Hi Theymos. I upgraded to Copper but still unable to post images. Any thoughts on what I can do?

I just looked at your posts and I can't find where you tried to post an image.

Use the following:

Code:
[img]http://domain.com/file.jpg[/img]

It needs to be the link to the image file, not the web page.

I am not an official and neither is TheQuin. We are just two long-term users of Freebitco.in with a passion for the site that introduced us to Bitcoin and micro transactions. {Well, speaking for me...that is}

Since wetsuit posted this on my trust wall:

Quote
TheQuin is the community manager for FreeBitco.in and will handle all issues and comments regarding the website on this forum.

I guess I kinda am now although I'm not particularly keen on the terms 'official' or 'community manager'. Neither really seem in keeping with the anarchic nature of Bitcoin or the forum. I mainly do it because I share that passion for the site. Getting paid for what I was mostly doing anyway is a bit of a bonus. I did think maybe I should change the way I deal with people on here, but then I thought if wetsuit didn't like it he would have asked me to do this.

You still have not given me a single

alternative for funding millions of faucet users, other than gambling or mining. Cmon, I thought you had all the solutions.  Wink

He hasn't got one. Here's just here crying like a baby because we're making it harder for him to leech off of us.

I still like the platform though  Smiley

Same here. That and the margin lending rates are much better than anywhere else. Even though they can be low for longs periods if you catch a few waves it really adds up.

i wouldn't take it as an ominous sign. seems like a standard money hungry one to me.

Exactly. More customers plus more coins equals more commisions.

They reduced the $10k requirement to $1k. I think it is a great idea if they just move them to Ethfinex and rename it Shitfinex.

https://www.bitfinex.com/posts/243

Why the f*** are they adding tokens to Bitfinex when the made Ethfinex?
3905  Other / Meta / Re: It's no wonder we are infested with bounty and airdrop spammers on: May 01, 2018, 12:10:14 PM
I'm all for bringing back Newbie Jail at least until they've proven they're not spambots at least. I've brought up the Jr. Member signatures issue before. I'm sure when theymos removed links from them he wasn't expecting the spam sig campaigns to carry on paying them for using text URLs.
3906  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 01, 2018, 11:58:08 AM
hello!
I have problem with deposits. My transaction has more than 10 confirms but it still does not update to the balance. how to fix it? thanks

I've already emailed admin to let him know about this. It seems there is something causing a delay in the balances being updated. It should be shown on your balance soon.

3907  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 01, 2018, 11:50:52 AM
Looks like my deposit is delaying too Sad is it common problem for all accounts now  Huh

Probably just one the servers is overloaded or something. I'll email admin and let him know.
3908  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 01, 2018, 10:26:14 AM
I received my money. Thanks Cheesy.

Sorry for the delay. That happened to me once before, but it is very rare.
3909  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 01, 2018, 10:06:31 AM

It's probably just a delay on the servers. Let me know via PM if it is not there in another 30 minutes and I'll contact the administrator. It'll probably be credited before I can get hold of him.

I live in Iran.
They are making a new North Korea here.
Today they decided to ban some foreign sites.
I can not play free roll anymore, using vpn is more dangerous Sad

I'm sorry to hear that but there's not much I can do about government censorship.
3911  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 01, 2018, 08:30:16 AM
I can't access freebitco & freedoge .
What's happening? Huh

I can, so you tell me.
3912  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Misconception of “High Quality” on: May 01, 2018, 07:49:50 AM
The posts that are getting merited don't necessarily have to teach you something, and they don't have to be witty. Because we all have our own ideas about which post is worth a merit there may be as many definitions as there are users. >~< I think that all of them gave some interesting opinions and all of their opinions differed from each other, thus IMO they deserve a point.

I absolutely agree with this and my ideas about giving merit are based on this:
A forum provides many functions beyond education, it's more a community of people with shared interests. Making a valuable contribution to that community can manifest itself in numerous ways that others will consider worthy of merit.
3913  Other / Meta / Re: It's no wonder we are infested with bounty and airdrop spammers on: May 01, 2018, 07:24:43 AM
He recently did that with the Politics & Society admin picking thread.
What if it could be a paid gig? Each time you report something that is legitimately BS, you get paid a small amout of btc. Kinda like a faucet.
But not everyone can do this, maybe a select group of people who are not biased against signature renting but do not have paid signature spots themselves.

