We have lots of good games tomorrow.

Double-header at TNT.
Memphis Grizzlies vs LA Lakers
Minnesota Timberwolves vs LA Clippers

This will be a big one for the Lakers if they win against one of the strong teams in the West. They say Grizzlies got their jive back after defeating the Nuggets in a blowout. Now, they will be up against a team who had been trying to win every game as much as they can.
Can the Lakers continue the streak or this will be the end of it?

Clippers on the other hand, I don't doubt they will win this one against the Twolves.

Ya, I'm glad we're getting a good doubleheader on TNT tonight, but a shame that LeBron James will be out with his foot injury.  It must be hard for him to place his faith in his team to carry him to the playoffs in the midst of so much turmoil.  They'll definitely have their work cut out for them tonight.

Game 2 should be a good one.  The Timberwolves have had a bit of an up and down season but they're a talented team.  The Clippers have been playing pretty well since the addition of Russell Westbrook so this will probably be a good game to watch.  There was some criticism over Russell Westbrook being benched towards the end of their last game even though he had a great game, so it seems like things aren't all roses over in Clipperland.

Wow. Those poll results are telling. The market is incredibly bullish right now. That actually makes me feel like maybe I should be bearish. I’m expecting Bitcoin to be on a multi year bull run now but I’d hoped there were still plenty of worry to climb. If everyone is all in, that could be bad news. Still, I’m not selling any. Smiley

Mayweather is getting it pretty bad in the news today for the lack of people showing up to his last fight.  That's sort of embarrassing and shows that people aren't really willing to pay to see him fight anyone no matter where he goes.  A long ways from the hype of the Conor McGregor fight.

I'm awaiting the results of the Tommy Fury and Jake Paul fight now.  I didn't go crazy but tossed a few in for Jake Paul.  I like his troll act and think he's put in a ton of work to be able to compete at such a high level and knock out legitimate athletes.  I look forward to seeing him continue to try and get to a world title.
Mayweather fight with no one, recently he fight with Aaron Chalmers aka MMA fighter, the fight wasn't scored because each of them can't knocking out each other. I think Mayweather seems to have lose his hype, but many people are still cheering McGregor and Jake Paul, this might because Mayweather isn't a funny person.

The match was end with Tommy Fury win via split decision, we will see a rematch sooner or later, Jake Paul will mad and take the future fight in serious.

I sort of think that both the Mayweather and Jake Paul stories might be coming to a close. You might see a rematch or a fight with KSI, but I don’t think McGregor will fight him now that he’s lost. Unless maybe McGregor loses his comeback fight and decides to give up on fighting to do something else. With the shine off Jake’s record now, I think he’ll probably stop being a story in another couple of fights.

Congrats go to Dame on his career night with one of the highest single game scoring performances in NBA history. The craziest thing about the story though is how the NBA pulled a vial of his blood immediately following the game for blood testing. Dame said it absolutely killed one of the greatest moments of his career and was the first time he ever had to give blood for a PED test.

The Bucks didn't have Giannis as he was out for a coach's decision.  They still managed to win a heartbreaker by 3 points though.  Durant didn't make his debut which was to be expected.  Crazy to think that these two teams could be meeting in the Finals with two major superstars thrown into the mix.  Booker could've shot better (1-5 from 3 point range) and Paul could've been more efficient from the field (7-18).  Ayton looked good though.  He's continuing to get more touches and improve as a player.  I hope we see him take it up a notch in the postseason like he did in their last Finals run.

Lately I’ve been seeing some random strange amounts of BTC hitting my wallet. It looks like someone operating a mixer occasionally drops a couple bucks to my address for whatever reason. I guess because I’ve been vocal about coin mixers being money laundering operations. Anyway, I usually just gift the coins to someone else and my most common target is the Free Ross charity.

90 minutes until the Suns take on the Bucks on ABC/ESPN3. It sounds like the Suns aren’t going to play Durant until Wednesday but you gotta have the game ready to watch just in case he does get on the floor. I think if Durant plays then the Suns win, if he doesn’t then the Bucks win. Although Giannis might still be a bit sore from his injury so the Suns have a chance either way.

I don’t believe that script nonsense. If it were true I think it would’ve been exposed by someone else a long time ago.

