3881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to use 0.5% of world’s electricity by end of 2018 on: August 20, 2018, 09:37:58 PM
It will be interesting to know how much electricity does cryptocurrency uses around the world. The fact is that people usually don't mine bitcoins at home because antminers are very expensive and sometimes they don't have so much money at time to buy them, so instead of this, they prefer to buy GPUs which are cheaper and easy to sell anytime.
3882  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one do you prefer?Increase your Bitcoin or ِDollar? on: August 20, 2018, 09:07:40 PM
At first I want to mention that price increase/decrease of bitcoin is usually dramatic. USD can't increase that much and even if that happen, believe me, a lot of country who are depend on import, will fall in serious trouble. Bitcoin is something that can't affect country's economy that much or even if it affects, it will be positive in any way. Imagine built miners in some poor countries, people sell bitcoin and get more USD (usually usd or euro), this helps their economy to keep stable local currency when they depend on imports.
3883  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: August 20, 2018, 07:29:40 PM
If Bitdice intends to be a serious competitor competitor vs the likes of Nitrogen or Bitcoin Rush, it have to offer lines that should be as good or better imho.  And it should also offer poker as most sports gambling enthusiasts are in it for the skill part of the 'gambling game'.  Poker is a good complement for any gambling site anyway...
Adding a new genre of gambling games in their site is not to be rush with especially when they are still on the stage of implementing the sports bets on their website which still has no particular date on, just imagine adding new games without really any demand for it, the additions would be worthless. As soon as sports bets are online they must focused more on adding promotions in order to get some share in the market from NitrogenSports and Bitcoin Rush also by doing so they will make themselves known that they are competing with the two sites now. Maybe they need to grow their players/members on the new games before they could start adding more games such as poker.
To be fair, they don't have much players, usually I see very low traffic here but situation here is like quality over quantity, plays bet huge amount of bitcoin, that's hard to see on other websites so regularly. Between sports bet and poker, to my mind for website sports bet will be more profitable because once FJ had poker with great design but there was a lack of customers while demand on sports betting is high. They need to get more popular and promoting of newly added sports betting will play a huge role in overall.
3884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia is expecting ’no contributions’ from blockchain sales for the year on: August 16, 2018, 11:20:20 PM
Oh, really? I thought Nvidia would prioritize mining because of how highly has demand grown since last year. This news is very sad and it will be saddest if amd will follow then. If everything happen this way, we can say that Bitmain wins and their every action is simply amazing. Imagine, when people had hope of upcoming GPUs, it failed. Bitmain already made asics for ethereum and other altcoins, they did it and made GPUs less profitable. Now this turn can be a game changer, winner will be Bitmain of course.
3885  Economy / Economics / Re: Almost 80% of US workers live from paycheck to paycheck. Here's why on: August 16, 2018, 10:49:06 PM
I don’t agree with the title: it’s not a “good jobs” crisis, it is a behavior crisis. It is easier to save money if you make $200,000 a year than if you make $20,000 a year but what usually happens is that the guy making $200,000 a year tends also to live paycheck to paycheck. He gets a much bigger house (or two), a much more expensive car (or two), spends more on vacation and so on.

If someone has ever watched the Dave Ramsey show, will know what I’m talking about.

When you learn to spend less than you earn, i.e. you save, you have money to buy assets, like stocks, funds or bitcoin but most people go the way of debt.

