Hello everyone, my question is quite simple. I have been slowly buying bitcoin for a few years (small amounts) and now I have enough to buy some ASICs. I always wanted to buy one but I'm pretty stingy and I don't like to spend money. But lately and researching the price of electricity in my country and the price of an antminer I decided to buy one. I found an antminer s9j on amazon for 260USD (shipping included) and an Antminer S19j for 2000USD. The truth is that both would end up paying off in approximately 1 year, so I don't really know which one to buy. What do you think would be best for someone new?
I also found a used s15 on amazon but I don't know if I trust it much since it has 2.5 stars and finally the having is next year they think it will make it difficult for someone who does not have a mining farm "in good condition" (asic number and constant inconme of this)
Thank you so much
the s9j wants 120 volt power the s15 wants 230 volt power the s19 wants 230 volt power A lot depends on your heat removal issues. can you stand to burn 3000 watts for the s19 and listen to a loud unit? you can run the s19 with braiins at 2475 watts it is not too loud. but it is not quiet here is one running with braiins and a down clock ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.talkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2023%2F08%2F11%2FGgY1f.png&t=663&c=Em4llA-yQkhTfw)

It will only get more interesting in the years 2052 or later. When core developers propose reclamation of stale/lost coins.
make the proposal on Jan of 2052 and if an address has not had a withdrawal it 50 years the coins go back to mining rewards.
if franky1 is correct that under 20 'core' developers are in charge they will do the reclamation of stale/lost coins and nothing will be done about it.
So in 2059 all 2009 'dead' address roll back to rewards. so on and so forth. Year after year.
I only wish I could live long enough to see it happen.

It is in the warehouse. It can do as many as 150 s19s or about 500kwatts
I will photo it soon.
Our goal is to relocate 150kwatts of miners from the other spot
then add 75kwatts of miners.
hoping to add 25 s19 xp's or
20 s19 xp's and 5 L7 units.

No, they include 100 tx per hour into the next block they mine provided they meet certain conditions.
FREE Submission ViaBTC will prioritize your transactions and include them in the next block we mine, provided the volume of this transaction must be ≤0.5 KB, and the transaction fee rate must be ≥ 0.0001 BTC/KB.
I've used it many times.
I confirm that the thing still works, it has saved me many times and I hope it will continue to work in the future. yes when btc goes to 20 sats a byte or more you can pay 11 sats a byte and use viabtc to muscle it. I think fees are close to 29 sats a byte so if your tx has a lot of bytes it could be very expensive maybe 0.0029 btc for the fee while this would be 0.0011 btc for the fee

I'm considering a small new setup, however the location is noise sensitive, therefore I am considering the use of immersion. Can anybody recommend any off-the-shelf packages and or reputable suppliers?
And how many ASICs do you want to buy for mining? If this is a small number of asics, then consider the possibility of installing noise boxes. If you cool the liquid with a radiator, then you will also have additional noise. With noiseboxes, you will start mining faster. Tests in this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5460374.msg62648349#msg62648349It will be 21 miners. I was considering using a dcx immersion system. Noiseboxes, with all due respect, I think are more for hobbiest / bedroom miners. I got a guy in Long Island NY he is building special racks for s19s to dip the gear in liquid tanks. I will pm you contact info. pm sent!

if we take 100 people who play games of chance and ask these 100 people why they are playing, most of the 100 people will answer that they are playing because they want to have fun, so if we ask them if they are happy when they lose, we will hear answers like : NO. but that is an obvious answer. now if we make a little comparison about fun. one person has 50$ and goes to the beach and spends it all on food, takes pictures and buys some things and goes home happy and with 0$, another person takes 50$ and goes to a restaurant to drink beer and eat with friends and takes pictures and come home very late and with 0$
another person takes 50$ and stays at home playing in some online casino, stays for a few hours and loses everything. when we put the three people together the next day and ask how your previous day was, the answer will be obvious: the guy who stayed at home gambling and lost everything in the games of chance will be sad and regret having played, if he had won he would be celebrating. so was he playing for fun or money? no doubt it was for the money. Nobody likes to lose, and it's precisely because nobody likes to lose that when people lose they play even more to recover everything they lost.
and with that they become addicted to gambling, people start to isolate themselves from the real world, they get depressed due to many defeats, that's why even if they won they wouldn't stop playing, because they want to win more, games should be seen as fun, something people look at and know I'm going to bet 10$ and if I lose it's okay and in the next game don't think about the 10$ you lost, don't bet for revenge and don't bet to recover the 10$, go back to bet 10 $ as always
you play for action and the blessing of lady luck. you know you should lose you lie and think you will win when you do win more often than you should you think you have been blessed because lady luck loves you.

one last item but only with a flat roof https://roofvents.com/gravity-ventilators-aura-ventilator/av-30-c8-aura-vent-30-inch-diameter-8-inch-collar/this vent on a flat roof on the hot isle side would allow hot air to leave the building. I have three of them in my easier to cool room. Noise would escape it with the heat. noise hot air << ^ >> ! ^ ! roof. >> __________________________! vent !____________ So it likely would not be good. other than you had some way to direct the noise up rather than out the vent's sides. much more of an afterthought last thing on the list idea.
