3901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not needed but only for investment purposes on: November 14, 2020, 01:53:12 AM
Maybe the value grows as a result of limited supply to the increased demand. It hasn't got the real-time usage as people expect, but the usage of bitcoin exists. Everything grows from the scratch, and if this hasn't got any need it could've gone out of usage at the very beginning. The need for the elimination of third party involvement is possible through bitcoin. Only the continued usage can cause anything to be used long term. This is where people used it, and more people are starting to use it knowing the good. Slowly stores have begun to accept bitcoin, and this is increasing around the globe.

How will you define a stock, if you examine you'll get to know every stock backed by the company shares. When we talk of bitcoin it has the technology backing, and the usage that counting regularly will make it more worth every day.
3902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 13, 2020, 11:47:05 PM
When you go with sports betting you'll never stop if something goes out of the expectation. I had a personal experience, I used to bet on tennis matches played by popular players. If the match gives me a loss further I go with different tennis matches, even on leagues that I haven't heard of in the past.

We can say should not try to chase the loss, at times it won't be possible with gamblers. Same time calming the mind taking a break and gambling further could help in recovering the loss.
3903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Company Now Lets Travelers Pay for Passports With Bitcoin on: November 13, 2020, 03:27:50 PM
The service expansion with bitcoin acceptance keeps increasing in the global market. However it hasn't reached the direct usage. Anyhow it's a good move, because something close to the government service being done with bitcoin acceptance is a big thing.

Somehow the third party involvement is always found with most of the services with bitcoin acceptance. The real state of adoption is the direct usage and the reason for which bitcoin has been innovated is to eliminate the third party involvement.
3904  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 13, 2020, 12:27:54 AM
Whenever the market turns bullish or bearish it is good to make it an opportunity and try to benefit out of it. In whatever the angle you analyse you won't get the precise reason for the market to be bullish. Everything can be related, but one cannot state bitcoin has grown for this reason. This is why it is always mentioned bitcoin isn't an alternate to stocks. Both were entirely different by its function.

The market fluctuations with bitcoin will never happen with stocks. Maybe in some rare occasion this could've happened. This year more good news have come attributing to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies which seems to be the reason for the ongoing bull trend.
3905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long until we can bet with bitcoin in real life casinos? on: November 12, 2020, 11:54:28 PM
First of all every country hasn't given access for the bitcoin access as well as for gambling. By this time talking about bitcoin into real life casinos has nothing to do. Maybe if the government is supportive then the casino owners can take necessary steps for the usage of bitcoin and give access to the gamblers.

In real life casinos we can see everyone are quite busy and keeps on staking and changing decisions. When one does this through bitcoin there is possible chances of delay due to the transaction congestion/confirmation. This will affect the gamblers mood, so various factors need to be considered before taking it to implementation.
3906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of bounty hunters on: November 12, 2020, 11:41:34 PM
I totally support the OP statement but the naive bounty is also the reason bounty hunters are blamed for token price dump because they also believe the token sales done by bounty is enough to influence the price of new token whereas every exchange listed token should be expected dump in price after early traders receive their trading competition reward token.
It is clear that the
Bounty allocation is very small compared to the entire volume of the respective token into circulation. Finally the blame will be over the bounty hunters. However there are
platforms that perfectly schedule and let the tokens grow in value than facing decline once listed to Exchanges. When it comes to bounty Managers, in most cases they does what's been assigned to them. It is the value of the project and not the bounty hunters to be blamed.
3907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Turkey as a sponsor in a football match on: November 11, 2020, 11:59:24 PM
That's a step forward in the growth of bitcoin, once people feared of hearing the word. As the usage is mostly on darkweb needs and for gambling, people had a belief that bitcoin is the one developed to ease illegal activities. The core value of bitcoin isn't understood properly. Now slowly people have known about its value and it's multiple usage. This is why we're able to see it during the time of games.

Already several sponsor has been made by firms working with cryptocurrency. Mostly this can be seen on football matches than other games. Hope these advertising on the light boards will let people to try out and know about bitcoin.
3908  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways to get Bitcoin/ETH under 18/ trade. on: November 09, 2020, 11:44:45 PM
Actually age doesn't matter when you want to buy BTC or ETH, but some exchange rules require users to confirm their identity and of course those who have identities must be over 18 years old. If you still don't have an official government identity, you can rely on the identity of your parents yourself as that would be the best way out.
Or buy BTC and ETH on the p2p market without the need for KYC or on a Decentralized Exchange like Binance DEX which can be used for free to buy and sell lots of altcoins.

