3881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 23, 2020, 05:18:44 AM
For Cups, they are unnecessary for now, and can be canceled. Finishing leagues will help leagues to find winners with some matches left to play and help leagues and UEFA find out clubs for the European leagues next season.
You have a point but the other two cups determine other qualifying teams for Europa league:

Winners receive the FA Cup trophy, of which there have been two designs and five actual cups; the latest is a 2014 replica of the second design, introduced in 1911. Winners also qualify for the Europa League and a place in the FA Community Shield match.
Winners receive the EFL Cup,[1] of which there have been three designs, the current one also being the original. Winners also qualify for European football, receiving a place in the UEFA Europa League; should the winner also qualify for Europe through other means at the end of the season, this place is transferred to the highest-placed Premier League team not already qualified for European competition.

There’s also one worrying news which say that these matches may be shown as a subscription based model in UK, which means that people will abandon social distancing to watch these matches, and I would strongly recommend to those people to not break social distancing guidelines.
Although that's a possibility, I'm sure people will find other alternative ways of watching those matches + in the link you provided, he mentioned about positive talks in regards to showing games "on free-to-air TV channels"...

Ozil's has been receiving massive criticism from various parties the latest being Piers Morgan 1, after Ozil along with a very few Arsenal players refused the new 12.5% pay cut proposed by the club 2, The players initially rejected the trending 30% pay cut and the 12.5% cut is the lowest I've read about from a club and I believed shouldn't have been a problem for any of the players, at least not the club's highest paid player.

1. https://twitter.com/piersmorgan/status/1252477468860129281
Even though I didn't enjoy reading that news, after going over most of the comments on that tweet, I think it's fair to say that all of us can easily argue for both sides...

Will the performance of Liverpool is going to get impacted and in the end lose the title? Cheesy
I'm pretty sure the answer to that is "YES" but Liverpool wouldn't be the only affected team and I highly doubt they'll let the title slip this time.
3883  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ad Networks that pay out in Bitcoin? on: April 21, 2020, 03:52:15 AM
Wow, that is a great list, thanks for sharing the link.
You're very welcome.

The thing is, why to use a Bitcoin add network if we can use Adsense and buy bitcoin with the profit? I don't think the payment rate of the bitcoin services is high as google ads.
Google AdSense isn't an option for every user out there [unfortunately] due to restrictions based on the country of origin or their current locations.
- Back in the day, I had this issue myself (when I used to have a website) and had to find other bitcoin alternative networks.
3884  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Make all your crypto wallets unify and memorable on: April 20, 2020, 08:19:10 AM
Few notes:

  • It appears there's no support for "BECH32 (P2WPKH)" addresses.
  • We can't edit the address [only the name of the wallet and its status].
    - We have to delete then create another one.
  • You should get rid of the highlighted part in red:

How should I trust your service?
You don’t need to trust us since we don't collect any personal data of you but your email address. Keep in mind that you just need to share the public key of your wallet addresses which you want to pass to the others. So having an account with us not only does not harm you but also lifts up a big hassle from your shoulders.
  • Care to name the upcoming services?

How much should I pay to use your service?
Our service is free and will be free. We may charge you for our additional services which still didn’t launch any.
3885  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: April 20, 2020, 03:45:08 AM
I don't know how to active membership. please check your BTC and help me Sad(
Just go exactly to the page that gave you the address and that amount then there will be an option to wear your paid membership:

Once your transaction has 1 confirmation, revisit this page and then use the form which will appear in order to wear your new membership. Your transaction will not be accepted until it has 1 confirmation. Bitcoin network fees and exchange/wallet withdrawal fees will not count toward your payment.

Once you have it, you get the choice:

It will automatically activate, once payment has been updated. Don't worry Smiley
AFAIK, it's not an automated process [unless something has changed recently].
3886  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain powered marketpace on: April 19, 2020, 08:40:03 AM
A blockchain marketplace in a ****** industry with products/services of very high prices possible?
You might want to make the censored part clear so we can fully understand your question but creating a new marketplace [be it a blockchain-powered one or not] with products of significant value isn't going to be easy [in terms of gaining users].

Online shopping or renting a cab through a marketplace issued token seems reasonable, But what about products or services that cost upwards of thousands of dollars.
Not that reasonable.

