Chelsea needs to be more clinical in their finishing. They played incredibly well in the first half, but because James was injured and couldn't play in the second, they played horribly. Chelsea prevailed in nearly every game James played. Chelsea seems to lose or draw a match if James is not featured in the match. If Chelsea wants to top the Premier League table, they must find a better James substitute.
There is a lot for Chelsea as a whole to improve on if they are to rejoin the teams at the top. I really like Darwin Nunez though because he is fast, good in the air, I was shocked when I read the news Darwin Nunez completed his move to Liverpool because Arsenal had first interest in the player but were sloppy with the deal and Liverpool got him. I hope Gakpo is not here to replace Darwin Nunez rather be a backup. Nunez might not be meeting your expectations but I don't doubt his abilities and I know he will deliver for Liverpool.
The presence of Gakpo at Liverpool will be good for player rotation, Liverpool still have 3 competitions where they have to play quite a lot of matches so having a backup striker who is just as good will be able to get them good results in every game especially they really need to win in all League matches if want to be in the top 4 Gakpo being bought by liverpool as a rotation for nunez. To be honest, i don't really think that any team can really threaten Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this year. I just don't see any team right now that is strong enough in the long run to really push Bayern Munich from it's throne in Germany. I agree though, that RB Leipzig is the second strongest team in Germany and if a team is able to beat Bayern for the Bundesliga title in the coming years, then i think it is Leipzig and not Dortmund. I already said, that Leipzig is stronger than the BVB even before the season started, because for me the business model of Borussia Dortmund is not good if you want to play for titles. They are buying new and talented players and then there are two options. They are developing great, then they will go to bigger clubs as it happened with Sancho, Dembele, Haaland and soon Bellingham. The second option is that they don't develop that well and then they stay at Dortmund.
Bayern Munich is a big club that has good strength to always win in this League, Bayern Munich has never felt the power in the Champions League so I'm sure Leipzig will be easy to beat by Bayern Munich, even though like that Leipzig only has a small chance to beat Bayern Munich and it will be very difficult for them to do that. Milan vs tottenham is a good match up i think both teams are on the same level i think tottenham has a slight advantage that lies in their champions league experience because we didn't see milan team on the play offs in a while and most of their players are not familiar with the champions league competition but they have really young talented players that can make the difference so i expect it to be a war.

In my own opinion Chelsea only needed a good striker for their team, if they can sign Ronaldo that will be a better addition to complement Abumeyang and Broja in their attack the attack to score more goals, meanwhile in the absence of injured Kante in the midfield players like of Kovacic, Conor Gallagher, Zakaria, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount and host of few others didn't do badly and infeed performed well, recall when Graham Potter was new appointed as their new manager they had a steaks of wins consistently without Kante helped by who was Kepa very brilliant at goal, they should sign Ronaldo In a matter urgency doing so will absolutely up their game and remain consistent in their subsequent matches.
Chelsea have players who already play in that position, players like Aubameyang, Broja and sometimes Kai Havertz who has been played as a false nine on several occasions for Chelsea. Chelsea have a weak attack judging from their goal stats in the past 5 games before the break. Talking about the midfield, they have quite a number of midfield options so they don't have much problem in the midfield, the main problem is the attack that needs improvement. Aubameyang,broja and havertz were having very bad performance with chelsea. these players were rarely making the goal in EPL. Reece james was only the good player in CFC but reece james has been suffering the injury. that makes chelsea just like lose its strength after reece james got injury. Aubameyang was a striker that can do nothing for that. Public aware if there are so many players in CFC that must be replaced as soon as possible. Chelsea's problem in all of lines. |
