The good news is that the balance hasn't been moved, so if that address belongs to your wallet all you have to do is to dump its private key and import it into another wallet such as Electrum.

If you want to yest out how bitcoin core works and familiarize yourself with it, you should do it on the testnet.

I agree with RapTarX. You were able to login to your account and even made few posts years after the passwords leak incident. Therefore, I don't think it was banned because of the hack.

I took a look at your posts and couldn't find any staked address you can use to prove ownership of the account. So, it will be hard to recover it unless you still have access to the original email used when you registred in 2014.

It makes sense if someone who bet on Biden to be frustrated and complain about the delay (although they are just delaying the inevitable). Those who placed bets on Trump to win may think of this as a second chance but their odds are really tiny.

If the bookmaker made it clear that they will only consider the final and official result announcement, then there is nothing to complain about as the gambler has to accept and agree to the bookie's terms before placing a bet.

This sounds more dangerous than the email phishing attack. Phishing sms are less common and most users aren't aware of such attack, so I expect many will be tricked this time.

فقط توضيح بخصوص هذه النقطة، في الواقع يمكن استعمال Paypal لشراء العملات المشفرة و بيعها اي تغيير النقود بكريبتو و العكس صحيح. ما لا يمكنك القيام به هو استعمال العملات المشفرة كوسيلة للدفع اي للشراء من المتاجر و غيرها.

سبب اغلاق حساب المستخدم كان بسبب قيامه بعمليات بيع و شراء البيتكوين بشكل مفرط لتحقيق الربح من تذبذب السعر.
لحد الان لا يوجد اي سبب وجيه لاستخدام Paypal لبيع و شراء البيتكوين فما تقدمه المنصات الاخرى افضل بكثير من جميع النواحي.

Since your friend believes he created an single-address account and didn't import a public key then I suppose he mistakengly deleted its private key which converted the wallet to a watch only wallet.

Unfortunately, after deleting the private key there is no way to recover it.

That's not always true. If you try to make an in-play bet you will notice that the odds keep changing and if you select two or three events it will be almost impossible to place your bet without instantly accepting the new odds proposed by the bookie. Bookies rely mainly on third party services to feed them with real-time data which allow them to adjust their odds accordingly.

that file last update was on 2015 and only contains the first 317000 blocks, it's size is 22566124235 byte (~21gb).
Now, the blockchain size is around 300gb. Meaning, even if he downloads the torrent file, his bitcoin core wallet will have to download more than 280gb of data to fully synchronize.
Besides, since version 0.10, using core to download from other peers became faster than downloading from torrent (read the update on top of the article you linked).

Not sure if this is just another scam exchange, but what I know is that you shouldn't rely on CMC ranking or the trading volumes it shows as it can be easily faked by reporting falsified data.

Are you going to completely wipe your computer's hard drive before selling it or simply uninstalling the Electrum software? If you've saved the seed (12 word recovery phrase) then you can use it to restore your wallet on any other device any time you want.
