3841  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying the current dip (~30k) on: May 20, 2021, 01:42:10 AM
There are too many negative statements now, from India, Elon musk, and some other news still pointing to bearishness,
I don't know for sure, has bearish taken over bullish? bitcoin can go back to as level at $ 50k.

But it will be counterpart by some good news soon so these dip @ 30k usd is a good opportunity to accumulatd more bitcoin. Weve seen the recent ATH reached and we would rather buy at this price and to wait for that another boom soon. But then again, the market is suffering and so does the long term holders.  As we all know these is how cryptocurrency works. Dip market means a good time to buy more coins.

I think we have reach capitulation already at $30,000'ish so that is a good buy by the OP. And I don't think that it will go further down. Many are buying now so we might see some small gains and maybe can go up to $40,000 again.

For sure there are a lot of traders who are shorting bitcoin at this point that's why the price keeps going down even though there are significant whales and institutions buying at that price. So we will see, I commend the OP for not panicking and instead bought the dip.
3842  Economy / Speculation / Re: Catalyst for recent bitcoin dump on: May 20, 2021, 01:18:48 AM
I wonder what really triggered the price of bitcoin to dump this hard. From its ATH of $65k to $30k, that is already more than 50% dump. I don't think Elon Musk is the only one responsible for this because I often read people only blaming him. It's like ghost month came earlier than we expected.

And also, if institutions and many people are buying this dip then who are these people selling their bitcoin all the way down to earlier's dump. If these people are new to crypto and are panic selling, can it really drive the price this low?

The Elon Musk tweet might have really affected the price. Remember he used to be a supporter of bitcoin, but recently he went full nuts and becoming anti-bitcoin and that might have an impact to most bitcoin investors and then we have selling pressures, newbies panic, so we go on a capitulation 50% or more, and we could call this a crash.

Maybe others are selling because they are afraid that the price could even go further down. And will probably try to re-invest when the market settles down.
3843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 20, 2021, 12:47:08 AM

As i've said before, Casimero have different style than Donaire. The latter is more of a counter puncher while the former is an aggressive fighter that he will take the fight to his opponent. Rigo will be overwhelm by Casimero when bell rings as he eager to prove to his fans that Rigo will not derail his path to a big fight with the Monster.

That's correct, the style of Donaire is very simple, knock his opponent out and he will win.
I saw some of his fights that he struggles, his fight against Walters is one good example, he hit Walters good but he cannot knock him out so instead, Walters knocks him badly. Another good example was his fight with Inoue, he also has some good rounds but he cannot take down Inoue so in the later round he suffers the power of Inoue.

The Nicholas Walters fight is very different for Donaire, that's the first time that he goes up in weight and challenge the champion. And clearly he was out of his league as he gets knock out by Walters. But when he fights his division, he can clearly won.

So it's different style and we can't compare Donaire and Casimero. Rigo is a very slow starter while Casimero will go out in the first early rounds and really try to overwhelm his opponents with power punches.
3844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 19, 2021, 11:41:08 PM
Is the game suspended again? I thought that Karatsev vs Sinner should be over by now as I have put a bet on Karatsev. In any case the match should start in about 10 hours so I can probably watch it.

Never thought that Federer will be upset, although we all know that clay is not his favorite surface so maybe that's the reason he lost. I agree with @Trofo, Roger just testing his conditions, specially his reaction time.

Yes, but the game will resume today in about one hour.

Hard to predict this game, but I will go for Sinner, he had a break out year, and given his form in the last 2 or 3 clay tournaments, this kid is really improving and showing us good tennis, and personally I'm impressed. It's going to be close and I'm seeing probably a 3 sets here. Head to head, it's 1-0 Karatsev in Dubai, but it was a hard fought match as well.

I thought that Karatsev will have an easy match as he won the first set 6-0.

However, Sinner come back strong in the second set, got the early break, but Karatsev come back and trying to force 4-4, however, Sinner hold and then finished the set with a 6-3.

Didn't see the third set but from the score ,it seems the same story, 6-4.
3845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is not disappearing at least until 2140 so HODL! Don't have weak hands! on: May 19, 2021, 12:31:55 AM
I don't have to look that far because I know that bitcoin shall remain. Some talks in the past deal about the quantum computers will make bitcoin suffer and will eventually eradicate it. Well, it's been years since that talk and one fact that others can't accept is that bitcoin is here to stay. No matter how bad they look at it and they truly hate it, there's no way for any person to remove bitcoin in this market because it has existed and dealt with a lot of challenges before and is still keeping with the challenges that are existing today and also in the future.

Yes, most likely by 2038-2042, we will see that "almost all" bitcoin has been mine already.

Regarding Elon Musk, I doubt that he can influence the price with his tweet, people are getting tired of him. And there will be a time that no one will be affected, we have seen crypto influencers come and go, but bitcoin remains and so resilient with FUD's and negative news. And remember that we don't lose money if we are not selling. Our portfolio might be down today, but if you keep on accumulating at this price then chances are we might see a good profit at least at the end of the year, and forgot about Elon for a while.

