3861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ok where is Satoshi on: July 29, 2017, 05:28:20 AM
He's not going to come back to comment on these things, and he's left the community, the life, and everything. If he was to come back, all it would do was cause more trouble for the community and for him on a personal state of mind and the manhunt to find out who he is IN REAL LIFE would only just start back up again.

He made Bitcoin, and could amass a ton of money by selling his Bitcoin -- but I feel as if he has enough trust in his creation to simply let them go without him, and there's nothing we can do but let him do that.

Everyone here has to accept that he's gone, forever and that's the end all be all with him.
3862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is amazing. But... on: July 29, 2017, 02:07:41 AM
I doubt something like this would occur, as it would cripple the Chinese economy as a ton of business for Chinese factories do go through the internet / EVERYTHING GOES THROUGH THE INTERNET TODAY (Taobao, Alibaba, Aliexpress, ETC for China)

If this did happen, it would make the difficulty much easier for the small miners here in America and other countries where the power is MUCH more expensive. This would then make more and more people join in on the mining train and through sometime, would have Bitcoin stable out without the Chinese miners and buyers/sellers.

We'd be protected without an issue, people could even go back to mining on their GPU's if something of this caliber was to occur -- and we'd probably make some good money out of it.
3863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you believe that forking will give you 2 coins vs. 1 on: July 29, 2017, 01:27:22 AM
please keep in mind that

1BTC + 1BCC worth $1,000 is not as smart as 1 BTC worth $3,000...

BCC is a scam, it is almost sort of "pre-mined" by Bitmain (hash power and 1st move advantage), and was only created to enrich Bitmains' greedy board.
Too bad, beacuse the idea of a way bigger block size is great and that is what BTC needs (up to a certain extend, to keep the "decentralized" idea, even if 1% of holders have 69% of BTC...)

Your post is not wrong but the title of the thread is incorrect, the fork is going to give to us 2 coins, there is not question about it, personally I do not think the price of bitcoin is going to crash that bad, BCC is the one that is going to crash rapidly since it will be a race to who can dump it the fastest.

I do think that the price of Bitcoin is going to suffer, it may not suffer a lot, but suffer it will. With something of this caliber occurring, with a number of miners support that has behind it is going to be bound to disrupt normal Bitcoin for some time so it's not like we're all going to sit here and say, NO NO NO it can't hurt me.

If you OWN BITCOINS during this, you're going to be in for a ride of the price, no doubt about that at all. If you want to get out, I'd do it before this time, as that's going to be the only thing that's going to save you from the fate of Bitcoin until further notice.

2 coins, though they MAY be worth less than the original one coin you had before this due to TWO coins being present now.
3864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have my BTC in mycelium wallet. After the Aug 1 Hard Fork how can i access BCC on: July 29, 2017, 01:10:08 AM
Bear in mind that while you have the private keys, I don't believe mycelium has announced that they will be supporting BCC. Even if they don't, you will still be able to claim your BCC by importing your private keys into a BCC client after August 1st.

This, Is something which you're going to have to make sure you know enough about. I'd rather just go ahead and put my coins on a paper wallet if you want to take the gamble with playing with your Bitcoin cash when that occurs as you're going to be able to at least have full control over your coins, compared to an exchange being able to access that.

Also, MyCeilium Bitcoin Cash wallet is something that isn't something that is coming soon, the only confirmed one at the moment is going to be Electrum cash which is coming soon as a wallet.

Shouldn't be hard to access these coins though, you'll have the private keys and the same amount of Bitcoin on both forks.
3865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I do not have the guts to buy bitcoins now. on: July 28, 2017, 11:58:06 PM
I wouldn't have the guts to do something like this right now either, so don't think you're a bad person or something. I'd rather avoid all of the issues with Bitcoin when it comes to the network and solutions (Bitcoin Cash Aug 1st) and just see what this looks like in a month or so.

I'm not going to stop earning Bitcoins, and I'm going to be doing the same thing I've always done with Bitcoin in which I've earned -- which is going to be simply taking in the BTC and selling it on coin base with one of those instant sell addresses.