oh oh wait, guys with early 200K profit live paycheck to paycheck? Then can you tell me how we have billionares? Do they live from paycheck to paycheck? What about to give them less profit and grow employees wages? Not a good idea for fatty businessmen?
Something what I like at some point in comunists is that everyone has to live equal, no poors and no multi billionares, only one class of people. The only reason I don't like this is that it kills ambitious of becoming better than others.
As I know taxes are huge in USA and almost my every friend lives in rental, people usually don't have their own home. But you have hourly wages and min 6-7$ isn't that low, you have to they nothing if you see what's wage in some other countries. People can't get as much monthly as you earn daily.
Limit profit, everything over business owner's pure 100K must be used to grow wages and donate education, healthy lifestyle...
3886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: August 16, 2018, 09:26:18 PM
To come back to more practical things... I figured I'd ask in here:
How do you determine how to best set difficulty correctly for a rig manually? Vardiff nowadays is supposed to do it, but it often takes long to adjust and is often suboptimal. Is there a "golden rule" or "middle" for the amount of shares a rig should ideally submit per minute?
Golden rule is that you have to set difficulty high enough to reduce the network and mining delays, not more because it can result in opposite. For example if difficulty is very high, then miners generate shares too infrequently, as user above me posted, his earning start to decline once it taked longer than 5 minute to find a share. So not so hard to set difficulty yourself.
3887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, blockchain, technology that does miracles on: August 16, 2018, 08:58:18 PM
The benefits which bitcoin brings us are amazing but it's absolutely nightmare for banks and goverment if they can't control it. Seems you know bitcoin is used for a lot of dark things. But I want to separately talk about blockchain. This technology even alone is really amazing, it's really a future because of it's features.
So I halfly agree you. You say bitcoin is miracle but others say not, we all talk from our opinion. For us, bitcoin is good, for banks/goverment it's bad, both side have right arguments too.
3888  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking partner / investor for my provably fair blockchain based game on: August 16, 2018, 06:02:29 PM
You have tried to sell this website before already (On discord atleast) and now you need a new investor for your already old project? that sounds like the website is doing really bad, why would anyone want anything to do with this

(p.s. op doesnt even has his own website as his signature)
It's his job what he will wear in signature but logically when you have your own website, which isn't popular, why do you promote others? For money? This means your website is shit. Sorry but it's true, understand correctly, I don't say that rudely.
Another task: there are some famous gambling websites which have a lot of bankroll but still offer investments, for example crypto-games.net
You can do the same, instead of asking here, offer investment option on your website and then make thread to promote this little funciton/ability.
Wish you success.
3889  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: "Why blockchain needs cryptocurrency?" on: August 16, 2018, 05:26:30 PM
It will be better if you often visit cointelegraph and read some news (this is my go to source).
Georgia is the first country which implemented Blockchain Land title registry, this is innovative project and adds extra layer of protection to this service, it ensures customers that all data is safe. They have their NAPR webpage where you can search with document's hash code and you can search with the same code on websites like blockchain.info (blockchain.com) blocktrail, btc.com and etc...
3890  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Thread : HOW TO BUY BTC WHITHOUT CREDIT CARD on: August 16, 2018, 05:01:59 PM
OP it's not that hard to get card, even if you aren't adult, you still can get it. For this you need to go in bank with your parents, get official permission from both of them and here you got it. Still if you don't want to get card for some reasons, there is another chance but it also depends on country where you live, for example you can buy bitcoins with pay bill machines which requires only cash for it.
3891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: At what price point people will stop mining? on: August 15, 2018, 11:55:07 PM
Why to mine ethereum endless? Use nicehash and get profit in bitcoins, hold it. If you think that you'll continue to mine ethereum with hope of future rise, some people can't think to do following: visit to whattomine.com and choose most profitable coin. Mine this, then exchange them to ethereum and hold.
People will stop mining when it can't even cover electricity fees and they turn into negative. Also consider that some may still mine while they have money for miners to run, there are a lot of factors. Even if mining will turn into absolutely negative balance, there will be some people who will mine still just for no reason or etc.
3892  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Security of crypto trading. Which trading platform and wallet are best to use? on: August 15, 2018, 11:32:40 PM
Word "best" doesn't exists because everything develops as time goes. Since you are looking for trading platform, I assume you are looking for online wallets, something like Blockchain.info (or blockchain.com as for now). I would say, when you use this wallet, always save your data because once I lost access on my blokchain account. Everything was working but somehow when I received email for login confirmation/verification, actually on website something was going wrong and I couldn't login. This happened not only to me but others too.
Trade with local exchanger (it's easy to contact them and deal with problems) or most known ones.
Here is list: https://bitcoin.org/en/exchanges
3893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia announces GeForce RTX 2080 on: August 15, 2018, 11:05:13 PM
Well yah, the new cores may help or hinder mining.  Will have to wait and see.  Expected to be 30 percent faster which doesn't always mean faster mining.  Still waiting for that 70-80 mh ethereum card.
This +1, but to my mind as they see their cards are great for mining too, I highly hope their upcoming RTX 2080 will be great for mining + nvidia isn't company which sells GPUs cheaply, this is another bonus for them to sell GPU in high price and have high supply/demand.
BTW curious is that when I google GeForce RTX 2080, google displays: Showing results for GeForce GTX 2080.
3894  Other / Meta / Re: 2 MILLION users and their STATS on: August 15, 2018, 10:32:24 PM
These stats look nice Smiley Thanks for taking the time to summarize them.

