3881  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency: The Future of Finance in a New World Order? on: August 11, 2021, 03:32:15 PM
Why do people keep thinking that we are possessing a serious threat to financial world? I mean the existing financial world could very well continue without trouble for centuries if the only opponent is crypto.

Obviously there is a situation where super wealthy people are living life where they do not spend 1/10th of their money for anything, which means that we are talking about a world where rich have minimum 100x times more than what they need, most of them even more, and the humans are starving at the same time in the same world.

This can't continue forever and it will eventually change, nobody says bring in communism but at least lets save the people who are starving to death right? That is not too much to ask? You can't just say "let them starve to death" in any reason at all. Same goes for health, nobody should die because they couldn't pay for hospital, those things just do not make ANY sense at all. However none of these will change just because we have crypto, that is totally irrelevant.
3882  Economy / Economics / Re: Where is the value reflected? on: August 11, 2021, 05:52:41 AM
That 415 billion was a talking point over a month ago and I have said the same thing back then and I will say the same thing now, it is the "maximum" amount that can be reached, doesn't mean it will be reached, not even 10% of that will be reached. That is only if everyone who can invest into this will end up invest into it and not like people were lining up to buy bitcoin in billions before this, so they will not do it after this neither.

All we may get is few billion at best, and that should be something we should be happy about but that's about it, nothing more. I personally really like the current situation, let's not grow huge and get ahead of ourselves, maybe we do not have to have that much investor coming in, because if they do then the price will skyrocket but that is all the money we could make, after that there won't ever be same chance again.
3883  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are panic buying right now! on: August 10, 2021, 07:41:18 PM
Let people do whatever they want to do, it has been an insane past 1.5 years, with pandemic and an increase in crypto that is surreal, we should not really judge anyone doing anything. Sure it looks like there is an overbuying going on right now and the price is having a bit hard time keep going up, but look at altcoins they are doing fine for example.

I am not really worried about doing anything excessive, I feel like we should be doing quite fine for now and I am not worried about anything in the future just because some people bought a bit more than they should. I understand that we are not really seeing those 60k+ just yet, but the path for that goes through from these prices and standing here as long as we can, who could say that we can't really see those prices or can't say here? Sure we may go down, that is always an option, but we may go up as well.
3884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum and BNB on: August 10, 2021, 07:11:22 PM
If we are going to just talk about transactions, ethereum is a decentralized place, which miners helped so far and it will continue to be like that for a while longer, however when it comes down to negatives of this is the fact gas fee reached as much as 40+ dollars at some point, if you let people decide on it, there will be greedy people who want more and there will be rich who will pay more and everyone who is poor will end up getting screwed.

This is the only reason why ethereum got lesser and lesser attention while BNB grew bigger and bigger, those people ended up screwing themselves over by getting gas fee higher and scaring off everyone else. BNB on the other hand is centralized and the gas fee could actually be dropped to zero, all it takes is Binance saying they are willing to cover the costs, which they won't but at least knowing that they have that power, it is good for transactions.
3885  Economy / Economics / Re: When debt is an asset on: August 10, 2021, 06:55:12 PM
This is exactly what me and my friend considered recently. We considered a few crypto operations there, mainly 2 things ; crypto mining and crypto ATM as well in few places, along with a few non-crypto stuff as well, such as Laundromats and vending machines, if you own the land yourself (like a few Laundromats) then you can put in bitcoin ATM machines and vending machines (and maybe even some coin pusher like arcade stuff) in front or inside of your business as well, and one warehouse for the mining operations.

We calculated we wanted 5 places total, 1 warehouse, 4 Laundromats, two in Toronto, one in Montreal and one in Ottawa, the Ottawa one looked like the least profitable business among them all.

