Honestly, now is a very bad time to start mining. A lot of video cards are mining Ethereum. When Ethereum mining ends, the profit on other coins will greatly decrease, because the hash rate will increase due to the huge influx of video cards. Don't buy graphics cards now, wait for Ethereum mining to finish.

Hi , i was able to flash regular non LHR bios to 3060Ti V2 and it booted Windows recognized device , but have small issue with drivers also had little of artefacts
This does not work with nvidia 3xxx series video cards LHR are made in a more tricky way, and many miners have already tried it before you. If nito has not yet told about the results, then flashing the video card with another BIOS did not give the desired result. And another problem is that the technical documentation for video cards is classified.

So why mine Ethereum on this video card if there are more profitable coins? An increase in the hash rate on this video card is possible only due to the increased power consumption of up to 200 watts. Please answer the question, why do you need this? You can mine other coins and exchange them for Ethereum.

I have a 6 pin to dual 8 pin splitter. I was wondering if I can power two risers with it? I'm powering it from a breakout board connected to a Server PSU.
https://www.gpuminingresources.com/p/psu-cables.htmlI do not know what kind of video card you have, but if we assume that no more than 75 watts comes through the pсi-e port, then your connection option can be used. I would use this scheme for video cards that consume no more than 150 watts without fear.

I heard the opinion of experts that "in 10 years, 10% of the world's financial assets will be in cryptocurrency" If the experts are even a little right, then mining can now only be used to accumulate coins, until the cryptocurrency becomes the world's reserve means of payment. It's a bad idea to mine anything now with new hardware for quick profits. And with low electricity, you can build a farm and mine for 3-5 years, and most of it won't sell.

I am not at all saying that mining crypto or entering into this market will not be profitable for your kid, but before taking any such step that may impact his/her entire life, it's better to teach them about it first through videos and books and find out if your kid is even interested in the mining business or not. Because the crypto world requires your time and energy, and if your kid is not willing to give that determination and dedication, then there is no use of wasting your money.
When I studied programming in schloll, we probably studied theory for 3 months and drew a block diagram. I hated programming after that. Until my close friend put me at the computer and helped me write the Hello World program. I got more value in these 10 minutes than in 3 months of schooling. For a child, practice on modern equipment is interesting, and not theory and work on ancient devices.

As long as Eth mining will continue meaning as long as Eth will not go Pos,GPU mining is not going to die,in fact the prices of GPU-s if you check local or international marketplaces are really high. However in this time when the difficulty of mining Eth is 11.5 P and a 500 Mhsh rig can just do like 30-35 dollars a day is not what it used to be and the profit is slowly going down day by day although it still remains the most profitable coin to mine.
I personally do not believe much in PoS as it has already been said here what is the value behind that,I don't see any real value and you need a large amount of ETH to be staked in order to have a saying how the coin will develop further.I will just keep mining the hell out of Eth and if it ever goes PoS there is RVN,ERGO and ETC as the next best thing to mine so GPU mining can be considered far from dead.
Last time I counted, Ethereum mining had 60 times more GPUs than RVN mining. The situation is similar for other coins. If 1/3 of the Ethereum equipment will mine other coins, then the profit there will be minimal, like in 2019. What will the other 2/3 video cards do?

An X1 slot won't hold a GPU, there's no lock and only one lane gripping the GPU. It's hard enough just keeping the risers properly seated.
This will be a very great graphics card for the manufacturer. It is very strange why no one had thought of making videocards with the x1 port before. The textolite will constantly break, and this will not be a warranty case for the manufacturer. You can try to order a special batch in China

Hey everyone, I have a 6900 XT on the X16 slot and it works fine by itself. When I install 2 GTX 1070’s with a X1 to X16 Riser, windows lags and freezes a lot and I can barely move my mouse. All GPU’s get detected but when I start mining one of the GTX 1070’s disconnect amd the temperature of it is reported 0. I know both 1070’s work because they work perfectly bythemselves in the X16 slot. Why does the pc become unusable with the risers? I have a B550 Carbon and a RM750. Thanks.
Which windows do you use. I would recommend you Windows 10 Pro 2019 versions. Newer versions are not needed. Install 2 GTX 1070s in X16 ports on the motherboard and connect the 6900 XT with a riser. This is for testing purposes only. The GTX 1070 is a great video card for mining, and works great with or without a raiser. I use Windows 11. I can’t plug the 6900 xt on a riser because it is custom watercooled and the way the watercooling tubes go inside the GPU don’t allow it to be plugged in to another slot other than X16. So I have to keep the 6900 XT at the X16 slot. I am going to try HiveOS and see what happens. I know the 1070’s work in X16 because I tried them in the X16 slot of my friend’s pc I am 80% sure that your problem will be solved when you install Windows 10. Windows 11 is not the best operating system for mining on older video cards. It will probably be faster to install the hive OS. All 3 video cards consume no more than 500 watts and the motherboard no more than 100 watts, this does not seem to be a problem with a power supply.

