Barcelona have made contact with Paris St-Germain over a potential move to bring Brazil forward Neymar, 29, back to the Nou Camp. I thought that story was already over given the great financial crisis of Barcelona.
In my opinion, if Barcelona brings back Neymar to the Camp Nou, Messi will prolly not leave, for now it's still uncertain the direction Messi will take, either to leave or to stay, but after the duo (Messi and Neymar), had a stellar time together in Barca, including Suarez (MSN), making them one of the deadliest trio to have played together in world football, I believe Neymar's return could possibly be enough to convince Lionel to finish his career at Barcelona.
Chelsea are set to challenge Barcelona for the signing of Adrien Rabiot from Juventus this summer, with the France midfielder, 26, available for £17m.
With a price tag of £17m, I think the French man is pretty much affordable, and many clubs, not just this two (Chelsea and Barca), will be interested, imo, Rabiot will be better suited in Barcelona, his style of play is similar to what's played in Spain, the EPL could prove to be too physical for him.
3882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 01, 2021, 03:01:52 PM
Crystal Palace 0 - 2 Manchester City A good away win for city who now has 5 fingers on the 2021 premier league trophy.
After that very important win for City, they and their fans will have their eyes on the United v Liverpool game, a win for Liverpool and City will be champions with four games to spare; even if Liverpool do not win, the league is certainly City's. Pep made quite a lot of changes this afternoon, with PSG coming to the Etihad in a few days, City's creative players were given a good rest today, and they'll be ready and fresh to go on Tuesday, it could end up being a fantastic season for City, if they can bag the treble, with the elusive CL finally coming to the Etihad.
3883  Economy / Economics / Re: Will China take over the world with the Digital Yuan? on: April 30, 2021, 09:07:03 PM
What are your thoughts? Will China take over the world with the Digital Yuan? Or will everything else remain the same?
CBDC's are still more or less a trial/experiment/tentative idea, there's no way any country is taking over the world by launching them, since their success isn't even determined not certain yet, it could still very well be a failed experiment. The thing is everything will more likely stay the same way, in the sense that even if the CBDC's are a success, it'll be no better than the nation's Fiat currency, just a digital version.
Do you think China's Digital Currency will force other countries to launch digital currencies of their own? How long do you think the transition will happen from paper money to digital Fiat?
Most countries have in one way or another mentioned that they are working on their CBDC, thus it'll be a regular thing in the coming years. I don't think there'll be any 'transition' from paper currency to CBDC's, they'll both be used, and it's the "digital Fiat" that will be used less.
3884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: April 30, 2021, 08:45:34 PM
$620, which is what BNB is atm is pretty close to $1k, thus I believe Binance coin will get to that price in the coming months, Altcoins generally have been doing pretty well in the past couple of weeks, even at the time when Bitcoin wasn't doing so well, if Altcoins continue to pump, then BNB can appreciate as high as Investors least expected it to.

Having said that, it's all about how well BNB can sustain this spike, and if it can last for the long term, the next 5 years and more is enough for BNB to develop their network if they want to stay relevant to investors in the long run, but if not, they'll prolly dump and be forgotten in the coming years.
3885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a Altcoin Research Service on: April 30, 2021, 06:44:46 PM
I'm having a fulltime job and a business on the side. So, I just don't have the time to do this research myself.
Thank you guys.
There are prolly quite a lot of services offering 'expert advice/research', the thing is just that in cryptocurrency there's a rule of thumb that emphasizes on users taking responsibility of their funds, and DYOR falls very much under that responsibility, you could be lucky once or twice if you 'employ' such services to search for projects for you and the project turns successful, but then again, you could be less lucky another time. You could even be paying such service, and yet no extensive research is being carried out, it is what it is, you're basically responsible for whatever their folly is, cause it's your funds being invested.
3886  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay humble and stay safe on: April 30, 2021, 04:13:18 PM
Why trying to hide when crypto billionaires are well known? Why trying to hide when crypto isn't illegal?
This is not true in my own, 'crypto billionaires' aren't known that much except of course they were popular/successful even before they prolly invested in Bitcoin. Elon Musk for example can't be said to have made his wealth through crypto as he was a successful business man even prior to his endorsing Bitcoin and other altcoins. Thus, it's the popularity of these individuals and their association with Bitcoin that makes it look like "crypto billionaires are well known".

Having said that, you're basically not hiding, as a crypto user you have to take responsibility of your funds by protecting yourself, a $5 wrench attack is a possibility for crypto holders, and there are prolly other ways to avoid being attacked physically, but staying quiet about your stash is about the best way possible to do so.
3887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: April 30, 2021, 09:29:51 AM
The Manchester United team is really all out to win this league, it was a massive demolition for Roma.
It was not really top of their list in terms of priority at the beginning of the season, and also considering they've already qualified for the UCL via the EPL, the UEL is more or less a consolation for them this season if they manage to win it, a club of United's pedigree should be challenging for major trophies like the UCL and the EPL, but this trophy could also be the morale boost they need to challenge for top trophies next season.