We both have cars, and we both own our own houses, so if we sold 2 cars and 2 houses, we could afford to buy half of these right away, and the other half would be 20 year loan, everything ready and confirmed for us as well, bank was willing to give us the loan. Only thing that kept us from doing this was: fear. Debt is not an easy task, if you fail to pay it, you lose what you have on top of what you already sold. It is really not easy stuff. One bad year and you are done, own zero, nothing.
3886  Economy / Economics / Re: Trying to find a news aggregator on: August 10, 2021, 06:14:50 PM
I like these topics because I keep giving the same example : https://cryptopanic.com
You literally do not need anything else, no other newspaper, no aggregator, nothing, you just need this and you will end up learning EVERYTHING going on in the crypto world, it will certainly give you every news without missing anything.

Even the twitter feed is great enough that you will not need the news side of it, but it also has god knows how many news all coming in there. On top of that there is a comment section available so everyone talks about that certain news you see there, and you will see what people think about it. It is a marvelous place, you do not need anywhere else.
3887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burning plans on: August 10, 2021, 05:46:22 AM
When u hear/read a coin have a burning plan in their roadmap - is it a always buy in before and sell when it happen? ( Excluded shitcoins).
By the times of 2014/2015, burning bitcoin was happening more frequently per this community members' posts (by sending to a specific BTC addy, its privatekey was not at all generated). I mean burning is a known process for the attempt of increasing the value of circulating supply.

If you notice, binance is actively into burning BNB regularly (they have monthly schedule for burning process if I remember correctly); which might be a trigger for many devs to have burning as a part of their roadmap.

Simply, do not get deceived by burning plans. When a coin/token is not backed by "all the requirements of an ideal coin" then burning plans will not bring any changes to it. It may get dumped regularly regardless of whatever amount of circulating supply is burnt.
3888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 09, 2021, 06:17:27 PM
I still don't get why they care about these, it is common and known. Plus, why do we even have tampering rules? Any team should be able to talk with any player, if the player wants to go there then they will have an agreement for the summer, if the player doesn't want to then they will not do it anyway. Just because you put a deadline there and tell players and teams not to talk until that moment doesn't really change anything, and doesn't even properly make sense, you are basically limiting their freedom by doing that.

What happens if a player and team speaks on April about the upcoming free agency of that player, if you remove the tampering rule then EVERY team would be able to do that, hence they will be both free and also equal to each other as well. Never really understood this tampering accusations and that is why none of this makes sense to me.
3889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 09, 2021, 05:14:42 PM
There are so many things involved with NFT games that I do not know how to explain it in just one word. Is there a gambling involved? Sure there is some, is there an investment involved? Sure there is some. Is there gaming involved? Well yeah, it is a game. Basically there are tons of stuff that are involved with this that you have to accept the fact that some parts you may like and some parts you may not like.

For example, there are many games where you pay a simple fee where you get some sort of pack and in that pack you could get something amazing or something very useless, that is gambling, then you put that into work and that is investment, then you play with it and that is gaming. I have to say this idea could grow to be one of the best things ever, but for that to happen we really need it to keep going for a while, more and more new games will come out, and one will be so amazing that it will be bigger than PC games you see on steam.
3890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Criteria for Choosing Alt-coins to Invest In on: August 07, 2021, 08:28:58 AM
This drive me to the conclusion that investing in altcoin is one of the most risky aspect in cryptocurrency investment, and many newbies and even experienced Crypto investors have fallen victim for some of the failed and scam alt-coins projects.
Had fallen and still falling down to such traps continuously which must be an aspect to be addressed immediately so that good projects will find means to survive and investors will remain confident about crypto investments. Even failed projects are just part of every environment, we should find initiative to stop well-planned-scams so that new investors will not lose their hard earned money. Honestly I never prefer to invest into any new things so that I guess I am staying secured even I prefer diversifying my portfolio with some altcoin investments.

