggling right now? The Coach maybe? or lack of chemistry or the fact that most of them are all star and they want to get the ball and just shoot Cheesy. Either way, I think that the Lakers should adjust right now or they will end up at the lower spot or worse they might not enter the playoffs.

Westbrook isn't the problem (like everyone is complaining about) having almost everyone in the team a superstar and a former one isn't also the issue. They could actually execute a good offensive plays and they can even score in every way they want. Their number one problem is, they are not actually playing some defense.
They can't even sustain a lead no matter how huge it is, because the higher the lead the more the Lakers became comfortable thus making their defense become more lazy.

If they can't figure out how they'll adjust and fix their system, theres no way they're going to the Finals let alone the conference semis.

Still finding the chemistry, I think that is no mystery that with many superstars the coach will have a hard time rotating them. I disagree though, they play good defense, AD and WB play good defense it's that they can't translate their good defense and score points.

But I do agree that the chances for the Lakers to go to the semis much more to the finals is getting less and less with that defeat against the New York Knicks.

The problem is the whole system, they traded the key players and they risk on Westbrook who can't jive well on the old players. We can't blame Westbrook as he is just playing the way he used to play, and the Lakers organization already know that before they acquired him, so that's the risk they take and they fail on this trade.
The old Laker players that are involved in the Lakers-Wizards trade are now happy with the new system. We know what the Wizards are doing right now and we already saw the improvement of Kuzma, Harrell and KCP and how they are playing on their team right now. Same with Caruso with his new team, Bulls and with Schroder with the Celtics.

Many are blaming WB for what is happening to the team right now but I think that he isn't the sole reason why they are performing like this right now. I think that its the coaching system that is the problem because he can't handle that many superstars in a team. Well, that is the risk that they need to endure right now unless they will change something.

In the past, if I remember correctly they are the ones who also said that they will ban cryptocurrency in their country right? Correct me because I might forgot it or I might be wrong Cheesy. If the news is true then... Good luck to them Smiley

Well, its all plans meaning they are just making small moves to do it but the question is "Will it happen?", "Will this "plans" that they are doing will become successful?". I will not be surprised if this moves that the government is doing will just be another fail move from them. If they become successful then, it might have a negative impact in the market or I mean it will have.