Does it make sense to create a new blockchain powered marketplace for such an industry, Since a lot of currently running centralized marketplaces are profitable but cost customers a lot of money. Commissions of such marketplaces can range from 5 to 20 percent.
Not sure about the type of industry you're referring to but there are way too many marketplaces [regardless of their nature] and most don't have enough traffic [in the crypto world].
3887  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I am building a Wikipedia for Bitcointalk Heroes on: April 19, 2020, 06:49:50 AM
So I have this idea of building a wiki for the Heroes of Bitcointalk which are not recorded in the official wiki let's say a reputable member of bitcointalk should be recorded in a Wikipedia for the youngster to look at.
You can always try to "request for editing privileges" on this forum and edit the official wiki page.

I am looking for a MediaWiki site expert to be an admin of this project and someone who is experienced in writing Wikipedia articles as a contributor.
This will be my exit scam contribution to the great forum who gave us the power for a revolution if I did not make it out of this COVID-19 outbreak.
~Snipped~
The wiki is located HERE
I don't think you should call that your contribution due to the following reasons:

  • You're looking for someone else to do the contribution/management part.
  • You didn't even give it its own domain, it's just an extension to your own forum which makes everything look like an indirect promotion of your forum instead of what you're trying to present here.

IMHO, I see no reason for building this project of yours...
- You've introduced a solution for non-existent issues and at the same time making everything a bit more complicated.
3888  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Best way to cash in physical BTC coins? on: April 19, 2020, 05:33:06 AM
My account on this forum ended up getting compromised and permabanned, because someone got access to my account and started doing who knows what.  I asked for a reinstatement of my old account but that never got me anywhere.
A lot has changed, try one more time: Recovering hacked/lost accounts

Also, as these are older BTC coins, I know they can also be redeemed for bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, and all the other BTC hard forks since.  Does anyone know of any easy methods to redeem so many different coins?

LoyceV's Bitcoin Fork claiming guide (and service)
  • Read the second post on that thread if you want him to do it.

Maybe I will try and sell them here, if I end up being able to get 10% premium, that's an extra BTC for me!!
Depending on your location and courier of your choice, you might have a similar experience to this guy: Postage announcement regarding packages sent by Royal Mail
3889  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ad Networks that pay out in Bitcoin? on: April 18, 2020, 04:54:50 PM
is there any Ad Networks that pay out in bitcoin, I want any kinds of ads, does not really matter to me.
Yes, there are many but they usually don't have the best rates...

  • List of Advertising Networks
    - Since it's in a "self-moderated topic", make sure to do your own research before trying them.
    - I'm not vouching for anyone on that list.
3890  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoinEx CET daily repurchase and burning policy better than binance? on: April 18, 2020, 03:01:51 PM
And do you think it is better than a quarterly repurchase?
Yes, their daily buyback option is better now but you didn't mention up to what limit [I'm sure there will be a limit of some sort] they'll be buying CET tokens?

They should've changed the process of burning coins as well [not necessarily on a daily basis].
3891  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Localbitcoin KYC reply on: April 17, 2020, 03:12:35 AM
How they come to know about my activities? As I never mentioned during KYC. What might be their External sources?
I believe it's an automated process and most likely that's the result of an error from their side:

And what is meant by a politically exposed persons?
According to Wikipedia:

In financial regulation, a politically exposed person (PEP) is one who has been entrusted with a prominent public function. A PEP generally presents a higher risk for potential involvement in bribery and corruption by virtue of their position and the influence that they may hold. The terms politically exposed person and senior foreign political figure are often used interchangeably, particularly in international forums. Foreign official is a term for individuals deemed as government persons under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act or FCPA, and although definitions are similar to PEP, there are quite a few differences and should not be used interchangeably. The term PEP is typically used referring to customers in the financial services industry, while 'foreign official' refers to the risks of third-party relationships in all industries.

After processing nothing happened, So I contacted lbc and got this reply.
How did you respond to that PM/email?
3892  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ⛏️ hashPoWah ⛏️ Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency Mining News | Bitcoin Mining Data ⛏️ on: April 17, 2020, 02:04:30 AM
Answer 1: We used to have both dark mode and normal mode. We realised that with some article thumbnails the dark mode was not suiting to the eye. Therefore we decided to take off dark mode. If you have anything else regarding this, such as how to counter the issue we incountered, it is more than welcome.
It appears you've already chosen a certain shade for its dark mode [looks good].

