Bitmain Is Now Mining (BTM), over 50% of hashrate, new undisclosed ASIC

I keep a close eye on Bitmain's hashrates and I had noticed a new algo pop up.

This is Tensority, which I believe is the Algo for BTM. They are currently running at 0.09GH/s which if I'm correct is approximately 55% of the coin's total hashrate.

Bitmain disclosed on the 5th of March 2019 that their hashrates on that date are as follows:

I was interested as I'd heard Bitmain mention nothing of these ASICS, nor have I seen a tensority ASIC from another manufacturer.

I also am surprised that Bitmain is running over half of the hashrate themselves and that they have chosen this Algo.

Yeah, they are "testing" their hardwares to get as much profit as possible and when they mine enough for them, then announce that they are releasing these asic miners, already tested (in reality very used). It is their politics and everyone knows it well.

I also find conflicting reports for BTM hashrate, the link you kindly provided states that network hashrate is 88MH/s.

This site here reports latest hashrate for BTM to be almost double that at 164MH/s.

I love how people just constantly ascribe bad intentions to NORMAL HARDWARE TESTS.

Of course they are going to test the hardware before selling it to a mass market. There are under no obligation to tell us what they mine, no more than you are obligated to tell me. They choose to publicly release the numbers, they are not hiding it. Also, bitmain has a known working relationship with the Bytom team and developed the first ASIC in concert with them so its a no brainer they would be supporting the network itself.

The b7 is an updated b3. The b3 was a disgrace, a very slow "asic" (1kh) that a 1080 could compete with. If bitmain eventually sell the the b7 they should offer some discount for all the b3 buyers from years back. We can only dream.

I love how people just constantly ascribe bad intentions to NORMAL HARDWARE TESTS.

I don't know why people think that using the hardware for more than a week/month until it's shipping day is normal hardware tests.

At the same time, that "hardware test" already "killed" the majority of the GPU miners of that particular coin.
Talk about greed.

It's not totally a token (Ethereum contract), it's a coin (has its own blockchain).

Once again bitmain clearly shows that they will asic attack any and every gpu coin they can.

By now gpu miners must understand this.

So they need to decide will they support an algo that will be crushed by an asic.

There are very few algos that can resist asics. I have moved on from most of my gpu mining.

I mine ltc and btc cause they have a shit ton of asic hash.

Bitman is chinese and china capitalism is worse than any other country to date in this planet. They only care about money, they are here for the money. Do not believe their disclosed hashrates they post, is a lot more than that, many times more.

early weak asics bitmain shipped to their customers ehhe, the real powerful bytom asics are used for mining up to this day at bitmains warehouse hehe, f3 for eth is one of them, 10 times more powerful than the e3. Powerful asics are never shipped to customers, all in house.

I think I found out why is was advertised as an ASIC-only coin: Google search-> Bytom partnered with Bitmain.

Uh, in that case, GPU miners are the "bad guys" in Bytom and Bitmain's eyes.