Do you have artifacts in BIOS or when installing drivers? If not, find any small hard drive to install your new operating system and see the results. Or check in Hive OS. To remove drivers, you can try DDU - Display Driver Uninstaller. Does your graphics card have a warranty?

What is the cost of electricity for you? AsRock H510 Pro BTC + €196 LC-Power Estrattore Edi1800W €225 MSI GeForce RTX 3070 € 1190 You also need memory, hard drive, processor and case for the mining farm. https://whattomine.com/gpus/64-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070-lhr?cost=0.1Write down the cost of electricity and calculate your return on investment. Only I advise you to increase the result by 2.5 times, because after the end of Ethereum mining, everything will change a lot. Thanks for your reply! I live in Switzerland. The price are in CHF. I do not have any cost of electricity. The RTX 3070 would be less than 1000 euro. It is a good price for you ? What case do you suggest ? In my country, such a video card costs 1150-1200 euros. I understand that Switzerland has a high level of salaries. Mining will not be unprofitable for you, but the profit will be very small. If you want to learn how to mine, then this is a good buy, later you can increase the number of video cards in the farm up to 6 pcs.

Do you only have one card in your system for both display and mining? It will often crash/error if you connect your monitor to your mining GPU. Try to connect your display to on-board GPU, and leave mining card for mining only. If your motherboard doesn't have an on-board GPU, well, try mining with mining OS such as simplemining, etc.
Yeah, I only have a one card. I've never had a crash while mining, I hope I don't. Thanks for your comment. Try changing your memory settings to the smallest ones. I have a similar situation with an AMD RX480 8GB graphics card. Errors have been appearing for a long time, but the video card has been mining for 5 years. Better use MSI Afterburner for setting Core 1150-1200 Power limit -10 -15 Memory from stock values up to 2100. I have problems with higher memory frequency 2000 on AMD RX580 8 GB
my settings is: -30 max frequency (952 mHZ) -30 power limit -100 mHZ for RAM (1900 mHZ) Core voltage is 0 (i don't use) I just hope this problem comes out while digging. I don't want to mess up the card. 952 mHZ is very low for the core. -30 power limit is also a very large decrease Try at least 1050 mHZ and -20 power limit and see how the video card works. But it is best to make settings using a wattmeter, then you will see which settings affect energy consumption and which do not.

If you need to quickly connect 2 video cards and you need 5 connectors 4 x6 + 2pin PCI-E. The power supply has 8 connectors for connection, but the specifications indicate 4 x6 + 2pin PCI-E and 2 x (4 + 4) 8pin CPU. If I understand correctly, then 2 connectors are still free. You need another 6 + 2pin PCI-E cable. Perhaps it is universal, and it can be used from other broken power supplies. Such cables cost 7-10 dollars. >> If I understand correctly, then 2 connectors are still free. You need another 6 + 2pin PCI-E cable. trust me i got few cables lying around, just not sure how to know if it is universal or not !... Just do a store check if possible and check the voltage with a multimeter. Or ask a question to technical support. I'm used to using a Corsair or Cougar, so I already have a lot of different additional cables due to the breakdown of several power supplies. 8 x 8/6-Pin PCIE connector With such a power supply, you can install a third RTX 3080 video card.

using server psu is doable & cheap, but to loud for mining in home, my advice is using evga platinum series if you want get lot of pcie cable or using pcie splitter, and yeah you can buy pcie cable from aliexpress, the cheapest and best psu for bucks is antec hcp series, trully outstanding and long lasting psu With aliexpress, delivery is now very long, because there are a lot of orders at the end of the year and there are long queues at customs. It is better to look for devices in your city and in the communities of miners. Look for such communities in telegram or other messengers.

I did not understand how these experts conducted their tests. All tests must be carried out synchronously and on the same video cards. Of course, you need to count the received shares, but in practice the difference is not big. The problem can also be in the case of excessive overclocking and the mining farm is unstable.
All important points but as you say the difference is not big, and it's not big enough to be significant. But it's being used to claim dishonesty in hash reporting when there are many other factors that could cause bigger differences. The history is a feud between 2 closed source miners and claims of which was the fastest. One of the miner's devs decided to prove it with a challenge and a test tool. The feud seemed to have died down but this may be an attempt to revive it. It is very important for a miner to achieve stable work from a mining farm. For example, I use T-Rex, I learned how to fine tune this miner for my AMD video cards. No article will convince me to change the miner, because even if I lose 1-3% of the shares, this will not greatly affect my profit. Miners do not pay attention to such articles, because they understand that identical video cards can have different hash rates and different overclocking options.