3847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - June 19 on: May 18, 2021, 10:27:16 PM
Ok now I know where I heard George Kambosos, he used to be Manny Pacquiao's sparring partner, helping him prepare for the Lucas Matthysse fight.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8_4hkOH6OU

I also remember that Porter Jr was once Manny's sparring partner then he became a champion. I'm not saying that Kambosos might upset Lopez here, but having train and seen how Manny train, this guys has somewhat get the blue print on how to become a future champion. With Manny's discipline and hardwork they have seen it from the legend himself.
3848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Arbitration judge orders Fury vs Wilder 3rd fight on: May 18, 2021, 10:06:35 PM
Just when we were done with the Joshua-Fury negotiation soap opera, now we have this drama with the Deontay Wilder legal case. I don't know if this ruling will be enough to derail the Joshua-Fury fight. Fury can either try to come to an agreement with Wilder and pay a step aside fee or he can just ignore the decision and eventually have to pay a lot of money for a breach of contract.

I don't believe their so-called trilogy will ever happen because of this complicated drama that they created themselves. there are too many negotiations and each party wanted to get the most of the money that this Trilogy produces. You also have Wilder's mentality problem, things are not going to be easy to make this fight happen. I don't know if they will still up to this fight by next year. if that will be the case, then there will be no fruit to their negotiations until one party will accept the offer of the other side.

As for me, the trilogy will happen unless they pay Wilder tons of money to step aside but i don't think Wilder will do that as he will get huge amount in this third fight. With restriction being eased up on some countries, i think they can have this fight with fans in attendance so that it can generate more revenue for this mega drama fight  Smiley.

I can speculate that Wilder will push through with the trilogy with Fury, and will not accept the step aside money. He is vented on having his revenge to the point that he mentally breaks down. And now that they heard the news and it's on their favor, for sure this team are now scrambling to get him back in the gym and be motivated  to fight again.

It will be a lot of trash talk here, specially Wilder's accusations. As for Fury, might be better to give Wilder his shot, win it and then goes for reunification with AJ. Boxing is business so if the money is right for the trilogy, it will happen.
3849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny Pacquiao vs Mikey Garcia in Dubai on July 2021? on: May 17, 2021, 02:31:14 AM

I guess you guys are confusing each other lol.
The guy at the top of this quoted comment says nobody wants to fight Manny just to be tarnished with one loss especially if they're undefeated, instead they want to fight Manny for money.
The guy at the 2nd quoted message responded that there are figthers who actually would like to fight with Manny not only for the money but for the legacy and so he mentioned Ryan Garcia and Terrence Crawford. I'm pretty sure he's well aware of who's Manny Pacquiao's opponent as he have mentioned at the end of his statement that he's bothered with Mikey Garcia's possiblity of imitating Marquez counter puncher against the Pacman.

Anyway, I could be wrong with how I have comprehended the statement but that's what I think it is.

Everyone is excited for this match anyway.

To me it makes more sense that everybody wants to fight him because he is an old man and they can make a lot of money. The risk vs. reward factors are very favorable for anybody that's challenging Pacquaio. Even if you lose you still get a big payday. I don't think anybody is avoiding him, it's just been difficult to get a deal done because of the pandemic.

True, Manny is still a lottery for many boxers in his weight division and they are chasing him for their biggest paycheck. The only problem is, which Mikey high lighted is that they have to go to a lot of channels before they can reach Pacquiao.

So it seems that Manny has a lot of advisers, I do hope that Pacquiao has one single point of contact, let's say Sean Gibbons, but Sean is in the US and Pacquiao is in the Philippines. So communications could be one hindrance that's why this fight is in jeopardy.
3850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] LUIS NERY vs BRANDON FIGUEROA Super Bantamweight World Championship on: May 17, 2021, 01:39:27 AM
When I have seen the fight it was intense that both fighters keep on exchanging punches and never back down but Nery didn't really knockdown Figueroa it was really a push that outbalanced Figueroa but eventually both fighters keeps on trading punches until Brandon Figueroa hit the ribs of Luis Nery that hurts him and take him down the canvas,

As they promised, they are going to go to war, which eventually did. But Figueroa is the heavy handed on the two and this body shot to the flexor, anyone will really go down like that.

It was really intense for both fighters Brandon Figueroa really was putting a great performance his punches were always going in you can say that Figueroa has the accuracy in his punches.

He was the underdog as far as the odds, didn't bet on this match. but for sure for those who throw a bit of money on him, its a worth the risk. Not sure if Figueroa can still go down this weight class down. He is tall and his body will have a hard time. He needs to go up one weight class and fight another champion. Because he has the accuracy and has power.
3851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 17, 2021, 12:52:24 AM
^^ As long as the big 3 is still winning, these young generation will have a hard time against them. We might see Federer coming back again to join the party so it will be very difficult unless someone really step up their game.

As expected, Nadal is in true form and it will be hard to beat him at the French Open. Djokovic really push him in the finals, but Nadal still prevails.
3852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT still hot??? on: May 16, 2021, 01:43:13 AM
I think the hype is still on and as long as the market is in a bull run we might even see new projects able to pump the valuations and when i checked about new projects, there are many that are planning to launch during this hype and we might even see a lot of scam in this market. Just be cautious with what you invest and the team behind the project if anyone is planning to invest in the hype.