I was impressed when you came and understood cryptocurrency at the age of 16. Even at that age, I still didn't understand cryptocurrency.
Myself too thought of the same. It is a good thing OP has known much about bitcoin before 18. Interesting thing, even the tech people weren't aware of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. At the age of 16 buying bitcoin is possible, but for the same you require a banking account. Almost every bank gives access to create their own minor bank account under their parents. One such account can be created and used for the purpose of buying bitcoin.
3909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unique to man. on: November 09, 2020, 05:57:25 PM
Bitcoin isn't unique to man, it is an unique development by man. Bitcoin isn't the first digitized currency human have used. Already there is few cryptocurrencies in the market, and none have gained such a great acceptance as bitcoin. Maybe in the earlier days it is used for bad, but the technology gave a big outcome. Bitcoin having the limitations on production is the one that makes it even more unique when we compare it against the inflationary fiat which is printed whenever required.

Right now the usage of technology and bitcoin is getting widespread, as people have started to realise the truth and uniqueness of blockchain and bitcoin.
3910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 09, 2020, 12:57:35 PM
I haven't tried with any of the scam service associated with gambling. I've tried multiplier software schemes and lost my earnings on those multipliers. I came across this multiplier script accidentally. Further I contacted that respective person and he provided with bitcoin address. I was instructed to send bitcoin that needs to be doubled. Down to the site I saw more number of transaction history mentioning the amount send and received. This made me believe in it, and send bitcoin to get scammed.
3911  Economy / Speculation / Re: Altcoin still feasible? Profit or loss? on: November 09, 2020, 12:19:28 PM
Alot of people are basically expecting 2017-2018 to happen all over again. They see that Bitcoin is mooning and they are expecting bitcoin to top somewhere and that the money will go into altcoins. And then altcoins will get pumped and then at their peak, the money will go into fiat and tether. This is why ETH reached $1400 in Jan 2018 while BTC reached an ATH the month prior.

The problem is that we were tricked twice in the past of this "alt season" happening. First time it was in June 2019 and second time in Feb 2020 when BTC was surging higher and higher. And people bought the regular alts like LTC, XRP and look at how poorly these alts are compared to BTC or fiat. They are hitting records lows pretty much again BTC. So yes it does seem like a good idea to invest in alts, however its very difficult timing and catching the bottom.
The expectation is big from the cryptocurrency users. Whatever might be, we cannot expect growth without dumping. Cryptocurrency too isn't an exception to this philosophy. From my personal understanding about the market it is always good to take decisions as per the market and the capital available for the same. The predictions for the year was to overcome the previous ATH. Just because of the covid-19 people haven't started to speculate on bitcoin above $20000+

As mentioned there will be assured altcoin bear trend, but this happens quite after little time period from the bull trend of bitcoin. Another important thing, with the previous bull market even the altcoins without any usage peaked high. This time users should not have such a thought, it is always good to have expectation over the promised altcoins of the market.
3912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Risks Of Bitcoin Going To Zero Has Gotten More Lower Than Ever on: November 09, 2020, 11:44:36 AM
Risks of bitcoin going zero is very narrow. It is like an elephant passing through a needle hole. As bitcoin is speculative people with large volume of funds and the Whales try to shatter the market, by the time people with small holdings get into panic. This is being used as a way to profit by the whales. These kind of price fluctuation is quite common with cryptocurrency, based on which zero is impossible.
3913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambled against Biden - funniest instance on: November 09, 2020, 05:25:03 AM
That's true fun, and Hungarian President is truly courageous. In one of the post it is mentioned as the Prime Minister of Hungary making the bet and lost it. Even after losing the bet, he has revealed it to the world. More other presidents might've gambled on the US election, but everything is kept confidential to have mutual relation as USA is the powerful country of the world.
3914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Stays Above USD 13,000, Altcoins Take Hit on: November 09, 2020, 01:01:04 AM
After the price crossing $15000 there is no big hit with altcoins. Most of the altcoins were growing along with bitcoin, which means there is intermittent growth with price being the same. This intermittent growth is good for traders. Probably this growth in altcoins of top list will continue along with bitcoin.