Answer 2: We are currently looking into updating the ads and rotating them through-out the website, thank you for this!
Noticed while scrolling down, ads remain in the page view up to a certain area prior to it moving up [a bit annoying].

Hello guys! We've been working hard on keeping the website updated Smiley Something new is our logo.

What do you guys think?

I can't recall the previous logo but this one looks simple & good.
3893  Economy / Services / Re: Will write articles for btc or usd on cash app 1000 words =$25 or btc equivalent on: April 17, 2020, 01:33:47 AM
Will wait awhile before bumping again. I'd say 12 hours from last bump from now on
You're in no position to create flexible rules for yourself. I literally "posted the rule" that states only a single bump is allowed in 24 hrs and yet, as a native English writer [according to DarkDays] you completely missed following that rule even after pointing you to the right direction [SMH]...

Btw, apart from the sample article in OP, what/where are some of your published articles?
3894  Economy / Services / Re: Will write articles for btc or usd on cash app on: April 16, 2020, 06:20:43 PM
Ty i did indeed take your advice. It was good advice and much appreciated.
Bump
Bump
Respect the following rules...
- Delete the excess bumps and stop bumping your thread excessively.

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours.[2]
~Snipped~
21. Old bumps should be deleted. [2]

Payment expected after article is fully written and delivered via pm
Why put yourself at risk of losing your hard work for nothing?
- Always use one of the escrow providers from this forum [except me].
3895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 16, 2020, 04:28:25 PM
Great, another team to join the same route as Chelsea's and Man city's last decade...
- In other words: As an Arsenal fan, there will be little to no chance of finishing in the top 4 next season [again] Cry

How reliable that source is?
3896  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Anyone still make crypto tickers? on: April 16, 2020, 02:33:50 PM
Another interesting project...

The not so good: The backgrounds require the larger screen that they made it with, the smaller one that I used in my last build did not have the resolution so it cut off some of the screen. However, it does work fine on a larger screen:

https://i.imgur.com/BbQ2i9Bm.jpg
I think using it in a larger screen defeats its purpose and I was able to find a few other 3.5 inch screens with a resolution of 800x480 [recommended resolution for it to display everything normally] but unfortunately, I couldn't find any for your RPi 1B [still might come in handy for other builders]:
- This might not be for others that try to keep their cost low.
Take note: I'm not vouching for the following link (there are a few others on google):

Raspberry Pi 4B/3B+/3B 3.5 inch 60+FPS High-Speed 800x480 HD TFT LCD Display w/ IR

3897  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: April 16, 2020, 09:33:33 AM
I wonder if you lose activity points with that way, changing member role, do you lose your signature?  Huh
Not sure if I understood you correctly but if you meant having a Member account, then losing enough of your activity points results in demotion then you're going to have a certain signature limit based on your new rank...
- Also, certain ranks used to not get affected by this but ever since that post, I've seen a few users with those ranks getting demoted:

IIRC only Newbie, Hero, and Legendary members don't get demoted normally. Maybe I'll fix it at some point, but it's not really a big deal.
3898  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: April 16, 2020, 08:27:05 AM
~Snipped~

I don't get it. Does this mean that activity can get decreased through over time?
Normally, the answer to that is "NO" but if you only have a few posts in each activity period and all of those posts get either deleted or those threads get trashed [it'll include your posts], then you'll lose those activity points...
3899  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WEKSELL CRYPTIC EXCHANGE on: April 16, 2020, 07:02:11 AM
The first time in this exchanger, I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of exchange and the quality of service !!! I recommend !!
Yeah, right! Let's see Roll Eyes

- New account [just registered]
- Posting on this thread right after creating your account
- Log-out of the forum after posting that comment

= It's quite clear you're just another shill.

@OP: Care to answer the above questions [previous posts]?

Reply with feedback, reviews, comments, or anything you want to write about Flame.Exchange Smiley
1. Choosing a different language doesn't translate the whole website, only very few words are converted...
2. Can you explain a bit further about the "security" and "low fees" parts of your exchange [apart from their descriptions]?
3. Since you mentioned "PROFESSIONAL TEAM", Can we know who are the members behind this exchange?
