Developers have the right to choose, Ethereum is good but there are many options for developers, Ethereum has good utility but some.layer 1 projects have something better too so its left for developers to make a choice to their tastes.
I think that you are going a bit out of topic from the discussiong. It's about whether the ethereum merged will have an impact to the layer 2. In my opinion if merged has nothing to do with second layer solution. It's not about the dev choose based their taste. It's about the technical specs from the blockchain that can give a lot of benefits to the developers and its platforms. I think that people know this so well. |

Despite the fact that it will take a very long time to achieve the price of $1 given the current supply, I still believe that the Gala Project is one of the most active initiatives now in development. 2 billion is not really going to affect the 500 billion worth market so it will create a small movement in the market and later everything will be back to normal so why we need to worry about 1% when the average volatility range of the market can be 10%. I don't think so. don't you see how tesla was selling no more than 1 billion? it's enough to drive market to be panic sell. you can't compare it with marketcap but the correct thing is if you are using daily trade volume of bitcoin compared with how many bitcoins that will be dumped to the market. I doubt if coin like IOTA being accept with merchants that you have mentioned above. It's not about what kind of coin and how much is fees for transaction. If your coin didn't get accepted by merchant and then how can you spend it? You must accept the fact that if you are looking for coin that has no fees but it will be rarely accepted by merchants like you have mentioned above. We saw that in the failed LUNA project where every projects built on the old LUNA migrated with to the new one after it was launched. The difference is just that LUNA created a new blockchain which isn't the case in this ethereum 2.

If a gambling addicts moves to a rural area where their is no access to Internet for sure it will stop the addict from playing gambling at the moment but it doesn't mean that if the founds his self out from the environment to a place where he will have access to online and physical gambling he will not go back to gambling lifestyle.