Having said that, Arsenal need the trophy more than United cause they have no way of qualifying for next season's UCL except via the Europa league, they lost the first leg yesterday, and have to put in a good performance in the second leg if they want to compete with the big teams in the UCL next season.

It is widely known that those that do well with bitcoin are those that actually believe in the technology and this is because when they see a crash like the one we saw some time ago they do not panic and they can keep holding their coins and they can be part of the recovery we are experiencing right now.
I second that, and for users who believe in the network and have carried out research on the historical price movements would already be knowledgeable in what price corrections are, and when they happen and the price falls/plunges for the meantime, it'll spike/appreciate if the investor hodls for a while; but the thing is, it's more likely the scenario only with Bitcoin, for Altcoins that are more of pump and dump coins which I do not consider as long term investments, it's best to take ROI when you have the chance or before the coin dumps.
3889  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay humble and stay safe on: April 29, 2021, 05:01:09 PM
I don't really get what you are trying to point or to share here.
I think OP's point is that users who tell quite a lot of people that they have crypto run the risk of losing their statsh, and OP is very much correct, there's a thread that stresses on this point: Why it's important to avoid telling everyone about your crypto holdings, scammers do not always have to hack your account by stealing your private keys or seed phrase, but there's also the possibility of a "$5 wrench attack" occuring (which is OP's point), and that's a situation where thieves compel you through physical damage to grant them access to your funds.

Having said that, many Bitcoin losses through physical damage could prolly have been avoided if the scammers didn't know the victims had Bitcoin, or by extension, if the victims didn't make their possession of Bitcoin privy to people, which makes them a target as a result.
3890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Eyes on BTC Dominance! on: April 29, 2021, 03:04:20 PM
What I notice is when btc dominance is low and at that moment if btc crashes then it doesn't drag down alts too like it use to so its like btc and alts are not correlated any more in price.
That's what it seems atm, Bitcoin has been doing pretty bad in the past couple of days, in sharp contrast to altcoins like Ethereum for example that have been doing somewhat good, I'd not say alts and Bitcoin are no longer connected, and prolly this scenario has to occur for quite a while before we can lay claim to that, Bitcoin's dominance in the next few weeks will determine a lot for the crypto network.
3891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jose Mourinho Next Club? on: April 29, 2021, 02:31:42 PM
Is this guy still relevant or just a washed up old manager?
This is the same question club board directors/owners will be asking themselves if they have any interest in Mourinho's services, imo, he's been sacked too many times already, that could be an indication they his philosophies are prolly no longer what's expected nor what's adequate in the modern game; Mou is more of a defensive than an offensive manager, though that methodology has worked in the past and he's won quite a lot of trophies with it, but big clubs hardly want to play that way cause they have big players, thus they are expected to dominate most of the games they play, and not to sit back and wait for the counter.

