Da zaista, nije platio. Potpisao je atribuciju brojeva komunalcima tj. simulirao prijenos količine kovanica. Kako je samo bezobrazan ovaj FatFork. Vara pošten narod svojom atribucijom brojeva. Sramotno. Ja mislim da bi ti to trebao objasniti ovim komunalcima jer će ih FatFork sve prevariti. A poslje njih i sve nas. Sad ozbiljno. Jel imaš neki zacrtan datum kad namjeravaš opet otići sa foruma i ponovno utihnuti na par mjeseci, ili je to nešto što odlučiš u hodu?

Bitcointalk shows a torrent link for the most recent Bitcoin Core version in its news field. Right now, that's version 23.0. You could still find some older versions just by editing the address. For example, instead of downloading version 23.0 from https://bitcointalk.org/bitcoin-23.0.torrent, just change the '23' into a '22' and you will download the torrent link to version 22.0. Not sure how many versions are stored though. Changing it to 21 won't download v 21.0. The download link is maybe different for that one. You can also find links to old versions that were advertised in the news field using Wayback Machine. Besides that, there are many old discussions that used to link to the early Core versions, but they just don't work anymore. Check out Bitcoin source from November 2008, v0.1, or how can I get a copy of the original source (0.1.0)? for example.

Plan ahead and make the necessary preparations while you are still alive. Your family inherits your possessions and assets, unless you make a will and give it all to someone else. This also depends on the country you live in. Some countries don't allow individuals to be excluded from inheriting what is legally their fair share. For example, a father who has 3 sons, can't exclude one of the sons from inheriting his fair share even if he makes a will. He can only do that if the excluded son tried to hurt or kill his parents.
Let's get back to bitcoin. To avoid legal complications and procedures, show your family how to access your crypto and what to do after you are dead. Even if your heirs inherit everything you have, including your bitcoin, that means nothing if they don't have the means (seeds and keys) to access those coins. That's the beauty and danger of a non-custodial asset.

You can however, calculate the risk. At the moment, I'd probably go out on a limb, and say the only immediate threat that I see would be global bans of Bitcoin. I don't see a threat of the underlying asset being banned. But banning it's generation and its coming to life through PoW mining activities is surely something many would love to see getting banned or restricted. That would kill the bitcoin we know without restricting people from using it. The other things that could push the value significantly down would be vulnerabilities discovered, but hopefully we won't have too many of those in the future as that can definitely drag consumer confidence down. The code has been out there for so long. It's been reviewed and thoroughly checked by both honest and malicious actors. One should never say never, but I think we are a long way from someone finding and taking advantage of a serious vulnerability or a bug in the codebase.

I already used digital currencies long before I got interested in Bitcoin. The problem was, they were centralized such as Liberty Reserve. The first time I heard about bitcoin and the first time it got offered to me, has to be either in 2010 or 2011. Without doing any research, I rejected the idea of being paid in this relatively unknown coin at that time. I could have filled my pockets with hundreds and thousands of BTCs only if I knew then what I know now. But, I am not complaining and I am still happy I got in relatively early.

So is this the beginning of adoption of bitcoin in Africa ? I think after Namibia, other African nations will follow the same and bitcoin should become a medium of exchange in African countries. Only time will tell. This announcement doesn't make Bitcoin legal tender. The Central Bank has just decided to look the other way, and it doesn't mind that individuals or businesses use virtual assets (that's the term they use and not Bitcoin) as a medium of exchange. But they still warn their citizens of the dangers of using unregulated currencies (cryptocurrencies), and they are considering introducing a Namibian CBDC. If that happens, they would rather have people use the centralized government asset rather than bitcoin, which they can't touch or regulate.

Upravo platio sve režijske račune putem Bitcoina, uključujući i komunalnu naknadu lokalnoj samoupravi...

I did it before and I do it now But that's very rare, and you will hardly come across many people that do that. It's an exception to the rule, so to say.
Btw, @NeuroticFish, you are still wearing the old Bitcoincleanup.com avatar. There is a new and sparkly one. Although, the old one looks cleaner and more rounded.

Thanks for bringing it up! I've actually tried it once and was really disappointed. This is not a Muun review, but a few points. 1) No control. Whatsoever. No coin control, no UTXO view, not even the ability to view what amount of your 'Bitcoin balance' is on-chain or off-chain. 2) No ability to manage your own Lightning channels. 3) No ability to change the Electrum or Lightning server it connects to. 4) I moved a relatively small amount of BTC to it over Lightning, and a few hours later I couldn't get it back out through Lightning. Well, I could, but the extremely high fee (compared to the LN transfer I used to fund it) indicated that they moved almost all of my funds (like, except a few sats) to an on-chain address and to get it back out through LN, I had to pay for a submarine swap. This was super annoying, as I assumed to be able to quickly deposit and withdraw some funds from it at almost no cost, just to quickly test the application.