My practical suggestion to all the new and existing investors of crypto space, we should never be in hurry to invest in new projects. We must take time to analyse the consistency and performance of a project and then we may go for investing; this way I believe we can at least eliminate the 50% risks of investing in altcoins.
3891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Phenomenal Bitcoin In The Current Generation on: August 07, 2021, 04:48:37 AM
what about the condition of bitcoin in 5 or 6 years, considering that there are so many coins that are starting to appear, are they able to maintain their position and so is the value of buying/selling bitcoin?
Bitcoin will continue its marching toward big value and mainstream adoption regardless of how many new coins or tokens will be introduced and also regardless of whatever the level of innovation those coins to be having. In next 5 to 6 years, we can see bitcoin to test one million dollar levels at least and almost all the businesses and service providers are accepting bitcoin as one of payment options. Overall, I mean bitcoin will maintain its position and moreover it will intensify than what we have today.

Governments may start legalizing bitcoin or may declare neutral to bitcoin for whatever reasons which could be gateway point for another round of revolution of bitcoin which I guess that more easily possible.
3892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 06, 2021, 09:17:29 PM
I honestly do not feel like City made the right choice here with Jack, they should have gotten Kane because he was a better player. They paid 117 million according to transfermarkt, and if that is true I am pretty sure they could have gotten Kane for that money too right? Plus they still need a pure striker, Gabriel Jesus is a great player but he is an overall player and not a pure striker, he doesn't always look at scoring every time, he runs, he passes, he playmakes, and yes he does score as we all know. What City needed was a pure striker in front of him so that this would be a great deal for them.

In any case, I think it is still City and they are still one of the best teams in the league if not the best team as they were for the past few years. What I really want to know is, did they talked about Kane with Spurs? What was the price requested?
3893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is margin trading good for beginners ? on: August 06, 2021, 08:40:00 PM
Depends on what the "beginner" is in this case. If we are talking about a person that is beginner at crypto but expert at trading in the fiat world, then they could start with margin trading, even better than some veterans of the crypto world. However if we are talking about someone who is newbie and beginner then we are should not be considering that person as a margin trader at all and they should stay away at all times for sure.

I personally do not think that anyone should do margin trading, not veterans and not anyone else, margin trading is just way too risky for me and I managed to stay away from it as long as I can, will keep staying away from it as long as I can forever as well. If you want to test it, just do it with small amount of money so that you wouldn't be really losing too much money since it is a quite low amount anyway so you wouldn't care.
3894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new bull market Chance for the Ethereum EIP_1559? on: August 06, 2021, 08:09:20 PM
Since it is not fully in 100% affect just yet, we are still having a big trouble and it will definitely stay like this for just a while. The gas fee right now is a bit higher than what it was a week ago, and I know that sounds weird because we were expecting it to drop, but that is not going to happen overnight, something happened and it will happen to drop in price gradually because of what happened. Since, we couldn't get there quick enough.

Let's wait and see when it will happen, I really need it to drop under $1 for this to make sense, if it doesn't happen like that then this was absolutely not worth the situation at all, we should not really be happy about it unless it drops under $1, if the gas fee doesn't drop under that then why the hell did we do this anyway? We talked about this for nearly a year now, and talked about it a lot for the past 3-4 months, it should make it a lot better.
3895  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: August 06, 2021, 11:12:07 AM
The main reasons I saw investors can lose money is because they sell because of panic, if they did not sell they will still make the money back if invest good coins
Panic will play a role in your decision making only when you are not confident about the coin, you have invested.
If you choose coins after a strong due diligence then you can easily continue your holding regardless of whatever corrections you are encountering. So, TA and FA are more important not only for active traders but also for investors.

without losing money, investors won't learn much.
To learn much, you do not need to be an investor neither.

all investors must have the intention to take profits, they will force themselves to know well the effective ways to invest then.
That learning process should be done before finalizing the investments. Basically being investors in crypto space also requires lots of preparations like crypto trading and if you are too busy and unable to find time for learning then you may stick with bitcoin investments alone.
3896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Losing in trading needs questioning on: August 06, 2021, 06:05:52 AM
I usually ask myself questions whenever I have consecutive loses in trading, trying to know where I'm getting it wrong. This had helped me many times to get more trading knowledge that had improved my entire trading.
Definitely a good approach.
I usually do suggest to go for root-cause analysis to find what went wrong after every losing trade.
Because, this will definitely help anyone to correct their lagging part so that they may approach perfectly in next time. Trading is continuously learning process hence when we ask questions about losing trades then definitely that will lead to find out what we need to learn to avoid losing trades.

