3881  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] Naober or Walmart34 on: April 25, 2020, 08:46:12 PM
Naober or Walmart34 has been accused of scamming so many people for a while now. Even a simple Google search would have got you first-hand information on the kind of person you are dealing with.

Never trust any random stranger over the web, always use an escrow service if you value your money.
3882  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitrefill & ASOS on: April 24, 2020, 05:26:36 PM
I have a question. I have never used gift cards for online purchases before and so i would like to know if it's possible for one to have a successful purchase and delivery of items from ASOS using ASOS UK gift cards even when one is not within UK or EU?
3883  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bit-Get : Bitcoin Widget on: April 24, 2020, 06:05:23 AM
Any plans of having a PC version of this app?
It would also be nice if the source code was available for viewing to users just to be sure app wasn't created for malicious intentions. Trust is so hard to come by here since scammers have killed it all with malware that steal people's funds and sensitive information.
3884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The BEST Altcoin price ticker widge for Windows PC (Recommend!) on: April 24, 2020, 05:55:57 AM
i absolutely understand what you are saying here , it was the first that i was thinking of when start reading OP , but on the other hand , there are a lot of very smart guys here who will find out if anything is wrong and with around 10 pages i will give it a try , maybe , ehm or not , not sure for now but app sees great to me
It's a great app and i have been using it for a while. Even the free version is awesome. Before using it i first hard to check if the file wasn't infected with any malware.
Would have been nice if it was open source. We people in crypto space are so paranoid because a couple of lines of code can steal all your funds.
3885  Other / Meta / Re: Cartesi is creating multiple threads on same ANN on: April 23, 2020, 04:25:08 AM
It's not allowed. Report the posts to the moderators and the efforts by cartesi to spam the altcoin discussion and bounties boards will be thwarted. Imagine if each and every shit project did the same. It would be more than a mess in there.
3886  Other / Meta / Re: What does "here" mean by hilariousandco? on: April 22, 2020, 11:23:08 PM
It's probably because the board is littered with Vietnamese threads despite having a thread dedicated to them,  just check out and see for your self: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=11.0,  So from what i understand. He decided to lock the main thread dedicated to the Vietnamese due to abuse as some sort of punishment and also has warned that anybody got posting another Vietnamese thread in the board risks getting banned.

Edit:
Looks like it was due to Spamming back in 2017. I don't know if the banning applies even now. Probably hilariousandco will have the best answer.
3887  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: April 22, 2020, 09:45:58 PM
Indeed we have switched off Payoneer from our monitor as it has limited demand among our users. There might be exchangers working with this currency, a user may want to manually check the listed exchangers: https://www.bestchange.com/list.html
Looks like they are very strict when it comes to transactions involving cryptocurrencies according to a reply by one of the members who probably has experience using Payoneer.

It probably explains why there is limited or no demand for use of the service when exchanging to crypto or vice versa
3888  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Walmart34 scammed me after doing great business for 4 months on: April 21, 2020, 11:33:51 PM
I disagree.  He has no chance of getting near DT, so why waste time bloating up your list?

The flag does a lot more than making a private note you won't trust him if he ever gets on DT.
Absolutely on point.
Distrusting should mostly come in mind when a scammer has a high potential of becoming a DT member or is already one. Negative feedback and trust flags should be more than enough. If they do try to get on DT later on, members will notice it.
3889  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people run away from trading!!! on: April 21, 2020, 10:48:17 PM
One of the worst mistakes one can do while attempting to trade or learn how to trade is use the money they can not afford to lose. For example trying to trade using Life savings, borrowed money or Loans. If things go South. It can be catastrophic and can lead to Post traumatic Stress Disorder due to the heavy losses incurred.
3890  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Order Fulfillment time estimation ? on: April 21, 2020, 10:22:42 PM
I suggest you trade on another platform if you need it quickly. Cointiger is a mid-tier or possibly a low-tier exchange that has unreliable volume. Why not use something like Binance or the rest of them?
He was probably attracted by the price difference in cointiger as compared to other exchanges so my guess is he was looking to making quick profits through arbitrage that why he wanted to know how quick the order to get filled. But it makes no sense since cointiger has no sizable order volume even for the bid of 5000 TRX he was looking to have filled in the shortest time possible
3891  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: April 21, 2020, 10:15:19 PM
One topic here on forum reminds me of BTC to Payoneer exchange. it is very difficult to find this kind of offer.
I did not find any exchanger on BestChange which offer crypto vs. Payoneer exchange. it seems to me that there has been such exchanger before or I am wrong?
In fact, I had also come here to ask about the same thing. I was about to suggest your platform to this user but then i realized that there is no exchange involving Payoneer

I would also love to suggest about the search a button on the platform. Maybe inside the box that contains different options of exchanges, there should also be a search button that enable the user to make a quick search by just typing initial letters of the item they are looking for without them having to scroll through the whole list

Something like this; from exolix exchange.

Before typing initial letters

After typing initial letters

3892  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [BEWARE] Cashaa fake Rewards on: April 21, 2020, 08:56:02 PM
Number one red flag,  how does one get rewarded for literally participating in nothing?

So i checked out the website used for claiming rewards and guess what? They are asking for private keys and mnemonic phrases for your ERC20 addresses or wallets. In other words thry are trying to phish private keys/mnemonic phrases.