Well, to be honest, everyone will be willing to wear a free signature depending upon availability. This means that if you are not in a campaign, your signature and/or avatar is free, so wear anything for free promotion or for a social cause. Not exactly. There are members of this forum who aren't in any signature campaigns and they never apply for any either. But they also don't seem willing to advertise things for free, so they either don't care about signatures in general, they don't think it's a good idea, or they don't want to be told what to do. The true essence of this question should be that will you be willing to let go of your signature in order to wear another signature for free for a noble or social cause. That's not something I expect people to do nor should anyone be asked to do something like that.

I don't think that there are any rules from which boards those 10 posts should be, but it kinda makes sense that if you are applying for a local board merit source (and some people do that), it kinda makes sense to include mainly posts from that local board, therefore showing that local board is indeed under merited and that it needs more merit sources. Valid point, but that creates some other limitations. Shamm already mentioned one - the lack of good local posts that are under merited. The second one being, most people outside of that local have no idea what the post is saying. If I saw random Pilipino posts, I would have to run them through Google Translate to get a basic understanding. The applicant might not get a lot of support from the Bitcointalk community or they will get "fake support" by those who haven't even checked the posts in question because many people won't bother translating foreign language posts to check whether or not they deserve merits. Lastly, it gives theymos and anyone else who decides who gets appointed as merit source the same burden and workload.

Not sure if negative trust accounts are allowed... Everyone who wants to is allowed to participate. The first project we are advertising is BitcoinCleanup.com. Check out the website, take a look at the signature campaign, and the unofficial social media campaign and decide if this is something you would like to advertise. Secondly, promoting for free would be our part but are these projects asking you for free promotions? Considering their status, I don't think they might be looking for free promotions. No one has asked me for it. Which projects are you referring to exactly when you talk about status? Not that many names were mentioned in the posts. I suggested Bisq at a time when I saw a few discussions about it, and then NotATether created BitcoinCleanup.com and I felt that is more important to talk about than Bisq. So a very important questions arriving here is "are those projects paying you?" I am not being paid, no.

<Snip> As I mentioned in the OP, I would appreciate if we don't discuss projects, motivations, what to promote, and what not to in this thread. This discussion was created to get feedback from the community and see whether or not they are interested in promoting something for free. That's all. I will quote your post and answer it in Forum advertising space for free signature/avatar advertisement.

Unfortunately I had a relapse and after withdrawing 1/3 of the amount won i played the remaining. That's too bad. I hope you manage to find professional help because you are going down a path that is self-destructive. I hope you will turn things around. This was surely the plan of the casino anyways knowing I was a compulsive gambler. That doesn't matter. The decisions you took are yours and so are the consequences. They refused to pay my winning at once ( I would have settle for less) The withdrawal rules and maximum allowed amounts were clearly explained. You were allowed to withdraw according to those weekly limits. Unfortunately there is not protection for vulnerable players, I would have loved to take less money and close my account but They refused so I had to fight a battle with myself and of course I have lost it. And who is to say you wouldn't have gambled with that smaller amount? Or waited a month and then gambled it all away on this or some other online casino? You need to protect yourself and those close to you. If you don't no one else will. Good luck!

I watched the Juventus - Maccabi Haifa match last night and would like to single out two players who were without no doubt the players of the match.
Adrian Rabiot, but not just because of his two goals, which were beautifully executed. Particularly the header for 3:1, which is one of the better ones I have seen in recent years. He ran his ass off yesterday. He was good in attack and in the defensive aspects of the game recovering possession with perfectly-timed sliding tackles.
The other one is Di Maria who achieved a hattrick of assists. Maccabi's defense allowed plenty of space and Angel took advantage of it all. I do hope that Allegri will manage to pair him up with both Vlahovic and Milik in certain matches because it's a shame to leave Milik on the bench with the way he has played so far. Di Maria's passing capabilities are excellent and he should be given a more free role in attack to move left and right on the pitch.

it's good to have someone from my fellow Filipino to apply as a merit source but I think it's hard to find 10 quality thread from my local because as of now only few quality threads created a few months ago. Merit source application requirement is not to find 10 quality thread, but to find 10 posts that according to applicant didn't receive enough merit, and there is a big difference between post and a thread. If you actually meant post, and if no one on your board can't find 10 undermerited posts in the last few months, then I guess that you don't really need more merit. Someone correct my if I am wrong, but if you are applying to become a merit source, do you have to show 10 under merited posts/threads from your local sub ONLY? A merit source application is supposed to show that you know what a merit-worthy post is supposed to look like. And theymos doesn't select merit sources to distribute merits in specific local boards only. You do it everywhere. With that in mind, find any 10 posts that you believe are merit-worthy but they haven't received enough merits. I feel like that should be enough.

Was there an initial ordeal made by Theymos in respect of banning signature campaigns lately? I am sure theymos isn't considering such actions. He is aware what that would do to the activity of Bitcointalk. Posts written thanks to signature campaigns and various bounty activities amount to 85-90% of the forum's activity. Remove that, and you are left with 30-40 bitcoiners participating in an occasional discussion or two. Imagine running a food market and deciding to ban the sale of fresh fruit and vegetables, and allowing only seeds and animal food, for example. You are still going to have customers, but you stabbed yourself in the eye just to see if you will bleed. There is no need to do that.