Exactly, the hype will continue until another one comes along. This is how the market plays out, ICO-IEO-Staking-NFT. So there will be a lot of money going to flow so people are going to make money out of this latest hype.

And everyone is really into it, from celebrities to high profile artist and joining the bandwagon and taking advantage of the latest crypto hype.
3853  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have we peaked for this cycle? on: May 16, 2021, 12:52:57 AM
noob here.  BTC has been trading sideways for 3 months now; after the elon tweet, its' struggling to get above 50K.
Is their another run up or have we peaked alreay?

Every month we have seen Bitcoin hitting all time high, maybe this is the first time that we won't see the pattern not repeating. However, I'm still not convinced that we have hit the peaked price. We still have a long way to go, 2021 is not over yet and so many thing can happen in a blink of an eye and go on full bull run again.

So I would say no, we might be trading sideways, so take advantage of it and continue to accumulate. Bitcoin should be seen as long term investments or at least wait for the end of the year price.
3854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] LUIS NERY vs BRANDON FIGUEROA Super Bantamweight World Championship on: May 16, 2021, 12:24:53 AM
^^ He should as he is the favorite against Brandon. He knows that stakes, this is a unification bout. And he should forget about the purse, they have accepted it even if if it set against them.

And if ever he wins, it will be sweeter as he proved them wrong for giving and short changing him in this fight. For sure he will be the A-side next time around if he conquers Figueroa in a spectacular fashion.
3855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 15, 2021, 11:07:37 PM
Damn, that's what I'm afraid of, the suspension really gave Djokovic some time to think and stop Tsitsipas momentum. It really messed up my parlay with that lose.

So now the dream match up, Djokovic vs Nadal in the finals. I will go with Nadal, this is his surface and just in time for him to peak. I will say Nadal by 2:0, hope there's no more rain delay.
3856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] LUIS NERY vs BRANDON FIGUEROA Super Bantamweight World Championship on: May 15, 2021, 05:51:52 AM
^^ I can speculate that Figueroa is the US based (although Mexican by heritage), that's why he will got more money in this fight. And probably they are building him up too to be the next face of boxing. So this is really going to be a interesting match-up as Brandon is the underdog. And he promises an all out Mexican war with Luis Nery.
3857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reactions From Musk's Bitcoin criticism on: May 15, 2021, 12:28:44 AM
Is it far-fetched for Musk to play this out so that he'd be able to purchase BTC after acting like he had no idea how much less BTC really consumes/pollutes compared to all those stories online? It surely does seem like a plan of his to buy more. At this point, the SEC should come out and start striking him for real because this is evident manipulation...

While I'm sure there's an agenda here, but I doubt it would be that one. If his actions were actually to pump/dump the price so he could buy/sell, then he's going to get screwed over by the SEC. And since I don't think Elon's actually stupid, and since Tesla is a large company, I totally doubt it's the latter.

I agree, but the big question mark remains... What the heck is the agenda then? Because there is no way he hasn't known about any of the issues mentioned in his post. It's like a puzzle, it is just weird. You'd expect him to do almost any weird thing, but that was weird weird.

I can only think of one agenda: His solar panels which are going to be sold in bundles.

So he attacks bitcoin effect and the electricity it consumes and on the other hand he predicts a success of his next product. It might be weird in the beginning, but we can see the puzzle here. And who knows, maybe later he will chance his stance on this.
3858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 14, 2021, 11:25:41 PM
How I hate these rain breaks. I have a bet on Tsitsipas to take at least one set and now I have to wait hours for it to finish. What is worse, Djokovic will probably come out swinging and turn it around.

How did Delbonis manage to loose against Opelka? I was sure this will be 2:0 victory for him. Good thing I did not have time to make the bet, would have been a big one.

That was fate Trofo, luckily!

Would love to see Tsitsipas beat Djokovic, I am really turned off by his on court
manners, he used to be my favourite player, not any more.

Nadal had a 2 set win over Zverev today also, something I really didnt expect, im actually
impressed with Nadal in Rome, he is struggling a bit but still finds ways to win.

I was also waiting for the Djokovic vs Tsitsipas, you know that I'm a big fan of Stepanos so here it is, still don't know but he has the advantage already by winning the first set.

Yes, pretty impressive win by Nadal, I think he had learn his lessons against Shapovalov yesterday, he doesn't want to get deep in the first set, so he breaks Zverev early and won in 2 sets.

So it will be Opelka vs Nadal in first semis.
3859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Cardano really reach 20$+ near end of year? on: May 14, 2021, 01:36:07 AM
I've been seeing many price speculations on ADA. Some say that its impossible due to market cap and some say it has so much potential to do it. What would be the sensible valuation you think it could be near end and why?

Of course the project has so much potential, but it has already going to the moon with the current price.

And for those who are making a noise and saying that it can reach $20.00, is obviously shilling for ADA. It will be a huge jump to $20.00 and I doubt for now that in can be achieved. $5.00 could be difficult to reach in my opinion. It will need a lot of money pouring on ADA's market. And there's a lot of market competition as well as far as investors money.
