Silly question but if we fork, what does happen to our cat coins held on exchange markets? (Like cryptsy or coinedup)
Isn'it better to get our cats back to our wallets?
Theoretically an exchange could list both versions, and allow you to trade Cat1 for Cat2, and allow you decide which you want to keep on which fork; the blockchain leading up to the fork is still valid, but now your coins could effectively exist in either fork. Not sure if the exchanges would go to the trouble though. I kind of feel a bit split down the middle too come to think of it..

Can I use these coins to pay my electric bill at the end of the month? I may need to.

Even it takes weeks and weeks, once we reach the diff target, it will be adjusted and correct itself, right? With our current hashpower how long until we reach the next difficulty?

Honestly couldn't tell you. My gut instinct says scam, but I could be wrong. Even if it isn't, it's still incredibly risky. If you can afford to lose it, invest.

I found 6 lol so he is not going to have them all Solomining? With what? You got a wallet?

trollvn crushing all the blocks isn't he the guy with over 100Mhash? Also now I'm getting the msg "Worker temporarily banned" 100 mh/s guy getting in early can own the whole currency for the rest of its lifetime. Depends on how the block rewards develop of course. This isn't really working is it? I mean, if a guy can come in with 100 mh/s from the start, he basically owns the currency.

Personally? I think it's an incredibly risky gamble.
When investing, weigh the risk against the potential reward, and also account for the possibility that with high risk comes that chance that you may end up with nothing.
I'm a miner and trader, so investment isn't my thing, but VisaCoin doesn't fill me with confidence.

QQC is selling for 0.0000361 PER coin on coinedup.com right now. You guys selling so cheap are crazy.
You honestly think Particle would fetch that price at an exchange?

It clearly needs a hard fork. With the current hashrate (which will probably continue to decrease), it would be more than 2 years before the next difficulty adjustment. This will simply kill this coin.
What happens after a hard fork After a hard fork cryptsy and possibly coinedup will automatically delist the coin due to their automated systems detecting the change. It will be chaos after some time. At that point it really depends on whether the community can come together and pull Catcoin back. If it becomes fractured with some people irrationally insisting on bitcoin specs despite it being very obvious that's not feasible in the current environment then the coin will collapse in on itself. However, if the community redoubles its efforts and gets behind the new difficulty retargets and block times it can get relisted eventually and the coin can really have a chance. I want to emphasize to everyone: The advantage CAT has to DOGE is that it has less coins, thereby not inflating the market. The number of coins is good and should be retained. There is absolutely NO reason why a longer block time and a longer difficulty retargeting time is advantageous for any crypto. 1 minute block times with 5 coins per block 1440 blocks per retarget Then CAT will really be a competitive coin and its appeal will really be marketable. What about asking cryptsy, coinedup and coinex to just update their wallets as well? I believe it's rather simple... Yes, if it were to happen, they would be notified well in advance.

Nope. Rejecting all my shares now.
Edit: Nevermind again. Could just be high level of orphans.

Well someone's mining this. Yet again a coin is released, the early worms are screwed over, and the wallet compilers are happy solo mining.
Edit: Just saw above post. Will keep an eye on it.

Well, I'm sticking with Catcoin now. I still believe in it. This bump will be overcome, and prices will rise again.

Why is it that every time I get early at a launch there's never any damn coins?

Hi, I just realised with my cards coming tomorrow that I want to watercool them but I have alredy made a loop with just my cpu (RES->PUMP->RAD->CPU->RES etc etc) and I just want to know how should I add the GPU into the loop (I don't mean where in the loop I mean HOW) should I remove the cooling from the case and empty it or should I leave it in and empty the res with it still in the case or??? and suggestions will be appreciated.
You'll have to drain the loop either way. Whichever is easiest for you. Normally the best place to do it is at the lowest centre point of the case so gravity can push most of the fluid out. If you can drain it over a basin without getting fluid on your hardware, then do that, then just add in the waterblock. maybe best to cover up your PC components and power it down of course to be safe. Also bare in mind that adding a card to your loop will increase the fluid temperature, so make sure your rad has decent fans and is at least a triple rad. Anything less and the cooling would likely be inadequate.

As much hash power as there is, there's only so much hashing power available, and there are so many coins now that people are beginning to get picky.
Which is exactly what we want.