I did put down a parlay bet on Mayweather and Jake Paul both winning their fights. Seemed like an easy bet. We’ll see how it plays out but I’m feeling somewhat confident at the moment. Jake Paul winning and calling out KSI might be in the script, but that’s because it’s seemingly obvious.

I was recently informed that a couple of these minted seats have been listed at auction on Stacks Bowers website.  Very cool.  I'll post links below directly to the coin auctions.  I'm not sure exactly how their auctions work, but it sounds like these may be a couple of the first sales of NastyFans Minted Seats in USD.  I'm not aware of any eBay sales of these coins, but that doesn't mean they haven't happened.  If you're in the market for these coins and want to spend USD though, this is a great chance to do so.  The gilt version of this coin is also fairly rare, as it sold out over 10 years ago.  Pretty cool to see it offered at a major auction.

I had a quick talk with a guy who claimed to represent Stacks Bowers and was interested in auctioning my Casascius coins collection.  I wasn't comfortable with the way the auction would have gone down from my end, so I wasn't interested.  I am curious about them selling other crypto coins though.  Have any of my Minted Seats ever been sold at a Stacks Bowers auction?  I'm a bit curious how they would be valued by people outside of our little community.  Maybe I need to get in touch with them and ask about NastyFans Minted Seats and if they'd have any interest in auctioning any.

There's several Nasty's in the current auction.

https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots?search=nasty&lots_range=upcoming

Very cool.  I would imagine that with more eyes (I don't really advertise or mention these coins much outside of this forum) these coins would sell for quite a bit more than what I offer them for here.  We'll see though.  There are still some available at https://nastyfans.org/mint for those who are interested.  I'll have to keep an eye on these auctions.  If they sell for something ridiculous maybe I'll need to increase prices.   Tongue

Very cool to see stuff I've made continue to be distributed in different ways and to differed markets.  Thanks for sharing this link.  That gold highlighted Minted Seat is pretty rare...

I'll take fundraisers I won't be donating to for $100 Alex.  Smiley

This idea that peace will be attained if we grow our military to be bigger than the other guy's is such a stupid thought.  I'm reminded of a quote, "fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity."  Thinking that you can maintain peace in a warzone if you have more weapons and now trying to take the human element out of the killing aspect in order to give it to drones that can tirelessly police the area is the sort of thing that horror films are made from.  Watching the world of the future take shape is terrifying.  I'm glad I'm mortal.
3874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 25, 2023, 05:14:43 PM
What did we just saw just a few minutes ago?
We just watched a game for the ages. Cheesy I mean the league now is focusing more on offense, but in my whole time watching NBA games, it's my first time to see both teams having that high score.

To add to your trivia that you said, this is the first time the Clippers had a double overtime since February 13, 2020. I want the game to go to triple overtime since the Clippers don't have a game where it went to a triple overtime, but as I watch the players, I can feel the fatigue to all of them both physical and mental.

Westbrook got fouled out, but he got 14 assists on that game. That 14 assists is tied for the record for most assists in their debut game with the Clippers. I have nothing to say, but that game is a game for the ages. We will see a game like that after years again.

Yeah, that was one of the most epic games in a while. It's impressive how well the Kings are performing this season since even Leonard's 44 points and George's 34 points weren't enough to beat them. As for Westbrook, it looks like he's a good fit for the Clippers since he had a double-double in his debut game. However, there's a little nuance, Westbrook also made another 7 turnovers. Grin

It was one of the best regular season games ever. The one thing that stuck in my side was the way it ended. Kawhi was wide open to take the last shot for the win but Nicolas Batum decided to hoist it up. Kawhi was visibly upset by the shot and after the game he’d played it seemed clear to everyone he would be the guy taking the shot. The play even appeared to be for him. A terrible ending to an amazing game.

The Clippers vs Kings game has now entered double overtime.

Clippers bettors should be happy now because there's still a chance that the spread will be covered. Good luck, guys! I'm enjoying the game so far. It looks like the Kings are for real, and they are a threat in the West with the way they are playing.