The USA election result is associated with the growth happening on bitcoin market. For some reason, even before the election the market has been moving upwards gradually.
3915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: November 08, 2020, 11:59:25 PM
ETH has always occupied at least 30% of my entire portfolio come thick or thin. This reduces the risk of losing all my portfolio to scam altcoin projects, since BTC actually takes at least 50% always. However, this doesn't condemn other altcoin holders, it's always good to hold coins belonging to projects you believe in long term. The major reason why I think ETH will do excessively well in the long run is because many projects depend on ETH blockchain and the team keeps building. I've lost count of DAPPS built on ETH.
If your major holding is ETH and Bitcoin then you made the best investment in the cryptocurrency space, there are many projects in the market but how many meaningful projects can be successful in the long run is always a big question and we hardly see many projects that survived the long run and my theory will always be get in and get out safely rather than holding them for a long period.
Almost every cryptocurrency hodlers portfolio will be having bitcoin and ethereum in large percentage compared to the rest of the cryptocurrencies. This is all because of its growth and the real-time usage. When something has got the real circulation the volume automatically gets boosted and so is the growth.

Ethereum can be stated as the king of altcoins for various reasons, the volume of ethereum will stand against the rest of the entire altcoins. Ethereum served as the base platform for the development of majority of the altcoins available in the market. Right now everyone are keen on the next update which is predicted to make a big pumping in the market. Bitcoin is king of cryptocurrencies whereas ethereum stands next holding the entire altcoins under its control.
3916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 08, 2020, 11:39:36 PM
I find two reasons for the losing on sports betting. By the time it is true that sports betting has got higher winning percentage compared to casinos.

  • Most of the time gamblers have the mentality to bet on the higher odds. It is evident opponent has the highest chance of winning based on stats and team power, but the odd selection made on luck out of winning big causes loss.
  • Everytime the gambler experience a loss, he/she tries to recover the loss on the consecutive match. Here the important thing, the odds were selected on luck as they don't have any information about the players and the team. This game is being played only to recover the loss happened in the previous game. Here the luckiest win while others continue losing.
3917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Reasons You Should Know More Before Buying Bitcoin (BTC) on: November 08, 2020, 11:24:27 PM
As per my personal knowledge a newbie should learn or know about the following features before buying or making an investment on bitcoin.

  • Volatility
  • Wallet Usage
  • Quick rich scheme
  • Security
  • Multiplier schemes
  • Scam Approaches
  • Trading Signals
  • Market manipulation
  • Basics of trading
  • KYC requirements

These are some basic things one need to go through when he/she hasn't got any prior knowledge about cryptocurrencies as well as hadn't bought bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.
3918  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Bitcoin dumping right now? on: November 07, 2020, 11:59:33 PM
Everything had got its reason. Whenever some specific event happens in the world relating to economy, the whales try to make profit out of it. One such plan is the market dump that happened once after the US election results were announced. Relative to the same there'll be speculations running around for a while which in turn gets to be the regular growth.

USA is the largest country that has the majority of users and usage compared to the rest of the world. Based on the same, a political change is a big thing and the same has caused the market dump. Probably the same is predicted to make a market pumping sooner.
3919  Economy / Gambling / Re: bookmaker = please help on: November 07, 2020, 10:03:55 PM
If they aren't responding then the only possible way is to locate the office and reach for support. Probably they'll show the rules to which you've agreed at the very beginning of the site usage. This gambling site doesn't have any support team for Bitcointalk, if so you could've got atleast a response on the issue. If you're in a country where cyber scams can be complained, go for it. Maybe that can help you, no other go.
3920  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best DEX trading platform on: November 07, 2020, 09:04:20 PM
Mostly traders prefer comfy with the centralized exchanges than the decentralized ones. With decentralized exchanges we need to open the trade and stay until it gets executed. If anything in between happens(chances are low) it'll make us stand barehands, as we can't request for support anywhere. Only thing beneficial is to stay anonymous.

Centralized exchanges always have trust factor, and to keep up the business it is a must to give the best to the users. This way centralized exchanges stand higher than decentralized exchanges. In recent days I find uniswap to be good to users who haven't used to traditional practice of trading.
