3841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Grand Lotto Winner on: July 11, 2022, 08:41:33 PM
Lottery jackpot winners must be careful about who approaches them, because the main reason why it's happening it's due to their recently received prize. People want to be their friends, partners and romantic affairs to take advantage of the winners, what can also lead to abuses, scams and even crimes on worst cases. I say that because I've already seen this happening in my country when a elder won a considerable sum of money on the lottery and instantly engaged in a new relationship with a woman who ended murdering him for his money.

Depending where lotto winners live, it's highly suggested they move to a safe area or neighborhood as soon as they receive their rewards.

What can be done to a bounty manager that failed to update the spreadsheet since the beginning of a bounty campaign till the end of the campaign and even after he did nothing, if you are wearing such signature campaign what will you do? Since you need to promote another project.
I think I wouldn't wear the banner till the end of the campaign on that case, because I would be seriously worried about the possibility of not being paid after all. When contact with a bounty manager is too difficult and his messages or guidelines are unclear, I prefer to not get involved with the campaign to avoid issues later. However, what can be done to a bounty manager who can't work efficiently is up to potential hirers who will analyze his history of previous jobs and choose to employ him or not. Bounty hunters can do nothing besides giving their legit feedback to the manager.
3843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 10, 2022, 11:22:25 PM
Yes, we all have the freedom to continue or not. But with the younger ones today, they're easy become hooked on something they do like gambling.
And when they're there being addicted, they can't stop and handle it all of it and that's how they are ending up miserably because it's hard for them to admit that they're addicted and they can't help themselves to get out of it.
It is the fact when we do something good we credit ourself and when something bad happens we blame others.
Likewise - if we a winner gambler - we will take the credit and if we are a looser gambler we will blame others. most of the the time we also keep fighting with our parents for all the bad which comes in life. That is such a mess. But one thing is for sure - gambling is not transfer through DNA.
Yeah, you don't want that to happen someday that your kid will blame you that they've became addicted in gambling because of you. Despite them the ones taking actions and decisions of their lives and when they've became miserable due to gambling, they'll be blaming you as the parent because you did nothing and they'll put the blame on your genes and they've just inherited it. Sounds funny but it could happen because there are people that are just looking for someone to blame for for their misfortune.
That is true, and also a good reason to be careful with who you introduce to gambling, directly or indirectly, because if people you referred have any issues later with their betting behavior, you are the one who is going to be blamed for everything. Funny thing is that even when someone isn't introduced or incentivized to gamble by anyone, they still find a way to avoid their own mistakes by blaming gambling itself!

But after these studies explaining gambling behavior can be inherited, there are serious chances it can become a new trend among problem gamblers to justify their actions and avoid consenting any faults on their side...
3844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Policy Symposium 2022 (Bitcoin included?) on: July 10, 2022, 07:01:51 PM
Third: Where Bitcoin will be accepted, without needing us to brag, because it has been proven that several large companies, which once mocked and mocked Bitcoin, have now turned to invest most of their money in Bitcoin.
Probably this phase is going to start on the next bull run which will eventually lead bitcoin to a new ATH. I expect this to happen by 2025, because that is enough time for the traditional economies policies fail due to inflation, so investors will have to come back to crypto investments in order to protect their funds against devalued fiat currencies, including dollar. Moreover, bitcoin halving is going to have a major impact on price, as always.

I also see a considerable increasement on the demand for crypto services and financial platforms, which will completely replace traditional banks' services for many people around the world. Not because crypto is a trend, but because the features and advantages offered to customers here are much superior.

Now FUN token balance is displaying again correctly, but besides the one wheel spin I had lost before, all the others have disappeared as well, lol.
3846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: General Information: Bet-at-home license suspended on: July 10, 2022, 06:58:06 AM
Regulators are more attentive to gambling companies than ever. It must be due to the fact gambling is getting really popular these days with so many people, especially young ones adopting this activity on their daily life for different reasons that go from entertainment to an attempt to make money for a living. Businessmen from gambling industry have no choice besides adapting themselves to the imposed rules, otherwise they aren't going to operate anything on this industry anymore, although there is still the possibility of going anonymous and operating a casino without legal licenses and registers anywhere.