That game was nuts. A shame it didn’t end in regulation. I thought for a minute that Russell Westbrook was going to make the game winning shot but instead he ended up fouling out in double overtime and the Kings managed to go up by a point for the win. That has to be the highest scoring game of the year. Both teams shot insane percentages.

The Hornets spoiled my parlay for the night. Bad news for the Bucks as well as Giannis left the game with a knee injury. They were able to get the win though. Warriors and Suns also took home wins with the end of the Suns game getting pretty chippy between players as Chris Paul did his annoying thing.

Was nice to see Kevin Love playing for the Heat but he missed all his shots so his first point for the Heat will have to wait.
3877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 25, 2023, 12:51:43 AM
I didn't realize the Bucks vs Heat game would be televised.  I'm pleasantly surprised to discover that it is on ESPN right now.  Smiley  That means I get to watch Kevin Love's debut.  He got the start and already has 3 rebounds in the first 3 minutes.  Great to see him out there putting in work and playing like Kevin Love of old.  I hope this trade revitalizes him and shows that he isn't ready to retire, even if the Cavaliers wanted to pay him to leave their team...  Giannis is back from injury and while he's starting the game 0-2 from the field, Bucks fans have to be glad to see him back out there.
3878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 24, 2023, 08:43:57 PM
I wonder if we'll see Russell Westbrook take the floor tonight for the Clippers.  A shame I won't be able to watch that game if he does play.  Should be a little bit of an event.  The Kings have been playing great as of late as well, so it won't be an easy win for the Clippers with or without Russell Westbrook.  I do hope we get to see some highlights of the Clippers new big 3.  Paul George reuniting with Westbrook and seeing how Kawhi and Russ fit together will be interesting.  I must say I'm curious how that pairing will go together, not just on the floor but socially off the court as Russ and Kawhi are a couple of interesting personalities.
3879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 24, 2023, 08:41:21 PM
Milwaukee Bucks vs Miami Heat
The Miami Heat (32-27) will visit the Milwaukee Bucks (41-17) tonight at Fiserv Forum. This is their last match for the regular season with Miami winning 2 out of 3 meetings.
Heat key injuries: Tyler Herro (knee) probable, Kyle Lowry (knee) out
Bucks key injuries: Giannis Antetokoumpo (wrist) doubtful, Pat Connaughton (calf) doubtful

Chicago Bulls vs Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets (34-24) are going to face the Chicago Bulls (26-33) tonight at United Center. The Nets are coming from a win against the Miami Heat 116-105 last Wednesday. While the Bulls lost to the Bucks last Thursday 112-100.
Nets key injuries: Ben Simmons (knee) questionable
Bulls key injuries: Lonzo Ball (knee) out, Goran Dragic (knee) questionable, Javonte Green (knee) out

Those are both some risky picks.  I wouldn't doubt if Giannis plays tonight after the All-Star break to heal.  I did consider making the same bet though because with Kevin Love on the team I'm sure they want to go out and get a win in his debut.  Giannis is just too big of a question mark.  If he plays, I don't think the Bucks lose.

That Nets pick seems risky too.  Without Durant and Kyrie, it's hard to tell how good they'll be.  Sure, they're playing great but who knows how long that will last.

I do think the Warriors get an easy win tonight and I put a little bet on the Suns also, but without Durant and missing the guys they traded for him, it might be a different game than I'd like to see.
3880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 24, 2023, 08:38:01 PM
Jake Paul does have a brilliant mind for making things possible. The tattoo deal he offered to Woodley seems to be a deal breaker. It's funny yet in the fighter's mind it makes them wanna prove something.

He does have the edge in the media and even in the ring after all, he became a real boxer after defeating big names. He might fight Mike Tyson too, this might need bigger funds for him.

I doubt the "winner takes all" bet will hold up in any court of law and I doubt if Tommy loses he'll be giving Jake a cent.  I guess we'll find out, as after seeing Tommy's fights I don't think he stands a chance against Jake.  Maybe I'm wrong though.  Jake's opponents haven't all been too great...

I think the Mike Tyson fight flew out the window when it became clear that they didn't really want to pay the cost to fight the boss.  Tyson isn't getting any younger and gave them a window where he would possibly be willing to fight.  They couldn't meet his contract demands so that fight went bye bye.  It will never happen.
