3861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which project should I invest in? on: December 23, 2020, 06:43:53 AM
There are so many crypto projects, where should we invest?
OP did you edit your original post? I can see @rat03gopoh's post and reading it seems to indicate that you were talking some specific project.

So seeing it gone now, I would suggest you to follow @rat03gopoh's advice for now. In general, all DeFi projects that came in all of a sudden are going to be failures, dont let anyone tell you otherwise, because I have seen the same thing happen with ICOs and then STOs, IEOs and so on. Lending pools and stablecoins are never going to be a passive earning method - get that in your head too.

Additionally several DeFi projects are plain copy pasted project details only, no project in real = scam.

As for investing, Bitcoin is the only thing you need. Cool
3862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bounty hunter on: December 23, 2020, 06:38:58 AM
if the scam projects are the criminals, then bounty hunters are accomplices,
None of these statements are completely correct. The legal system related to bitcoin is still grey and calling someone a criminal for a currency that has still not gone out from its development is wrong. Although we can consider token offerings to be shady stuff if not a legal security, still many times managers and bounty hunters make mistakes.

Quote
people need to check if the project is valid or not, if they can't besure, than they gotta face it and accept that they helped spreading a particular scam project, and also helped encouraging other scammers.
A fine gesture indeed. But will people follow your advice? No. Bounty hunters in this forum act like brain dead zombies, though the condition has improved nowadays. Even then we see idiotic users keep spamming bounties that have been declared scam and then come back spewing bile in the "Reputation" section about their negative trust ratings. Cool
3863  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying a Tesla with Bitcoin on: December 23, 2020, 06:34:15 AM
Some days ago, he shill Dodge which made it to rise by 30%, he will always do whatever favour his portfolio and never turn his back on Tesla. Invest wisely bro.
If someone is still listening to these celebs in order to plan their investments then they are biggest fools in the game. You dont listen to others to put in your own money. Rather do your own research before investing - is that not common sense? It is but people dont use it - the reason being that it is very easy to blame others in case the investment does not work out instead of blaming themselves.

Point is that you can buy Teslas, Lambos, - dont matter to anybody but of course the ones who built that car will. They want their products to be sold. Their CEO showing up a nice bullmove on the markets draws the attention from the bitcoin whales. Thats why they do that.
3864  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: December 22, 2020, 01:01:25 PM
This is true, saturated with useless project but we lack good projects to exists in the space, it's necessary that these bad projects will be eliminated so people confidence will be back again and they'll be able to help the projects with real potential to grow.
The bad projects will never be eliminated completely. This is a difference from the stock market that has been a thorn on the crypto market. We see so many projects here do so many things. But 99% are failures. Whatever sugarcoated stuff they say in the first, it all ends up with very low price and useless tokens which cannot be spent anywhere.

So yes that type of saturation does exist and bad project keep on coming.

My suggestion is to follow bitcoin only. Because it is what is going to be big in future.
3865  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] QubitTech Offering Margin trading like a ponzi scheme on: December 22, 2020, 12:54:28 PM
This bounty manager has been previously called out about promoting such shady projects but they don't seem care about the same. While this is not a crime but definitely needs to be stopped from the side of the manager itself. Mistakes happen with everyone but not making amends to them is a sign of public nuisance.

I am sure some brain dead bounty hunters are looking for it bounty thread hoping to get a share, not knowing that the scammers are using them only to scam more users.
3866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the Best UseCase of VC or Bitcoin? on: December 22, 2020, 12:46:33 PM
The best use case in my opinion is already shown to public but they fail to realize it. That is the use of crypto as a currency and a mode of transaction that is censorship resistant and decentralised. This means bitcoin cannot have a central control and this type of a deflationary currency might be a different economic system altogether.

If governments may not wish to accept it even then it will be same and not stop growing in price and popularity

Surely we are still to see any significant flaws in this system.
3867  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying a Tesla with Bitcoin on: December 21, 2020, 08:30:12 AM
I mean I understand the craze here, but you guys shifted from Lambos to Teslas too soon. Grin

Talk about accumulating bitcoin, No, you want Teslas and have wet dreams of the same. Rather see this as the opportunity to sell some bitcoins and book a profit. We are holding nicely at 22K and might reach 25K soon - my realistic price assumption for now.