Strange day, indeed. My free wheel spin received today through email is already expired after few hours, I received one less wheel spin from premium program than I should, my FUN held tokens aren't showing correctly (although when I click 'YOUR LOCKED SAVINGS' button they do). I think I'm going to wait freebitco.in fix it before rolling my spins, so they can compensate me the one that is missing, right?
Have you check your account today and do you still have the same problem?

Its been a while since I last visit the site. I already have 405 WOF and my locked fun tokens are still there and accurate.

The site still works fine and im not experiencing any similar problem.
Yes, still the same problem. The site was working fine by the beginning of the afternoon, when it suddenly stopped working for a while (server not reachable, something like this). After several hours I came back online, site was working again, but I faced those mentioned issues.

Probably it's just a temporary bug that is going to be fixed soon. I'm not too worried about it, but I just feel bad for losing one free spin from email and another from premium program which disappeared for no reason.

Unfortunatelly these games don't last long for common players, because there are many cheater players using bots and other shady strategies to raise their profits. So it's necessary to enjoy the beginning of the game, while those cheaters and abusers aren't too strong and influent.
Actually there is always like this. In every game there are abusers and cheaters since not all games are perfect and these guys are trying to beat the game and earning unfair compared to other players. But of course depend on how developer will handle the game right?

Try gog too its what Ive trusted so much but its not yet launch yet.
I've already started playing Ni No Kuni. The game is great, well polished, beautiful on its style, and reminded MIR4 even more on its features, although not only on the positive aspects, unfortunatelly, since the game is taken by bots everywhere. But as you said, it all depend on how developers handle the issue. I just hope they aren't negligent like WeMade, which is the developer company of MIR4. I'm lvl 29 right now with swordsman class.

Try gog too its what Ive trusted so much but its not yet launch yet.
Thanks for this another suggestion, I'm going to follow Guild of Legends from now on to start playing as soon as they release it. They are still in pre-alpha tests.

One game I still like very much, although I haven't played recently, is Lost Relics. Do you know this one?

Are there any recent problems with the site when manually betting in hi / lo?

sometimes one click of a button takes 10 seconds to draw a number
Multiplier delivers results almost always instantly. Uncommonly, numbers keep mixing for too long without showing any results. Then it might be a temporary interruption on your internet or the server, who knows... Anyway, it's not enough to annoy a gambling session, although it's sufficient to chill down the spine.

Sometimes the history of bets takes a while to update. I've seen this happening to me twice, but I assume it's normal... You just have to refresh the page few times and wait some seconds or a minute and the history will be shown correctly.

What famous game now is the nino Kuni but I dont played that game but youll earn some tokens from the game which can be traded and sell for money. Im not sure how much is the profit but it seems its really free to play this game. Im suggeating this cause their developer and this game is known and famous. So likely youll dont end up posting rants on a scam free p2e. It even trending now on playstore. Just checked them out, for details.
.
I wasn't aware about this game. Thank you very much for the suggetion. I'm going to try this out. It has come in a very good moment since I was beating my brains out in an attempt to discover play to earn opportunities at crypto market right now. The concept somehow reminds me MIR4 (mmorpg, to mine ore in game feature to make real money and even the currency's quotation format).

Unfortunatelly these games don't last long for common players, because there are many cheater players using bots and other shady strategies to raise their profits. So it's necessary to enjoy the beginning of the game, while those cheaters and abusers aren't too strong and influent.
3852  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unexpected Death? on: July 09, 2022, 06:09:11 AM
Shinzo Abe, former Prime Minister of Japan shot dead. Once after this incidents entire stocks in Japan have fallen. Though he is a former Prime Minister, he should've been given even better security. A country like Japan which is a leader to technology and innovation failing in security is really bad. Same time it has the stricter gun control law. The person who shot him have made the gun of his own.

