Whenever you see such signs know it is going to end in scam. Any serious project will ensure that the bounty manager updates the spreadsheet. Sometimes projects that behave like that are project which manage the bounties by themselves or they get low rank accounts to do it. This is why bounty hunters should know this things and always watch out for accounts that manage this bounties. You did not mention the project or manager. You have to do that so members here will advise you well and DT members can know whether to red tag them or not.

Stop joining the current bounties he manages. Reporting to the project parties that the BM they recruited did not do the job professionally, marking the BM and warning other future projects not to hire him.

Sometimes creating a particular thread in the Reputation board can help BM remedy his performance.

@joeperry you are making a double stand response to the Op question. More op is talking regard to bounty and not signature campaigns. We see that signature campaign don't have that kind of issue here and when there few that is suspected to be untrusted because of the new account they are immediately busted and users are warned to it. That is good here on signature campaigns but bounty is not. Bounty is very risky. Why will bounty manager will not update spreadsheet for the end of bounty like a month and 3 months of bounty? That is clear scam sign. A serious bounty will do update of spreadsheet regularly at minimum. Spreadsheet is to help for things being clear to everyone participating and the management.

Nothing to be done. what you need to do to watch the spreadsheet at the end of the campaign. Some managers may so lazy to update this. I know how you feel it but that's manager's choice. I have ever participated in the campaign that managed by the bounty manager that didn't even wanna update the spreadsheet until it was close to the date for the distribution. This is not a problem as long as the reward will be matched with our stakes.

Actually the only thing you can do is talk to them properly to give you an update. If his not yet complying then his an incompetent one, its his job to gige you that and make his work since he is on contract service to a project. Better get on board where you trust the manager. There are hundreds of bounties on this forum and new are added every other day. It’s better to only enrol yourself with the manager whose trusted for the bounties. There are plenty of the names who are highly skilled managers and they themselves should choose the bounties carefully so that their reputation  will be preserved along with the users happiness of enrolling into perfect bounty. Already we have fake bounties and managers, it would be worthless if work for months and months and at the end get scammed. So stay cautious from the beginning.

If the project goes down and the manager doesn't continue to respond to those questions, you can stop participating and treat it as your own mistake. It is a big problem if the manager only check and update the sheet at the end of the campaign.  There will be lots of errors and discrepancy.  It would be unfair to the bounty participants because their effort is unjustly validated.

That is the ordinary thing to do but good manager do random check within the week to see if someone is cheating the campaign.  Like for example, there is a case where a signature participant joined 2 different campaign at the same time.  He cheat the campaign by changing signature materials during the scheduled counting thus getting paid in both campaigns.

It's not as if you will be able to red tag the bounty manager, just make sure you remember his or her name and never join is campaigns anymore, there is only two bounty managers that are very serious with bounties job lately, that's Cryptopreneurbrainboss and Hhampuz, choose projects from these two you will have less bad result.

AFAIK, bounty managers have their own telegram group where you can ask such questions related to the bounty and about updates like the spreadsheet things.

If this really happens, you have the right to ask it the Bounty Manager. You can ask it in their telegram group so that it can be commented on and replied to. Sometimes, you may meet different Bounty Manager, but a professional BM will commonly finish the spreadsheet as soon as possible after the week ends or the project ends. They will also update information clearly.

I don't know such bounty manager exist. If he is a legitimate bounty manager he wouldn't put his name at stake. So either the bounty is a proxy of a scam project or he totally don't give a thing about you guys. If that is the case then you could ask trusted members here for them to tagged them with proofs of course, that way they may stop further bounty manager with such attitude.

* make a post on the thread if he refuses to reply in pm
* if he doesn't reply to you in all ways you've made, better to move on and join another project as it is pretty obvious that was a scam.

Actually, this is not new to bounty campaigns especially when it runs by newbie accounts. That is why we need to consider who is running the campaign and it is better to choose a reputable manager for we are sure that are aware of what it happens.