3893  Economy / Economics / Re: The drying oil on: April 21, 2020, 11:35:57 AM
But, why is the price be looking like this? It is not only the cars that uses oil, we also have a lot of machines that isn't running without the oil
Because cars are the biggest consumers oil and i know you know that. So lockdowns across the Globe means less demand. On top of all the crisis Russia and Saudi Arabia did something unusual after their stupid disagreements and decided to flood the market with excess oil.

You are also forgetting that more and more people are switching to Greener and renewable alternatives of Energy like Electric cars. Look at the trend of the graph, the price of oil may never achieve a new all-time high again
3894  Economy / Economics / Re: Stimulus package drop in coinbase on: April 21, 2020, 11:21:35 AM
So I've read that coinbase has been receiving a $1,200 deposits which the US government pays their citizen for quarantine relief, stimulus package.

The CEO of Coinbase Brian Armstrong reported that they were getting a huge number of deposits amounting $1,200 that quadrupled over a week.

Are we going to see a massive pump because of this?
Are you kidding?

Even if this was 100% true, people are going to have to cash out anyway to fiat currencies which they can easily spend. It's not like if Government deposited the money in their coinbase accounts, they would just HODL. In fact i would even expect the price to drop further due to massive selling pressure.
3895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you following our God Mr. Satoshi while saving your bitcoins on: April 21, 2020, 03:05:32 AM
Imagine if everyone here just got bitcoin and stored it in wallets for years or decades,  No trading off,  No transfers etc
What would be the point of bitcoin in the first place?
Do you think it would gain any value with no regular trade volumes?

For Bitcoin to compete with fiat currencies,  it has to be spendable on a mass scale.

Is this topic supposed to be under reputation though?  Maybe Bitcoin discussion would be a much more suitable board.
3896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 21, 2020, 12:03:05 AM
^  The 2020/2021 season could start later and be shortened by a couple of months.  And it'll probably safe enough in some areas to get people out in crowds again by then.

I hope I hope.  *fingers crossed*

A shortened EPL season would be roller coaster Cheesy

Imagine teams playing on a tight schedule with all the those tournaments and league competitions due to a shortened season. Maybe they would have to completely remove international friendlies or even International breaks as a whole.
3897  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone know coinazo.net?Can it trust?or scam? on: April 20, 2020, 11:51:15 PM
Some one add me on telegram and said help him to withdraw his funds
Than i reg. Account (ofcos a new password) 😏,
Then he send me 0.8812 and help him withdraw ,
When i withdraw ,
“ Due to EU adopts rules to reduce anonymity for crypto users 15 May 2018, we were forced to reduce the number of bots and after the exchange system. Your balance has been frozen until you make a deposit. Need to make a Deposit in the amount of 0 / 0.03 BTC.”
The site show me this, after that i post here and ask

It's an old scam trick. It has been here i think for about one and a half years. Do not send your money at all.
This thread contains a tone of such scam websites: New scam schema on the forum - Free Money To Test Casinos

Almost all of them have the CEX logo with that weird cryptual wording

Another member almost lost money here with one of these  latest "cryptual" websites. Good thing is that he did not send the money
They design is just as similar as the last websites i had listed here in my previous post.

Code:
https://cryptontokens.com
https://cryptonplatform.io

It was; https://cryptonplatform.io

I didn't use it as an exchange, i take $19 bonus and played roulette and win around $1000.
Now, i have 0.5BTC
Firstly, the support service said me ''you must activate your wallet'' but i didn't understand what is that. After they changed their domain, the support didn't respond me.
3898  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beware of fake okex.com exchange on: April 20, 2020, 11:16:18 PM
I don't understand Indonesian Language but a report from @masulum last month makes it seem like at one point the fake domain was on google Ads (I am not sure whether it is till there though)

Yes i see iokex on google ads last month, even last week i still seeing this fake domains on google ads. I don't know whats wrong with my report, since google not deleting this ads, maybe need more support from community to report ads before they are deleting that ads content.
That's the most annoying thing. There is probably nothing wrong with your report. I have also reported dozens and dozens of domains but even when they are clear scam or phishing attempts but nothing gets done by Google which is kind of discouraging.

Maybe they consider acting on reports made by a certain minimum number of people
3899  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance vs Coinbase Pro on: April 20, 2020, 11:04:18 PM
-snip-
You are right. This is the major reason coinbase is still in the game.
I don't know why but for some reason one of the first wallets/ exchange newbies get to know about or use is coinbase and blockchain.com wallet.

But you can use P2P Transaction of Binance Platform.

U can select which currency you are gonna use for cashout, so basically u trade with someone for selling and buying and binance will be a platform that provide this P2P transaction.

One of example, P2P transaction for cashout your crypto into fiat directly to our bank.
Most people are actually ignorant about this. Binance has lately brought out so many features that enable direct transactions from crypto to fiat and vice versa for most territories.

In fact, where i am from we even have a local binance crypto to fiat exchange platform with very cheap transaction fees.
3900  Economy / Reputation / Re: Where is ICOEthics now? on: April 20, 2020, 10:45:25 PM
The fact is that nobody really knows what happened except ICOEthics himself/herself/themselves. Most scam busters noticed his absence after a couple of months or so. He was so valuable Via busting ICO scams but luckily we had some other members who dedicated their time to the same cause at the time ICOEthics went offline.
A topic of this nature was made sometime back  - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5204917.0
