3861  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? Why? on: May 09, 2021, 11:50:45 AM
The real question, which category you are now?

I don't have many coins and don't have much fiat but I'm stil happy.
You Don't Need Money to Be Happy! Cheesy

but still, you need money to buy Bitcoin Cheesy

That's true...

And, in a way, I can’t be happy without bitcoin. So I withdraw my statement. I Need Money to Be Happy. Grin
3862  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 09, 2021, 11:42:13 AM
~snip~
As a business owner then you wont really be having no choice but to deal with it even though this will oppose total anonymity but do we really think that they do love such changes? No its not.
It is just they do need to comply or else you would close your business.
^ That is right, once a gambling casino becomes heavily regulated, there must be a KYC verification, they have to make the process of reputed gambling sites and becomes legitimately operated with heavy regulation that following the government's law in order to follow their jurisdictions.
Nevertheless, the only simple of having KYC is this, (to save you and also themselves), that is how will work the know your customer. then as I said, it is our choice now to choose which gambling sites that suit to us,.
This has to be understand by some gamblers because Roobet is being regulated by the government and stop comparing this to other site who are also regulated under their Curacao license, Roobet might be on a different situation right now, we all have to follow the law after all and if you feel unsafe with KYC, you still have the choice so don’t panic.

I will understand when Roobet ceases promoting itself as the casino that respects the anonymity of its players.

3863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: May 09, 2021, 11:26:46 AM
When you are gambling, you always convert your fiat to bitcoin, so it's not a big deal even if the price of bitcoin will increase, in fact, it will favor you as your win will increase due to the increasing value of bitcoin. The mentality of a gambler and an investor is different, we gamble to win, and we use bitcoin as a payment method only, not an investment.
I do not use bitcoin to gamble after the bitcoin price increases because if I still use bitcoin to gamble and lose it, that will be a pain in my head. But yes, if we win, the amount of bitcoin that we have will increase, which means that if we convert into fiat, our money will also increase. Maybe we need to take care of our mental to know what we need to do related to the current situations.

The games over here in the cryptocurrency community are fun, but we shouldn't make irrational bets. We also have to admit that even though we are young, we need to make the right decisions. After all, you are not going to get rich overnight and you will have to work hard for every single bit of your money, no matter what game you play.
3864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I made a social app. Would you like to see it adapted specifically to crypto? on: May 09, 2021, 11:17:05 AM
This idea is fresh in my head. Some of you might have ideas on how to improve it. I just get the intuition that it could be useful, as Googling to research ~300 coins last month did not always yield quality results for me. This space is still young enough that Google/Reddit doesn't always yield the best insight. Also, could it just be more fun to complement your research this way?

You forget that the crypto community values its anonymity. Anonymity is one of the most valuable attributes of crypto, especially the privacy aspect.
3865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Dogecoin reach 1$ soon? on: May 09, 2021, 11:04:12 AM
I sold my last Dogecoins to BTC so I don't care anymore what happens with this joke coin. Too bad because it was a really nice fun project but Elon Musk made it look like garbage.

A meme coin with a market capitalization of $85+ billion is a joke. This dump is inevitable.
It is obvious that the DOGE coin dump is creating a panic among the alt market so we'll probably see more dump in some other alts as well.
3866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The price of Dodgecoin since 2020 in 34 secs on: May 09, 2021, 10:59:39 AM
Check out this video which beautifully illustrates in 34 seconds the progress of DODGE since its inception

Since its inception? I do not think so.
Dogecoin was forked from Litecoin by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer in December 2013.
3867  Other / Politics & Society / Re: need a real business recommendation. on: May 08, 2021, 05:24:40 PM
I am now bankrupt and have been abandoned by the people I love.
...

If you're bankrupt, I strongly recommend you look for any job you can find as a starting point. Find a friend, family member, neighbor, anyone, who can help you find work. That's where you start to be able to make your own way again.

Having a poor horse to ride is better than having no horse at all. Otherwise you will soon find yourself struggling in thick debt and having a hopeless situation. If you're not happy there, you can leave as quick as you can and try to put your life back together again.
3868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best site for NFT marketplace on: May 08, 2021, 05:09:43 PM
I have been following NFT trades for sometimes now, I have been able to create some imaginable arts on my own and while I did research on NFT marketplace to trade my arts, I came across rarible as a marketplace for trading NFT.

https://rarible.com/

I don't know how secure this site is, as well as their volatility.

I am also looking for other sites best used for trading NFTs, if you know any good marketplace too, let me know.

Thanks in advance, looking forward for your responses.
Opensia.io . Quite a convenient platform for placing your art. Provide a free option to create and host NFT. But you have to pay a gas commission of $ 104 for the right to put your works up for sale or auction

In June, Binance will launch Binance NFT marketplace and trading platform. The new marketplace will bring together artists, creators and crypto enthusiasts from around the world.

I don't think we need to be hostile anymore, if shitposters do come here, the merit system will take care of them.
I agree. There are not so many of newbies who ask questions nowadays (annoying or not), possibly because most of the incentive to post here has been reduced with the rank system and crash of ICOs; So the few who does hang around and post on the forum should be given the benefit of the doubt at the very least.
This particular user was also courteous and seemed eager to learn.