Makes sense?

The problem with all incentives is the possibility to be abused, but making it sort of sub-moderator job might be a good way to deal with that. I guess that really leaves the question of whether there is a budget to pay for it.
3914  Economy / Exchanges / Coinfloor UK banking changes on: May 01, 2018, 06:51:03 AM
I received the email below this morning. Does anyone know what is behind this? Are they having problems with regulators or is there more to it?

Quote
Dear Customer,
From the beginning of May, Coinfloor UK will change the process for handling fiat deposits and withdrawals.

Going forward, please ensure that you always check the latest instructions on the DEPOSIT or WITHDRAWAL pages prior to sending any deposit or withdrawal of fiat currencies as we will be using multiple banks and financial providers going forward and these instructions could change regularly.

During the transition to the new process, there may be some disruption to our normal transaction processing times. Please rest assured that these changes are being rolled out to ensure a more reliable service going forward.

Thank you in advance for your patience.

the game is not worth the candle (as they say in my part of the world)

The RP program is designed for humans to use not to be exploited by botters. You need to claim more than 12 times a day to make using them 'profitable' in RP terms so we expect people to use them on a day when they can claim a few more times than that. The fact that parasites use bots to exploit it is the very reason we cannot increase the rewards to make it more worthwhile.
3916  Other / Meta / Re: It's no wonder we are infested with bounty and airdrop spammers on: May 01, 2018, 06:23:58 AM
I don't know how many members report spam posts, but I think it's less than a 100, but if someone has statistics about it, I'm really interested...

theymos has previously released data about reporting, including a leaderboard of top reporters, but that was a long time ago and I haven't seen any recent numbers. It isn't possible to get any stats on that unless theymos makes it public.

The other thing can be that most of the members (spammers, but not bots) don't really read back when they post something, (because it's so obvious to spot these bots(?) when they copy something from a few posts above...) so they don't realize that bots are copypasteing parts of other posts...

Therein lies the root of what makes this forum so frustrating.
3917  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 01, 2018, 06:09:02 AM
Is there admin?
I have attempted to withdraw several times, but I can not receive confirmation link, the withdrawal has been canceled.
I have been reported that my account was whitelisted before.
Was there something wrong?

The most common thing is the that the confirmation email is in your spam folder. Add noreply@freebitco.in and support@freebitco.in to your address book, try again and check your spam folder. If it still doesn't work then PM me your user ID and the email address and I'll pass it on to admin to check.
3918  Other / Meta / Re: It's no wonder we are infested with bounty and airdrop spammers on: May 01, 2018, 05:32:49 AM
My personal favourites are when newbies (or jr.members) copy 2 sentences from an earlier post from the same page of the topic... If they made the effort to search for a similar topics and copy something from the posts found there, it would be much difficult to spot them, but they simply don't care...

I think those ones might be bots. Copying from the same thread is their way of making it on-topic. They don't seem to realise that anyone who is following the thread and reading will spot it instantly.
3919  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 01, 2018, 05:22:41 AM
We have now been unblocked on both sites!

This happened sometime after my last post...KUDOS to whomever saw the truth in what happened!

That was because the PM you sent me not the post here. It has taken a bit longer than normal to sort out because wetsuit is tied up with personal matters.
3920  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: May 01, 2018, 05:19:55 AM
The trend basically is not only that sMerit awarding per week keeps on getting lower, as seen in coinlocket$’s data that I too track personally, buy the scope of new merited users is getting lower as time goes by.
I would have expected that new merited users per week to have an upward trend if the Merit System were to be sinking in properly, and not the opposite as seems to be happening.

I think expectation might be a bit optimistic here. The number of new users getting merit for the first time is probably higher at the start as people have been slow to work out what the system is for. (I mean the vast majority that doesn't read or care about Meta).

After that settles down then we left with new signups to the forum. Of the current average 462.69 registrations per day what number are here because they just heard about Bitcoin and/or crypto and are interested in getting involved? Compared to how many are spambots or just heard on social media somewhere that this was the place to earn money online.

I'd guestimate the former of those two categories to be in the low double digits weekly.