Japan being a crypto friendly country it has got more real-time usage of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Does this incident have any impact over the cryptocurrency market.
I'm shocked for what happened to him. I always thought this is the kind of thing that would never happen in Japan, because japanese people are popular for being polite, honoured, civilized and pacific (at least on our modern days). I would like to understand why someone would want to murder him cowardly behind his back.

About stocks falling, it might be the trigger for some investors to protect their funds from this temporary dump through cryptocurrency and bitcoin, more specifically. But I don't expect it's going to cause a big impact, anyway. Otherwise, bitcoin should be rising right now, while in fact it's stable and losing value a little bit...
3853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Payouts in casinos on: July 08, 2022, 07:37:13 PM
Payouts rates are ranging from 98,48% to 96,73%. That is not a big difference between the highest to the lowest payout rate on this list. There is a button there to check more 90 casinos payouts, but when I click it, the page just refreshes or redirects to the same page containing top 10 only.

I guess the slight difference between them is due to gamblers' luck at the present time, but it doesn't mean one casino is better than another for this reason. Maybe it's just a temporary scenario and a casino with 97% payout today will hit 98% tomorrow, and a currently one at 98% range may decrease to 97% or 96% after a while.
3854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Government Owned Online Casinos What Do You Think Of Its Potential on: July 08, 2022, 08:02:02 AM
I think there's no such country that totally depends on casinos for their revenue.

I dont think it will be a good idea for a country to totally depend on casino for their revenue, but I think it will be better if they have another source which they can use to get their revenue, atleast I believe if they make revenue from that it's going to help the citizens because it will reduce the tax which people in the country will be paying. I believe they are definitely going to be making money from casino.
Sometimes it's all they have to offer, due to the limited territory size, so they have to attract money from outside through foreigners and tourists to keep their local economy running. Gambling is the main activity, but the whole touristic sector is benefited from this tradition, employing majority of local citizens at hotels, restaurants, casinos and so on... Without physical gambling I believe the economy would be severely harmed, because many people would lose their jobs, since virtual casinos demand less workers and offer less services compared to the land based casinos which offer meals, drinks, snacks and live shows.
3855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is the story of my investment in Bitcoin on: July 08, 2022, 06:32:34 AM
I don't know why I find this story so weird. In as much as I am very much sure that owning 1btc is a good business and you will never regret it, but the huddles that you passed through to own the 1btc doesn't really worth it.

Maybe I am just being me here. If you have a nice source of income, an initial investment of $6k is not bad, I wonder why you acted as if there was gun on your head.

I would not be able to live a debt life for two years in order to make massive profits, especially when it involves investing in a volitile assets. Let's assume your story is real, then assume that btc goes to $10k, what will be your state of health?
I don't know if what the OP did was too bold or a bad move, because owing someone else to invest in something as volatile as bitcoin is definitely not the right move, investing in bitcoin is a good move if we have the funds cold or personal, but by borrowing other people money we will only increase fear when the market goes down like this especially when the debt is due, I agree with you, it's better to invest $6K with the money we have and at least we can sleep no matter what the conditions happend, rather than of having 1 BTC, but we are overwhelmed by fear and trouble due to debt.
To borrow money from a relative is somehow better, because the deal can be re-negotiated friendly if something goes wrong, but the worst part of this story is to be in debt with the bank. They are going to charge 10% annually for the loan! And there aren't any guarantees bitcoin will double its price soon, but he will have to repay the loan without any excuses, with or without profit from bitcoin fluctuations.

In my opinion it's one of the biggest mistakes someone can commit in financial world. Banks' loans aren't an option because they are abusive, treacherous in case you don't repay them on time and give no real benefits to the borrower after all. It's better to not have money to invest or invest low amounts of money than contracting a debt with a bank.
3856  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 08, 2022, 03:24:19 AM
3000 BC – A pair of dice was recovered from an Egyptian tomb dating back 5000 years.

I've seen this dice is from Greece and by looking the symbols more carefully it really makes sense they are more similar to greek ones.

THE HISTORY OF GAMBLING IN ANCIENT GREECE

Interesting how the ancient world was closely associated to gambling. People believed gods controlled every aspects of their daily life, including gambling outcomes.