Don't think you're not part of this if you're not buying right now, I'm going to assume that tons of whales are thinking the same thing as you right now.
3866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do I need to worry about my bitcoin holding after August 1st? on: July 28, 2017, 11:19:41 PM
Yep, you and everyone else is going to have to be worried if you're still holding on that date. If you want to continue to hold your bitcoins, I'd move to a wallet which you have full control of -- one of these options could be a paper wallet, or really any wallet in which you and only you have the private keys to it.

I know the exchange which I use, Coinbase, is not going to be supporting Bitcoin Cash in the least -- so if you want to access Bitcoin Cash, you'd have to steer clear of them. There is going to be disruptions in the price, problems with the network more than usual, and so on, but the only thing you're going to have to do if you want to avoid all of this is to sell it.

So, you do have a decision to make OP (Roll the dice here, or simply sit back)
3867  Other / Politics & Society / Re: LGBT ARMADA IN RAQQA (SYRIA) EXIST OR NO? HOMOSEXUAL VS ISIS :O on: July 28, 2017, 10:49:53 PM
It is fake news. Most of the ISIS members are either closet homosexuals or bisexuals. But they hide their sexual orientation from the outside world, and justify their gay orgies saying that any male without a beard is actually a female. So if they are having sex with a 10-year old boy, they will claim that it is actually heterosexual intercourse.

Going to have to say that your entire statement is bullshit, even if I'm one that wants to see the destruction of ISIS, ISIS allies and supporters and so on. I don't think any of them could be gay in the least, it's just not something that could occur with the way they would be treating their fellow gays as they're killing them and such -- so, they're not gay.

This unit could be real, and it may be a small force but it's a force that is going to show people to come up and fight against an evil in the world (being ISIS) which is a good thing to see nonetheless.

I hope this unit the best on the fight, and this is a real fight to stop evil and push for democracy.
3868  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Danish police first in the world to hunt down criminals using bitcoin, afraid??? on: July 28, 2017, 09:44:47 PM
I wouldn't say people are going to be afraid for this, more and more governments are going to be hunting down criminals using Bitcoin or any currency for that matter. So the only people that should be afraid, and have the right to be afraid are the people that are doing wrong - and this is always something that is going to stand true.

You could've even gone on to highlight the fact that more and more of the darknet drug sites are being targetted by the US government in order to stop the drug trafficking in the US, with all of us on here seeing that the FBI took down AlphaBay. Though with that, I think it's like playing a game of whack a mole -- even if you hit one of them more and more are going to come up and you can't stop all of the different forces

Only be afraid if you're doing shady shit, that's it.

3869  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Comments on Trump's transgender decision on: July 28, 2017, 08:54:20 PM
While I'll have to disagree with some on the twitter annoncment, as this is the only means of President Trump to be able to get his voice out there -- his unmasked one that advisors, the media, leakers and so on are going to distort. So he's using his own medium to deliver news -- no problem with that.

I do agree with the decision as well, it's a pretty simple one when you think about it -- the military isn't a place for this, taxpayers shouldn't be paying for these treatments just due to them joining the military and it seems as if we'd have to be catering to them in the military. Costing the taxpayer more and more on a military which is already grossly expensive. Imagine the bathrooms that have to be built, treatments paid for, etc etc.

I agree!
3870  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pissing society off on: July 28, 2017, 06:25:47 PM
We’ve grown up listening to norms set by society. These norms are presented to us as sacred laws. Break them, and you are labeled “outcast’. Well being called an outcast excites me. I would feel proud if I’d be labelled as an ‘outcast’.
The most feared thing is “what would people say?” Well I say screw people and follow your heart. At the end of the day it’s your happiness that matters.

Pedophiles are outcasts, and they surely broke society's rules.

Don't know what you're talking about, but you better don't do illegal stuff, jail is not a good place to be.

