This guy (most likely) is a long-time scammer on the forum who has had at least a dozen accounts going all the way back to 2014. Many of his recent alts for this year are listed here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5261169.0

He is quite chatty with everyone and has sent me several pms from several different accounts, as well as leaving 14 different trust ratings calling me a pedophile. He's banned now, so that's good, will probably be able to get some of his other accounts banned now.
3842  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could 2018 repeat itself? Price approaching 20K and high fees followed by crash on: November 17, 2020, 04:37:15 AM
It would appear that fee spikes occur for 2 reasons combined:

- an increase in network demand on the network, most notably when people are moving coins on and off exchanges, and

- an unfavorable shift in hash rate or mining difficulty that makes it harder to mine blocks within 10 minutes of each other.

After both things have been occurring simultaneously for a while, a backlog of transactions develops and fees rise. One thing or the other might be tolerable but when both happen, the network overloads and fees go up. It's kind of unavoidable.
3843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Bitcoin Cash ABC (BCHA) dead? on: November 17, 2020, 04:31:54 AM
According to coin.dance, BCHA hasn't added a new block since block #661656, which is 227 blocks behind BCHN. It would appear BCHA is being traded on a number of exchanges, but all that can take place independent of BCHA's ability to add blocks to its chain.

The lack in block production is confirmed by checking a Bitcoin Cash ABC explorer:

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-abc

The last block was found on 11/16, almost 24 hours ago! Before that it was adding blocks one every 3 to 10 hours. This is because its hash rate has been reduced to almost nothing, and it would appear it might soon be abandoned. That's my guess anyway. What do you think is going to happen with BCHA?
3844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bch fork on: November 17, 2020, 04:21:46 AM
I am one of those who consider BCH forks as an opportunity to make money, because usually if a forks occurs it will make the BCH price pump.
And it is possible that the current BCH forks will not work as well as the previous ones, so there is a possibility that the BCH price may not go up
as expected. And my fear happened, November 15th has passed but there is no increase in BCH prices. Luckily I bought not much BCH.

The last time BCH had a fork and BSV was born, both coins ended up being worth less than the price of BCH pre-split. Sure, there's chances to trade here and there, but since the whole thing isn't nearly as much a spectacle as then, I imagine trading the fork will be boring and likely end in losses for most involved.
3845  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [NEW PRICE] ProfitBot | A gambling script that works. (0.01+ BTC per hour) on: November 16, 2020, 04:32:35 AM
This sounds to good to be true.
Has anyone tried this and can report?  Wink

I since learned a lot more about scripts and have my own for martingale-esque betting, and the bottom line is regardless what script you are using, there's no escaping the house edge. Thus, no bot is profitable in the long term - and if it is, it is only by luck. (That's my belief anyway, read below for the exception).

There is one dude on bustadice who is up 88 BTC over 2 years and 1 million bets, ghostnipple. I don't know how he does it, but he makes me think it's possible to predict the behavior of a seed somehow.

He was also down over 3 BTC at one point, so... I've heard the theory that he has insider information; of course that would be the obvious one. Otherwise who knows what's actually going on.
3846  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspicious Signature campaign Hex.com on: November 16, 2020, 02:00:15 AM
Richard Heart couldnt buy Andreas Antonopulos with 10 BTC but he bought one of the most trusted and reputable members of this forum for few hundreds of dollars and all those that joined the campaign. That says a lot about bitcointalk forum.

Huge difference here. Hhampuz is being hired to run a bounty, not "speak well" of HEX. Hhampuz is more of an advertising agent -- he is providing a service for hire. Aantop, on the other hand, is more of a spokesman and influencer. People buy coins based on what he has to say. So really it doesn't say anything about the forum.
3847  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Thinking of joining the HEX campaign? Think again. on: November 16, 2020, 01:19:58 AM
Hex is still controversial in my opinion because it says the Ponzi scheme is right by providing high annual rewards.

After having read the HEX "layman's guide," there's a couple different ways to approach defining what HEX is:

1. HEX is not a Ponzi scheme as it will always pay out what the terms of staking dictate (whereas Ponzis always eventually collapse and stop paying). It's also not a MLM per se as it only has 1 level of referrals.