When getting ready for trading, we may sound like we have everything in right manner but market conditions only will show what needs to be fixed and improved. So, going for self-evaluating by asking questions will help for sure.
3897  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills and strategies on: August 06, 2021, 05:38:39 AM
Basically, it takes time and discipline to learn it, one thing.. you need high intention, if based on high intention.. it will be easy for you to master it, in various ways that can deepen it or as you mentioned above. Stay optimistic and believe in yourself that you will be able to master it.
Theoretical approach is different from what we encounter in live market conditions; it means you must master the practical approach and not just the theoretical one. Learning and mastering about trading its tactics are so easier for anyone but executing the right strategy timely manner is too difficult even for pro traders. Hence, a beginner must remain positive until practice everything in demo accounts.

We can learn 100s of trading strategies from books and videos but when to use one and how to optimize that according to our trading requirement kind of approaches will be possible only we possible if we try in live environment with least capital or in demo mode. So, learning about skills and strategies is only 10% of requirement to be successful in trading and rest are depending on how intensively you practice in live environments.
3898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 05, 2021, 07:43:29 PM
Honestly France definitely deserved the game BUT doncic is just insane, dude is just insane, he is by far the best player I have seen at that age, I do not remember any player who was as good as him at that age, sure Lebron and MJ were THAT good, MJ had a huge injury at 22 but when he came back at 23 he had 37 ppg on a season where whole chicago scored 104 points per game, so dude scored more than 35% of their points all by himself.

Lebron is once again Lebron, we all know him, same with Kobe. But can you realize just who we are talking about? I am comparing this 22 year kid with players who are considered the best ever in history of basketball, that is how good Doncic plays. And right now he was just one missed block away from going to finals, his first ever lost in 30+ games for his national team as well. I congratulate France and I am feeling sooo excited about Doncic.
3899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PolkaDot - Next Ethereum on: August 05, 2021, 05:50:49 PM
Comment box? Where was this taken from? Is this some sort of polkadot shilling thing that people copy paste everywhere? I know that polkadot is great and all but it is obviously not as good as ethereum, not for now. What people are forgetting is that Bitcoin is number one without even having a proper blockchain just because it was the first one and early on everyone started investing into that and it got the most popularity.

Why did I talk about bitcoin on a topic about ethereum vs polkadot? Because ethereum is not only second and also most popular one after bitcoin, it also has amazing technological improvements constantly, it will even have eth 2.0 that will change a lot of things. So even if polkadot improves something just a bit, that still doesn't mean that it will surpass ethereum at all, we will definitely see ethereum staying at second rank for years to come.
3900  Economy / Speculation / Re: Drop from $60k to $30k was part of bull run cycle? on: August 05, 2021, 05:14:30 PM
I guess when you look at the bigger picture, without a drop there is no increase, did we reached 20k as ATH back in 2017? Yes we did, then did we dropped to as low as 3k? Yes we did. Then did we reached 64k after that? Yes we did. Which all shows you that bitcoin could increase and decrease in cycles but in the end it is always going higher and higher, which I believe it will do once again.

I do not really criticize the falls because it allows us to buy cheaper, and I do not get excited for the increases neither because it just means it is good for that moment but as I am a long term investor I am not planning on selling the coins I am holding so it could be 64k or 100k but it wouldn't matter to me at all since I am not selling. Just stay calm and eventually bitcoin will be so much higher, it will have huge drops during that same period as well but ignore them and keep holding.