But seriously, if you want to spend your bitcoin, be logical and stop dreaming of cars. Be logical and think how you can spend it on things you need and not what you are greedy about.
3868  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Protocol Finance Plagiarized Whitepaper on: December 21, 2020, 08:26:06 AM
This shows how badly trained the employees of exchanges that come up recently have been and how loosely they have listed projects tokens on their exchange without doing some basic checks.

I hope some people who are using Hotbit might get linked to this thread and understand that the PFI project might be a scam and therefore not deal in any tokens.

Is it possible to send this thread link to the official Hotbit support team so the issue might get escalated there?
3869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bounty hunter on: December 21, 2020, 08:20:16 AM
The campaign manager is not responsible whatever the negative things happen during bounty, he is also getting paid for managing the campaign. Even he is also one of the people like us, which he will research the basic things about the project and start promoting the campaign in order to get awareness about the project.
Correct statements. The managers who are well known here are known to have a good track record of the project they campaigned about and in most cases the project paid their hunters and participants as per discussed terms.

Often new managers hoping to get a job here, attempt to go with the shady projects but of they dont get paid up-front. From a project owners perspective paying the manager upfront is not going to be common, added the fact that 99% of the coin offering projects are failures from the start.

Still hunters should do their own research. Missing out things that could easily identify the project as scam is not a good thing.
3870  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc and alts on: December 21, 2020, 07:51:43 AM
it is agreeable that, the surges in bitcoin is reflected in altcoins as it lives investors with the notion that, bitcoin has surge too high with the price so high, having an established altcoins isn't a bad idea and hope for a rise in the nearest future which accounts for the rise in altcoins markets.

This is still tied to bitcoin and a correction in bitcoin is relatively reflected in the later though, not so much.
I know and that is why I tell others to stop wasting time trying to correlate the two. It is like trying to find something in a place where it does not exist. Speculative markets are like that, dont let the patterns fool your mind into thinking that there is a link between altcoin and bitcoin price changes every single time.

For example, the litecoin halving saw a rise in price of litecoin at that time. But bitcoin did rise too but not to that extent. I could go on saying that probably people bought bitcoin at that time without knowing the reason but it would be a stretch of the fact.
3871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the most important thing in the development of a project? on: December 21, 2020, 07:48:14 AM
yes, some good points. especially about project product development as well as marketing, products that are well developed or have a large demand in this market have positive points for the project.
Large demand? I think that is a term applicable to traditional fiat markets than crypto markets. I am yet to see some crypto project develop something that has a demand that cannot be met already by a counterpart in the fiat projects.

The group of people who still attempt to drive such a project end up failing miserably only swayed by statements of how "anti-establishment" they are. Plain bullshit if you ask me, it is a forced coercion into following such failed projects. Small niche projects have no place in this world, whether that is a good or bad thing, does not matter.

Quote
and this can ensure that the project has quality products and the team has good marketing.
Those will become secondary if the project itself is already saturated by mainstream companies.
3872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best places for Crypto Traders on: December 20, 2020, 05:30:05 AM
Twitter is almost similar like telegram and there are bunch of scammers there and what makes it different it there's someone can moderate the group in telegram to prevent the scammers to spread the link to the fake token but in twitter you can do nothing about that. you will see bunch of scammers are still spreading the fake coins to be bought by the newcomers.
that make us should be carefully before try to clicking into the any links on twitter.
It's better to avoid these platforms as far as investment advise is concerned. You don't want to take the koolaid of some shills ever in this sector.

It's also how scams get promoted without anyone knowing it to be a scam in the first place. The social media never takes into account how well spammer accounts, bots and so can be created and therefore we must remain vigilant about the possibility of scams.

If you want to make decisions for investment do your own research. Never trust anyone on the internet with a fancy name.
3873  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it worth margin trading Bitcoin now? on: December 20, 2020, 04:57:56 AM
Bitcoin being back and same as it was before the blast and upturn of the subsequently would portray why holding aching it would be better. There are quick brokers, middle merchants and holders dealers, every one of whom have targets and reinforcement plans. As far as I might be concerned, the holder is something troublesome, should have a solid attitude of save assets and against fluid for edge players.
I think a bull run indicates a influx of spot trading as compared to margin trading. This is the time to book profits off the difference of buying and selling price, that is in case you were diligent enough to buy at the lows.

Margin came more into prevalence when bitcoin was stagnant and kept on cycling between fixed levels back this year and previous year. That was the time the forum was filled with such topics and shills promoting their exchanges and exchanges touting their newly launched margin markets.
3874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's up with all this 100k FUD? on: December 19, 2020, 11:43:31 AM
Why people love to create this round numbers fud all the time
same thing last time with the 10k and before with the 1k
you will never gonna stop are you?
If you ask me, 100k USD is a stretch. That much rise will probably not be happening right away. A more feasible target would be 25k.