During the wars, it was common for soldiers and mercenaries to gamble at their campsites to relieve the tension and escape the blood bath for a while. Legend says dice game was invented during the siege of Troy, by a man named Palamedes, although it's not an accurate statement, since dice was already disponible since a long before.

Achilles and Ajax playing dices

Sports betting have also been present since the ancient Greece at least, during Olympic games, on its origins.
3857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker claims to have stolen 1 B records of Chinese citizens, demands 10 BTC on: July 08, 2022, 02:22:03 AM
A supposedly hacker stated that he/ has stolen at least a billion of Chinese citizens record. The Shanghai National Police (SHGA) data was leaked with those information like: name, address, birthplace, national ID number, mobile number, all crime/case details.”
It looks a complete banquet for telemarketing sector of companies which have the masses as their target public. I don't know how is the approach of these services in China, but if it were in my country, my phone would be already ringing, receiving calls and messages all day long from those companies offering services and also from unknown senders trying to scam money.

Our informations aren't safe anywhere at this point, doesn't matter if under private or public vigilance. There are people profiting and making a living selling data from others to different buyers over internet and all you can do is to filter what kind of content you take in consideration on your phone register and email.
3858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to staking - is this worth it? on: July 08, 2022, 12:37:13 AM
I wouldn't trust in such interest rates being guaranteed. 5%-6% annually is usually what most investments can return, now imagine 18,5%. There is something catchy between the lines... Don't expect 18,5% profit, because when the interest is too high, it means the currency is going to lose a lot of value as the time goes by, so the interest received compensate the devaluation of the token. Similar to countries paying high interest on saving accounts annually, but with high inflation rates at same time. They give with one hand and take away with the other.

If besides the interest rate there is nothing else this cryptocurrency offers to you, I think it's better to not invest.
Honestly, 18.5% is very attractive, and greedy people will think I'll be earning huge if I invest and staked. But, they never think about the risk of such an idea, as it was likely impossible for the company to offer such huge rewards to the holder which in fact, they are just about to start, unless if they are a well-established company.
Yes, it's very attractive, and that is the main reason why people should be thinking about the risks with even more attention and suspicion, because 'there is no such thing as a free lunch', as people usually say. But as you said, invsetors get greedy and think they can easily turn small sums of money into millions by investing on these hyips, as they don't have patience to go through realistic methods, or due to they thinking there isn't enough lifetime anymore to invest in projects and platforms which offer inferior interest rates, since it will take too long until making considerable profit, so they can enjoy it.

3860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 07, 2022, 10:10:46 PM
After this experience I believe gambling is for the big bag holders, if you're in urge of making a win. Very much disappointed, because it is the last few dollars I had as a cryptocurrency holding. If I had more funds I wouldn't have encountered this big loss. Martingale once again a failed strategy when you don't have big bag of money.

You are just a failed gambler.

Lol don't be too harsh, OP is just frustrated and needs to vent out his frustration.  So please go easy on him.

Apology to OP if it looked at that way but sometimes we need to go hard on a person just to realize his mistakes.

That's not even a harsh statement, to begin with. In OP's story, instead of realizing that he did a mistake, he still ends up at the conclusion that bag holders can take advantage of the martingale which is not. Even how large our bankroll is, martingale will surely wreck that large bankroll.

A whale is surely starting on above $1 minimum bet or even more if they will use martingale. Just do the math for consecutive losses. The house edge also plays a big role and betting in the long run, we already know what happened next in most cases.
It's true nobody can manage to make martingale work on long run, but the probability someone with a large bankroll can make profit and last longer alive on game is much superior than someone who is playing on low budget. For a big bag holder, it's simple to profit decently on short run, because he can place more expensive bets, with higher winning chances and receive a reasonable profit back or can simply endure severe loss streaks without going busted. For wealthy investors the key point is to know when to stop, so they won't be caught by the house edge.

Moreover, as soon as profit is made, it should be invested and grown, so the gambling activity can continue being recurrent, without risking the entire gambler's funds in counterpart.