Not everything you do in society to be labeled an outcast is illegal, so it's not like OP is promoting that sort of thing. He / She is merely stating that they want to be different in society and follow their dreams/heart. That's a pretty known thing today and many people follow this, even with the social repercussions that are present today.

This is something that I've always followed around friends and family though, as I do allow them a fair share of opinion in my life -- though at the end of the day I make my own decision on what I want to do about stuff in my life and if I end up being an outcast or whatever-- so be it.

Do what you want for you, not for anyone else.
3871  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Village council ordered to rape 17-year-old before the 40 men and her parents. on: July 28, 2017, 05:39:30 PM
What a horrible, horrible place for girls.  Angry The family of the guy who raped the girl also filed a case? Against whom though? How much legal authority does this panchayat have anyway? What if the brother refused to rape the girl of the man accused to rape his sister, would they have found another way to enact their "ruling"?

It's really terrible that in this day and age, barbaric deeds like this are being committed.

Well, the thing is that no one is going to stop it from happening, the village council, in this case, is a government but also a class of people that control the social hierarchy where they are. So it's impossible to go against them and we wouldn't see the nature of someone betraying them from their ruling.

Pretty horrible ruling though, I don't see how people can think the eye for an eye type thing works in practice, as this is just horrible to put someone's sister towards this.

But I guess we'll see if this is a part in stopping it, hopefully, it does.
3872  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To save paper .... why doesn't LGBTQICBXBXVCU just call themsleves not straight? on: July 23, 2017, 05:51:56 PM
I do think that these people should be accepted into society, though they shouldn't be rude to the people that are simply just trying to get informed and getting used to their new group / gender and everything that goes with it. I don't feel as if we should be making more and more groups to class this people into, it just doesn't make sense in the least. People aren't going to remember all these new bullshit names and it isn't going to help them either.

If you're going to be making more and more useless names, you're an attention seeker plain and simple.

But I do understand that some groups are needed, not every letter in the alphabet though.
3873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Desktp wallet for each altcoin? on: July 23, 2017, 05:19:13 PM
If you're going to be delving into the shittier coins, which are going to be the ones in the ANNOUNCEMENT sections on here with small amounts of replies and a small amount of information about the coin itself, I'd probably just go with an exchange to be holding the currency so you don't have to trust using their wallet -- I know above people say to use Windows 10 Pro and virtualizaton, but this seems to be a little too much for the average user when an exchange should be fine (given they don't run off in the meantime, as the chance is slim to none if you pick a good one)

You could also use Exodus, I think they have around 8 altcoins on their ONE desktop wallet which I think is pretty cool and it works nice as well.
3874  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best way of exchanging btc to fiat on: July 23, 2017, 04:48:07 PM
I'd go out and weigh in what you're willing to give up to save the most in fees with this, if you're going to be fine with giving up some personal information to save money on the fees -- you're best bet is going to be using Coinbase, Kraken, one of the bigger exchanges which isn't going to charge much in fees if you go through all the KYC (Know Your Customer) information.

If you're not OK with this, and ARE OK with paying in an insane amount of fees then you should probably go with LBC (Local Bitcoins) Paxful, or the currency exchange section on here which is going to allow for you to trade any sort of currency (Debit Card, Credit Card, Prepaid Card, WU, Bank Transfer) without an issue and Bitcoin will be sent to you.

GOOD LUCK!
3875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Rental Explanation on: July 23, 2017, 05:19:27 AM
The thing that you're going to have to make sure to note is going to have to be FEES that you're going to incur, I don't think Nicehash as a buyer is going to require you to pay any fees but if you're going to be mining through a pool (which you probably will be) you're going to have 1-3 percent fees from the pool itself for mining ETH.

Make sure to note that. THEN you're going to have to note the fees which you take in when you're exchanging the ETH for BTC and to be able to buy the GH from Nicehash, so FACTOR that into what you're doing as well.