A smaller club would fit Mou based on his philosophies, but then he is a big manager, and a small club isn't at his level/standards, that's the delimma, I'm pretty sure Mou would not return to the EPL for now, the French or Italian league would be a good option, but the question is which (BIG) teams will want him, I can't think of any as of the moment.
3892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 29, 2021, 02:10:09 PM
I actually think they managed the game well before conceding that total fluke of a goal. It was a clear goalkeeper error, there weren't even that many players in front of him.
That was definitely no 'fluke' from Kevin De Bruyne, true he needed a little bit of luck for the ball to go in, but you can as well take nothing away from the quality of the delivery into the box, if it wasn't a quality delivery, then it wouldn't have even troubled Navas, and looking at that goal for a second time, I see no reason to blame Keylor Navas cause John Stones was about to attack that ball, though the ball curled out of his reach, but just that action by John as he tried to attack the ball confused the goalkeeper as he felt the direction of the ball was about to change, it happens quite a lot of times in football.
PSG can still win but they have to score two goals minimum. Not impossible:)
Of course, the tie isn't decided just yet, but City would love the position they are in at the moment, PSG will have to stop City from scoring at the Etihad if they are to have a chance of going through, but it's pretty difficult to stop City from scoring, they have so much quality in their side, and they are always in pole position to outscore any team they face.
3893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the significance of taking profit on: April 25, 2021, 12:50:28 PM
I'd prolly second your ideas op if you're basically talking about just altcoins, personally I don't consider altcoins to be long term investments, and if I'm to ever invest in any of them, I'd take my ROI asap, cause it seems to me with altcoins that there is always a dump on its way and that's cause a pretty high number of them are pump and dump coins. But that said, Bitcoin as a long term choice is good investment, there will obviously be price corrections every now and then, but if you do your own research into the network's historical price movements, then you'll prolly not be forced to sell under panic when they happen (considering you've decided to invest for the long period).
3894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2020/2021 on: April 24, 2021, 11:15:24 PM
Chelsea pushing hard to make sure they get a Champions League place but West Ham United are also in the race.
West Ham have enjoyed a long period of spectacular form and imo they deserve to be in the top four, but it's highly unlikely that they'll achieve it, Chelsea have managed to leapfrog them into fourth position with five games left, imo, Chelsea will finish the season in fourth position, they still have City left to play though, a game they could well lose, so West Ham fans can still keep their hopes high, but Chelsea being the big club that they are should be able to see this through and qualify for the CL next season.
3895  Economy / Economics / Re: Former Employees From Major South Korean Firms Quit Their Jobs After Pocketing M on: April 24, 2021, 10:59:01 PM
from here we can learn that no matter how long we work in a company, in the end the decision to put forward a bright future is to invest finances from the first day you leave the company (like the employee did). that way when they stop working, there will be results waiting in sight. both for himself and for the future of the family.
The thing is, investments don't always end up as a means of acquiring riches, there's still quite a lot of risks you'll have to face as an investor, the individuals in the article OP posted were lucky, prolly cause they invested luckily at the right time, but the case is not always that for every regular Joe out there; even Bitcoin isn't a 'safe Haven asset' as of yet, and imo, even before or after making ROI from Bitcoin or whatever crypto it is, quiting your job IRL should never be an option. Having said that, despite how positive the news may seem for crypto in the media, I still have my concerns on the misconception it could create for some that crypto is all a 'get rich quick scheme'.
3896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Crypto Communities Matters? on: April 24, 2021, 09:53:06 PM
The thing is quite a lot of newcomers are not looking for crypto communities to acquire crypto knowledge but to look for signals for profits and ROI, if newcomers are actually seeking crypto knowledge then they'll most likely join crypto communities such as BTT and the other few communities that are repositories of good cryptocurrency knowledge. Most of the groups that give signals/'expert predictions' to newbies are usually filled with quite a lot of scammers, so it becomes easy for them to get scammed, having said that, newbies should steer clear from such groups when new to the network, but rather firstly acquire sufficient knowledge of cryptocurrency.
3897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC still wants XRP so badly on: April 24, 2021, 08:41:04 PM
I still envy their whale, they keep accumulating every dip, perhaps they know xrp will win over SEC at the end.
Even if they have the believe that SEC will lose to XRP when the verdict is out, it's still pretty risky imo as it's about pump and dump for now, XRP pumps when a positive news (in XRP's favor) on the case emerges and it dumps when there's a negative one, so everything is more or less hanging in the balance at the moment, and if SEC ends up winning, then the hodlers may end up with dumped coins.
I do not know why SEC keep suing xrp instead of leaving it alone.
You'd not expect SEC to back down from this case, the lawsuit has been filed and they are obviously going to see it to the end, they may well lose, but the verdict better be in favor of XRP for the sake of all their investors still holding their coins.
3898  Economy / Economics / Re: Markets taking profit on: April 23, 2021, 09:00:36 PM
There is still opportunity to be part of this great profit that is still on going in the market, if only you can still hold your coins and watch the market very well. Despite the price of bitcoin dropped few days ago does not mean it will continue decreasing in this season. According to some researchers, bitcoin will hit $80k soon before it can allow any altcoin to over the first position in the cryptocurrencies.
The thing is, 'researchers and experts' are sometimes guilty of causing misconception for newcomer investors, Bitcoin could well get to 80k and even over, but this 'experts' are only being speculative, but then go on to make their predictions assertive, this sometimes causes people to 'invest more than what they can afford to lose', or sell in panic when there's a price correction.

Having said that, all one basically needs to do is believe in the network, study it's historical price movements, research on your own and don't associate Bitcoin only with 'great profits', the Bitcoin network/currency is more than just that, but people only want to be allured with promises of wealth.
3899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 23, 2021, 08:34:52 PM
I think Psg will win if Manchester City plays in attack like they usually do and can be hit from counter attacks...
PSG also play attacking football, so it's going to be the both teams going for the win and neither of them sitting back, except of course either, or both of the managers change their attacking style we have come to know them for, but if not, I don't think the game will be won on 'sit back and counter attack' strategy, but two teams going at it hammer and tongs and the better side victorious at the end of the day.
When it comes to the City - PSG draw, it will be a very close one undoubtedly. But it seems to me like City are in a better condition and form now.
I second that too, and PSG play at home first, so if City can get something from the first leg (away goals), they can head into the second leg with an advantage, City have also finally gotten over their QF jinx of being eliminated in that stage of the competition, as they advanced to the semis for the second time in their history, they could well use that momentum and go all the way to the trophy.
3900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 23, 2021, 08:18:56 PM
They paid a low price for the potential that this guy has... € 26mi.
Unfortunately, Fluminense is a Brazilian team that's having a lot of financial problems and this amount comes in good time.
I don't think the signing fee is at that price cause Fluminense are in any form of financial crisis, Kayky is just 17 years old, so imo, that's more that enough to acquire his services, I still expect City to send him on one or two loans before he can start getting playing time at the Etihad, by his age, he's clearly a signing for the future.
Kayky really is a talented player who played very well here in Brazil, hopefully, everything will work out for him in Manchester City too.
If he can be patient in City, then I see no reason why he would not make it in the team, the thing is City is a team with quite a lot of talented/quality players, so everyone has to work for their place, just as Phil Foden did, if Kayky can work hard, in the next couple of seasons he could be a mainstay in City's first team.