2. HEX is a Ponzi scheme because it requires an ever-increasing influx of new users in order to keep the price growing, or just stable. Those already in will constantly try to recruit new holders to prop the price up.

If you choose to go with #2, well then you have to account for the fact that most (if not all) cryptocurrencies are at least somewhat inflationary and require word-of-mouth in order to attract new investors (aka, people to sell your bags to).

The difference between HEX and most other cryptos is that HEX does not purport to do anything other than go up in value. It has no plans to be a means of currency; after all, Ethereum already does that, and if people want a currency they would just use ETH as they need it to transact HEX (an ETH token) anyway.

Final assessment: HEX is a worthless shit token led by a douchebag, but it is not a scam.
3848  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling top at $16500 (Even Newer!: $2483 bottom 19 Feb 2021 MtGox said so!) on: November 16, 2020, 01:02:52 AM
No matter what it's turned into, the initial call was certainly on point and delivered at the right time.

His "initial call" was off by over 15% and the market was long overdue for a correction at that point, so I'm not particularly impressed. In addition, he's been wrong every step of the way since Jan 2018. He's carried the rest of this thread with attitude and pretension, and somehow people were once again suckered into believing confidence = wisdom. In this case, "wisdom" infers:

1. fighting the effects of massive inflation created by the Federal Reserve, and
2. losing a shitload of money to affinity scam forks (twice).

Some people just enjoy being wrong I suppose.
3849  Other / Meta / Re: Moderator deletion of serious discussion in the Wall Observer on: November 16, 2020, 12:13:05 AM
Yeah don't do that.

We can pretty much moderate ourselves.

To those for whom nullius posts actually pose a problem, there's the Ignore button -- it works quite well, I should know. I like the off-topic-ness of that thread and appreciate the opportunity to banter with some of the regulars about any subject that is slightly or more interesting.

Am not sure if I ever had a post removed from WO by a mod, ever.

3851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 15, 2020, 10:28:04 PM
Follow live: https://cash.coin.dance/

Should take a few days. Some exchanges have already split both - Depends on exchanges.

During the morning hours before fork activation, the crypto trading exchange Coinex changed the futures market from BCHN and BCHA to BCH and BCHA to represent the split. At the time of publication, spot prices for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) on Coinex are $243 per unit while ABC’s airdrop token is $15.82 per unit. On Poloniex the ABC airdrop is swapping for $14 against USDT pairs, and on Coinflex ABC is trading for $11 per unit.

Dang. ABC really shot themselves in the foot here... I absolutely have to wonder: what were they thinking?? What good is getting 8% of miner rewards per block going to be if the total miner reward per block is only worth $100?

Well its good for about $8, I guess.

I followed that cash.coin.dance site during the BSV split -- they did a good job at keeping track of the war. This time around something peculiar has happened: the incumbent party (ABC) has stopped producing blocks! ABC only produced 3 blocks since block #661650. I know they have some sort of auto-difficulty adjustment mechanism in place to prevent them from never producing another block again (due to the lingering high difficulty pre-split), but as of right now they are literally 39 blocks behind BCHN.
3852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 15, 2020, 09:49:21 PM
my prop bet for this game: Bucs ml + Brown Anytime score+ Brady 2+ pass TD total odds 3.78

So close... Brown did have a good game, just not as good as you were hoping. I have to say, its "good" to see him back in action (despite all his drama and the roadblocks created by his personality). He's gonna be a great asset for TB so long as he can stop himself from doing anything too stupid off field.

Seahawks ML @2.30

I thought for sure Seattle would be the favorites on this game, but nope. Even as a Rams fan I think this is a solid bet... though Rams did just take the lead again in the 1st quarter.

Tua Tagvailoa (sp) seems to be off to another good start, beating the Chargers 14-0 thus far. He's gonna be fun to watch for the rest of the season.
3853  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Thinking of joining the HEX campaign? Think again. on: November 15, 2020, 09:23:51 PM
Richard doesnt like what people say about HEX here on bitcointalk so he decided to buy that support with money.  Hhampuz just started Hex signature campaign and many others are joining the campaign. Some of them even said in this topic that Hex is ponzi, but when they saw payrate and who is managing it, they changed their mind. What is next, BSV signature campaign? Cheesy

Well, I don't think Hhampuz would take this campaign if he hadn't already received funds to pay campaign participants. So while I'm not exactly happy to see such a wanton moneygrab being advertised via signature on the forum, at least there is a quality control element that only Hhampuz and a select handful of others can provide.