Don't be concerned. He'll be back, I'm sure.
Despite a few minor exceptions, my experience is that newcomers are generally welcomed in this community.
3870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I NFT my house loan? on: May 08, 2021, 10:34:50 AM
Can I NFT my house loan? what should I do for NFT my house loan?

You can NFT almost anything you want. I just don't see the point of it. Why not just sell the house and move to a smaller property if you can't afford to repay the mortgage?
3871  Other / Archival / Re: A secure device dedicated to using cryptocurrencies on: May 08, 2021, 10:30:03 AM
However, if you use HDD and use it to boot the OS, you'll notice your computer run slower.

But i wouldn't use encryption if you're regular user, since recovering the file will be far more difficult.

Whole-disk encryption is unrecommended because the encrypting is part of the operating system, and it can lead to lockout problems even if the files themselves are fine. One error can literally lock you out of the whole drive.

File-and-folder encryption can be just as secure as whole-disk encryption.

I had no idea that the fate of human beings depends on the development of drugs for nuclear fusion. It doesn't seem to make sense.
I think you're making stuff up.
3873  Other / Archival / Re: A secure device dedicated to using cryptocurrencies on: May 08, 2021, 08:59:10 AM
It's possible with VeraCrypt, besides the decryption process is quite fast. Here's a guide, https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/6169/use-truecrypt-to-secure-your-data/.

Are you sure its fast? I didn't do research about it so i can't blabla like i do. Can you please tell me what kind of encryption they use? They maybe have a very modern processor to use that software. And it depends on the algorithm/encryption trick that they use. Can you provide more details for it?

It depends on which type of encryption you want to use. The standard settings are "AES" encryption and "SHA-256" hash algorithm, which are very good choices.
AES is a symmetric key encryption cipher, and it is generally regarded as the "gold standard" for encrypting data. Encrypting and decrying data with symmetric encryption much faster than with asymmetric encryption. Generally, symmetric ciphers are said to be around "1000 times faster" than asymmetric ones.

You can read more about how AES encryption work here: https://proprivacy.com/guides/aes-encryption

It seems like DOGEs are quite popular these days. Perhaps I should buy one, or two ...  Cheesy
3875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH sheep, buy now? on: May 07, 2021, 10:06:49 PM
Hi Smiley I'm new to the crypto space. I'm looking at the ETH graph and I'm unsure if I should buy now. But its at an all time high, and I was taught to buy low sell high. I really don't want to be a sheep, but what if the price keeps going up? Should I just wait for it to go down and just buy the dip?

If you are going to buy low and sell high in a short period of time, then you should avoid buying at ATH. No one can predict where a coin’s price will be in the future.

However, if you believe in the project and think long term, then it is worth the risk because the general sentiment is that the ETH token's price will continue to rise. But remember, always DYOR and never invest money that you are not willing to lose.
3876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: May 07, 2021, 09:48:57 PM
Elon Musk is a cult figure for some of the smartest people on the planet. So what he's doing with the Dogecoin baffles me.
I mean, they say the Internet doesn't recognize any form of hierarchy, but I think Musk has delusions of god-like grandeur.
3877  Other / Off-topic / Re: Electric car - do you like it? on: May 06, 2021, 04:33:35 PM
Electric cars were in their heyday in 1900, but the rise of petrol-engine cars, coupled with battery-technological shortcomings, killed them by the 1920s. Recent improvements in battery technology and power electronics have helped electric cars make a strong comeback.

A comparison of the main electric car differences compared to the petrol-engine cars:

3878  Other / Off-topic / Re: Divorce, how can we stop it.? on: May 06, 2021, 04:02:13 PM
Divorce can be heartbreaking experience that many couples are often afraid of getting into. They also fear that getting a divorce is akin to abandonment by family and friends, that's why, it is important for them to cope with it as quickly as possible. However, I do not agree that divorce should be prevented entirely. A divorce is preferable to a dysfunctional marriage, particularly when children are involved.

Oh, I forgot one more piece of advice: Do not marry an egocentric idiot.  Wink
3879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Elon Musk "Smart" Tweeting Continues! on: May 06, 2021, 03:36:08 PM
What is even funnier is the fact that Doge is keep breaking every rule of any trading indicators. All of them are on the edge.
Mostly agree with you and think that some dark days are about to come for it when those addresses will start to sell.
I'll continue to watch the charts running high till then, I guess  Huh

Well, no one knows for sure what to expect, we don't have data to back that up, but from past experience, I expect something like that happening sooner or later.
Yes. People need to make money. If they are not making any they will switch to something else. I think there is a big retracement coming soon.
3880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Elon Musk's goal with Dogecoin? on: May 06, 2021, 03:07:11 PM
Obviously yes!
What would you expect? He ain't pumping Doge for charity. He wants to pump it obviously because he wants to earn a huge amount of profit, and Dogecoin could easily give him enough when it reaches $1.

With this much profit, he can pay for a sizable stash of Bitcoins!

The Dogecoins could also turn him into the largest holder of Bitcoins, which would mean the Dogecoin bubble crash is going to be the biggest one in crypto history.Grin