I think with the small profit margins you have, it isn't really worth it to continue-- I'd buy my own machines if you want to mine, don't rely on someone else to scrap the barrel.
3876  Economy / Economics / Re: Sensitive market at this moment. on: July 23, 2017, 04:42:53 AM
Firstly, I don't think that the fluctuations in price are unhealthy for cryptocurrency. Secondly, if they were unhealthy we wouldn't be able to do anything about that anyway.

Some traders even say they would abandon bitcoin if it wasn't fluctuating so much.

Traders would abandon Bitcoin, though I highly doubt the users of Bitcoin would leave. As the biggest thing that people want in a currency is going to have to have SMALL or NO volatility in the currency so it has the same value day after day (minus inflation of course)

And yes, this market is always going to be one which is going to be sensitive because of the amount of leverage which small invidiauls have in the entire market = WHALES!

If everything goes as planned and FUD and panic selling of new users have settled, we don't about a major market price drop. Bitcoin has always been this sensitive. Based on how it's doing now we might achieve $5k mark in less than 2 years.

Can't see this happening, we need to stay at a price and don't keep moving up and up - it's the only thing which is going to be the only thing which attracts people to using Bitcoin.
3877  Economy / Economics / Re: Explain on: July 23, 2017, 02:54:45 AM
These two are things that shouldn't be compared as they just aren't the same thing, for one Gold is a commodity it's something that people buy for short or long term investment opportunities and that's really all the usage it has (besides the usage it has in electronics but we're going to leave that out) Bitcoin on the otherhand is a currency, it's accepted by people for goods and services and even if this is a small community that accepts it, the community is still present.

Bitcoin can be used for investments, and is used but that's not the main purpose of it in the least. Pretty much just like Gold should be used for investments.

So, neither is better.
3878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: transferring money oversees question on: July 22, 2017, 09:04:47 PM
If you're going for a time specific thing and you can't count on the exchanges to come through very quickly, then Bitcoin wouldn't be the best option here and it'd be in the best interest of the person who's sending money to simply avoid it. If it isn't time specific and you'd like to save money, then go through some of the loops that come with Bitcoin and you won't be setting yourself back as much money as a place like WU (Western Union) would be as they charge INSANE amounts of fees.

In the age of digital currency it's no different than transferring money next door. If the government wants to have some issue with it they're going to have some issue with it no matter what you do. Make sure that you're conducting honest business, conducted an honest manner, and you will have no problem.

If the government wants in, they'll key themselves in with some sort of law to force the exchanges -- they just don't see Bitcoin as that much of a threat yet, but it will happen at some point.
3879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash BCC might be a threat against the Nash Equilibrium on: July 22, 2017, 08:33:26 PM
I would like to see them try. After a thousand BTC is dead threads and a thousand real threats to kill the protocol I havent seen one successful attack that had a good chance of destroying it.

You can tell all the Chinese miners to try their best. Kill Bitcoin.

I'm going to follow along with this guy here, I just can't see an attack on bitcoin doing anything in the least -- even if they have the power for them to be able to (in theory) try. As I think even if they have the power to do it, some early adopter will pay for them to stop, the community just won't tolerate it, or another big miner who cares for Bitcoin will balance them out and then silence the Chinese miners.

I do think there is going to be a hard fork on August 1'st though, I don't know how it will go but it WILL occur.

Try to kill us, it'll fail!

3880  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Existence on: July 22, 2017, 08:19:21 PM
This is one of the tougher questions which people in the world, and probably on here are going to be ones which could debate for hours on end about it. I personally beleive in Evolution, starting with the big bang and propelling the world to what it is today. But the tough thing in all of this is that I still think there is some divine force which made this all happen, I think there is a higher power (God) which sprung all of this into occuring the way that it did.

There's no way to explain this, and that's the reason that I look to god on this.

How did every thing in this world started?

I believe in Creation and I believe that a higher being caused us to exist   That in 7 days He was able to create the Universe, the planets and ultimately us. We exist because we have a purpose and the meaning of life is to find that purpose and whatever we would plan to do is all in his plan.
Science disagrees.