It does not appear as though he is in crypto for the good of crypto - but simply to profit from it

This is frustratingly common.

Damn man, that was a really good catch. Can you link the post where you put that image earlier? Is it already in this thread or a similar one?

I noticed there was something just a little bit fishy about this guy and actually suspected it was Rambotnic building up a new account. First, he told an insane story about how he had a hard drive with bitcoins on it and his grandfather turned it into a keyholder. He managed to rack up a few merits there. Then he started posting betting predictions that were just awful, telling small lies about the outcome of his bet.

I Won

Krasnodar 0:3 and Spartak Moscorw 2:1

And lost Boton 2:1 and Anderleht 2:2.

I cashouted then Boston was 0:1 and Anderleht 0:0 around 0.037 ETH

No, you lost. You bet Spartak Moscow to win and they tied. You picked a 4 game parlay and you lost 3 of 4 games. If people would have bet how you bet, they would have lost.

Even cashing out before your first official loss at 0.037 ETH results in a net loss of 0.013 ETH.

Hi

Oh, lol, i saw that Spartak played 2:2

Here is screen of my cashout https://i.ibb.co/qg8zwqF/image.png

He's been kind of silent for a while, maybe he knew it wasn't gonna work out and moved on.
3856  Economy / Reputation / Re: Arcas -- Bought account? on: November 12, 2020, 10:58:17 PM
haha are you serious? accusing me from changing accounts while nutildah was the one who tried to sell his account a while ago
lmao

That was now over 4 years ago, in 2016, before the forum really exploded in popularity. A lot of accounts that are high ranked today used to buy and sell accounts back then or before then. Since then, the potential for damage caused by the fake reputation given to a scammer (such as yourself) has increased considerably.

What's considerably tagworthy in your instance is the fact that you are stirring shit on the forum under the direction of game-protect, and you keep switching to new accounts in order to evade red trust. So regardless of whether or not your account was hacked or purchased, you should be tagged for the reasons gosha@e-coin was tagged, as that is also your account.
3857  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet $15,000 confiscated due to US Citizenship on: November 12, 2020, 05:27:48 AM
I have walked away- for weeks.

That's not how walking away works!

I'm still awaiting any update from Cloudbet on the case.

Then you haven't actually walked away. Seriously bro. This isn't good for your mental health.

I won't comment on this any further but just know what you're doing doesn't look good to anybody.

3859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 11, 2020, 12:27:31 PM
I dont know much about forking ,  does it means if i have been 1BCH so i will have 1 BCHN too? BCH will be still alive or it will be completely destroy and change its name    Huh

You presented 2 potential outcomes, so lets go through them individually:

1. Yes. So long as when you say 1 BCH you mean 1 BCHABC. You will also have 1 BCHN.
2. It's hard to know for sure at this point but it looks like BCHABC will fold soon after the fork, given the fact that it isn't supported by much hash power.

My advice would logically be to sell the BCHABC ASAP.

Actually on second thought, my advice would be to sell BCH now, given what happened last time around (hint: the price of both BCH and BSV combined doesn't equal the price of BCH pre-split).
3860  Economy / Reputation / Re: Arcas -- Bought account? on: November 11, 2020, 12:22:57 AM

Well, what's worrying is that he has a +9 green trust rating beside the many untrusted positives. A quick search relates that account with aomakun; both users have only sent 2 merit units and it's been between them.

This aomakun guy also changed his password earlie this year, in february. Used to post a lot in Indonesian boards, but 0 activity there since 2018. Post quality/english was not the greatest and that hasn't changed, but posting boards sure have. This may even be the next account used to try to extor another casino

You're absolutely right -- looks like it was purchased at about the same time by the same person, for the same reason.

I notice BitcoinAccepted was wearing the Wolf.bet signature, and that campaign has been "paused" since August. So he's not actually in the campaign, neither is aomakun in the Idena bounty. The merit transfer kind of seals the connection. Also neutral tagging aomakun for now.