It's interesting to see that out of 2.3 MILLION users, the active users in the last month is roughly 65k. I was expecting more users to be active in the last month.

Not to mention that the users active in the last YEAR is under 100k... Not sure about you, but I was expecting at least 700k users to be active in the last year.

I wonder what is happening to them... Are they losing interest in crypto in general due to the volatility or are they moving on to other forums/social media groups?

What do you think?

There can be a some reasons of their inactivity:
1. Some users register here to create thread in scam accusation, once their problem gets solved, they forget this forum.
2. It's almost same here too, some users register to ask things about mining, hardwares or some technical things, then they get lost too.
3. Sometimes people forget password of their account when they visit forum once in a month or when they need.
4. Spam and spam...

Personally I was around this forum for year or two, was reading other threads/post, decided to ragister later. I want to say that number of members doesn't matters, guests are people who have interest in crypto usually.
3895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dota 2 - The international 2018 on: August 15, 2018, 08:27:10 PM
I like e-sports but to be fair can't find anything interesting in Dota 2, I prefer fifa and shooters but haven't played for years. But can't understand what's so interesting in dota? Prize of Dota 2 international chempionship is huge, amazing.
Do any of you play in this tournament? Wish you success...
Btw what about dota 2 bitcoin tournament from this forum?
3896  Other / Meta / Re: RED Trust...is it enough for fraudulent work ??? on: August 15, 2018, 04:57:15 PM
It's very curious, you have trust system where when user gives someone green/red trust, there is a reference link or explanation of reasons. From them and with your mind/brain, you have to decide whether trust or not user.
Looking for "ideas" how are you going to deal with scammers? Everyone can lie, no matter what you'll do, it's impossible to prevent.
And it's not our duty ensure a safe environment here for our upcoming generation. Our duty is to share knowledge and help each other. When we had bad deal, we mark them. Don't look for help in everything, take some risks on your own.
3897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is better to do with a dozen of pro GPUs on: August 14, 2018, 11:57:40 PM
You can find rendering very profitable but I have no idea where to rent your GPUs for rendering. There is upcoming project as I saw once here. The reason I say rendering is very profitabe is that every website which rents GPUs, are very expensive. On another hand you can use whattomine to decide which coin is more profitable at the moment or mine with nicehash. User above me also suggested to hold GPUs and sell them in future (I am afraid it's not a big deal). Can't see any other option...
3898  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which one is a better investment Bitcoin Or Ethereum, on: August 14, 2018, 11:38:29 PM
It's turned into shit now but guys what would you say if I vote for ether for this reasons:
1. Bitcoin will rise in future because there is upcoming halving, to my mind this will cause price rise like it did already. We saw price from 600 usd to 20000.
2. From first one, it seems like bitcoin rises and where is ether? Well, when bitcoin rises, altcoins follow it too so from this logic ethereum will rise.
3. Will it surpass bitcoin? Well, ethereum is more developed, as time goes, to my mind it will take bitcoin's place and people/companies will move on it.
Just my opinion.

MSTDR L1: dominikherzog, I don't really have a choice

hire a detective or programmer or anyone else to find out the fucking address of the owner of that exchange of shit and report them to the police and the courts or just hire a lawyer and report your case to the police and let the police investigate this exchange of shit, they may not be guilty in you case, but they are very arrogant and have no respect for their clients. I do not understand why governments are not banning any exchange that do not have a license.

They maybe don't care about it but why? I really can't understand like you. Did they take any actions against Hashocean? (for example), noo.
These bullshits said "they can promisee you what you want to hear" about refund to eth account. They don't care about this forum currently and that's why they called these claims lies. They prefer 10 eth over 2 eth as you offered them for refund, they are smarts, hah, shit exchanger with shit staff and employees.

FortuneJack
Fj that's great news but to my mind it would be better if you add Poker soon on your website and also make blog about poker, something like poker magazine or in better way (but I don't have this hope) you will be bookmaker too and review football (soccer) games. Many casino already does this thing, your blog is good too but if you prioritize gambling related topics like strategy in poker and etc, this will be amazing.