This is the effect of optimism and therefore will not stop.

Just like people become greedy about stuff and don't use logic similarly they make such predictions and see nothing happen.

We are rather seeing a resistance at 22k USD again - probably selling pressure as people are booking profits. Be logical and sell some at this price to make sure the flow of money remains even.
3875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Altcoins Follow BTC Rally? on: December 19, 2020, 11:34:25 AM
Sometimes we see When the BTC High then Alts move slightly. So, what's the correlation of Alts with BTC?
No direct correlation if you ask me though others might say that one follows the other.

I am more of the opinion that altcoin rises are a artificial pump that sometimes follow bitcoin but do not sustain it. It would be easy to say that altcoins follow bitcoin but often they drop early than bitcoin.

Nonetheless, if you are holding altcoins sell them at the price rise and don't keep on holding them through a bull run. You might not see such prices again in future. So grab the opportunity while it exists
3876  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get VIP Signals? on: December 19, 2020, 11:28:26 AM
If that's the reason then OP is just risking his money.

It will be a waste of time  and money if you don't have any knowledge and just relying with those paid signal group.  Knowing bitcoin or the entire crypto have a huge volatility. Chances to burned your money due to emotions and lack of understanding is really possible to happen.
Easy money is what gets these people burnt off their money. This topic is not being asked the first time and mostly these are newbies asking because they either got lured to joining one such group or already entered the vicious cycle of loss and desperation sometime and is now asking others if they did right.

This is the reason why such groups flourish. They keep scamming some newbies and there is an unending supply of foolish noobs ready to get duped.
3877  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin All time High $23k : What is secret of this High . on: December 19, 2020, 11:23:21 AM
When we try to analyse and see what is the cause of this massive rally that we have seen lately, it's really hard to answer. So it boils down to the basic supply and demand. There are many buyers in the market and obviously, the price continue to rise. Perhaps the maturity after the bitcoin halving is now showing and then we have big companies investing as well, it's a combination, but basically, supply and demand factor.
No single reason is enough and no reason is absolute in this sector either. There might be bull runs due to specific reasons or just speculation. As per my observation the second one becomes stronger because of FOMO and the price goes way beyond buying levels and then drops to lower levels.

The thing traders do now is sell and then wait for it to go back down. This will happen and is the thing of utmost importance despite what newbies might think. Keep cycling the money. Dont keep on holding if you are looking to profit. If you don't sell and keep thinking about reasons you will only waste time. This is the time to catch the cycle.
3878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Potential coins under 50 million dollars market cap? Can someone give me a hint? on: December 18, 2020, 12:19:30 PM
The above posts are informative to get what you have asked for.

However if you are new to this sector of cryptocurrency, I would ask you to think twice on your decision.

Altcoins are and have always been second to bitcoin. Whatever koolaid those project owners might say, dont buy it. I have been watching them and seen projects go both up and down but the ups never were sustained nor any real development ever occurred.

As per my experience none of the altcoins on the top10 of Coinmarketcap are worth buying.

You might have different opinions, which I would definitely like to hear but not argue on, because arguing with an altcoin lover is like fighting with a windmill.
3879  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin All time High $23k : What is secret of this High . on: December 18, 2020, 12:12:52 PM
I am Not Understanding This high
There might be a reason, but the question is do you really need to?

Ask me, I cant give a straight answer to any such speculative question, some trading "analyst" might be able to give better answer. But what I can tell you is how to seize the opportunity - do so by selling some coins at this new all-time-high instead of drooling over it and seeing it go up.

Because from what I have seen, the euphoria and greed stop people from selling and booking a profit. You will buy back but at lows and trust me lows will happen again no matter what.

Keep the cycle going, dont drool over the price. Reasons get revealed late, by that time the chance will have slipped away.
3880  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] YourSwap Plagiarized Whitepaper on: December 18, 2020, 12:06:58 PM
Good catch, but I dont think the owners of the "scam" are going to post a topic of their own here anymore. Either they have been hunted previously by our scam hunters or they have been tagged and flagged on some previous scam.

Either way, this should again be a reminder to many wannabe investors to always do some routine checkup of a project before putting in a single satoshi there. More sophisticated methods to hide their plagiarism have been developed but some scammers follow these old school methods and therefore can be stopped easily.
